This was a pleasant room for several nights. But has some short coming not mentioned in the online information but a good location.

Firstly this room has a treacherous staircase that you need to lug your bags up. Part of it without a hand rail. There are four rooms located above a noisy bar. It is managed remotely by the owner. This itself led to problems. Such as our rooms not being serviced. On Friday and Saturday nights the bar plays thumping music until 12.30am. It's very noisy and you can't sleep. Some of the rooms are very very small. Finally the shower in our room was extremely slippery when wet. It really needed some sort of antislip protection. It was very dangerous.

It was as described. And clear instructions for entry and advice on car parking.

Could have been a bigger room.

Good location, clean, modern and quiet. Aircon and decent toiletries. Excellent value for the money - it was very reasonably priced.

I would have given the property 10 but the bar next door played loud dance music until 1am. It is a shame, because there was no one actually in the place as my partner went to check as he couldn’t sleep. The place was perfect apart from that though.

Only downsize would be if you’re not careful you could completely miss the property because of its location but overall it’s still great!

As it Friday night there we live bands playing so if you were hoping for a quiet night then this is not a place for you. Also, there a steep stairs. Not good if you have number of luggages. It was a bit hot at the start.

Die Lage war außergewöhnlich toll - mitten in der Fußgängerzone hat man in wenigen Schritten alle möglichen Läden und Pubs direkt vor der Tür, die Kathedrale war 100 Meter fußläufig erreichbar. Und trotzdem war es nachts nicht laut, das Hotel nicht so hellhörig wie befürchtet. Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein, aber top ausgestattet und das große Bett sehr bequem. Check-In super easy, und die Vorab-Kommunikation zum Parken super ausführlich.

Das Einzige was man wissen muß ist, dass man sein Gepäck schon ein paar Meter tragen muß, die nächstgelegenede Parkmöglichkeit (auch zum Be- und Entladen) ist ein paar Meter entfernt - aber nicht schlimm wenn man mit leichtem Gepäck reist!

Per noi non è stato un problema ma all’ingresso ci sono delle ripide scale non agibili per chiunque.

La chambre était très bien située et très propre.

La chambre était très petite, le lit occupait tout l’espace. Pour une nuit, cela ne posait pas problème mais ça peut être embêtant pour plusieurs nuits.

Perfect place to stay at if you’re visiting for a night or two.

Ruim appartement met twee grote slaapkamers! Grote badkamer waar de kinderen lekker in bad konden gaan. Super centraal. Uitzicht op de Kathedraal. Wat aanwezige producten bij aankomst zeer welkom!

Parkeren kan in de buurt, maar daar hangt meteen ook een prijskaartje aan. Door de centrale plek ook gehorig. Veel geluid vanaf de straat.

The large shower room was exceptional. Probably the best shower room I've ever encountered. The aircon worked very well. Lighting, and their controls were very good. Location was good, close to the West Gate end of Canterbury. Just a 7-minute walk from Canterbury West train station.

The double bed only just fitted in the width of the room, with very limited space either side. We used one of the many cushions to try to wedge the curtain shut at night. There was loud music from the adjacent pub at night, but appreciate this was Thursday and Friday night. We could hear a lot of low-level conversation from an adjacent room. It was a shame there wasn't a traditional kettle available - no tea-making facilities, just 'posh' coffee! No storage space. We 'lived' out from our luggage which we had to stack up against the window.

Wir hatten das Zimmer Nummer 2, das größer war, als wir erwartet hattet. Mit einem großen Koffer und einem Handgepäckskoffer konnten wir uns für zwei Nächte hier arrangieren. Das Bad ist erstaunlich groß und modern gewesen. Die ruhigere Lage des Zimmers nach hinten raus und die Möglichkeit, das Fenster etwas zu öffnen, hat uns gefallen. Auch die Lage in der Innenstadt war perfekt!

Die Sauberkeit hätte auf einem höheren Standard sein können. Es waren Haare auf der Bettwäsche bei Ankunft und ein großer Fleck auf der Bettwäsche. Netterweise hat das Personal am nächsten Tag alles gewechselt und gereinigt. Die Kommunikation dabei war zuvorkommend.

Die Unterstellmöglichkeit unserer Fahrräder war ein Problem, da die verschließbaren Fahrradboxen für uns nicht zu bedienen waren.

The apartment location is perfect for any stay. The room suitable for a short stay only due to hanging / store / floor space. Very comfortable and clean. Fantastic coffee making facilities. Bathroom was lovely - spacious, clean and well equipped. The apartment is probably better suited to a business user with limited luggage and requiring central location.

La localización del alojamiento es perfecta... El único problema es que al estar en la calle principal de bares y tiendas, se escucha algo de ruido... Pero nos dejaron tapones para los oídos para cada huésped... qué detalle!! Nos dejaron una cesta con algo de picar y cafés buenísimos...la cocina muy bien equipada...

Well located in central Canterbury and reasonably priced. Quite a spacious apartment that can easily accommodate 4 people.

The decor was a little tired in parts, and there was some significant street noise at night. The main problem was how hot the flat was. The windows were only able to open a crack, but the place felt like it needed thoroughly airing.

My husband thought the room was a little small

Nearly perfect! All new and modern, good quality beds and towels. Buns, coffee and tea were provided. Easy access. Friendly pub "lady luck" in the building, lovely to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere in the street, all attractions very close by. Car parking only 5 minutes walk.

