Schade das auf meinen Wunsch nach einer Hängematte nicht eingegangen wurden ist obwohl Zimmer frei waren... Im Buchungsprozess stand Direkt am Strand, was sie aber nicht ist es sind schon einige meter. sieht man dann aber erst bei Eingabe der Adresse.

Gute Lage nähe Strand, am Strand können bei einer Bar Liegestühle mit Schirmen genutz werden. In ca. 5-10 Minuten zu Fuss hat man diverse gute Restaurants. Elena und ihr Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Klimaanlage kann nicht mit allen Funktionen (Sleep-Mode, Swing-Funktion, etc.) eingestellt werden. Barbetrieb oder Restaurant am Abend war nicht vorhanden, Frühstück am morgen war möglich.

Der Aufenthalt war toll zum Entspannen. Alles war sehr ansprechend, die Gastgeberin und ihr Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben sehr lecker gefrühstückt.Das Meer mit kostenfrei zu nutzenden Liegen ist nur ein Katzensprung entfernt, dort findet man alles, was man zum Vergnügen benötigt. Ebenfalls fußläufig gut erreichbar sind der Supermarkt, ATM und viele kleine Restaurants.

Hotel a meno di 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia di Uppuveli. Staff gentile e disponibile, ci hanno messo a disposizione un bagno per lavarci anche ore dopo aver effettuato il check out.

La camera non era molto pulita, abbiamo trovato spesso formiche e rane in camera o nel bagno. Ci sono anche parecchie zanzare, ma almeno è presente una zanzariera sul letto

I really loved the location. It was just a short walk from the beach and very close to plenty of restaurants and bars, which made everything really convenient.

There were a few mosquitoes in the bathroom, so having mosquito plug-ins available in the rooms would be helpful. Mosquito nets were provided, but not everyone may prefer to use them. The water pressure was also quite low. However, these were only minor issues, and the friendly staff and excellent location more than made up for them.

Elena Garden is beautifully located in the middle of nature. Although it’s around the corner from Upavelli beach, you won’t notice when you’re at the accommodation. It’s the perfect place to chill in front of your room. The staff working there is very lovely.

I was traveling by myself and found it difficult to find activities and restaurant to my taste: slightly less touristy. I think it’s good to realize that this area is focusing on Europeanen tourists.

This is a really comfortable and relaxing place to stay. There are only a small number of rooms, set in a beautiful tropical garden, which gives the whole place a peaceful and welcoming feel. The rooms are individually decorated — ours had a lovely flamingo mural painted on the wall — and it’s obvious that Elena has put a lot of thought into making sure guests have everything they might need. There were lots of thoughtful touches, including toothbrushes and a clothes-drying rack, which was especially handy after a day at the beach. The location is great too — just a short walk to the beach, as well as the shops and restaurants on the main street. A lovely, relaxing place to stay and one we’d happily recommend.

Шикарная территория! Замечательная, внимательная, отзывчивая хозяйка, которая помогала в решении всех вопросов и просьб. Помогла нам с организацией трансферов, экскурсий. Очень приятно было, что дочку поздравили тортиком в день её рождения. Очень доброжелательный персонал, улыбчивые, внимательные. Чистые номера, есть сумка для пляжа и пляжные полотенца, большая кровать с удобным матрасом, есть балдахин. Очень вкусный завтрак (есть несколько вариантов, можно выбрать, что кушать).

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage, ist sehr sauber und alle Angestellten sehr nett! Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und Elena sehr hilfsbereit beim Organisieren von Ausflügen und Transfers! Gerne wieder!

Basic guesthouse, maar lekker want 100m van dé plek op het strand van Uppuvelli Beach: Hawaii bar & restaurant. Pak je bedje daar, drink en lunch en schuif direct door naar happy hour in een van de zitzakken, en daarna een tafeltje met je voeten in het zand. Thé place to be, en daarna 100m naar je bedje. Lekker ontbijt, lieve mensen, value for money.

Onze vloer werd wat zanderig; een bezem, stoffer en blik zou handig zijn geweest zodat je zelf de boel netjes kunt houden…

The location near the beach is wonderfull.

hotel is very nearby the beach. Elena was very helpfull about everything. Eventhough it is small enterprice hotel she made small gestures to make customers happy, to illustrate there was bananas, water, tooth brush and paste kit even lots of 5star hotels dont do :) Hotel is super cosy. Destination, Trincomalee, is cosy and vibe is super matching.

