Hotel familiar y encantador con extraordinarias vistas a los arrozales desde la terraza. Personal súper amable y servicial que te ayudan en todo. Nos gestionaron el safari a Yala y fue una experiencia inolvidable, además nos permitieron hacer el check out tarde para podernos duchar después del safari. Nos gestionaron el taxi a nuestro siguiente destino a muy buen precio. Nos prepararon comida y cena que estaba riquísima. Una experiencia fantástica.

Ha estat una estada fantàstica. Hem pogut gaudir de la zona perfectament des del Lavender Home, vam organitzar amb ells el Yala Safari i va ser tot molt puntual i ens van preparar un esmorzar ben bo per prendre al parc. També vam gaudir d'una estada tranquila a l'habitació que té un balcó comunitari amb vistes cap a un camp i des d'on un es pot relaxar a la tumbona. L'atenció va ser boníssima en tot moment, recomanem molt l'estada aquí per poder gaudir de la zona! Com estàvem dos dies, vam poder organitzar també amb ells per rentar la roba i ens va anar fantàstic!

Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr ruhigen, friedlichen Umgebung. Der perfekte Ort vor einer Yala-Safari, welche wir über das Hotel gebucht haben. Das Essen war absolut fantastisch. Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen.

Absolute beautiful property in a stunning location. The lady cooked for us on our first night and it was delicious. Excellent room, beautiful views, very quiet for a great nights sleep before a trip to Yala.

Nothing but you would need a driver to take you and pick you up as it’s a little off the beaten track.

The host was really friendly and helpful, she helped us book our safari which we loved! She also packed us a takeaway breakfast of some bread, egg, and fruits. The location was really good for doing the safari, just a short ~25-30 minute drive to the national park. It's a little bit out of the main town of Tissamaharama (about a 25 min walk or short tuk tuk). The owner helped us arrange a tuk tuk to go into Tissamaharama, which was great.

The room was adequate for one night but quite basic - there was a fridge in the room but it wasn't working or not plugged in anywhere (and there was nowhere obvious to plug it in). The air conditioning took a little while to cool the room down when it had been off for a while, but once it got going it was effective. The toilet didn't flush very well.

An amazing stay at Lavender Home Yala Safari! The environment was very comfortable, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged a great Yala Safari tour for me, which went very smoothly. Bonus points for the food—both lunch and dinner were delicious! Highly recommended if you are visiting Tissa.

Beautiful homestay that has an unobstructed view of the paddy fields and sunrise. Rooms are clean, spacious with all the basic amenities. Milanshi the host welcomed us with a big smile. She was helpful, very hospitable and made us dinner too. Definitely coming back to stay here longer. Thanks so much once again!

Very nice property with balcony looking over the rice fields. Located 15 minute walk from tissamaharama town centre. Very well presented property and gardens nicely lit at night. The owner was amazing. Very kind woman and went out of her way to make the stay exceptional. Provided taxi/tuk tuk services as required, helped book an excellent safari and provided delicious home cooked meals for a good price.

An absolutely unforgettable stay! The breakfast was amazing every morning — fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The views were honestly some of the best I’ve ever seen in my life, overlooking the beautiful Sri Lankan rice fields and creating a true paradise atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was the safari we did with them. It was truly one of the most incredible and highly recommended experiences ever! Everything was perfectly organized, and our guide was absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, making every moment unforgettable. Waking up surrounded by nature, listening to the peaceful sounds around us, and enjoying such breathtaking scenery made this stay truly magical. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique adventure and a perfect getaway!

The hotel is surrounded by green paddy fields, and the view of the countryside from the room was charming. The dinner prepared by the hotel was delicious. Since we went on the Yala Safari early the next morning, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast box for us.

The lighting in the room was a bit dim.

Grande chambre propre avec climatisation fonctionnelle et magnifique vie sur une rizière et lever de soleil. L'hôtesse est d'une grande gentillesse. Elle nous a organisé les safaris à Yala et Bundala. Les déjeuners Sri lankais étaient différents les trois matins (faut aimer le genre) avec une immense assiette de fruits très appréciée.

Les repas sont froids (pas la seule place au Sri Lanka avec des repas froids, je ne comprends pas pourquoi).

C'est plutot propre, le materiel est vieux mais c'est un tres bon rapport qualité prix. Le safari a était organisé avec eux, on a eut le chance car on a vu pleins d'animaux pendant le safari dont des leopards et des elephants mais le guide bien qu'adorable ne parlait que très peu anglais.

