Gute Lage, nur ein paar Minuten zur Kathedrale. Unser Zimmer zur Straße war etwas laut, man kann nachts kein Fenster offen lassen.

The television in the room was very small. Almost impossible to watch from all the beds. It is understood that space is at a premium. Guests may not be interested in the watching the TV...lucky to have it in such an old building!

Wonderful location, so easy to walk into Canterbury leaving the car at the property . Very helpful check in. Excellent breakfast.

The lovely staff we met especially the gentleman on reception he was so helpful, polite and charming!

The room needs a lot of attention especially the bathroom, broken tiles on floor which are very dangerous I’m amazed no one has cut there feet 😟and bed is rock hard we didn’t sleep very well at all.

The location was excellent. It had free parking; although you were not guaranteed a space there are 2 car parks within easy access of the hotel. Room was well furnished.

The shower in room 2 provided a trickle of water. Insufficient power to have a proper shower.

Personal war sehr hektisch beim Frühstück und unser tisch war so platziert, dass alle die ganze zeit daran vorbeigelaufen sind. Obwohl das Personal zu dritt sehr hektisch und laut durch die Gegend gelaufen ist, wurde das Buffet nicht entsprechend aufgefüllt.

This hotel is a great location for the city with the bonus of parking. The family room was lovely with everything we needed and comfortable beds. Breakfast was really nice and the service was excellent.

Staff was welcoming and friendly and encouraged in conversation with us. Room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Location was perfect for us as we enjoyed access to town and the train.

Cama muy pequeña, la ducha se caía sola, no había enchufes, el personal poco predispuesto. Desayuno con poca variedad

Ottima colazione, a differenza delle recensioni precedenti, ho trovato abbondanza e varietà. La camera era grande e luminosa. Lo staff gentile e disponibile. Posizione ottima, a pochi passi dal centro, col vantaggio di avere un parcheggio gratuito a disposizione.

Il bagno era minuscolo, con un lavandino troppo piccolo da essere quasi inutile, la pressione della doccia debole e la possibilità di lavarsi con un solo sapone che fungeva da bagnoschiuma e shampoo. Le finestre antiche e vissute erano belle ma con tanti spifferi, entrava il vento e purtroppo anche il rumore della strada sottostante, veramente molto trafficata. Infine i cuscini duri e la moquette degli spazi comuni logora e dall’aspetto poco pulito.

Traffic noise was loud and constant, they have secondary glazing stuck on inside of frames but it doesn’t work when the original windows are jammed open but the windows needed to be open because the room was hot otherwise and there’s no A/C there’s also no fridge. Breakfast is a basic continental no fry up apparently they can’t cook because it’s listed and they’re not allowed extractors.

The Castle House Hotel is a quaint lodging located in Canterbury. The building dates back to 1730 and it is steeped in history. Across the street are the ruins of a Roman castle. The main selling point was that this property includes parking, something which is both scarce and expensive in this area. I recommend that you arrive at check-in time since the parking lot is small. The property is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the center of town with a lot of dining and activities. There are 2 rooms on the ground floor and a few more 1 flight up. There is no elevator, so if you have accessibility issues, book early. The room was cozy and clean. As with all properties in this area, there is no air conditioning, and with temperatures hovering around 80 deg F / 27 deg C all week in July, it was hot in the room. A small fan provided some minimal, but noisy relief. The continental breakfast was disappointing – a few choices of cold cereal and some meats, and not much else. This stay was perfect for a 1 night visit to Canterbury.

Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, aufgrund des Alters, sehr hellhörig und recht stickig. Keine Möglichkeit im Bad das Fenster zu öffnen, Ventilator deaktiviert.

Bellissima la camera e bellissima la struttura posizione perfetta per visitare la città a piedi, parcheggio ottimo.

La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et confortables. L'accès au jardin très appréciable le soir. Le parking est petit mais nous avons pu y garer notre voiture pour la journée précédant la réservation. C'est un vrai atout tout comme la localisation toute proche du centre ville. Le petit déjeuner est très bien.

It was really hot in the room during the latest heatwave! We were provided with a decent fan, but would have preferred it if both windows had opened in our room then maybe a chance of a breeze to go through room as so stuffy! But apart from that a lovely room.

