L’hôtel est très bien placé, au bord du Gange et avec une merveilleuse terrasse à toute heure de la journée. Ma chambre avait un joli balcon qui a reçu la visite de singes. Hôtel propre et sûr, avec un personnel attentif. Climatisation et douche = parfaites. C’est très calme et le restaurant prépare des plats simples mais bons et safe.

Pas d’ascenseur. C’est important à savoir même si les gens de l’hôtel vous aident avec les valises, même depuis l’extérieur du centre-ville puisque les taxis ne peuvent accéder jusque là.

Posizione super comoda per vivere l'atmosfera di varanasi. Staff super disponibile e accogliente. All'interno della guest house si può trovare un'atmosfera di pace per riposare. Nota di merito anche alla cucina.

Purtroppo ci sono state delle incomprensioni per quanto riguarda le escursioni. In un primo momento ci siamo sentiti dire che era impossibile uscire in barca nei giorni del nostro alloggio,successivamente però il ragazzo addetto alle gite si è contraddetto dicendo l'opposto.

Nothing honestly

This place is diffrent. It is not very modern but that is fine. One thing i want to mwntion in beginning this place may not be very friendly for old parents or someone with issue of knee or climbing up and down. Any ways this place is cosy, such a accessible location for the temple, All the ghaats, aarti and other activities. Such a good room if you book next category than standard as it come with a nice cosy balcony with sitting area. Food at terrace restaurant is fresh, good and tasty. Staff is so nice. Room is well equiped AC, Fan, hot and cold water, basic amenities. And it is not a build hotel it is a old house converted to hotel stay so you have that homely feel. If you realy want to stay for more more than 5 days it is a peefect place. Over at the price one will pay it is more than value you pay. Thanks to everyone at Ganpati guest house.

We booked a room with a balcony, and it was absolutely worth it. Being able to offer our prayers while looking at Ganga Maa during the day, evening, and night was a deeply peaceful and spiritual experience. I had never before stayed so close to Ganga Maa for three nights and four days, and it is a memory I will cherish for life. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly, caring, and always ready to help. Their hospitality was truly exceptional. As my mother had to undertake a more than 12-hour train journey, they thoughtfully prepared a special meal for her without spices, along with fresh chapatis. This personal care touched us deeply. The room was cleaned every day, and the breakfast was excellent. The food was fresh, comforting, and felt just like a home-cooked meal. Overall, our stay was peaceful, memorable, and spiritually enriching. It was an unforgettable experience, and we are sincerely grateful to the entire team for making our visit so special.

The only area for improvement is to improve Wifi connectivity.

De sfeer was fantastisch. Inrichting, uitzicht. We werden opgehaald door het personeel daar waar de taxi niet verder kon (voetgangers gebied). Toplocatie direct aan 1 van de ghats waar we op de boot stapten voor een interessante tocht over de Ganges. De gids die door het hotel geregeld was was absoluut top en wist ons naar speciale plekken te begeleiden en veel uitleg te geven. Personeel allemaal super met name de restaurant manager.

My first room had a view of the courtyard/building next door from a door, with no actual windows. As I had booked "room with view" I requested a change of rooms and was quickly/easily moved to another with two windows and an adequate view. Service was spectacular.

Es un hotel con encanto en un sitio inmejorable de Varanasi Ojo, hay que hacer caminando el ultimo km porque no permiten pasar los coches pero te ayudan a cargar las maletas los del hotel. Vistas increíbles al Ganges desde las terrazas de nuestras habitaciones y desde la terraza del bar. El desayuno estaba muy rico.

Un poco caóticos los interruptores para apagar y encender las luces.

The location was superb, the staff were incredibly helpful and the tours were well-priced. They provided us with Sunil as our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable of the area. We were very pleased with the tours and the hotel.

The monkeys! But they weren’t there all the time and the hotel staff were very helpful.

This guesthouse is rated highly and I can see why. The location is amazing! Located directly on the Ganges, my room had a gorgeous view of the sunrise each morning and the rooftop restaurant is a lovely way to view sunrise, sunset, and evening aarti. It's a perfect oasis in the bustling scene of Varanasi. Super easy to access boat rides. The staff, particularly Dhiraj, were delightful.

The location and the staff were incredible thwy helped us with everything we needed from transport boat rides and walking tours. Could not have asked for anything more. We stayed during Shivaratti an amazing experience

La localisation est très agréable avec un accès direct au ghat. Le restaurant sur le roof top est bon et la vue est très sympa. Le personnel du restaurant très disponible.

