staff are very helpful and kind, food is exceptionally good and all sourced from local suppliers. alot of history behind the hotel and it has a charm that you wouldn't see in big hotels.

Great staff and breakfast

A little noisy outside our room

Greeted by very helpful and friendly staff. Room was nicely decorated. Good shower and comfortable beds. We only had one night booked here and wished we could have stayed another. Enjoyed local Sunday night pub music. Convenient to the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands.

The room was too warm. Even with the fan which was provided and an open window, the room was warm.

Todo, la calma, la comodidad de las camas, la bañera, las toallas y albornoces super suaves. El bar y otras estancias del hotel como la biblioteca, nos salió un día muy malo de lluvia, pero por suerte el hotel se prestaba a estar en sus estancias super agradables tomando algo o leyendo. El desayuno a la carta estupendo!

The host was onsite and so very gracious and helpful. She seemed genuinely interested in our travels and was full of good tips. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was updated and nice and the shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was out of this world fantastic! Don’t skip it.

Can’t think of a thing! This was a great experience!

This is a beautiful older facility said in some lovely gardens. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. They offered dinner which was also excellent. My baked cake fish and my husband’s steak were perfectly cooked with delicious accompaniments. Highly recommend.

This is the surprise you wait for. A country hotel that just stands out. To the owners and staff I congratulate you. Meal at the restaurant, both dinner and breakfast was a delight. Didn't want to leave.,

Only a suggestion, strongly recommend with the changes in vehicle power that is happening. Put in some electric car charges.

Loved the place so much, it felt so homely. This is an old building and the decor was very fitting to this. The food was amazing, the staff were so lovely. Will definitely be back again. Just a side note with this being an old building there is no A/C but a fan is provided in the room. Will be recommending this place to everyone and anyone.

Great location for visiting The Burren and Cliffs of Moher

The breakfast was fabulous. They accommodated our early Doolin ferry and let us eat at 8:15 so we could head out with a full stomach. The banana bread and pancakes were exceptional. This place was very welcoming and we hope to go back again one day and stay longer to enjoy the food.

Very good meals and no problems to adapt with gluten-free options.

The breakfast was home cooked by an excellent chef. There was local produce, unique Irish soda bread, porridge, homemade muesli, jams, fish, eggs. Perfect for a person interested in fine, local cuisine. Not perfect for the safe diner

Spacious bedroom, luxuriously equipped, felt very much at home. Warm welcome, and a quick Guiness in the bar in front of the fire, before an exquisite meal in restaurant using the very best local produce, thoroughly enjoyable. Small enough to get to know the other guests. Loved our stay.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Martina Sheedy. De kamer was comfortabel. We hebben heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant van het hotel, dat met zo'n 9 à 10 tafels ook populair is bij de lokale bevolking. Het ontbijt is geweldig goed. Het is 20 minuten rijden naar de Cliffs of Moher. Houdt er rekening mee dat de langere klifwandelpaden gesloten kunnen zijn. Zorg dat je het vroege tijdslot online boekt (minder druk, minder duur). Het startpunt van de wandelpaden (dus niet het visitors centre) in Burren NP ligt op 30 minuten rijden. Burren Perfumery and Tea Room, op de weg terug, is pittoresk en je kunt er heerlijke broodjes en taart eten. Tot slot: de populaire Roadside Tavern ligt op 5 minuten lopen. Reserveer hier een tafel zeker in het weekend.

De badkamer is een klein beetje gedateerd maar heeft daardoor wel charme. Een kamer op de begane grond kan wat gehorig zijn wanneer de kamer boven je ook gasten heeft.

Sheedy's is a comfortable traditional hotel with large rooms and a staff eager to please. What made it special was the personal attention that the host gives to guests. She anticipates your needs and preferences, and tries to make you feel very welcome. Food was excellent. The location is a small town at the center of the Atlantic Coast tourist area that includes the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. The town is walkable and has a popular local tavern, also with excellent dining. There is a free bus to the most-important tourist spots, though I feel having a car makes other interesting areas accessible.

My only complaint was that my room had a desk that was not comfortable for work on the computer. It was a nice old-fashioned desk that was too high. There is no ATM in Lisdoonvarna, so get euros ahead of time.

It would be helpful to have large cups, or mugs, in the bedrooms for tea-drinkers. Little coffee cups don't work well.