位置特别好，走两三分钟就能到海滩，周边有超市和很多餐馆。房间设施很完善，布置得很别致精巧，房间里面香喷喷的。Elena特别特别好，好热情，招待十分周到，让我有宾至如归的体验。猫猫狗狗也很乖。如果对亭可马里没有什么旅游计划的话，elena也会帮忙介绍一些出游项目，并帮忙预定安排。我真的好喜欢这里

Great place to stay in Uppaveli. Close to the beach, close to the Main Street and some good local restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Elena and her staff are friendly and welcoming.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Die Einrichtung ist sehr liebevoll und alles ist jederzeit sehr sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der wunderschöne Strand ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar und das Personal war super Aufmerksam und sehr sehr freundlich.

Die Dusche ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber völlig ausreichend.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und die Ausstattung ordentlich. Elena und ihre ladies haben sich gut um uns gekümmert und uns bei der Suche nach guten Angeboten für Pigeon Island sowie Flughafentransfer unterstützt :) Der Strand ist fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, dies gilt auch für Restaurants, ATMs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Klare Empfehlung unsererseits!

Lediglich der Wasserdruck war manchmal gering, das ist aber nicht untypisch für die Unterkünfte hier.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt um zwei Nächte verlängert. Die Lage zum Strand ist einfach top. Direkt am Strand stehen Gratis Liegen zur Verfügung. Elena hat eine kleine grüne Oase geschaffen, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Sie hat uns Ausflüge sowie Fahrer organisiert. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen, sie wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben. Strand, Bars, Supermärkte alles easy zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Elena ist das Herzstück der Anlage und immer sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Anlage ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand und Restaurants, was für mich besonders wichtig war, da ich zum Tauchen dort war. Sie organisiert schnell und unkompliziert einen Roller und so war ich flexibel und selbstständig um auf Erkundung zu gehen. Ich mag es sehr, wenn ich mich für mich auch draussen hinsetzen kann und fand das Zimmer und Sitzgelegenheit sehr schön. Ich habe mich dort so wohl gefühlt, dass ich nun spontan nochmals hinfahre und wieder bei Elena bleiben werde.

No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms

The room was by far the most beautifully furnished one I have experienced in Sri Lanka in my budget category so far — and I have now been travelling through Sri Lanka for about half a year. I especially liked the thick duvet; it almost felt like being at home. What deserves special mention is the care and honesty of the owner. Only late in the evening after my departure did I realize that I had forgotten a small bag with money in the room. I contacted Elena, the bag was found, and I was able to pick it up again after another five-hour journey. I would like to express my sincere thanks for that once more.

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt incredibly comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff was warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect — peaceful yet convenient to explore nearby attractions. The food, ambience, and overall experience exceeded expectations. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making the stay feel special and memorable. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Das die Liebe Pria für mich sehr lecker gekocht hat. Die Matratze war gut.

Es ist alles ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, von daher etwas abgelebt. Leider auch keine komfortablen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Es gab kein selbstverständliches Wasser, was ich bis jetzt, die letzten 3 Wochen reisen, immer umsonst dazu bekam.

Rustig, goede locatie, lekker ontbijt, lieve dieren

The accommodation was clean and bright. It had a nice hot shower although this did wet the bathroom floor when used. We removed the duvet from the cover in order to sleep at night without the air-conditioning on just using the fan which was a win-win for a peaceful night and the environment! The apartment had a porch with comfortable furniture and was surrounded by greenery so we had birds, birdsong, squirrels but also some mosquitoes! The accommodation was within an easy walk of the main road which had a supermarket, bakery and fruit and veg shop. It was also a short walk from the beach where we had free use of the sun lounges at Hawaii. We had very good meals out in the evening at both Hawaii and Blue Sands where they had tables on the beach in the breeze keeping us cool as well as the insects away. Elena was fantastic and helpful with everything.

It would've been really nice to have a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool and make food last a little bit longer.

