Nikko Station Hotel II bankan

Room

Room was clean

Room is very small and don’t have a long mirror in the room. They only provide a small mirror where I have to bend down to apply my face lotion. Room is clean and location is excellent in downtown, opposite the Nikko Tobu station. Hotel is quite new with complimentary breakfast. Air conditioning is working great and after checking out, we can still store our luggage until it’s time to catch the train. Only setback is upon checking in, they should inform us that breakfast is complimentary.I only found out about it, when I read the notes on the table in the room

Good location near both stations and shopping and dining options. Basic breakfast provided. Room generally clean with a few minor areas needing cleaning.

A nice, clean hotel conveniently located very close to the station. The top floor offers a lovely view, and the simple breakfast was a good start to the day. Overall, a comfortable stay for one night in Nikko.

This hotel has an excellent location, just 5 min walking from the Nikko Station. The hotel's staff is super friendly and they can keep your luggage before and after check-in or out. Rooms are quite big, and they include bathtub, and fridge. There's a coin laundry near the place, and the main temples and the downtown can be easily reach by foot (around 20-25 min to Nikki Toshogu)

This hotel is very close to the train station. Amazing breakfast. We would stay here again.

Our stay was fairly comfortable, and the location relative to Tobu-Nikko station is very convenient. The complimentary breakfast was limited, but not bad, and better than nothing at all. The pillows were lacking, and the bed was a little hard, but we managed. The Mountain View from our window was nice, especially the pink and purple sky just after sunset. If we return to Nikko, I think we would stay here again.

For the price amazing hotel.

A great stay with a beautiful view.

Not enough facilities.

Noise from the water pump can be heard all night whenever someone use the water. It is very noisy! It feels like a phone vibrating on silent mode. Staff are not very helpful when you ask for info around the area. Bed and pillow are too soft, neck and back ache after wake up. Hotel is near to the train station though.

The area is convenient. It's close to town, the train station, restaurants, and a grocery store. The room is good enough for 2 people and the view was amazing. The staff were corteous and hospitable.

the location is good, the building is new, the design is simple (simple is good). clean and spacious. the staff are polite. but the hotel has only 1 set of washer and dryer. it spins all day, finally, i have to go to the laundry shop outside, it is 10pm and very cold outside.

A short walk from the JR station that provides good value accomodation.

Beds were uncomfortable and hard. No air conditioning after 7 pm and in fact no choice as it will only blow hot air after 7. Bare minimum breakfast but guess you get what you pay for. Nice if you are wanting something cheap and not expensive

The property provides good service to the traveler. Walkable from the station. It is very convenient. The breakfast could improve.

Great hotel. Near the town center. Close to grocery store. Clean, quiet and friendly staff. A

Ok

Everything is so efficient at check-in, plus they stored my luggage for me before and after check-in, which was a real help. Room was tidy and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful room with plenty of space and all the amenities we needed.

was a nice place to stay in nikko. came with complimentary breakfast which was great

Barebones basic hotel with a terrible breakfast. Staff is efficient though. I'm surprised it's considered a good option in Nikko, but I guess that reflects more the dearth of quality hotels there than the quality of this particular place.

Super small room, and the room has a bad odor. Free breakfast is no longer buffet style. One hard boiled egg, one slice of bread, one roll, watery coffee, and small salad. Each person is limited to one tray. We didn’t bother to eat their breakfast.

Great location near to the station. Easy walk to restaurants. Room was bigger than expected. Quilt was super soft and fluffy, like sleeping surrounded by a cloud (this offset the firm mattress).

I would stay here again and again. The Lion Supermarket is 2 minutes away walking distance; the station is 5 minutes. Very nice place.

Excellent hotel

Great location very close to the Nikko station which was important to us so we could catch the World Heritage & Lake Chuzenji busses at the starting point to get seats. Walking distance to many good restaurants and shops. The breakfast was simple (& the same every day) but fine. The front desk provided many amenities free. I subtract a star because the bed was SO hard and the one measly pillow was so flat. My back hurt so much after all the walking all day followed by such an uncomfortable bed. But Nikko was lovely, safe, & a great stop for 1-2 nights.

Close to train station and the buses that take you to temples

Great for a short stay.

Breakfast was supplied but is very basic. Staff are friendly. Room was normal Japan size however you could pull the bed out from the wall just enough to step out. Very limited dining options in the area...almost non existent as everything closes between 4 and 6.

Rooms were not quiet. Noises at night very hard to sleep. Multiple beeping can be heard through walls in room 528. View was nice. Not a lot of table space. Carpet feels not clean. more outlets needed.

staff was very friendly and breakfast was appreciated

Free breakfast, its basic but free. Good location, near the train and bus station just off main street near a grocery store.