Le petit déjeuner du safari etait nul, il y avait quelques tartine avec seulement du beurre, 2 bananes, un peu d'ananas et 2 jus de fruit. C'etait le safari du matin donc on avait super faim, quelle déception de voir le peu qui etait fourni pour manger. La salle de bain est très vieille avec du materiel rouillé et un débit d'eau très faible mais pour le prix et une seule nuit c'est tres ok!

The views were gorgeous and the host was very helpful with booking our yala safari and explaining what bus to get to Ella and the time it departed.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, l’hébergement et magnifique, super propre et confortable! De plus, en sortant de la chambre, dans notre espace salon sur le balcon nous avions une vue magnifique sur les plantations de riz. Les hôtes sont vraiment attentionné. Mahesh nous a organisé un super safari avec un excellent chauffeur à très bon prix et Milshani s’est occupé de nous faire un petit déjeuner pique-nique pour le safari. Super service! Nous retournerons sans hésiter! Merci pour tout!

Super tolle Gastgeberin und die Unterkunft ist ebenfalls sehr schön mit tollem Blick auf Reisfelder. Das Essen ist super lecker. Die Betten bequem. Kann man nur empfehlen.

La vue, la propreté et la gentillesse du personnel

Il n’y avait pas de couette dans la chambre, juste un drap. et le prix des plats de leur restaurant est excessif pour une portion ridicule. C’était loin d’être le meilleur plat qu’on ait mangé au Sri Lanka pourtant nous adorons la nourriture de ce pays.. pour le reste c’était ok.

AU TOP ! 😊 Magnifique vue du balcon sur les rizières ! Deux lits doubles très confortables et possibilité de faire une machine à moindre coût. Logement propre, hôte très gentille et arrangeante. On peut aussi manger sur place, un vrai repas local !

Si je dois dire quelque chose, je dirai un peu excentré (15/20mins du centre ville et de l'arrêt de bus) mais la balade est très agréable au milieu des rizières et des lacs environnant. Nous avons eu une petite mésaventure avec notre Safari mais ce n'était pas la faute de l'hôte mais du prestataire (qui sera changé à l'avenir).

We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf. Onze kamer had een mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden. De hostess was erg lief en hielp ons met het regelen van de safari en transfers. Ook hebben we lekker gegeten bij de accomodatie. Een aanrader.

Our stay was very comfortable, with a balcony looking out over the rice fields, and the host was very attentive. She helped organise our safari trip to Yala National Park and also cooked us two delicious evening meals (up there with some of the best rice and curry we tried). Highly recommend

The view of the rice fields from the balcony was very nice. The host prepared a tasty Srilankan dinner for us and arranged a taxi to take us to our next destination.

The facilities are dated and require upgradation. The rooms are on the first floor and it is difficult for senior citizens to carry their luggage up the stairs. The bathroom door locked itself in the middle of the night.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht für den Besuch des Yala NP. Schönes gepflegtes Haus mit bequemen Betten und sehr großer Terrasse. Wir haben sehr leckeres Rice und Curry zu Abend gegessen. Der Gastgeber hat uns noch seinen selbst gemachten Büffeljoghurt serviert. Die Gastgeber versuchen den Gästen den Aufenthalt so gut wie möglich zu ermöglichen. Von der Terrasse kann man die Pfauen beobachten.

I stayed here for the Yala safari and had a very pleasant experience. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The lady who owns the property was very kind and helpful – even before my arrival, she contacted me to assist with organizing the safari tour. The safari itself was well-arranged: I was picked up in the morning and dropped back in the evening. For dinner, the property also has a restaurant where you can eat; I tried it and enjoyed the meal. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would recommend this place.

There were only a few small downsides: in the bathroom there was only one small bar of soap, with no shower gel provided – it would be nice to have shower gel available. A separate towel for hair would also be useful. Finally, some small insects entered the room, probably because the hotel is located in a natural area, so maybe something could be done to reduce this.

I proprietari ci hanno venduto ad un ottimo prezzo pietre preziose in collaborazione con venditori ufficiali e con garanzia allegata. Consiglio a tutti questa struttura e ringrazio i proprietari per l ospitalità.

Booked safari tour via hotel. Guide provided by Yala park left before entered the park. Did not see any leopard, although we asked driver to go to Elephant Rock as there was a leopard with babies, driver stayed within bushes. We assume there is an agreement between park rangers and non park rangers.

Lo único que les falta sería una piscina! Hace mucho calor en esa zona, si tuvieran piscina ya sería perfecto!

