Amazing! The staff were so lovely, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect! We highly recommend!

Other reviews about the train were worrying but it didn’t affect us at all as the trains only passed during the day.

Where do I start with this place ! Wow what a beautiful hotel . The rooms here are amazing . So so clean . Less than a min walk to the beach couldn’t get closer 🫶🏻 . The staff here are amazing, iv never met kinder people , always smiling ☺️ Must try the Italian restaurant they have in the hotel ! OH MY GOODNESS the pizzas WOW. 10/10 The only small problem I had was the WiFi it wasn’t the best but definitely not the worst ! Would definitely book here again !

Das Zimmer waren hübsch eingerichtet und entsprach genau den Fotos. Alles war sehr sauber und das gesamte Personal war super freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück war gut, mit drei Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Der Strand und Surfschulen sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Etwas komisch fanden wir, dass man für ein traditionelles Sri-Lanka-Frühstück extra zahlen musste. Zimmer zur Straßenseite sind nicht für einen erholsamen Schlaf geeignet – man hört die ganze Nacht und besonders in den frühen Morgenstunden den Verkehr und das Hupen. Auch das Bett war nicht besonders komfortabel und hat bei jeder Bewegung gequietscht.

Very friendly staff, clean room and a great breakfast.

It is right next to the main road and rail - which is quite loud. If you face the front you'll hear the road and if you face the back I'd expect you'd hear the railway (this is probably better as it doesn't run late or too early).

Celý pobyt byl skvělý a hotel se nám velmi líbil. Zejména personál byl naprosto famózní a velmi milý. Snídaně byly vynikající.

Vlak za hotelem může na první pohled působit rušivě, ale ve skutečnosti nás nijak nerušil ani nebudil.

The staff at Rise B&B were so kind and could not do enough for you! Our room was clean and comfortable with great AC. The included breakfast in the morning was delicious and I would highly recommend booking the Italian restaurant for your evening meal! Location is a 2 minute walk from the beach and easily walkable to beach clubs and other restaurants.

The location was perfect l, the beach was just across the road. Accommodation was well thought out, spacious and clean.

The train line was directly behind the hotel so of you have a room at the back and are a light sleeper this may be a problem.

特にありません。電車の音が気になるという口コミもありましたが、特に大きな音がするわけでもなく私は気になりませんでした。朝晩は電車が通ることもなく、快眠でした⭐️

The location was great a couple of minutes to the beach the staff were so nice and helpful. The breakfast was really filling and nice, the home made bread and pancakes were delicious! The pizza restaurant downstairs was really good! The train didn't bother us at all as they are really infrequent.

Das Personal ist extrem nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut, nicht weit von vielen Restaurants und sehr nah am Strand gelegen. Man kommt schnell in beide Richtungen: Mirissa und Ahangama, wenn man Tagesausflüge machen möchte. Vor der Unterkunft gibt es Parkplätze für Roller, falls man sich einen anmieten möchte.

Mit der Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer hat es etwas gemüffelt, aber das war okay. Die Gleise direkt hinter der Unterkunft haben uns nicht gestört, da wir tagsüber nicht da waren und er nachts nicht fährt. Man hat nicht wirklich Möglichkeiten Sachen aufzuhängen und im Bad gibt es keine Ablagefläche. Es gab nur lauwarmes Wasser, aber das ist bei den Temperaturen in Ordnung und für die Verhältnisse in Sri Lanka normal.

המיטה לא היתה לי נוחה קצת שקועה וקשה, בלילה האחרון ריח חריף של ביוב מהמקלחת לכל החדר לא יודעת מה קרה. הארוחת בוקר טעימה אך משעממת באיזשהו שלב כשאתה הרבה לילות במקום, ממש צמוד לפסי הרכבת ויש רעש אבל בקושי הייתי בחדר אז בקטנה!

Perfecte locatie dicht aan het strand, vriendelijk personeel, fijn bed met klamboe,lekker zelf gemaakt brood bij ontbijt en fijn en lekker Italiaans restaurant beneden voor in de avond.