Great value for money

I love this hotel because of convenience, close to Tobu-Nikko station, view of my room's window and good smell of soup and champoo.

Very convenient

Only simple breakfast is provided.

Good spot. We had an all ages group and the teens loved having their very own rooms for a few days. The organization of the hotel was very thoughtful for both Japanese and English-speaking tourists. Eg long list of stuff you can borrow in case you forgot, tea and coffee always available in lobby, robes and slippers, laundry machines (which we didn’t try). Very convenient to buses and trains. Beautiful views of the mountains surrounding Nikko from our rooms.

Just plain bad. I don't have any words to describe the sadness of the place. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we decided to check out after the First one. If you're in Nikko and have no other options consider it, i mean it is clean and staff is rather nice.

Good location, very close to train station. Clean and I liked that they provided breakfast as well as different amenities!

Very close to the station, quiet and the room was spacious. Breakfast not ideal for gf vegans.

Breakfast was included, but it was very basic, a boiled egg, roll, 1slice of bread and a small salad. The room was decorated with chip board, giving it a cheap, unfinished basement look. Other than this, the service was fine, the location was quiet and had a short 3 minute walk to the train and bus stations. This made it very convenient to visit the heritage shrines and Edo wonderland (note that the free bus to Edo wonderland is a little farther, at a different train station , maybe a 29 minute walk from the hotel.

Great hotel near the train stations in Nikko and walkable around town to restaurants, shops and grocery store. Staff were also very nice.

A normal and little old hotel

Loved it!

The rooms are small and very basic. It would be helpful to have some hooks along the wall and in the bathroom. Otherwise, it was great for location as it's close to the bus and train station, and also there is a grocery store just up the street.

Although not a fancy hotel, location is great, very close to the train, bus stop and super market, simple hotel but clean

Good location close to public transport and a lot of dining options.

Good accommodation for a few nights Great staff, and very helpful Simple breakfast but adequate Great location. Close to the train station and Main Street.

A well run hotel at a bargain price. Staff most helpful.

An overnight stay only. A few minutes walk to Tobu-Nikko Station and the bus terminal.

Great location and great value for the price

Location was great, 5 mins away from Nikko station and ideally placed for exploring. The check in was easy and staff were nice and friendly. Complementary breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great affordable place to stay if you want to do some sight seeing. This hotel was the perfect location right next to the station. We only stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

So close to the Tobu line Nikko train station! The facility is new and very well equipped. The room was a good size. For only an extra 500 yen you can go to their associated hotel about 7 minutes walk away for public bath/Osen! There's a lot of restaurants in the area but they close early, last resort is the supermarket 5 minutes walk away (opposite to the train station) they have microwave in the hotel so it's a good chance to try Japanese frozen food! (They're so good!) They have a good breakfast which starts very early, which is great because options for food is limited in the morning.

Nothing fancy. It was clean and quiet. Convenient location to train, bus, and restaurants in Nikko.

The location of this hotel is great, being between the two main stations. It appears to be one of the best hotels in the town. The room was interesting, being adapted to fit the curved shape of the building. The staff were excellent and spoke very good English. The free buffet breakfast was basic by Japan standards but still had a good range of options.

Location was very good, close to dining , train station, supermarket and shopping. Kitchen staff were friendly and hard working. I wish there were more electrical outlets in the room, I only found 2 working outlets.

The English speaking staff member was helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The provided breakfast in the morning was very good. Hot food in a seated dining area. It's very close to the train station. My only complaint is there was only 1 pillow provided per person, and the pillows were rather thin. I didn't ask for an additional though because it was late at night.

I rarely write something bad about hotels.. The location of hotel is GREAT, staff was great and hotel even provides free breakfast. But, the A/C in the room was noisy even when it was on standby and you couldnt turn it of and the A/C was really dirty. The shower head was broken, watter was going everywhere. The toilet didnt really work 100%. Overall for 1 night was ok, to stay more in a room like this? Think not

Hotel was located just a few mins walk from the Tobu-Nikko train station, so it’s a great 1-night transit hotel option. Room, though small (but as to be expected for Japan) was clean and well-maintained. The toilet is rather tiny. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus.

It was on a back street with very poorly maintained sidewalks that were dangerous at night, obviously not the fault of the hotel. On the other side of the coin, the hotel provided a very nice breakfast.

The room layout was better than others for the same room size type. We left a phone behind and the staff helped to keep for us. The place is close to many footy places and nearby supermarket, has parking for guests.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is good and convenient. Room is small, not easy to move around in the room.

