Beautiful pool and resort facilities with spectacular views throughout! Food was amazing, and loved the freshness and variety of the breakfast buffet. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean - with very effective air conditioning for the warmer months. Loved every second of our stay here and can't wait to come back for longer next time!

One of our rooms had an amazing view while the other was less impressive, but overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel!

A wonderful place where you can truly relax and unwind. The resort was peaceful, and spotlessly clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind. The breakfast was excellent. The whole place felt like a peaceful oasis, we enjoyed every moment of our stay.

To raczej sugestie dla hotelu niż nasz dyskomfort ale warto o tym napisać. 1. Skalista plaża przy hotelu jest wspaniała ale wymagająca. Jest fala zwłaszcza od jachtów i łódek które nieraz podpływają bardzo blisko i bardzo szybko robiąc trudną w pływaniu falę. Dodatkowo osoby pływające nie są widoczne a łodzie pływają naprawdę szybko. Jeśli była by możliwość wydzielić bojami strefę kąpieliska żeby nie mogli podpływać za blisko i za szybko była by to znaczna poprawa bezpieczeństwa tego miejsca. 2. Hotel jest przyjazny zwierzętom ale ma restrykcyjne ograniczenia co do wagi zwierzaka ( do 10 kg ) i tylko jednego zwierzęcia w pokoju. Chcielibyśmy móc przyjechać na dłużej także z naszą czworołapą częścią rodziny, ale te restrykcje to wykluczają. Prosimy o rozważenie bardziej elastycznego indywidualnego podejścia w tym zakresie nawet za cenę dodatkowej kaucji w odpowiedniej formie zakwaterowania.

Pure bliss - quiet, friendly, calm oasis

The staff were so helpful, particularly Yannis who was so kind driving us around plus our maid Sylvana who was v good at her job and so lovely - and Mary on reception was kind too. Great breakfasts and our rooms were amazing and unexpected.

We ordered pistachio ice cream at dinner and it was totally artificial - bright green and didn't even taste of the nut....i think you need to have more natural ice creams - we sent it back. The lady serving wanted us to exchange for another flavour but we were very put off by his strange ice cream. Also my boys ordered lamb burgers for dinner but they were sure it was beef and not lamb.

Location was very nice. All very comfortable, easy. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was bigger than expected - way more people than we thought- which meant a very crowded small gym, also there was no way to get a spot by the pool because people just go early to leave their things to save the spaces, which was generally a little frustrating.

Lovely resort with large rooms and beautiful setting overlooking water. Breakfast was amazing with so many options to choose from.

Pool was crowded with day trippers day we arrived and toilet near pool was not clean and there was a distinct sewerage smell around the toilet.

Good location. Nice and quiet. Comfortable sunbeds. Excellent food in the evening.

Breakfast was rather limited, buffet style. Quite hilly so not good for people with mobility difficulties.

Emelisse is one of the best Nature & relaxation resorts I've ever been and i've had my share. Everything is a matter of expectations, if you expect to find the most luxurious resort or michelin restaurants then it's not for you. The concept of the resort is what it says, nature and in this they exceed expectations. It is built carefully in a high spot overlooking the beach of Eblisi and with unobstructed views of Ithaki and Lefkada. Everywhere you stroll in the resort you feel nature hugging you with delicate touches of elegance. To top it up, all staff and the owners (they are extremely active and attentive) are making you feel like home! You see them everywhere you need them and not more, providing before you ask everything you need. Upon arrival they send a buggy to bring you to the main building and in general they send buggies to facilitate your moving around, to the beach and within the resort, in order to make your life easier. They notice every little detail and are always attentive to your needs. They are making it a personalized experience in a resort, not in a concierge style but in a family style with the same result but different feeling, much better. Regarding food, it was amazing i have no words to describe it. The grandmother is cooking and overlooking all served breakfast in an amazing way. Freshly squeezed orange juice, custom ordered omelette and coffee (no extra charge) and a buffet covering all possible tastes and needs for breakfast. All these could be found in a top luxury resort, the home feeling can't and this is what makes the real difference. Our first morning they saw we liked a spin of scrambled eggs called kagiana which they have made for that day. Since then, both the mother and the grandmother where asking us if we want this in order to make it for us. It brought memories of waking up in my house as a child and my own mother asking me what i want for breakfast!

If they make some small delicate changes it will be world class as a nature resort, but in all aspects nothing really brought a feeling of discomfort or anything to distract us from having a total fantastic time there. I totally get why they have loyal and recurring customers for many years!