Room is a good size but basic, bathroom is tiny and shower don’t bother with it..I literally couldn’t use it.

Snídaně by měla být lepší. Dostali jsme jiný pokoj, než jsme si, dle fotek, mysleli (ale lišil se jen barvami na stěnách, jinak byl skvělý).

Exceptionnellement situé pour découvrir, du balcon ou de la terrasse, les ghâts de Bénérès. Chambre très agréable, spacieuse avec grand balcon. Restaurant et petit déjeuner en terrasse, personnel très agréable. Transfert des bagages assuré par l'hôtel ce qui constitue un vrai plus compte tenu des travaux en cours dans la ville et même lorsque l'on part très tôt le matin.

Le service de bateau proposé par l'hôtel un peu cher

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux dans cet hôtel ! L’emplacement est idéal, en plein sur les ghats, ce qui permet de profiter facilement de la vie culturelle et spirituelle de cette ville. La vue depuis notre chambre était à couper le souffle, un véritable régal pour les yeux à tout moment de la journée. L’hôtel est impeccable : chaque espace est d’une propreté irréprochable, et cela rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale : toujours souriant, attentionné et disponible, ils ont su rendre notre expérience chaleureuse et sans stress. L'accueil à l'aéroport parfait ainsi que l'aide pour nos valises car il faut marcher 15mn pour joindre l'hôtel par des rues piétonnes. Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation.

Overwhelmingly the location. It is 2 mins walk to important ghats and evening ceremony. The fact that they assisted us getting there and departing by carrying our bags for at least 15 mins to and from our transport through crowded alleys swarming with people. Reception staff were always helpful

Quite a bit. It is expensive to visit but the place looks and feels underinvested. Rooms are tired, have overused bed linen, lack decor, poor showers and the plumbing smells. The dining room too disappoints. Unmotivated staff. Quite a few of us were kept waiting for a long time on departure day whilst they chatted to each other. Uninspiring food too. It needs an overhaul.

We got electric shocks from touching the taps and the bidet in the room's toilet. Our family stayed in the annex building. We felt electric shocks in both our rooms in the annex building. We highlighted to the staff who took 1 whole afternoon to look into the problem but the very next day the electric shocks came back. Extremely dangerous especially if people are staying alone in the rooms without anyone to save them. We stayed at rooms 21 and 22.

The restaurant was very good and waiter went out of his way to make each meal the best. Overall, staff were helpful. The location and views can’t be beat. It’s worth the price to get a room overlooking the river. After being out amongst the frenetic hustle and bustle of the city, a comfortable safe refuge. Perfect for a woman traveling alone.

La posizione è il vero punto forte di questo hotel. Abbiamo prenotato una camera con vista Gange e abbiamo adorato questa scelta. In ogni momento poter uscire sul terrazzo e vedere la vita che si svolge sul Gange non ha prezzo! Abbiamo chiesto che all'arrivo qualcuno dell'hotel potesse aiutarci a portare i bagagli e sono stati molto veloci e gentili (dal punto piu vicino in cui poterva lasciarci il tuc tuc alla sistemazione ci sono circa 15-20 minuti di cammino nelle strette vie del centro). La camera è spaziosa e pulita. Il letto è comodo e le coperte calde e morbide. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile per ogni richiesta, per esempio, a causa delle basse temperature esterne, abbiamo richiesto una stufetta elettrica che ci è stata fornita immediatamente e la mattina seguente abbiamo chiesto di poter consumare la colazione sul terrazzo della nostra camera e siamo stati accontentati.

Il bagno è molto piccolo. La doccia ha acqua calda (c'è un boiler) ma il getto usciva piuttosto piano. C'è una tendina di separazione per la doccia. Consiglierei di tenere più pulito il terrazzo esterno. Le sedie sono un po' impolverate, è un peccato perché lo spazio esterno vista Gange è una parte molto importante del soggiorno.

Can’t get a better location than right on the Ganges. The staff are so wonderful - they rescued us and our luggage from the very busy main road and helped us get to the guest house. The room was nice and cozy and rooftop great for a beer. Food was nice too. A little noisy at night until 10pm but it’s a lively area. The view from the balcony in the morning and at night is unbeatable.

It’s perfect.