Good location (2 blocks from the train station, 2 blocks off the Main Street). Helpful front desk, free parking across the street. Breakfast is a little basic (miso soup, curry, hard boiled egg, toast and a veggie dish and natto), but it does the job. There’s a bus that runs along the Main Street to the Nikko temples, or you can walk ~20 minutes along the Main Street.

Basic but comfortable. Had everything one needs. Good value for money.

We looked that the property was just a short walk from the main train station, and also very close to a supermarket. Most of the main attractions in the area (river, national park, shrines etc) are also withing walking distance, with plenty of restaurants and cafes lining the main street. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of vegetarian options for my husband. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for our entire 4 week holiday around South Korea and Japan.

Good place to stay, just 2-3 from nikko station, view from the window is like painting! Free breakfast(curry rice) good fascilities

Location 4 mins walk to the tohu station. Room is comfortable and clean. There is a parking right across the hotel, not sure why the description says no parking. available. Strongly recommend

Overall, I had a good stay. It's very close to the station, the staff were friendly and there were a couple of vegetarian options at breakfast. The room was also clean and well presented. The only problem is the air conditioner. It is so loud even when switched off. It makes a low humming sound every 15 minutes that sounds like a vibrating phone pressed to the wall followed by a hissing sound that can last for a few minutes. It also turned itself on automatically in the morning. They are aware of it but it doesn't seem fixable without redoing all of the air conditioning, so definitely bring some ear plugs!

Great location and very nice and quiet room.

simple but nice very clean and smoke free rooms

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The beds are a little stiff but that’s typical for Japan. Easy walking distance to plenty of cafes and restaurants. They had a good breakfast selection that was free. Very happy with the service.

The breakfast was really good. Although I am a Muslim but still I could find a lot of things to eat in the breakfast.

Pretty good hotel. The building is pretty old and I'm not the biggest fan of having the sink are inside the toilet and shower are, but overall still very clean.

Very good location and staffs were accommodating.

Convenient as it is near the station but the room was very small.

Very convenient for walking to Tobu-Nikko train station and the bus stop serving the Nikko and Chuzenji Lake areas. Also 2 blocks away from a grocery store. Hotel was quiet and well maintained. Bed was a little bit too stiff for my tastes though.

Located near of the station and received as mentioned the top floor room.

Very small room, hard bed. Nice staff and decent breakfast. Very convenient location near the buses terminal

Simple but comfortable and with a very good location. Close to the bus station, easy to take the explore the city. Two comments: 1- the curtains could be more dark and sometimes you can hear your next door neighbours.

The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean (though very small and basic), and the air conditioner was nice. However, this was the worst night's sleep I have ever gotten. The mattress was so hard and uncomfortable (and I usually prefer a firmer mattress) that I had to sleep on the top comforter. The pillows were uncomfortable as well, and I woke up extremely sore. For that reason, I would not book this hotel again.

Great area right near a supermarket and high street. Even during covid they managed that and gave us all bento so we didn’t have to sit with others. Lovely tv, great view of nikko in all rooms (we have stayed here before). Great bed and tv Also drinks machine with booze.

The hotel is conveniently close to the station and it wasn’t hard to find. However, when I got to the room, it wasn’t properly cleaned.

Good location a short walk from the train station. New hotel with very small room and very small but efficient bathroom. First hotel I’ve ever stayed in that was finished in plywood including a plywood headboard which was a bit odd. Buffet breakfast was included but was mediocre at best. Overall the hotel was well kept and very clean

If the pillow thicker, it would be perfect. Overall excellent

new, clean close to transport hubs. convenient to shopping.

Very close to the JR station and supermarket is just around the corner. Room comes with a complimentary breakfast which was really yummy and good quality, hotel’s facilities could use some updates but for a budget option in Nikko I’m very happy with my stays.

Parking was available. Breakfast included made it a good value. Small no-frills yet adequate and walkable to everything we came to enjoy

The property is well located walking distance to bus and train stations. The property is reasonably new and is kept spotless and is quite. To say the room and ensuite bathroom is small is an under statement. With the Queensized bed jammed in the corner and against the wall there is little room left to move. Guess the price compared to other properties in the area it was OK.

Fantastic location & everything is a short walk.

Fantastic complementary breakfast, something for everyone. Great central position, 2 minutes from busses and supermarket

Close to train station & supermarket Building relatively new

Breakfast was really good

Excellent location. Terrible Bed and pillows. Good breakfast

Enjoyed our stay very much. Great breakfast! Staff lovely.
