Very central to many things in the city and the bike trails. Able to lock up our bikes in the lobby -even electricity to plug in e bike, nice breakfast and coffee machine.

No A/C. Only fan in the room. During a hot night we turned it on and a cloud of dust filled the room. Öld and uncomfortable bed.

Wir hatten das Vierbettzimmer im Dachgeschoss und waren gerade während der Hitzewelle sehr froh über die vorhandene Klimaanlage. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und die Betten bequem. Das Personal war freundlich und der Service nett und unkompliziert.

Das Hotel hat keinen Fahrstuhl. Mit Gepäck bis ins Dachgeschoss zu kommen, ist daher durchaus anstrengend und man sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Das Frühstück war leider eher mittelmäßig und würden wir nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Außerdem lassen sich die Fenster nicht verdunkeln, was gerade im Sommer aufgrund der frühen Helligkeit störend sein kann. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, wenn man mit den genannten Einschränkungen gut zurechtkommt.

We rented the very large 3 bed apartment in the hotel with large bathroom including both bath and shower, and an adequate kitchen for self-catering. Perfect for a family of 6 with young kids. Very friendly, helpful staff. Brilliant location in central Bacharach. Air-conditioning useful too. We loved it here, thank you!

Un petit hôtel familial, situé en plein centre du village avec des propriétaires très accueillants et sympathiques. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et excellent.

Sa situation parfaite a quelques pas du parking. L’accueil de la personne présente. Madame était vraiment sympa.

L’impression qu’on déménageait un chambre en début de soirée. Heureusement le calme est revenu mais les murs de ma chambre tremblait et le bruit était présent.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. Zentral gelegen, ruhige und saubere Zimmer. Die freundliche Dame am Empfang ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit! Viele gastronomische Möglichkeiten im direkten Umfeld. Ich komme gerne wieder! =)

There is no lift. You have to carry your bag upstairs. But the nice lady at the reception Maria helped me to carry mine.

Großes Zimmer. Freundliches Personal. Klasse Frühstück

Schönes altes historisches Gebäude mit tollen Gastgebern. Sehr zentral! Unsere Zimmer waren mit Balkon und wohl auch zeitnah renoviert worden. Also wirklich schöne Zimmer. Natürlich hat man bei einem so historischen Gebäude in der Regel kein Fahrstuhl und man muss entsprechend, je nach Zimmer Lage sehr steile Treppen erklimmen. Frühstück war angenehm gut bestückt mit ausreichend Auswahl an Brötchen, Wurst, Käse usw. .Der sehr leckere Kaffee sollte noch erwähnt werden.

Extrem enges und kleines Bad. Klimaanlage steht im Treppenhaus. Kein Lift, da es ein altes Haus ist. Das Zimmer wirkt altbacken, aber ordentlich in Schuss

Die Zimmer waren angeboten mit Klimaanlage. Vor Ort stellte sich heraus dass im Flur ein Klimagerät war, alle Türen offen standen und mit Lüftern versucht wurde für ein angenehmes Klima zu sorgen. Funktionierte natürlich nicht mehr wenn man seine Zimmertür verschloss.

Das Zimmer, das ich bekommen habe, hatte einen Balkon. Ventilator war vorhanden

Gentilezza del ragazzo che ci ha accolti. Camera molto grande e comoda. In 7 giorni di viaggio è l'unica camera che abbiamo trovato con un frigorifero in camera, che dato il caldo estremo è stato molto comodo. Posizione perfetta, nel centro di Bacharach e letti comodi.

On one of the hottest days of the summer, my top-floor room had no air conditioning, yet there was an outdoor unit on the balcony. On the one hand, I couldn’t enjoy the cool air from the AC; on the other, I had to put up with the noise and hot air coming from the outdoor unit. I’ve never seen such a ridiculous setup.…..

Clean, spacious, everything we needed at the hotel and in a perfect location for exploring Bacharach and the surrounding area.

