My only complaint was during the breakfast time even tho all tables have announcements to not have speakers on or loud volume..several people were using their devices on speaker and video calls and non of the workers approached them to remind them that it wasn’t allowed ..I think business have the right to callout someone in those type of situations for the comfort of everyone there otherwise everything was perfect.

Se fue la luz en múltiples ocasiones durante la noche y hacía calor y me parece algo costoso para las amenidades que ofrece. Sería bueno para el hotel dejar muy explícito que no se realizan actividades dentro de hotel, que toca buscarlas fuera y los precios que ofrecen por las actividades son altos para el mercado.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Mi è piaciuto tantissimo il design e gli arredi della camera. Si dorme bene e la piscina è aperta 24/24. Qualche zanzara. Si può avere la colazione in camera
Non mi è piaciuto per niente il trattamento che ho ricevuto dalla ragazza alla reception. Ogni richiesta viene fatta pesare, mi ha negato persino della semplice frutta dopo le 9 di sera perché “la cucina è chiusa, c’è solo il bar” quindi la frutta di decorazione si può dare. Il servizio di lavanderia costa 25 dollari. La struttura è lontana da tutto e non hanno nemmeno il numero di un motoconcho.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026De surflodge is de meest fantastische plek die we bezochten in DR. De kamer was mooi ingericht, met veel licht en voldoende faciliteiten om te koken. De workouts en yoga is zeker een aanrader, het personeel was vriendelijk en het ontbijt heerlijk. Het restaurant is wat prijzig, maar de kwaliteit is dan ook uitmuntend.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Wir haben 4 Nächte gebucht und haben den Aufenthalt vor Ort verlängert. Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb der Ortschaft, wodurch man seine Ruhe hat. Die Mitarbeiter waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein grosses Lob geht an den Koch oder die Köchin! Es gibt eine grosse Auswahl beim Frühstück. Wir fanden die Portionen sehr grosszügig.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026El sitio es espectacular, la atención es maravilloso y la relación calidad precio es muy buena, un sitio 100% recomendado. Tener en cuenta que aunque tiene cerca la playa el encuentro, hay mucho arrecife cerca a la orilla por ende mucho erizo, se debe usar zapatos de agua.

Además con el detalle de tener flotadores para los niños y algún juego de mesa. El desayuno es delicioso, exquisito y elaborado. Esta ubicado a 15min de Cabarete y 12min de Sosua

Reviewed May 31, 2026Beautiful place. Not a beach to enjoy with family and small kids. The ocean in front of the complex is more suitable for surf and kite surfing. But still a beautiful place. The hotel has an amazing structure. Restaurant, pool, a surf school in front. The room is very well distributed, small without compromising. Has an aircon and small refrigerator. Bathroom is very funcional and worked perfectly also. They offer a delicious breakfast also. Stall was very attentive and welcoming!!! I recommend taking clases with Parallel Surf. Very professional attention you will get. They offer classes and surf board rentals also.

The only thing was the kids school would come into the pool and disrupt our quiet time at the pool. Not a huge deal at all!

Reviewed May 12, 2026Esta situado entre cabarete y Sosúa a 10 min en moto a ambos lados . No hay absolutamente nada alrededor , sitio muy tranquilo y a 3 min andando de la playa surfera . El personal es muy agradable .
No funciona el wifi, el último día me dieron un pequeño Roster para solucionarlo pero no es normal que a día de hoy un hotel no funcione el wifi y además no ha teléfono en las habitaciones para llamar a recepción , tienes que desplazarte hasta la entrada si necesitas algo . En el techo hay 2 clarabollas por donde entra luz desde las 6 am y no te permite dormir , algo inexplicable .

La playa parecía estar más cerca, el hotel queda sobre una calle. Hay que caminar unas 3/4 cuadras hasta el mar. Parecía ser un complejo todo unido y estaba por partes. Había mucho ruido por la mañana había un colegio / escuela al lado.

Towel bar was broken, still should add some hooks for extra towels. Shower made a mess when in use as it only points to one direction, ideally it should be easily accommodated to face down as the shower area is very open with only a curtain . Also they advertise having a school of surf and skate surf , yoga etc but it doesn’t work during the weekends. It seems to be something for the locals or people staying more than the weekend.