Music from the pub next door went on too long. Windows are to open only 10 centimetres, therefore it was too warm.

Excellent location with a large public parking nearby. Very quiet despite location, but it was Wednesday. Great communication.

Narrow and steep stairs may not be suited for everyone.

I am trying to contact you regarding our stay proposed stay at the Hugo hotel concept hotel in fact we didn't stay,we had directions sent to us by the manager , on arrival at Canterbury we could not find the property,we spent the best part of two hours driving around the city, we contacted shopkeepers, and other local folk to help and none of them were able to.a manager of a flower shop suggested parking at a public car park and walk around which I am not able to do.eventualy we booked into the premier inn I have texted the manager regarding the situation and he suggested I talk to you, as I requested a refund of all costs we incurred Many Thanks Marcia and Tony Hughes

It’s within the city center. Closed to the garden and to the cathedral. Room is clean no doubt about it. Good for the price.

A little bit tricky to find because their sign is not that obvious, we asked the restaurant beside them and we are lucky that the waitress has experienced the same situation like us and was able to help. A small foldable table would help as well, to eat our take aways. But overall, 9/10👍🏻

You were not allowed to have music or the TV on after 11 yet in-between 2 pubs and noise level was not great

The room was very clean, comfortable and even had thoughtful additions of water bottles and ear plugs. The bed was very comfortable and a good size. There was also a quiet AC system which was greatly appreciated during the hot weather. Also super impressed with the shower pressure and temperature. The hotel is located in the centre of Canterbury so we could easily walk to many sightseeing attractions and restaurants. Lastly the communication with Ben was excellent. All of our questions were answered thoroughly and we felt well cared for - even with it being a contactless check in!

There was noise (music/chatting) from the establishments below until the early hours of the morning. This wasn't a major issue as we knew when booking, however the bass of the music was quite extreme. As long as you're aware of this in advance, then you'll have no worries when staying at the Hugo!

Extremely well appointed, excellent coffee machine, location is perfect for visiting Canterbury, a very good selection of bars and eating places nearby. Although there is no parking, there are several options only a short walk away.

As two OAPs we found the stairs were a little awkward (especially at the top).

What a wonderful little gem this is. Never noticed it hidden in plain sight on previous trips. It was well set up and had a lovely high end finish. Enjoyed it so much, we're staying there again in a few weeks time.

I liked that entry was by keycode - no stress about forgetting keys - and the en-suite shower room was well appointed. Towels etc were plentiful and the standard of cleanliness was reasonably high. The coffee machine was appreciated. The location, while a little noisy at the start of the night, is a great one, near the Wetsgate Towers and the town centre and some nice riverside walks.

There was little space in the room. The curtain was stiff to pull. A few bits had escaped the cleaning process. The coffee machine was not quite self-explanatory and there was no kettle for alternative drinks. There were no chairs, or wardrobes in the room. For two people or a longer stay it would have proved a tight squeeze. For a single traveller, a smaller bed would have made the room more spacious and practical.

Located right in the heart of the city centre. The room was a bit small, but it was modern, clean and cosy. Also the very nice bathroom. I particularly loved the coffee machine! The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful.

My room had a very strong cigarette smell, likely from the pub below it. They offered to clean the room again, which did not help the pervasive smell, but I appreciated the effort.

Le bruit le soir jusque tard etait infrrnal a cause du pub a coté. Et le bruit tot le matin des machines qui nettoyaient la rue. Les boules Quies mises a disposition dans le tiroir n'ont pas suffi a rendre la nuit supportable. Dommage car pour le reste, l'appartement est beau et propre. J'imagine qu'il faut mieux choisir son jour. Nous y etions un samedi soir... 🫤.

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir die Übernachtung in Canterbury gewählt. Top Lage! Perfekt für einen Aufenthalt mit der Familie. Für das Frühstück stand Milch und Saft im Kühlschrank bereit. Kaffee, Tee waren vorhanden. Saubere Wohnung.

A very clean room with ensuite in the High Street Canterbury. It is over a pub but it was very quiet when we were there on a wednesday evening. Ear plugs are supplied if noise is an issue. Very good toiletries and towels. Good coffee machine.

The room could be noisy, I imagine, on a Friday or Saturday night but why not stay in the bar til late. We love our tea in the morning but the coffee machine does not provide water and there is no kettle. I would prefer tea to be provided rather than just coffee.

Great location, right in the centre of town. Lovely apartment and spacious. Appreciated the little extras like the milk and pain au chocolats!

The front bedroom was quite noisy at night but to be expected given the location.

Extremely clean, modern, fresh and a delight in comparison to many of the outdated hotels in the area, that need more than a lick of paint - this is a hidden gem.

The bars in close proximity might upset some people - but to be honest the music from them was off by 10.00pm - so was totally acceptable for me (and it was good music to listen to)

Die Lage war super, direkt in der Innenstadt. Die Wohnung war ausreichend groß und schön eingerichtet. Parken ist in direkter Umgebung sehr teuer, aber der Vermieter hat uns einen Tipp gegeben wo wir kostenlos parken konnten. Zu Fuß 10 Minuten, also kein Problem.

Die Matratzen auf den Betten waren sehr,sehr weich. Unsere Kinder fanden das toll, aber für uns waren sie sehr unbequem.

Room was tiny, beyond tiny. No reception on the tv, had to sign up to netflix to watch something. Only a couple of inches each side of the bed, so extremely hard to get in or out