Ubicación fabulosa en la calle más céntrica de Bacharach. Alojamiento situado en un edificio típico muy bonito, bien conservado y limpio. Han equipado la zona de paso con un aparato para refrescar el ambiente, además en la habitación había ventilador y una pequeña neverita. La anfitriona fue muy amable y nos ayudó con las maletas. Nuestra habitación era muy espaciosa , el baño también, las camas y almohadas cómodas, espacio de almacenaje suficiente y mesa con sillas en la habitación. La estancia fue muy cómoda

Devido ao calor, o quarto ficou um pouco quente sem ar-condicionado. Depois foi possível conseguir mais ventiladores que ajudaram. Não tinha frigobar.

A good sized room with covered balcony overlooking a beautiful street. Very easy to find and well located. Overnight secure bike parking.

We loved the town of Bacharach. Lovely breakfast! The pizza and gyro place across the street was also great. This was a nice place to stay and had everything we needed. Very spacious.

It was a bit warm in the unit, but we slept with the widow open.

Eine Klimaanlage gibt es nur im Flur, dadurch keine Kühlung in den Zimmern. Die Obergeschosse sind nur über Treppe erreichbar, es gibt keinen Aufzug.

Good location, and parking can be found 3min walk from the hotel outside city gates, though with the possibility to offload right in front of the hotel.

We had a bit of challenge in the beginning as the person in the reception did not speak any English. The room was spacious but the bath room was not too well cleaned.

Great location, fabulous hosts who made us feel extremely welcome. I would go as far as to say the room we had always the cleanest I have ever experienced. Would highly recommend if you are ever in the area. Danke schön 🙂

The location is excellent with a nice little street outside that leads to the Werner Chappelle, Alt Haus, and lots of other beautiful areas. The Post Hof restaurant across the street is great and the small Armenian Cafe Bistro NOY is excellent. The room was well sized and offered a great night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from.

nothing that the guesthouse can control, but parking can be something of a hike since all the parking is outside the old walls of the city. but then again, walking thru the gates is has a certain charm

Fantastic location, 6 min walk from the train station, staff friendly, value for money, breakfast available, comfortable room.

Downside is the steep stairs up to the rooms and there in no aircon in the bedrooms.

Es un hotel viejito. No tiene ascensor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel zur Post in the family suite (top floor). There was ample space for our family of four as well as a clean bathroom and air conditioning. The host was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. The building was also convenient and charming.

The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of everything. We stayed on the top floor room and it was very spacious, clean, and cozy. Perfect for me and my cousins.

The shower curtain was not very good at keeping the water in and would have enjoyed having some shower/hygiene products there.

The location was great, right in the city center on the main street, and the room was clean.

The room I was promised said on booking.com that it had air conditioning included which I specifically chose compared to a cheaper hotel because I visted during a very hot week. There was no AC in the building let alone my room. There was a fan in the closet of my room but i could not plug it in anywhere near the window to circulate the breeze since there were zero outlets on that entire side of the room next to the window and the cord was not long enough from the one outlet by the tv or by the door. The room was also very hot as it was one of the top floors under the roof. There were also some difficulties in communication. I speak English fluently and speak B1 german, but half of the information could not be translated in either language and needed a google translation app from a third langauge from the staff to german or english for me. I saw other guests who only had english and their own native language struggling to understand anything. I did not enjoy my stay so much here and only stayed one night.

Great place to stay, our hosts were wonderful! The breakfast was delicious; they made omelettes for us every morning. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn’t work, and there was a bad heat wave. The new AC units arrived the day we checked out! Our hosts apologized and gave us a fan to use.

Le manque cruel de climatisation par 40 degrés . Un unique ventilateur qui ne fonctionnait pas vraiment pour une chambre double . La propreté moyenne. Le fait que les hôtes ne parlent que l’allemand , pas un mot d’anglais - traduction via smartphone .

Wow what a FABULOUS place! The owner was extremely accommodating, the place is exceedingly cute, clean, and comfortable, and the location is perfect. I would have paid double the price that I was charged… it was so affordable! My favorite bed and breakfast EVER!!!

The room was at the loft hand so u have to go through a few flights of narrow windy stairs to get to the 3rs floor. I didn't mind though it was a good workout each time u had to go up and down

Booking bood ons een upgrade aan van de kamer voor €7,50. Hierbij zou er airco op de kamer aanwezig zijn. Die airco was er niet en ook niet nodig gehad. Puur geld voor waarschijnlijk booking.