Tout...L'accueil, la disponibilité, la gentillesse, le professionnalisme, et j'en oublie...d'Elena, notre hôte. Elle assure pour ses clients du matin au soir, c'est du jamais-vu...! La chambre, superbe...aménagée au raffinement, même les fresques florales sur les murs peintes par ses soins. Des petites attentions partout, le sac de plage avec ses serviettes, le petit meuble dans la salle de bains en rotin avec les minis serviettes, le savon liquide... et tout cela plein de couleurs délicatement choisies...un vrai plaisir. Petits déjeuners proposés très variés. Un magnifique jardin arboré avec de l'ombre partout et allées entretenues tous les matins. Ne passez pas à côté de ce petit bijou à 150m de la plage par un petit chemin sablonneux. Nous avons adoré Elena et son charmant hôtel.

There was no ventilation in the bathroom. It was advertised as having a pool but the pool wasn’t available and it wasn’t safe to swim in the sea in February - wrong season.

This hotel is an excellent choice! Small hotel (about 5 rooms) with beautiful garden. It has a very good location, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and impressively clean (something unusual in Sri Lanka)). The breakfast was pretty big and tasty. Our host, Elena, was friendly and helped us arrange a sightseeing tour and transfer at a great price. Highly recommended!

Особая благодарность Елене, хозяйке отеля, которая сделала все возможное, чтобы мы почувствовали себя желанными гостями! Она была очень доброй, внимательной и готовой помочь нам во всем, что нам было нужно. Она помогла нам с арендой байка и стиркой, что значительно облегчило наше пребывание. Очень рекомендую этот отель. Отличное расположение, пляж, магазины, кафе, все в шаговой доступности. Номера очень уютные, со вкусом, по домашнему, все очень чисто. Уборку производят ежедневно . Утром вкусный завтрак. Хозяйка Елена, русская женщина, очень внимательная, доброжелательная. Оперативно решает все вопросы, рассказывает, советует, помогает во всем. Организовывает трансфер, экскурсии. Чувствуется, что бизнес строит с душой, все продумано до мелочей и создано с теплом!

The perfect place for a stay in Trincomalee at the beach. It’s only a few steps away. The rooms are individually decorated beautifully and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and Elena is so sweet and helpful, she kept asking us daily if all was OK and if we need anything. The breakfast was very good also. Everything was perfect.

Elena Garden Hotel is a great place to stay in Sri Lanka. The impressions were only positive thanks to the caring hostess, who tries to make her guests' stay as comfortable as possible. Szukaliśmy noclegu tylko z klimatyzacją, co przekłada się na wyższą cenę na Sri Lance, niestety w naszym pokoju nie działała prawidłowo. Powiadomiliśmy o tym panią gospodarz od rana przy pierwszej okazji i sprowadziła fachowca. Musieliśmy zostawić pokój z naszymi rzeczami otwarty gdyż mieliśmy zaplanowany poranek. Po powrocie nadal nie działała i po wzięciu prysznica zostaliśmy poproszeni o poczekanie na zewnątrz żeby fachowiec mógł to naprawić. Czekaliśmy 2h na zewnątrz po czym okazało sie ze fachowiec jakis czas temu pojechał po narzędzia, ale nikt nas nie poinformował. Ostatecznie wrócił po jakimś czasie i naprawiał klimatyzację w pokoju sąsiadującym gdzie nie było jeszcze gości. Później miał zabrać sie za nasz i znow zmuszeni byliśmy opuścić pokój. Po powrocie okazało sie ze nic nie zostało naprawione! Nie dostaliśmy żadnej propozycji zamiany pokoju przez niedogodności czy rabatu. O godzinie 20 zmuszeni byliśmy spakować sie i znaleźć nowe miejsce bo nie chcieliśmy w takich warunkach spędzać kolejnej nieprzespanej nocy. Zapłaciliśmy tylko za 1 nocleg, ale w tym nie mieliśmy sprawnej klimatyzacji oraz byliśmy zmuszeni opuszczać pokój zostawiając nasze prywatne rzeczy wewnątrz i nie mogąc z niego swobodnie korzystać. Poinformowaliśmy panią gospodarz, która udawała że nie rozumie nagle angielskiego i nie wie o co nam chodzi, że napiszemy opinię, co spowodowało, że spróbowała ona na bookingu zrobić anulowanie naszej rezerwacji, tak jak gdyby nigdy nas tam nie było i nie mogli wystawić opinii. Dla większości osób pewnie nocleg był bezproblemowy, lecz gdy problemy sie pojawią trudno liczyć na uczciwość gospodyni.