De wifi werkte niet, de kamer stonk naar vocht en rook, de airco deed het raar, de badkamer was heel oud, de douche was kapot waardoor je de kop met de hand moest vasthouden. Vieze oude badkamer. Wordt hoog beoordeeld op booking.com, maar dat is het totaal niet. De trein hoor je extreem hard langs je kamer gaan, eerste schrok ik heel hard.

Das Zimmer war wirklich super super schön, genau wie auf den Bildern und das Personal war auch unfassbar freundlich. Es war alles sehr sauber und das Bett war gemütlich. Das Frühstück war absolut okay, man konnte immer zwischen ein paar Optionen wählen.

Die Lage direkt an der Hauptstraße ist wirklich laut. Wenn man damit kein Problem hat, ist es wirklich eine tolle Unterkunft.

Chambre brut sans âme, bruit du train

Der Manager und das gesamt Personal waren sehr bemüht und haben es uns sogar ermöglicht nach dem Check-out noch zu duschen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet und auch sehr sauber.

Die Lage der Unterkunft wirkt auf den ersten Blick gut, da das Meer schnell erreichbar ist. Dieser Vorteil wird jedoch stark relativiert, da direkt hinter der Unterkunft eine Bahnstrecke verläuft. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Zugseite, und aufgrund der extrem schlechten Schalldämmung von Fenstern und Balkontüre war der Lärmpegel unzumutbar. Es klang und fühlte sich an, als würden die Züge direkt durch das Zimmer fahren. Bereits ab 6:00 Uhr morgens verkehren mehrere Züge pro Stunde, wodurch an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken ist. Die bereitgestellten Ohrstöpsel sind völlig wirkungslos, da die Züge nicht nur sehr laut sind, sondern auch spürbare Vibrationen im gesamten Zimmer verursachen. Zusätzlich ist die Zimmertüre äußerst hellhörig – sämtliche Geräusche und Gespräche vom Gang waren klar verständlich. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft aufgrund der massiven Lärmproblematik, insbesondere bei Zimmern zur Bahnseite, für lärmempfindliche Gäste nicht zu empfehlen. Nachdem wir vor dieser Unterkunft bereits 2 Wochen in Sri Lanka getourt sind, sind wir der Meinung, dass die Frühstücksauswahl in dieser Preisklasse deutlich besser hätte sein können. Geschmacklich war’s gut.

O barulho da linha de comboio atrás do hotel pode de facto ser bastante incomodativo, mas esse será um problema comum a qualquer hotel naquela zona e que foge do controlo deles. No entanto, eles oferecem tampões de ouvidos para quem quiser

Logement situé à proximité de la plage (3min à pied). Chambre propre et contenant tout le nécessaire pour un court séjour sur Weligama. Staff très serviable, accueillant, souriant et disponible. Merci à eux !

Même si c’est mentionné, le train passe juste derrière la chambre, ce qui est très bruyant régulièrement, pendant quelques secondes et peut déranger. Petit déjeuner servi un peu tard (pas avant 8h30) et qui pourrait bénéficier d’un peu plus d’options et quantité, bien que bon dans l’ensemble.

Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen, habe gute Tipps für die Umgebung bekommen und wurde immer mit einem Lächeln begrüßt! Das Bett war sehr gemütlich und der Tisch mit Spiegel im Zimmer war super um sich morgens fertig zu machen. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Außerdem war das Zimmer und Bad super sauber und es wird auch alle zwei Tage erneut gereinigt !

Die Unterkunft liegt zwischen Hauptstraße und der Bahn, weshalb es sehr laut ist. Die Bahn fährt nachts zwar nicht, man wird aber morgens um 6 Uhr von ihr geweckt, da sie nicht nur an der Unterkunft vorbeifährt, sondern auch noch dabei hupt :D Es gibt allerdings Zimmer in Richtung Straße, vielleicht sind diese etwas leiser. Wenn man die Unterkunft verlässt steht man sofort auf der Hauptstraße die sehr laut, hektisch und dreckig ist. Kein so schöner Anfang um in den Tag zu starten. Manche mag es nicht stören, aber ich habe die Lage des Hotels als nicht so vorteilhaft empfunden. Leider war das Wlan auch sehr schlecht, ich habe es nicht so oft gebraucht, daher hat es mich nicht ganz so gestört.

Tolles Personal, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hoher Standard in der Unterkunft (Sauberkeit und Ausstattung). Tolles Frühstück.

