Our front desk people were amazingly friendly and helpful. Great shuttle service to the port. The room was perfect. This place is a great location for walking to restaurants and shops.

There isn't anything I didn't like about this hotel. The people were great, facility was comfortable and clean, food was great and convenient, the shuttle to the port was timely and comfortable.

Staff were super helpful. Its one of the cleanest hotels Ive stayed in. Fabulous restaurants within 3 min walk.

Room was clean and air conditioned which was important to us breakfast was good, a nice selection. The staff was very attentive. They made sure we had anything that we could need. A nice welcome spritzer was a nice touch. We were able to walk a block to a pedestrian only street with many charming restaurants and bars.

Everything! The location is perfect, in the old town and near everything. The property is modern, clean, and comfortable. The best thing is the staff — they are so friendly, generous, and helpful! Anna and Johnny were delightful. They made us feel instantly welcome, provided great advice on places to eat and things to see and do. They also arranged our ground transportation from and to the airport, and to the cruise port. We would absolutely stay here again!

Location was in a street in the old part of town. Lovely breakfast and extremely attentive hosts. Room had everything we needed. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean.

There was nothing to dislike

The owners are very welcoming people. They offer a Welcome drink to guests at their Happy Hour daily from 4:30 to 5:30pm. Their Aperol Spritz was delicious and additional drinks were extremely reasonably priced. The bathroom was modern and the room was very clean. We stayed here one night before boarding our cruise ship and are glad we did. We were able to pay an additional 10 euros and get 2 free breakfasts on the day we began our cruise. I had asked for help in securing transport to get us to the cruise port. They graciously arranged a shuttle to take us right to the port for about 10 euros cash per person. I highly recommend this lovely property if you’re staying in Civitavecchia. P.S. There is a beach nearby. Also some fun rides if you’re traveling with children. Our grandkids loved them!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the entire experience was fantastic. The staff helped with transport as well.

It seemed like there were a couple of power outages when we were there. But it also seemed like it was the whole town, and not just the hotel. It was a great time, regardless.

This is an excellent hotel. We stayed for one night before embarking on a cruise. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning which was very welcome on such a hot day in August. The hosts were friendly, kind and accommodating. There are a few nice restaurants nearby and it is close to the cruise terminal making it the perfect place to stay in Civitavecchia. While we were there, my husband left his wallet in the room. The hotel contacted me to say that they had found it and arranged an airport transfer for us, picking up the wallet on route. They kept the wallet safe for us while we were away for which we can't thank them enough. If we stay in Civitavecchia again it will definitely be at Hotel Porto Di Roma.

It is a really well kept and modern hotel. From the outside it looks like an old building but from the inside it is really modern and has beautiful rooms. It is also very close to restaurants and bars and to the civitavecchia port.

Perfect overnight stay after the ferry We stayed at Hotel Porto Di Roma for one night after arriving by ferry, before continuing our trip the following morning, and it was exactly what we needed. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a great location in the city and within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants. It was wonderful to be able to go out for dinner and enjoy the area without having to drive again after a long day of traveling. The lady who welcomed us was especially kind, friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. A very pleasant and convenient stay, especially if you are arriving by ferry or stopping for a night before continuing your journey. Great location, wonderful hospitality and good value. We would happily stay here again.

The Hotel was absolutely sparkling clean. Our room (triple) was very well appointed and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed an evening cocktail and chatted with others. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was nice with cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, yogurt, lovely pastries and good coffee and more. You can walk to the free cruise shuttle stop. However, we decided to take the Hotel shuttle to the port. It was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful. Spotless and nothing too much bother fir them. Our son left an item and they sent a driver with it to us at no cost. Breakfast was great. We arranged transport from rome airport to them and then onward to our cruise ship . So easy.

We had a wonderful stay here recently. The room was large, by European standards, extremely clean, and quite comfortable. Yes, from the outside, one may question it, but once walking inside this is a great place to stay. Really what puts it over the top is the staff. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. It is also easy to walk to many destinations around town. I would certainly stay here again!

Although this looked a little tired outside, it was modern and clean inside. You could walk from the train station but it is very hot. The host spoke excellent English. The room was extremely clean with everything we needed for an overnight. Air con was amazing. Breakfast was very friendly and varied. The hotel runs a shuttle direct to the port terminal for cruisers for €10 each. We walked to the free shuttle which took leads than ten mins. An excellent hotel stay.

Everything! The Hotel Porto Di Roma was excellent making the city very walkable from their location. Though slightly small, the accommodations were great, including a powerful shower. The management and staff were very friendly and answered all our questions, especially a pizza place to visit once we arrived in the late afternoon to Civitavecchia. When we checked in, the manager immediately delivered the bags to our room on the second floor using their very small elevator. Breakfast was an assortment of fresh fruits, pastries, and eggs with meats and cheeses. The management made you feel very welcome and even gave me a t-shirt as a parting gift. You never see that at a Hyatt or Hilton. To say the least it was an excellent place to stay prior to our cruise.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night before boarding a cruise ship in June 2026. Hotel was fully refurbished like brand-new. Room was small but clean. Italian breakfast + Cappuccino was authentic. Hosts Anna and Giovanni were very friendly and thorough. When we arrived, Anna offered us a welcome drink (choice of orange juice, Aperol Spritz etc.) and called the shuttle to the cruise ship the next morning. Giovanni was very generous and offered us drinks from the minibar when he learned that a nearby restaurant didn't offer us a 5% discount for our dinner. A very authentic Italian small town atmosphere hotel and I highly recommend it!

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal, um vor einer Kreuzfahrt noch ein paar Tage in Civitavecchia zu verbringen. Das Hotel organisiert auch Shuttles. Die Ankunft ist unkompliziert dank der Beschreibung, wie alles im Hotel funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sauber und das ganze Hotel ist gepflegt. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants. Es gibt sehr gutes Frühstück und die Gastgeber sind toll.

Es gab überhaupt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hätte.

Absolutely beautiful hotel to stay at in Civitavecchia. We wanted to stay near the cruise port since we were headed out on a cruise and this hotel came highly recommended. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. I messaged with Anna several times before we arrived since we needed an early check-in as well as a shuttle to the cruise port. She was so communicative and kind throughout our communications. It was wonderful to meet the front desk team, and Anna, in person when we arrived. Our stay here could not have been better. It's also great to have so many fabulous restaurants within walking distance. Thank you to Hotel Porto Di Roma and their staff for a wonderful first stay in Italy!

Great location for a pre-cruise hotel, in walking distance to shops and restaurants and the port. We booked the hotel shuttle to the port and he drove us right to the door of the departure gate. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming!!