Good location between the main road and the beach. Rooms OK for the price. It was practical and served its purpose as a base for 4 days.

it didn't feel very Sri Lankan, probably because Elena is Russian. Sri Lankan breakfasts weren't on offer, which for me was not a problem as I prefer to eat out. However, Elena seemed a bit put out that I chose to eat elsewhere. Also, she had rather loud music playing most of the time, when the place has a kind of laid-back vibe to it.

Our vacation on Sri Lanka was a real discovery thanks to the magical place-the Elena Garden Resort hotel-resort. Hotel con muy buena ubicación, a 2 minutos de playa y el personal muy agradable y muy atento. Incluso ofrecen toallas para la playa y paraguas por si llueve.

Las almohadas son un poco incómodas y no tenían botellas de agua, en general. Tampoco hay porta maletas.

La posizione vicinissima ad un tratto molto bello e servito della spiaggia di Uppuveli. Lo staff molto gentile e disponibile. La stanza pulita ed accogliente. Perfetto per qualche giorno al mare.

Gli ambienti esterni sarebbero da riordinare ma per lo più il tempo lo si trascorre in spiaggia quindi non è così importante

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut gelegen, die Ausstattung und das Hotelzimmer sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Elena hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und war immer zur Stelle. Was noch sehr schön war war die Terrasse mit der Hängematte und das viele Grün vor dem Zimmer.

Les chambres sont propres et conformes à la description avec quelques rangements . La terrasse individuelle devant la chambre avec de belles plantes vertes est très agréable. L'emplacement est super proche d'une plage aménagée (bar/restaurant/transats) La climatisation fonctionne très bien Elena est disponible et très serviable. Serviettes de toilette et serviettes de plage fournies, c'est top.

Hormis les chambres qui sont bien entretenues, le reste de l'hôtel est à l'abandon. C'est dommage car il y aurait peut a faire pour que tout soit joli est agréable. Quand on arrive devant le portail on se demande où on va atterrir... On aurait aimé que Elena nous disent (sans qu'on lui demande) les services qu'elle propose (location de scooter par exemple) car nous en avons loué un ailleurs... Ce qui est dommage C'est noté sur un panneau à la réception mais on l'a pas vu... Faute peut-être au fait que se soit plus vraiment une réception mais un étendoir à linge... Je vous laisse regarder les photos ci-jointes. Ceci dit nous avons passé un bon moment chez Elena car nous avions besoin que de la chambre.

Prima kamer, goede airco, goed bed, goed ontbijt, klein stukje lopen naar een leuk strand met wat strandtentjes en duikscholen, Elena probeert je overal wel mee te helpen, en vraagt regelmatig of je tevreden bent!

Douche weinig waterdruk en kan wel wat aandacht gebruiken, oa lekkende wc bij het spoelen.

Elena has put much attention to detail. There are plenty of little added touches that make the room feel special. And you feel that you are staying in a little oasis. This place is very charming and a very short walk to the beach. I loved it here.

The rooms were clean and nice. Elena herself was friendly and helpful. For the price, you get a decent value in a hotel with good location. I would not stay more than two nights though.

Great spot, 2 min walk to the beach, lots of shade and trees in the communal areas, very scenic. Elena was the perfect hostess, v friendly, helpful and attentive. She organised some additional accommodation for us after we wanted to extend our stay. It's very clean, with Aircon, , nicely decorated, breakfast was well worth it. There is also a v nice bar restaurant on the beach with free sunbeds courtesy of Elena.

It was fabulous at Elena's stay. Since the numbers are so clean and cozy thought out before every little things, Elena also carries out to help with a transfer and it is very inexpensive you come here and absolutely do not think about anything, she will think about all trifles any whims. Any whims Elena is a very big well done I also want to add that it is very disappointing for Elena those people who put low points you don’t understand where you are going to see how much work is invested, she is constantly doing something in the garden. Elena made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. It had great a/c and a ceiling fan. Lovely towels both for the room and the beach. Even a beach bag which was handy. We had breakfast once and it was delicious, I'd recommend the porridge. At the beach restaurant at the bottom of the lane we were able to use the sunbeds free of charge. We also ate there. The food was good and service friendly and professional.