Beautiful peaceful location walking distance to picture perfect town and beach. As much or as little to do as you like. We enjoyed the amazing pool, tennis, gym, free yoga, my son loved the billiards table, open air cinema and jumping off the rocks into the amazing sea. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough. Housekeeping was impeccable and food very high quality and natural. The boat trip was the best I’ve ever been on and the locations we visited paradise.

Prachtige locatie met een ongekend en ongelofelijk mooi uitzicht. Erg vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Smaakvolle inrichting en goede kwaliteit van het ontbijt. Ook de shuttlebus naar Fiskardo haven was erg prettig in het gebruik.

De erg beperkte parkeerfaciliteiten passen echt niet bij een locatie als deze. Hier is echt ruimte voor verbetering. Maak een ondergrondse parkeergarage of regel valetparking voor de gasten. Het is fijn dat je bij de toegangspoort een shuttle-golfkar kan oproepen maar niet als je eerst een kwartier rondjes moet rijden om je auto kwijt te raken!

House keeping was not amazing! Floors not cleaned properly and ice buckets and dishes left in our room for days, had to put on the front porch to be taken.

Setting was amazing, view fantastic and we enjoyed the activities that were available. The breakfast was great with delicious home-cooked food. Cakes were out of this world. Love the deck chairs on the rocks. A truly peaceful area to read but also fun for jumping into the water. Mary the guest relations manager made it for us.

The air-conditioning in the gym needs improving. Whilst some of the staff were amazing, others needed training. Rooms need updating, in particular the bathrooms and the bedroom furniture / decor could be modernised.

Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und harmonisch in die Natur eingebettet. Es gibt drei schöne Pools, darunter einen Adults-only-Pool, sowie einen traumhaften privaten Felsstrand mit kristallklarem Wasser, Liegen und direktem Zugang über eine Leiter. Die Lage ist hervorragend: Fiskardo ist in weniger als zehn Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Personal war grösstenteils sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war lecker und vielseitig, mit gutem Kaffee, Früchten, Gemüse, Eierspeisen und Kuchen. Auch das Votsalo-Restaurant beim Pool war ausgezeichnet, mit fairen Preisen und besonders freundlichem Service. Der Check-in mit Welcome Drink und Erfrischungstuch war sehr angenehm. Wir erhielten zudem ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit direktem Zugang zum Gemeinschaftspool. Die Matratze war bequem, die Klimaanlage leise und zuverlässig und die Sauberkeit war sehr gut. Auch der Shuttle-Service zum Parkplatz, Strand und nach Fiskardo ist praktisch.

Das Zimmer war sauber, wirkte aber eher dunkel und sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen. Auch das Badezimmer könnte teilweise erneuert werden; insbesondere die Duschbrause funktionierte nicht mehr richtig. Bei einem Preis von über 400 Euro pro Nacht war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für uns deshalb nicht vollständig gegeben. Der Frühstücksbereich war teilweise eng. Besonders unangenehm war, dass andere Gäste direkt beim Frühstück rauchten. Die Kommunikation war etwas unübersichtlich, da nicht klar war, ob man Booking.com, E-Mail oder WhatsApp nutzen sollte. Antworten dauerten teilweise lange. Sehr enttäuschend war unsere Paarmassage im Spa. Die auf den Formularen ausdrücklich angegebenen Einschränkungen wurden bei uns beiden ignoriert. Während der Behandlung wurde nicht nach Druck oder Wohlbefinden gefragt, und der gesamte Ablauf wirkte unprofessionell. Die Massage wurde nach unserer Beschwerde zwar nicht verrechnet, beim Check-out hätten wir uns jedoch mehr Interesse an unserem konkreten Erlebnis gewünscht.

The breakfast had a huge selection and great service, and we were able to enjoy it on the terrace with a beautiful view of the sea.

The breakfast was a real highlight. Fresh and abundant, with a mix of fruits, salads and dairy, plus eggs and other hot items and the all-important pancakes for the kids. Staff were friendly and helpful. The fresh orange juice - delicious! A lot of rooms have their own pools, plus an adult only pool, so we always got loungers by the main pool. The hotel is relaxed and people generally come and go so it doesn't feel claustrophobic like some resorts can.

We were only there for a short stay so some of the communication could be improved to ensure you get the most from a visit. Do ask before you arrive if there are any special nights (there was a Greek night on the day we arrived that we didn't know about) and clarify any activities that you'd like to do. I turned up for yoga on Sunday and it wasn't on and the Monday was also cancelled. We requested rooms near each other but they were not able to accommodate this request. We then discovered the room next to our children had been booked last minute by a couple staying the exact same nights as us. I'd recommend speaking to the hotel direct to avoid disappointment.