Booking.com bettelt geradezu um eine Bewertung. Also gut - bitte sehr: Gute Lage: mitten im Ort, aber ohne Parkplatz. Sauberkeit: allgemein zufriedenstellend. Die Wirtin war freundlich und hat sich bemüht.

Kein telefonischer Kontakt möglich. Frühstück zunächst nur am Wochenende und an Feiertagen, später dann doch auch am Freitag. Aber mal bis 10:00, mal bis 10:30 Uhr. Das "Doppelbett" bestand aus zwei einzelnen Matratzen (also keine durchgängige breite Matratze). Am schlimmsten war allerdings die Bettwäsche: beide Inlays der Bettdecken waren nicht nur vergilbt, sondern ekelhaft fleckig und notdürftig geflickt - was ich zum Glück erst am nächsten Morgen bemerkt habe (siehe Fotos).

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, wir haben uns gleich willkommen gefühlt. Zentrale Lage, trotzdem relativ ruhig.

I stayed here with my family of four. Children 11 and 14. Our beds were so comfortable. The water pressure for the shower was strong with instant hot water. The location was Amazing. The breakfast buffet was good. The manager of the hotel was very kind and helpful . We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. If you have mobility issues please know there is no elevator/lift to get to your room.

Excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff

The hostess was absolutely wonderful and the location could not have been better. It’s a short walk from the train station, in the middle of all of the eateries and also a short walk to the river (and KD Ferrey launch point). The accommodations were clean and convenient. We enjoyed the nice breakfast buffet in the morning. We booked two rooms and the hotel was able to place us across the hall from each other, which was appreciated.

This is just a note and not a dislike, as with most mature European structures there is no elevator if stairs are an issue and/or no air conditioning if you’re heat sensitive.

Beautiful location on a beautiful street. Excellent restaurant choices around. Very walkable. Excellent bicycle storage. The proprietors were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is very good.

I stayed there from May 31st till June 2. There is nothing NOT to like. It's an amazing place. So cozy and makes you feel special the minute you enter it. I was traveling alone and had booked a double room with balcony which is located on the third floor. Maria the place manager welcomed me warmly and even carried my suitcase for me till the room. She and her husband made me feel like family. Her husband also carried my suitcase for me from the third floor till downstairs on my check out day. 🥰 They managed to do a wonderful breakfast every day and always check if everything is okay and if I could need anything else . As Bacharach is a tiny city there are very few possibilities to have breakfast somewhere else than the hotel you stay at. And I didn't regret it a bit. Their breakfast is even cheaper than other places in the city. The whole place is spotless. Bed is extremely cozy and the sheets of the bed and duvet was crisp and clean, it makes you feel like a VIP guest. As for the water flow and it's temperature in the shower, it's perfect. I liked the room space and the natural lighting that came through all the windows. The room also has a mini fridge which makes it easy to get things and store them until use in your room. As summer in Europe sometimes can be unbearable they even didn't forget about having a portable fan in the room. I would give them 20/10 if I could and totally recommend the place to anyone coming for visit in the area. I for myself would definitely come again if I ever visit Bacharach again ❤️😍

I can’t really say as I did not stay there. I arrived and no one was there, they did not answer the door, the phone or my messages. They did return my money, so there was that.

Again, all I can say is that they seemed pretty unprofessional. I went to the local tourist office and they found me another host.

From the starting, you are being welcomed warmly by the hosts, introduced into the charming interiors of the hotel. In an instant, you can feel that Maria and her colleague dedicate themselves (only the two of them?!, wow) to keeping the hotel clean, cozy and sophisticated as it stands. The breakfast buffet has been prepared with care and love, freshly picked flowers giving the final touch to how you would want to begin your new day in such a comforting town as Bacharach. The interaction between the hosts and the visitors felt natural, open-hearted and led by curiosity. As charming as the hotel might already be, the charming atmosphere was mainly carried by the hosts and i am thankful to them for making my short stay at Bacharach even more worthwhile to reminisce on!