You have your own chairs but share the balcony with the neighbours room. Not that we sat out very often.

Everything on the coast knows Elena and speak only well of her, they say that she is strong and protects her guests as her children. I lived in this hotel and felt safe. This is the only hotel where I was able to get enough sleep, as well as on its territory there are beautiful and wonderful animals and Elena to take care of them, it all speaks of a person. Elena is a an amazing host! She was always available and took care of everything. She organized all of my activities (diving school, dolphin Tour and pigeon island) and transport to my bus. The accomodation was really clean and had a laundry service. I always ate breakfast there. It is also super close to the beach (4 mins) and ai could use the sunbeds of a Restaurant on the beach for free! So all in all great recommendation!

It was exactly what I expected and exactly what I wanted, something unique and different. A tropical beach garden vibe. There are only 5 units and so it was quiet. An older property that has been carefully renovated. The common area has a "beachcomber" feel, funky in a good way, with lots of plants and palms everywhere. Each unit has a covered terrace with chairs and a low table and is surrounded in greenery. I really liked the fact that the rooms are quirky and fun and refreshingly different from most accommodation. Only 1 small window in each unit but Elena has cleverly got around this by painting the walls bright white with colourful murals and linens and excellent lighting which made the whole room light and bright and full of colour. New floor tiles. The room had this unique fresh feel. There was ample furniture in the room to put things on. Fresh linens and plenty of towels. Strong fan and good A/C. The big bathroom had been modernised, and had both a cool shower and a hot shower with instant hot water and good water pressure. There was a small unit of shelves to put bathroom things on. Very clean. There is a small above ground plunge pool but it wasn't operating when I was there. But that doesn't matter at all as the ocean is only a stone's throw away. Plenty of parking for my motorbike. The property is safe & secure. Excellent location as it's a very short stroll to Upuvelli beach which is a wide beach with clean sand and a few cafes and restaurants. The beach slopes gently into the water, stays shallow for a little distance, and only had low waves which makes it ideal for families to swim in. Elena is very helpful and arranged snorkeling and an exceptional Ayurvedic massage, both at a discount. The property is quiet. I found the other guests friendly and Elena has created a happy, social place. No parties, no karaoke and so you can really relax here. It is an excellent price considering its proximity to the beach.

Stayed here with my adult daughter. The room was so nice. It was much bigger than in the photos on booking. Com. There was room on each side of the bed, the bed is not against the wall. Elena thought of all the little things that make a trip wonderful. She has an arrangement with a restaurant on the beach to use their sunbeds free of charge. Elena also provides beach towels, beach blankets and a beach bag to take all your items to the beach. There was a lovely patio outside with a table, chairs, clothes horse and a hammock. This was a lovely space looking at the beautiful garden. Elena was a fab host very helpful with bookings for activities and transport. Choose here for a fab stay we highly recommend this accommodation.

The property is very beautiful and green. Rooms are nicely designed and are clean. The owner is very caring and helpful - she can help to arrange anything from tuk tuk to excursions. The breakfast is very tasty - Pria is a wonderful cook. It was all very tasty and fresh. My favorite are Sri Lanka omelette and coconut milk porridge. Fruits and veggies were super fresh. I enjoyed staying here and I think it a great value for money.

Anyone looking for a little paradise to switch off is in the right place here, the hostess and her partner will make your visit unforgettable. They also have a real talent for organising any activities in the area. We booked a snorkelling and dolphin watching trip which even included whales. The staff were lovely. The breakfast and dinners were wonderful. The lady was a wonderful cook.

Elena and her staff are the loveliest people. They do all they can to help. And the cats and dogs are wonderful! I was there for six days and felt like I was leaving home when I eventually left! 10/10!.

Okay, a small thing - the wash basin wasn't great. The plug has seen better days! But it doesn't detract from the overall positive experience - not even a little!

Elena’s place is very comfortable, super clean, artistic with lots of beautiful plants. If anything is bothering you Elena is doing het very best to find a solution. She invested lots of love in this place. I certainly recommend