Les chambres supérieure qui sont situées derrière la piscine sont confortables ; la literie est excellente, choix d’oreillers, produits d’hygiène offerts et eau minérale à volonté. Le matin, vous assistez aux cours de natation de l’école maternelle adjacente à l’hôtel. Vous avez un très bon choix de petits déjeuners copieux et excellents. Je vous conseille également le restaurant le soir si vous n’avez pas envie de bouger. En bref : une atmosphère reposante et sympathique dans un environnement extrêmement calme et chill. Vous avez l’école de surf Parallel à côté ; professionnel et sympathique, ainsi que des cours de fitness deux fois par semaine (en français parfois).

I was not aware if laundry service was on-site and misquotes were not able to be kept out as small ones still came through screens. Finally it was great they had water for drinking but it was a slight inconvenience to use the garbage can for toilet paper.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026מקום נחמד מלון ענק, חשוב מאוד לראות איפה בוחרים את החדר כי יש המון הליכה כדי להגיע לקבלה/ יציאת המלון במידה ובוחרים בבונגלו, המיקום של המלון לא קרוב למרכז האי וחייב לקחת מונית כל פעם שרוצים לצאת מהמלון, אבל הוא קרוב מאוד לאיזורי גלישה. המחירים של המוניות במלון יקרים יותר מהמוניות שאפשר להזמין מבחוץ, הקבלת פנים במלון הייתה קצת מוזרה ללא הסברים איך מתנהלים ומגעים ממקום למקום וקצת להתמצא במלון, ארוחת הבוקר מגיעה רק מנה עיקרית קפה וכוס שתיה קלה ללא אפשרות בחירה של מה לשתות, אם רוצים שתיה אחרת צריך לשלם, אם רוצים חמאה צריך לשלם, אם רוצים עוד קצת לחם כי מגיע מעט מאוד אז צריך לשלם ממש הזוי.! בנוסף קפוצ׳ינו לא כלול בארוחת הבוקר, אפילו שהארוחת בוקר כלולה במחיר זה לא אומר שהיא בחינם ויש דברים מינימליים שצריכים להיות כלולים זה מאוד מעצבן. יש להם בעיה עם השירות חדרים לוקח להם כמה שעות להגיע אם בכלל. השירות חדרים לא יסודי ולא מנקים בצורה יסודית את החדר ואת המרפסת בכלל לא ניקו. האינטרנט האלחוטי עובד בצורה לא טובה ויש המון ניתוקים, באופן כללי היו לא מעט הפסקות חשמל המיטה בחדר מאוד לא נוחה וקשה מאוד, בחדר חסר פרטיות עם הרבה וילונות לא אטומים בחדר שנמצא על מעבר של אנשים. השירות במלון הוא טוב ונעים אנשים תמיד שמחים לעזור..!

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im El Encuentro Surf Lodge und haben unsere Zeit dort wirklich genossen. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und sehr gepflegt, sodass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal: Angelo und Carlos waren ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit – man merkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird.
Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt für uns persönlich war der Poolbereich. Da wir ohne Kinder gereist sind, war es teilweise etwas schwierig, den Pool zu nutzen, da sich viele Kinder dort aufgehalten haben und häufig Spielzeug im Wasser war. Dadurch war die Atmosphäre für uns nicht immer ganz so entspannt, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten.

Nutzung der Anlage sogar mit kostenlosem Depot für das Gepäck bis Abreise am Abend . It’s great that the hotel offers complementary breakfast and options to pick from, but I was super disappointed to see tres golpes absent from the breakfast menu— or any dominican breakfast staples. I appreciated that there were one or two dominican options on the dinner menu, but I wish the hotel and restaurant showed much more dominican food and culture. It’s something to be proud of not hide.

No shampoo and/or shower gel in the bathroom. Reception staff not very friendly. Resort vibe hotel. Breakfast was below average in my opinion.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026Welcoming staff, rooms were wonderful. If you can splurge get your self one of the suites. The location is sequestered from the city, but I personally like that. The beach is nice gravel walk away, great for surfers. I am not a surfer but I love the location regardless.
Its a short drive from the city, if you are looking for things outside of hotel and beach area.