La amabilidad del personal. Te gestionan el safari y preparan el desayuno para llevar, tambien cena si necesitas. El pueblo está a unos 20minutos caminando. Te ofrecen su scooter si la necesitas.

Our stay at lavender home was fantastic, it is homely, comfortable and the hospitality was out of this world. The rooms are clean and the AC is cold so after a humid day it was much needed. We had our 2 year old with us and the hosts were so friendly and gracious with him that he felt right at home in their arms! The seating area overlooking the rice paddy was ideallic and we spent many hours relaxing on the balcony. We got given local fruit and king coconuts to try. We had dinner at the property each night and the fresh Sri Lankan curries were fantastic! They also arranged a safari to Yala national park, it was well organised and included a packed breakfast and lunch. We definitely recommend staying at lavender home if you are planning on visiting Tissa.

We had a minor issue with our AC not working and then rattling however this was fixed immediately.

Alojamiento calidad-precio excelente y con unas vistas preciosas. Nos ayudaron en la gestión del safari, con picnic riquísimo incluido. También nos consiguieron un tuk tuk para alquilar en unos minutos. Camas cómodas y aire acondicionado.

Très propre, endroit joli avec un personnel à l'écoute et sympathique on avait un Safari programmé très tôt le matin, ils ont eu la gentillesse de se lever avant nous pour nous préparer le petit déjeuner pour le prendre avec nous.

The breakfast was so tasty, as was the dinner. The host is an amazing chef. We had a range of items such as egg hoppers, mung beans, pumpkin curry, beetroot, fish curry etc. The hosts were so warm and welcoming. I was amazed at the view of the rice fields, it was so gorgeous. We really enjoyed our stay. We felt safe, we were looked after and the safari arrangement was organised and perfect. We managed to see sloth bears and leopards!

Prostorný a čistý pokoj. Majitelé nám zařídili ranní safari do NP Yala. Součástí byla i snídaně na cestu, ale doporučuji si vzít ještě jídlo navíc. Check out je automaticky prodloužený do jedné hodiny, takže i po ranním safari je stále možnost se v klidu vysprchovat a sbalit věci.

La villa si trova a pochi km dal centro città ed è immersa nel verde delle risaie, banani e palme. Gli host sono davvero gentili e disponibili; su richiesta possono anche organizzare trasferimenti e safari per Yala National Park, tutto ad un buon prezzo. Troverete camere pulite e spaziose; ottima colazione. Davvero consigliato

Very good people, nice breakfast, nice rice field view, acceptable room , good for it's price. They also prepared us our breakfast after our return from the safari and let us take a shower and have a late checkout.

No shoap, room's bathroom could be better and the bed could be better. Nevertheless it was a pleasant stay. Location is a bit outside of town, but we didn't care because we only stayed for the safari in Yala and then left.

This homestay is run by an incredibly kind and welcoming couple. The location is peaceful, right next to a rice field, but still within walking distance to Tissa town. The room was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. We had a lovely homemade dinner and breakfast which was really delicious. A real highlight was that they generously let us use their scooter for free, (even though we had little experience riding one)!

The bathroom has a wet-room style shower, and the shower rail could use an update – but that’s just a small detail and wouldn’t stop us from coming back!

The hosts were very welcoming (husband and wife) and great at communication. They messaged me asking what time we would be there for check in and also if we would like dinner to be arranged. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner with a smile and a tray of fresh tea. The views from the balcony were beautiful overlooking the rice paddy. It was very relaxing sitting there with a cup of tea. Excellent price and great value for money. The room was clean and comfortable, enough towels for our family of 5 which wasn't the case in other places we had stayed. Room was basic but clean you get what you pay for. The dinner was freshly prepared traditional Sri Lankan food and was delicious! We even got a dessert included. The owner even went on his motorbike to get my son fresh watermelon so sweet. We had a safari in the early morning so woke at 4am and the owner had our breakfast prepared in a basket to take with us, it was plentiful and fresh. They offered us late check out which was greatly recieved so we could shower and relax after the safari before moving onto our next destination. I would highly recommend this stay, everything was great and the surroundings are beautiful. The host was telling me he has a new pizza restaurant venture I wish him luck as I am sure it will be great along with his home. Thanks again.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff who went above and beyond for us. The food (breakfast and home cooked dinner) was exceptional. The balcony views are stunning, peaceful and relaxing.

The tap on the shower kept falling off and the light came on and off but wasn’t a huge problem!