Wir hatten das Zimmer zur Straße dadurch war es relativ laut. Aber sehr nah am Strand gelegen.

The balcony room was spacious clean and comfortable. Air conditioning and a fan worked well in tandem to keep us cool in hot and humid days. The room was serviced every other day and the standard of cleanliness was high. The staff were amazingly.friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother. The manager was a real asset making helpful suggestion and arrangements for visits including an excellent safari and visit to a tea plantation.

As with many properties on the south coast traffic noise was initially a bit of a challenge. However we soon became accurate to the ruthenium of this and the upsides mentioned above easily outweighed this.

Staff were very polite, nice and welcoming. They always took a minute to speak to each guess and ask is everything is okay. Breakfast was always tasty. Room was a good size and clean. Location is good, very close to the beach.

There is a train track right behind the hotel. Our room was facing the train track and it was very loud. Even though trains don’t go throughout the whole night, they restart at around 05:30 and they are very loud. Even though staff provided us with earplugs, we were still woken up by every train. So make sure you are taking the room that is not facing the train tracks.

We had a wonderful stay at Rise Bed and Breakfast. The highlight was defintely the beautiful staff - Amila, Chathuri, Sampath and Ramya, who made us feel so welcome and were just so genuine and kind, always with big smiles. The restaurant downstairs has great (and very authentic!) Italian food and the breakfast was fantastic too. It was a short walk to the beach and we could easily access our surf classes at Lucky Surf (I highly recommend that place too, in particular my coach, Janaka, who was the best surf teacher I have ever found). A massive thank you to the team at Rise - you made our stay so special!

Honestly a great place but bring ear plugs and eye mask - our room had the train track right outside the window but trains do stop through night. Light from air con unit was bright so would recommend an eye mask.

The staff were so friendly and kind, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The restaurant downstairs was great, the pizza was so tasty! The location was also perfect, and the room was really big, I’d definitely recommend this place to anybody.

We loved our stay at Rise! Rise is only a short walk from the beach and the main part of Weligama. The room was really clean and stylish and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast was also great!

The drains in the bathroom smelt a bit but it didn’t stop us enjoying the room.

It is located at a busy street with lots of traffic so cannot sleep with open windows. But to be fair we knew this before and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

Lovey rooms with a restaurant below, the staff were incredible and the breakfast was fantastic! They organised an airport taxi and made plans to receive my luggage at 1am- truly such warm and welcoming hospitality

The trains! Not the staff fault but OMG my bedroom was backing into the train line. There wasn’t many trains per day, but when they went past …. Sounded like Hurricane. And from that I think it’s overpriced, unfortunately.

Rise was an absolute hit when it comes to accommodation in the Weligama area. The location is perfect, very close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The room was spotless, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was spacious enough for us to comfortably unpack. The bed was large and comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. Breakfast was perfect as well, several options to choose from and truly excellent coffee that set a positive tone for the day. And of course, we have to mention the restaurant, which serves the most delicious pizza! A few bites and you feel like you’ve been transported straight to sunny Italy. We were genuinely impressed by how incredible the food was. And finally, the most important part: the owners. We felt truly welcomed, they helped us, advised us, and were simply wonderful. I hope I’ll have the chance to return soon. - clean, spacious room with comfortable bed - close to the beach - helpful staff - delicious breakfast with fantastic coffee - room smells great as well as towels and linen - good value for money - wonderful hosts, we felt right at home

Very clean, very well-organized, very hospitable place. Everyone from Kate to Chatura to Simone to Amila and the rest of the team... Felt like home! Oh and this is the best pizza place ever. EVER.

Die Unterkunft ist oberhalb von einem Restaurant und direkt neben den Bahnschienen. Zusätzlich sind einige Zimmertüren nur aus klapprigen Metall, es hallt und ist insgesamt einfach super laut, vom Stuhl rücken, bis hin zur fahrenden Bahn. Ich fand es daher leider nicht erholsam und wir sind nach eine Nacht abgereist. Wer hier empfindlich ist oder eine ruhigere Zeit in der Unterkunft haben möchte, sollte dies dringend beachten! Leider empfanden wir die Matratze als sehr unbequem
