Unser Zimmer zum Innhof, jeder konnte reinschauen, also Gardinen zu. Sehr sehr kleines Bad… Frühstücksraum laut und erinnert an eine Massenabfertigung. Und die Parksituation. Sehr teuer

When we came at 6pm, the sofa bed is not yet fixed, we went to the reception and told her about it. We find it that the reception is irritated with us instead of feeling sorry because we came late and still we have to wait until the sofa bed is fixed. She is a little rude and unpleasant to talk to. we were there 11 Of September. Expensive for a night and we were not satisfied.

Abbiamo trovato molti capelli sul letto, e polvere sul mobilio. Il parcheggio nel periodo estivo dalle 8 alle 20 è a pagamento e fa lievitare in maniera esponenziale il costo totale della stanza. Noi per una notte abbiamo pagato quasi 50 euro di parcheggio (essendo arrivati alle 11:00). Ricorda che in stanza non c'è frigo ne bollitore. Vasca con doccia ma il doccino non c'è stato modo di utilizzarlo.

Ingen gratis parkering i nærheten. Det er noen parkeringsplasser utenfor hotellet, eid av Easy park. Disse blir fort opptatt utover dagen. Kjøleskapet på rommet fungerte ikke, vi hadde med egen kjøleboks så det ordnet seg på den måten. Møtte ingen norsktalende av de ansatte på hotellet, så en fordel å kunne engelsk.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Das Hotel an sich hat einen schönen Eindruck gemacht. Besonders die Lobby und das Frühstücksbuffet haben uns gut gefallen. Auch die Lage im kleinen Ort Geiranger war sehr praktisch und angenehm. Einige Mitarbeitende an der Rezeption waren freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Positiv war außerdem die Fußbodenheizung im Bad.
Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthalts mehrere Probleme mit der Zimmerzuteilung. Obwohl wir ein Schlafsofa benötigt und dies bei der Buchung angegeben hatten, war im zunächst zugeteilten Zimmer keines vorhanden. Daraufhin wurden uns mitten in der Nacht andere Zimmer angeboten. In einem dieser Zimmer funktionierte wiederum die Toilette nicht, sodass wir erneut umziehen mussten. Am nächsten Tag wurde uns zunächst gesagt, dass wir in dem moderneren Zimmer bleiben könnten. Später wurde dies von der Rezeptionsmanagerin jedoch wieder zurückgenommen. Ihre Art empfanden wir dabei leider als sehr unfreundlich und wenig entgegenkommend. Gerade nach den Problemen in der Nacht hätten wir uns hier etwas mehr Kulanz gewünscht. Das Zimmer, in dem wir schließlich blieben, wirkte deutlich älter und weniger modern, als wir es bei einem Preis von etwa 300 € pro Nacht erwartet hätten. Auch die Parksituation fanden wir etwas enttäuschend: Das Hotel selbst bot keine eigenen Parkmöglichkeiten, sodass wir auf kostenpflichtige Parkplätze in der Umgebung bzw. am Hafen ausweichen mussten, die zusätzlich recht teuer waren. Gerade bei dem ohnehin hohen Übernachtungspreis hätten wir uns hier zumindest eine günstigere oder besser geregelte Parkmöglichkeit für Hotelgäste gewünscht. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für uns daher leider nicht überzeugend.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Havila Hotel Geiranger. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of Geiranger and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The views of the fjord and surrounding mountains are truly spectacular and were one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and our room was comfortable and pleasant. Waking up to such an incredible view made the experience even more memorable.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Havila ist das einzige Hotel in Geiranger, das direkt am Hafen liegt. Die Lage ist ideal – unmittelbar bei den Anlegestellen der Ausflugsboote, Fähren und grossen Kreuzfahrtschiffe. Wir haben bessere Zimmer als gebucht bekommen.
Etwas ungewöhnlich empfanden wir, dass die Reception bei unserer Ankunft gegen 21.15 Uhr während etwa 10 bis 15 Minuten nicht besetzt war. Auch dass das hoteleigene Restaurant bereits um 21.30 Uhr schliesst, überrascht bei einem 4-Sterne-Hotel mit rund 150 Zimmern in der Hauptreisezeit.

Hotel ma już swoje lata, a pokój w którym nas ulokowano wymaga lekkiego odświeżenia. Za taką cenę jakość powinna być lepsza. Dla nas to była tylko jedna noc podczas zwiedzania więc ok. Może inne pokoje są już nowsze.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026The location is fantastic. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was nicer and well-kept for such a high-volume tourist area. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Fantastic breakfast including gluten free options with a separate gluten free toaster.
At first, I was disappointed that the hotel does not have parking but that turned out to be no problem. The street parking is actually free overnight. You use a remote app to pay after 8 AM. If the street is full then there is a garage around the corner but I did not see it. Yes, this is an expensive area, but this is a spectacular area.

Je moet een dag parking betalen aan 4-5€/uur omdat ze geen eigen parking hebben. Als je een kamer boekt zou een compensatie voor de parking welkom zijn. We waren omstreeks 12u in Geiranger. De parking is betalend tussen 8-20u! We dienden dus bovenop ons verblijf nog eens bijna 50€ op te hoesten.

The manager/supervisor Peteo was very very rude. The rooms where like u were not a ship. Horrible. Smelling. Hotel is OLD. Bathroom was stinking. Breakfast horrible. Just from the time we entered it was weird. It was my wife's birthday so they did assist in decorating the room which they charged and did a haphazard job. Horrible. We were able to get credit for the second day so we checked out and went to Hotel Union. Amazing stay. Please dont even bother with this Hotel.

Arrived late, 9 pm.. we did a reservation for dinner and checked in quickly .. they told us kitchen was closed even though we really just wanted anything to eat. Then we heard the staff they they are going to eat dinner. We stayed two nights, they didn’t clean our room or change the towels.