The location is perfect for Canterbury City Centre, we walked to all the local restaurants and amenities We booked a triple room as ere attending our daughters graduation locally, everything’s was clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff here are fantastic, couldn’t do enough for you and made you feel very welcome Particularly enjoyed breakfast, such a great choice of continental breakfast Will definitely book again

Ottima posizione vicino al centro. Colazione buona e abbondante. Camera pulita e accogliente

Purtroppo le finestre non si potevano aprire molto pertanto la camera non poteva essere arieggiata. La stanza è risultata infatti troppo calda, complice anche una giornata particolare calda e soleggiata. Consigliamo ai proprietari di sistemare le finestre.

Impossible d ouvrir les fenêtres, elles sont bloquées, double protection donc effet ++ avec le soleil. 1 ventilateur mis à disposition mais la température de la chambre était insupportable. Pas de climatisation, les rideaux n avaient pas été tirés à notre arrivée non plus pr être à l' ombre. Impossible de faire rentrer de la fraîcheur, à la limite du mal aise.

Sehr charmantes Hotel, gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Es war richtig warm im Zimmer und die Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen, aber ein Ventilator hat uns geholfen.

Camera molto bella e posizione strategica direi eccezionale. Il parcheggio poi è davvero perfetto.

Hotel molto comodi per visitare Canterbury, 5 minuti a piedi dal centro e molto facile da raggiungere per chi arriva in auto. Parcheggio interno gratuito con posti sufficienti per tutti gli ospiti. Struttura pulita, che mantiene molto lo stile dell'epoca originale della casa. Personale gentile e molto disponibile. Colazione buona.

La nostra stanza era un po' vecchiotta, è molto carina l'idea di mantenere lo stile originale, ma meriterebbe investire su una ristrutturazione conservativa. Sarebbe un valore aggiunto.

La stanza terribile...un odore di muffa misto a sigaretta forse, in bagno odore di muffa. La porta della camera tutta sgangherata, la stanza era la numero 15. Ci avevano assegnato una stanza che è praticamente un garage nel cortile...pessima. poi con il cambio stanza, le cose sono andate peggio. Lasciate stare, date retta. Andate da un'altra parte.

Only thing which disappointed us. We were looking forward to a good English breakfast after two weeks in France. Only to find they only do European breakfast. Still good but when you look forward to an English breakfast nothing else will do.

Geem stopje voor het bad aanwezig (hadden we kunnen vragen maar het hoort gewoon aanwezig te zijn) Bedden niet geweldig, je voelt de veren goed Bij het ontbijt waren onze kinderen van 2 en 4 wat druk en we waren ze al continu aan het corrigeren maar het personeel zei er ook nog wat van en toen we weg liepen hoorden we dat ze wat tegen de andere gasten erover zeiden. Vind ik niet nodig, , zeg het dan in mijn gezicht.

Breakfast was very minimal but nice to be included in the room rate. Loved the building itself, very old and classy. And what really hit it off for me was the shower, loved it.

My only criticism was there was a big dip in our mattress which made it slightly uncomfortable. I was concerned that my fat arse caused it but then remembered it was there to begin with lol. We only stayed one night so in the end I got use to the dip although probably not good for the spine.

De ligging aan de rand van het centrum en we hadden een heel grote kamer. Eigenlijk heel prima voor 1 nacht.

Wij vonden het ontbijt niet geweldig maar waren verwend in de rest van Engeland. De douche kregen we niet goed afgesteld en we durfden er niet aan te draaien ivm de waarschuwing voor heel heet water. Maar lauw water was prima gezien de warmte.

Wonderful hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. Happy to advise on local facilities and very friendly. Wonderful breakfast. It’s a real old school guest house in a lovely seaside town with parking available on street. We would happily visit again.

직원이 매우 친절하였고 고풍스럽고 켄터베리 시내까지 가까워 충분한 시간을 가지고 둘러볼수 있었다. 주차장에 주차하기 쉽게 꽤 공간이 넓었다. 다음날 체크아웃 하고 켄터베리 대성당 투어에 참가 하였는데 돌아올때까지 주차를 할수 있도록 배려해 주었다. 숙소가 2층 이었는데 무거운 캐리어 4개를 첫날 올려주고 다음날. 체크아웃 할때도 내려주어 매우없 고마웠다
