Sehr freundliches Personal und ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Lage zur Innenstadt mit kurzem Weg. E-Ladestation ca250 Meter entfernt.

Sehr Zentral. Supermärkte in der Nähe. Ein schöner Park genau gegenüber
Gar nichts
Breakfast
The room decoration is a little old, maybe from the 80's.
Sehr nettes Personal
Sehr nettes Personal, rundum alles sehr schön.
Very big room
Nichts
alles in allem gut
Frühstückszeiten sind leider zu kurz von (8-9.30 Uhr )
Udobni kreveti i dobar doručak.

Large room. Friendly staff. Although the restaurant is closed on Saturday evening, they prepared a nice grill dish (there was a private function).
Great location and fantastic very helpful staff
Rooms are nice and Clean. Love the german hotels that keep up the standards. Breakfast was liitle to Continental for me. Nice bar with lots of good brands on a stand reachable for guests. Cool approach. Will return
I have stayed at the Hotel Am Weiher many times, and during all seasons of the year and always receive the warmest of welcomes. Each room is a of a very generous size, exceptionally clean and has everything you need for a good nights sleep. It is a family run hotel, and you can certainly feel the special touch and experience that this brings to each and every stay. For the summer months, there is a quaint outside dining area for a relaxing evening, with a good choice of dark or light beers. The Chef is very friendly and ingredients permitting will put a meal together to your request, or add a little something to your A' La Carte choice to make it just as you like, For all guests, especially business users, the internet signal is good and strong throughout the hotel. Also there are 100 or more 'free' parking spaces available within a 2 minute walk of the hotel, which never struggle for availability. Within 5 minutes walk across the square you can be in central Erkelenz with a choice of cafe's, shops and simple mini marts for the things you forgot to pack. It is the perfect choice for a business or leisure stay in Erkelenz.
We were working on a temporary job in an industrial park on the south end of this small town. Our clients got us rooms at this nice hotel and I really don't know what they paid for the rooms, so I cannot comment on the price. I can assure you that the hotel is run by some very nice women who made our stay very comfortable. The hotel is very quiet. I never found a way to regulate the temperature in the room, however, we were there in May and the outside temp was pleasant and I just cracked open the door and let the fresh air in all night. Compared to an average U.S. hotel, the showers in the bathroom are very strange. I and my friends had an open floor with a shower curtain. This made taking a shower messy as the whole floor of the bathroom got wet. Sometimes, European designs are just not perfect. Also, they do not provide shampoo, just a body wash dispenser on the wall. Since I have very little hair, this was not a problem! If you are from the U.S., bring wall power adapters. You can get them very cheap from e-bay or Amazon. Bring three or four of them as you would be surprised how many things you generally plug in. Look for "schuko to edison" adapters, they can be as cheap as $2 or $3. Most all devices these days will work with 120 and 240 volt power, just check your device to make sure. However. be warned, U.S. power strips will not work and will burn up quickly. If you need a power strip, buy it in the country. There is a big Home Depot type store there in Erkelenz called "OBI" and they have everything hardware. Like earlier reviews mention, downtown Erkelenz is a very short walk. There are many restaurants and a couple of pubs in town. We ate one night at a large Greek restaurant and had a great time. Also, across the street and down a hundred yards is a small, fast food place called "Side Pizza". They have great Gyros and pizza, plus a large menu of many German and Turkish foods. This was our default place to eat after work each day. Surprisingly, we never got tired of eating there. We flew into Dusseldorf airport and rented a van. The parking for this hotel is across the street in a public (free) parking lot. In the morning and during the day, it can be full. But after 5:00pm, the lot mostly cleared out and parking was never a problem for us. The hotel is on the edge of a great little duck-pond-park. It is hidden from the road and you would never know it was there unless you were in an exploring mood. Very serene and natural, i enjoyed walking around it several times. Breakfast is included with the hotel room. It is a very nice breakfast with both German and American choices. Eggs, fruit, cheeses, bread, even cereal... plus, at the bar they will gladly make coffee for you as custom and good as Starbucks would. No extra charge for this service... just smiling and attentive staff. The hotel is VERY secure. There is a outside and inside secured door. I was a week into my stay when I realized that the room door do not automatically lock when you shut them! I just assumed that they did, but I figured out that you had to lock your door with the key from the inside. Not that it ever mattered, this hotel was like staying in your grandmother's home. The rooms were cleaned daily and were very clean indeed. As I mentioned, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have free WiFi, you just have to get the code from the front desk. All in all, we had a very good experience here.
The company I work for chose this hotel for our 4 day training course. The rooms were OK and kept exceptionally clean by the cleaners, I heard from a colleague that the restaurant was really good and it seemed full most nights, I saw one guy get turned away because of table space. You are very close to town where you will find a quiet but ever so friendly atmosphere, we were your typical british oil rig workers always looking of a bar (and generally always finding one, wherever we are in the world) and here we felt welcome in all bars and restaurants we went too. A very nice experience!
Stayed 2nd week in January. Took brew kit for use, thanks to previous posts. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, nice quiet area of Erkelenz. Found a couple of nice bar / restaurants in the town centre where they are more than willing to translate the menu. The restaurant at the hotel was closed the week I was there, but breakfast was still on, which was standard continental breakfast and good. All in all a good standard hotel
This Hotel is litrally a minutes walk from the town centre, rightnext to a park gardens. The staff here are very helpful and will help you translate the restaurant menu. The room i stayed in was very bright and airy, the usual furniture comfertable chair to relax and read, chair and desk, wardrobe very comfertable double bed my only criticism with the bed was that there was only a single quilt on it. There was no Coffee or tea making facilities in the room. The window of the room overlooked the park gardens and when opened no noise poloution. the bathroom was a large wet room shower, toilet large mirror with lights for shaving also an hairdryer shower gel and hand soap were provided. The room and bathrooom very goood and exceptionaly clean. I ate in the hotels restaurant 2 nights great food at good prices the menu is in German but the staff are more than helpful and will translate. They will also ask the Chef for something that is not on the menu as they did for myself.
An excellent small hotel beside a lake. Clean and silent. Restaurant is a well prepared german one. Don't forget to order a welldone steak.
