Dinner & breakfast were both very good. The breakfast was especially nice with wide selection including fresh fruit, omelets, pancakes, hot cereal & usual Irish breakfast option. The hotel ambience was very nice & cozy. Staff attentive too.
Wish hand lotion & wash cloths were provided. Also it would be nice to have more in the way of towel racks.
Food was excellent with a variety of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a table fan in the room was much appreciated as the weather seemed warm.
No easy parking and no elevator to get to the room. Breakfast room was very dark!
Great hotel with nice staff
All good
Central location comfy room and the most lovely young people working there

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff
Nothing not to like
Such a friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent food and drinks. Breakfast and service excellent.
Parking is a bit of a pain if in and out multiple times per day (@€3 a time in car park across street)
Warm welcome, good dinner and breakfast, central location. Staff were great!
Nothing really. When the window of R113 was open, there was some noise overnight from a fan in the kitchen, but it didn't spoil our stay!
Central and friendly
No lift
Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Great food also.
My room was looking out on the oil tank and it tended to be a little noisy in the night.
All in all very good, no complaints at all
Use of a lift if was fitted
Main Street location. Very friendly staff and quiet and comfortable room.
Nothing.
location was ok central
cleanness as on entering the room faced cobwebs noise from pubs across the street late at night .. breakfast was good but evening meal wasn’t up to a hotel standers
All good
The bed was disgraceful lumpy and dipped in the middle I woke up with a pain in my back
Character atmosphere with modern amenities. Good food and friendly service.
We liked everything. It was a lovely hotel.
Nothing
Breakfast was very tasty apart from the black pudding which was overcooked and greasy. Staff were very helpful
As above.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, food in the bar and the breakfast room was good quality and good choice.
Lots of stairs!
Hacia frío en la habitación
Good location Good breakfast
Bit noisy, as it’s on a Main Street and there were roadworks! Pricey for a one night stay
Central location, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made fresh and was lovely. I stayed a couple of weeks before Christmas and couldn’t resist the mince pies they had on the breakfast table.
Rooms were a little dated and one of the towels had a stain on it but I was staying alone so just used the other towel, I’m sure if I went to reception the friendly staff would have sorted the problem.
Location central in the town. Excellent food and amazing staff. All incredibly helpful.
Room decor is starting to look tired and the beds really need new mattresses. Mugs instead of small cups in the room would save bringing our own.
Lo mejor la ubicación y el personal
No había ascensor
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the door man who also took breakfast order.. a true Irish gentleman
Great breakfast, and a very comfortable bed. I had a great night's sleep of every night I stayed. I requested a bath and was given a room with a bath as requested.
I found it difficult to get parking and there were some broken tiles in the bathroom
Really enjoyed the pub/restaurant downstairs. Great food. Great room. All clean and even extra blankets for the cold. Had a lovely stay
Beautiful hotel with a really nice bar/pub with friendly people. Parking right across the street for only 3 euros on the exit of the carpark.
From the moment I walked in the staff were friendly, went to the room, everything there what you need, nice and clean, went into the Bar for a pint of Guinness, been a long time since I’ve had a true Irish Guinness with being an English guy… What a pint absolutely lovely, food was amazing - You have to try the steak burger - proper top draw … so will I salary again ? I not hope one day I’m passing through as “hell yeah” I’ll be calling in. Thank you to all the staff !!
Hotel is gorgeous, right in the centre of town , staff are friendly and helpful, our room was lovely, bed was super soft and comfortable. Great verity of breakfast, we also had dinner that evening, it was amazing
Didn't like that we had to leave , we'll definitely stay again
I had my first ever Blaa 😉
.everything I needed was at had ....and I didn't hate ask.
Reception manager and restaurant manager were extremely helpful and very pleasant. Couldn’t have been more helpful.
Location, food great and staff very accommodating and made us feel very welcomed
Bit tired, noises from the vent outside but not too disruptive and the bed was not to our taste, bit small and felt every movement.
Room was extremely hot no air-conditioning
Breakfast included. Help upstairs with luggage.
Smoke odour in room. Hard mattress.
The hotel is a delight. the staff are wonderful and could not be faulted. Our room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was slightly cramped, but usable. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of things on offer. The evening menu was equally as good.
There is no parking on site, but there is a town car park across the road where you can stay for 3 euros.
centrally located; popular with locals; outstanding breakfast
Room was comfortable, food was good Staff helpful
Nothing
Remarkable hotel in the heart of Carrick-on-Suir. Smooth check-in. Room was spotless with all necessities provided. Staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful, with a special mention to the bar staff. Check-out was just as smooth as check-in. I would highly recommend The Carraig Hotel.
The people were the best part; friendly and eager to help.Decent bar and great breakfast buffet!
The curiosity that is the up and down, around and around getting to your room with heavy suitcase that we've seen in a few older Irish inns/hotels.
Perfect location for the town and it was perfect for a family gathering. The breakfast included was fantastic. Really close to a lovely castle to visit.
The rooms are clean but dark probably need some updating we had a leak in our room so there was a damp smell but the staff gave a complementary drinks voucher to apologize. I feel the food and drink was overpriced for what it is in to comparison to other places in Ireland.
Some staff were friendly and obliging. Room was very clean.
Heat was on in the room almost all the time. No facility to reduce it or turn it off. Staff could not turn it off either. Room was uncomfortably hot. Breakfast was poor and dining room too dark.
Lovely staff, seemed a bit expensive compated with others. We cd hear the people next door hanging up their clothes and talking very clearly, but old properties are impossible to soundproof, so that is not a complaint
Friendly, excellent food
Very dated and aged
Great bar area, good selection of meals and snacks, excellent breakfast, staff that we dealt with were all lovely. Room spacious and had all we needed for an overnight stay (on a band tour).
We had to ask for the heating to be put on - it was on a timer, and the manager had forgotten to over-ride it, on what was a pretty cold day. This was dealt with very quickly, though.
Lovely hotel in the centre of town, friendly staff and really helpful, rooms are good, not big rooms but enough space for 2,quiet room even though we were overlooking the road.
Everybody was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. It was easy for where we were going. Will definitely be back.
Could not fault anything
The staff and people nearby were exceptionally friendly
Lovely old building with character, right in the middle of the town but still nice and quiet at night.Staff were great friendly and helpful.
very nice family run hotel very enjoyable stay
slightly pricey but we stayed new year’s eve which would explain why
I stayed there 3 or 4 times , we love the town , and the people
Great hotel in the centre of town
Everything was great
My second stay at the hotel and again really enjoyed it. There was a great atmosphere as a few functions were taking place. The bar was lively with a live act also. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, the young waitress lady was vey mannerly. Great location with parking across the road in a public car park for €3 on exit. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and freshly painted.
No complaints.