This is exactly what it says relax recouperate and rejuvenate! We loved everything about Emelisse the location is amazing with views to die for The team that work there are so helpful the food is good fresh healthy and delicious Our only issue was when we checked in despite booking full sea view they gave us the room I had read on reviews - small with side patio shared with the room next door and right on the edge of the resort. I had checked with reservations before and they had assured us we had sea view - disappointing but the lovely lady that checked us in quickly changed our room for one far more spacious in a lovely location with a great view. Not sure why when I had communicated beforehand this had happened?!

The pool area is really nice! The stone beach is wonderful! The breakfast was good—not too much, not too little, and of good quality. Staffs are friendly and helpful! Billiard table is nice for us for some family activities.

In our room ; garden view was a bit too loud from all air conditioning machines. And our room was abit humid as it is on the ground floor so the wind could not flow so well.

our stay was absolutely amazung the hotel is beautiful , spotless and located in a perfect setting . the staff is professional , warm and making us fell truly welcome . we couldnt have asked for a better experience .

The property is incredibly located. Up on a hill with stunning views over the coast, access to nearby beach and steps down to sea. 2 mins from Fiskardo. It was Perfect.

The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate and very comfy for the price. Felt like the hotel was great value for money when you compare to other hotels during peak season in Greece.

This hotel makes you feel it’s just you staying there. The nature of the rooms being scattered across the estate rather than all in one big hotel complex is truly special. And the view from your room is incredible. Such beautiful landscape and nature alongside a beautiful sea and sky. Added to the great facilities including two lovely pools and a fantastic restaurant, this place is very special.

Minor gripes in the grand scheme of things but wifi could be better, and could someone cut back the shrubs that line the walking route to Fiskardo please! It’s a nice little walk and handy when shuttle bus is so popular but very overgrown.

Great location, very pretty and potentially lovely hotel!

The staff need training they are not particularly friendly they need to learn how to smile. Everyone is on holiday and they make everything seem an effort! We have stayed in family run hotels in Greece before Like Eagles Palace in Halkidiki and it’s fabulous, this hotel doesn’t feel anything like that! Apart from service the rooms are small with bulky furniture bit odd and feels unnecessarily overcrowded!

The views are lovely. The pool areas are excellent. Its a very attractive hotel. Staff are very helpful. Views at breakfast are stunning. Home made cakes at breakfast are very good. The hotel layout is nice. Rooms are attractive. My partial seaview room had very good seaviews.

Its a little pricey and too far out of centre to walk there in the heat. The courtesy bus to Fiskardo may not be running at the time one may like

I really enjoyed the peaceful, quiet, and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were warm and friendly, making me feel comfortable throughout my stay. I also loved how the hotel was surrounded by nature, creating a relaxing environment that was perfect for unwinding and escaping the stress of everyday life. It was an ideal place to rest, recharge, and enjoy the natural beauty around me. And above all, the homemade kaygana prepared by the host lady was absolutely unforgettable—it tasted amazing!

Great location, really unique stay. People were great, and fantastic balance of amenities and nature. Not overly touristy- I will return !

Amazing location on a headland overlooking the Ionian Sea with stunning views of Lefkada. Great views from the rooms, restaurants and communal areas generated a feeling of peace and serenity. 3 great beach’s a short walk from the hotel. Fabulous staff, who are all super friendly and helpful.

The food at the resort restaurant isn’t the best, but the resort offers a free shuttle into town where there are plenty of restaurants. There are also a couple restaurants up the road, within walking distance.

We liked everything about this hotel. Our room was a mainsonette with two bedrooms, outside space, a shared pool, a living room area and a kitchenette. It was clean, nicely furnished and spacious. Breakfast was excellent - a great location with a fantastic view, plenty of friendly staff, lots of food and drink options. The lunchtime and evening restaurant by the pool was excellent - and all the team (especially Christina) were wonderful. The food and drink were great too. The pool area is clean, a nice size with plenty of sunbeds, and it was easy to get food or drink if you needed it. And the view - it's exceptional.

We didn't think there was enough fresh fruit at breakfast, specifically melon, so we mentioned this. The next day, and all subsequent days, there was fresh melon at breakfast - a fantastic response from the hotel team.

Beautiful property in the best spot - excellent facilities, fantastic view, lovely little beach 5 mins walk, and so easy to get into Fiskardo. We absolutely love it!

Staff were all so friendly and helpful. The setting and scenery is beautiful, would highly recommend.

