Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Shuttle service is zeer handig wanneer je midden van de nacht op je bestemming aankomt. Zeer attent en vriendelijk personeel. Ruime kamer en alles volgens wens. Rustige ligging Dringen niets op van andere diensten of services, een gewoonte van vele Sri Lankanen. Uitgebreid en ruim ontbijt, te kiezen uit English breakfast of Sri Lanka versie
Enkel wat details dus te verwaarlozen. Negombo als stad is op zich niet zo bijzonder maar wel de beste plek om aan je reis te beginnen.

They even let us have breakfast an hour earlier than they usually open to accommodate for our flight. the free transfer to airport took around 30 minutes

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026We arrived at the Belmont with a heavy heart as we had finally reached the end of our amazing Sri Lankan journey and the Belmont was the ideal choice for that journey to end at. The hotel was lovely, a clean and air conditioned room with high ceilings and a great bathroom/shower. It location was also excellent, a short 30 min ride to the airport and walking distance to numerous shops and restuarants. The hotel also has a small pool for cooling down in and a rooftop dining is also a plus. I would highly recommend the Belmont - its is exactly as its name suggest - a boutique hotel with a lovely vibe and a great spot to stay before saying goodbye to Sri Lanka

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026I had a very nice stay at this hotel, especially as a solo female traveller. The room and hotel were lovely, and the perfect place to stay before my early morning flight. I had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, and my server Amalia was particularly lovely and made it a great experience. His recommendation for the prawns was perfect for my last meal in Sri Lanka. The free airport drop off was also great and relieved me of any early morning stress.

I had dinner at the hotel and my first choice was unavailable.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Amazing little place to stay! Arranging airport shuttle to pick us up from the airport at 11pm was very easy and efficient. Spacious clean room with excellent bed and shower. Breakfast was wonderful too, particularly loved the freshly squeezed fruit juice. Pool looked lovely although we didn't have time for a dip. Almost wish we'd had a proper stay not just a quick overnight one.

Bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and we both woke with sore backs. Hotel isn’t in as good a location as many others in the area. Despite being off the main strip, it was quite loud at night which interrupted our sleep.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026Het was een erg prettig verblijf. Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van de shuttle service en dit verliep erg goed. Wij zijn hier onze reis gestart en ge-eindigt. We zijn door Yoga super goed geholpen en geadviseerd om onze reis wat aan te passen door het weer. Bedankt hiervoor Yoga ook voor jou gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid. We keken ernaar uit om jou weer te zien nadat we de reis afsloten bij Belmont. Ook zijn wij door Amila super goed geholpen deze dagen en heeft hij veel verteld over Sri lanka. Het hotel was voor ons een prima start en afsluiter! Als we terug komen zouden we zeker weer voor Belmont kiezen.

The staff was so helpful in advising me on when to arrive at the airport and the free shuttle was punctual and safe. Having the ability to eat at the hotel restaurant the night before was very convenient, but as a bonus it was also super delicious!

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Wunderschönes kleineres Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, neuwertig, sehr komfortabel und sehr sauber. Schöner Pool, auch sehr sauber. Der Strand ist sehr nah zu Fuß, ebenfalls viele Restaurants etc.. Für mich war es ein sehr schöner Abschluss meiner Sri Lanka Reise, ich wünschte ich hätte mehr als nur einen Tag gehabt. Der Flughafen Shuttle zum Hotel lief sehr zuverlässig

Reviewed May 30, 2026Quietness and the convenience to relax after arriving from a long trip. From the lovely driver who picked us from the airport, reception staff Sahindu and Prince to restaurant employees Ashoka ( I think) was very helpful and showed Sri Lankan hospitality.
Room temperature was a difficult to control as it stayed warm and made it slightly uncomfortable.

Wir sind früh am Morgen gelandet und waren bereits um 10 Uhr im Hotel. Das Hotel war eigentlich leer, trotzdem sagte uns das Personal, dass wir extra zahlen müssen, wenn wir sofort ins Zimmer möchten, da der Check-in erst ab 14 Uhr möglich sei. Das fanden wir wirklich lächerlich und sehr dreist. Aus diesem Grund würden wir dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal besuchen.

Reviewed May 20, 2026Well-located hotel, competitively priced, which had all the facilities we needed for our 2-day stay. Staff were great and the food at the restaurants was tasty and well-priced. The one feature we enjoyed the most was the shuttle service to the hotel which picked us up at the airport in the early hours of the morning. After long flights, it was greatly appreciated. We would happily stay here again.

The gym is about a 10 min walk, I thought it was in the property.

Das Frühstück war super fein und umfangreich. Transfer zum / von Flughafen ist inklusive. Das Personal ist durchweg super nett und professionell, namentlich wurden wir von Amila und Ashoka sehr gut betreut.