The location was exceptional and worked across all the generations in our party. the hotel provide a shuttle bus (5 mins) to Fiskardo regularly (or a 10 min walk) there were golf buggies on hand to transport my 84yr old mother to the beach and all over the resort. Unlike many other hotels, they did not take advantage of guests when providing one-off evenings (eg pizza night, greek night) - everything was priced individually and cooked to order vs a huge overpriced buffet. The outdoor screening of movies was lovely. My itchy feet were kept occupied moving from the enormous pool with plenty of beds to the rocks in front of the hotel to swim and snorkel in the beautiful clear water to the beach for a sunset cocktail to Fiskardo for amazing dinners. I can honestly say this is one of the only hotels in the world I've been to that I would definitely return - most of the guests we met had been going for at least 5 years and kept going back. The hotel is totally family run and this shone through. I don't usually write reviews, but the Emmelise deserves one above and beyond. They also upgraded both my mum's room so that she had less stairs and then ours too so we could be close to her for NO extra charge - AMAZING.

I have ONE criticism which is that the boat was not available to book during our stay - this was apparently due to the weather as the route was to the far side of Ithaca where it was more windy - but we would have appreciated some flexibility here to change the route to accommodate the weather which was glorious and like a millpond on the side we were on.

Some of the food at the restaurant was slightly disappointing. However, breakfast was fantastic.

The staff are wonderful and make you feel at home from the second you arrive. It's a family-run resort and that's the feeling you get when you spend even just a few days here. The pool areas and restaurant are beautiful. The proximity to Fiskardo is perfect, allowing you to soak up everything the little fishing village has to offer, but also retreating back to the peace and quiet of the resort. The views of Lefkada from the main pool area are hard to beat!

Some of the fixtures and fittings are a little worn in the rooms, but it's a nature resort, not a glitzy chandelier-and-marble kind of place, so it's nothing that bothers us!

Café da manhã maravilhoso, a localização era perfeita, assim como, o atendimento e a cordialidade dos colaboradores contribuíram para darmos uma nota justa ao Emelisse.

Pra não deixar de apontar uma melhoria, poderiam reavaliar o horário de atendimento aos clientes na piscina, hoje só atendem até as (19hs), e o pôr do sol ocorre às 21hs, achei incoerente. A cama poderia ser mais firme, para quem fica a partir de três diárias perceberá essa necessidade.

Large property but with a small number of rooms and appartments which gives a wonderul feeling of space. The breakfast is heavenly with ample choice for all tastes and a relaxed feel allowing you to sleep in if needed or make an early start. There are deckchairs boted into the rocks down by the sea to get you close to the sea water which is of course an exquisite turquoise colour! Cocktails are well made and its just a short walk down to Fiscardo or to the nearest beach Emplysi. If you like hiking the 3 paths are all wonderful and lead between beaches to cool off. In May the flowers and butterflies were so pretty.

A car will help you explore further afield.

Het ontbijt is geweldig met mooi buiten terras op de verdieping van het hoofdgebouw met uitzicht op zee. We hadden een grote kamer in een vrijstaand huis op de verdieping met balkon en uitzicht over het zwembad op zee. Er is een prachtig zwembad en goed restaurant. Op loopafstand een kleine baai met kiezelstrand lekker om in zee te zwemmen. Fiskardo is een prachtige haven dorpje.

De badkamer is voor een 5sterren hotel onder de maat en verouderd in onze kamer. Deze is aan modernisering toe.

A beautiful escape everyone was very friendly. Great facilities loved the tennis court.

The property and facilities are all exceptional. Room and view. Restaurant and pools all lovely.

My only criticism is that there is too much single use plastic. Water bottles in the rooms, drinking straws and bathroom miniatures, could all be replaced by something more eco friendly!

Incredible views from many parts of hotel. Beautiful site with a very relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Special shout out to Barbara who was fantastic with our young son. The location couldn't be better. Close to Fiskardo and right next to a beautiful beach. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and well furnished.

The location is amazing, it’s clean, and the massages are great.

The staff are short with you, or dismissive for simple things like laundry- not the staff generally in the hotel- the managers. They don’t communicate when things like a main pool is shut but try to sell you things constantly. They messed up our orders for dinner and didn’t properly compensate. The breakfast is average. We went for our honeymoon and the famous Greek hospitality wasn’t there.

Our second stay, room a little tired. The breakfast is very good, staff helpful and friendly. We loved the adults only pool. The only this that spoilt it was the penny pinching attitude to in-room drinks; charging €1 each for tea bags is beyond mean! We went out and bought our own.

The Resort is situated in a fantastic location - near lovely beaches and Fiskardo for dinner and excursions. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained.

The guest services desk staff were among the worst I've ever experienced. Our arrival: Check in was a disaster - leaving us stranded at a locked gate after a long tired day of travel - then leading us to an open road for parking our rental car - when all the materials state there is parking available. Then, for our departure: No opportunity for an extended check out - even while materials state that it is easily granted. The kicker, no apologies. They did not care. Every request made with the desk was received as a bother/burden. With the beautiful location and lovely facilities - hire/train some decent staff and write some honest copy: limited parking and late check out on request, with limited availability.

Location is perfect, 5/10 min walk or quick shuttle into Fiskardo. Highlight for us was the main pool area which has stunning views, good service from staff, very clean and a lovely calm atmosphere. Comfortable sunbeds, lots of choices of areas to relax. Also the cliff side deckchairs and steps into the sea were amazing and being able to dip into the sea like that was a huge highlight. Beautiful resort, gorgeous buildings, views, flowers and greenery everywhere. Very friendly staff for the most part. Breakfast is great with so many options and the home made cakes were especially fantastic. Gym was quite well equipped compared to other 5 stars I’ve visited and the tennis court was fabulous too.

For what we paid and considering it’s 5* we did expect something a little more special. The beds have a stone slab instead of a headboard and I didn’t sleep especially well due to this. The bathroom was basic and the shower leaked onto the floor. In some areas the aesthetic is gorgeous but in others it needs a bit more attention to really bring the interior design up a notch. Eg random photos on the walls in the room which are shabby and don’t look great. Chalk on the walls of the lobby which doesn’t look great. The bedroom was lovely with a beautiful four poster bed so a nicer bathroom really would have bumped everything up a notch to give a more 5* feel. We had no do not disturb sign available at any point and did get visited by housekeeping often, which is good but a bit more privacy would have been appreciated. especially then when the cleaner asked my husband for a tip a few days into the trip … He was then unappreciative at a £60 tip which was bizarre. However these are the finer details and we still overall had a beautiful stay and would return for the amenities , location, friendly staff and overall experience.

This is an amazing family run hotel and quirky. The rooms are small, very dated in their design and dark but always perfectly clean. We would go back at the drop of a hat but see if we can get a modern room

Lage u.nochmals Lage, wenig Leute sehr ruhig super Meer / Wasser Abwechslung Felsen Kies Sand einzigartige Buchten Natur pur. Essen im Hotel wie in Fiskardo von gut bis sehr gut, Preise leicht gehoben "Getränke" Der Hotelpool ein Hit zusätzlich Privatpool. Wir kommen wieder!

Im Umland gibt es immer wieder Müll Hotspots , wie abgestellte Autowracks Bauruinen und diversen Müll. Zeugt von unfähigen Regional Politikern da die Ortstaxe mit € 7.50 p.P. und Tag sehr teuer ist.

There is no such thing

This is not a 5* hotel, far from it. I’m afraid it needs new management to review the hotel from staff to f&b to all the broken and untidy details.

The location and the views are extremely impressive as per the photos and other reviews. Excellent customer service from the staff throughout, I also used the spa, had a lovely facial and massage. The food is good however the restaurant is small and in high season I can see it would be busy/hard to get a table. Breakfast good.

I felt my room decor was a little dated, there was also some terrible photography art work on the wall which looked cheap and doesn’t match the overall aesthetic at all. For a nature resort it is not particularly eco friendly - plastic bottled water in the rooms, plastic straws in use and the toiletries in the bathroom are single use/mini sized. TV in the room very old, also had a DVD player (didn’t see any DVD’s). Would benefit from upgrading to smart TV’s with Netflix/Prime etc. as most places on the islands now have.

מלון מדהים! הגענו כמשפחה והייתה לנו חוויה מדהימה. הכול היה מסודר, נקי ומטופח. הצוות תמיד חייך, היה אדיב ונכון לעזור – וזה הפך את השהות לעוד יותר נעימה. ברצוני לציין במיוחד את קטרינה, אחת מבעלות המלון, שדאגה לי בארוחת הבוקר ונענתה ברצון לכל בקשה. המיקום מושלם – ממש לצד חוף יפיפייה במי טורקיז צלולים. במלון אווירה שקטה ונעימה שמשרה שלווה אמיתית. בנוסף, המלון נמצא קרוב לכפר פיסקרדו, מקום מקסים לטיול ערב נעים ולארוחה באחת מהמסעדות המקומיות. כיף גם לצאת להסתובב וגם להישאר במתקני המלון- הבריכה נמצאת ממש על קו החוף, וישנה גישה נוחה לחוף הפרטי. אני ממליצה בחום על המלון, ובטוחה שעוד אשוב.
