THE HORIZON

The host was understanding and flexible when we explained the problem with the room. Although we had originally booked 2 nights and stayed for only one, he offered us a choice of compensation for the unused night which we used as a credit towards a spa treatment onsite. Really enjoyed the massage. The breakfast deserves a special mention. For 50 MAD per person, it is excellent value: very good coffee, fresh orange juice, delicious pancakes and pastries, plus eggs prepared according to your preference. The lady preparing the breakfast was particularly lovely and welcoming. The room has its own private bathroom/toilet, which is a plus (other rooms on the floor have only a shared bathroom & toilet).

The main issue for us was the very poor sound insulation. Although the windows are double-glazed, they provide very little reduction in outside noise. Whether the windows were open or closed made surprisingly little difference. Our room was at the back of the building, facing a square with a mosque only around 50m away. Given the regular calls to prayer, combined with the fact that Taghazout is a lively place where people and restaurants stay active until around 1 a.m. or later, the nighttime noise had a significant impact on our sleep. We were unable to fall asleep until around 5:30 a.m. The lack of air conditioning is not necessarily a problem by itself, but there was not even a fan. The rooms with private bathrooms are at the back of the building (which is not on the seafront) so not particularly well ventilated, and the room became very hot at night. This meant we had to choose between heat with the windows closed and significant noise with them open — while the double glazing did very little to solve the problem. The room is also rather small, with limited storage space for luggage and clothes (no hangers). Some basic amenities were missing, including a kettle, cups, toothbrush holder, shampoo and shower gel. Overall, we appreciated the host’s flexibility, the excellent breakfast and the massage, but the combination of poor sound insulation and inadequate ventilation made it difficult for us to get a good night’s sleep. If you are a light sleeper, we would recommend taking these points into consideration before booking.

The rooftop was a great escape from the buzz of the town

With it having such a great location you are in close proximity to all the noise the town has to offer.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, haben eine Rundtour erhalten vom Hotel. Die Terasse ist wunderschön mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Zimmer war klein aber extrem sauber. Wir waren in ca. 8 hotel/Riad in Marokko, The Horizon hat uns definitiv am besten gefallen.

Il n'y a pas de parking, j'ai galèrer pendant des Heures pour déposer ma voiture. La personne de l'accueil était entrain de dormir a 9h30 quand on était entrain de sortir, il était assez désagréable vu qu'on l'a réveillé mais on était obligés parcequ'il fallait rendre les clés avant de partir!

Très bon séjour à The Horizon à Taghazout ! 🌊 L’endroit est très agréable, avec une superbe terrasse et une belle vue. L’ambiance est calme et parfaite pour profiter de Taghazout. Le personnel était accueillant et sympathique. Nous avons passé deux très bonnes nuits, je recommande !

De locatie was perfect, middenin het centrum/main street. Het personeel was super vriendelijk. Je krijgt korting bij de hammam/spa/massage als je er verblijft. De surflessen waren fantastisch. Ismail is een super goede surfleraar waar ik veel heb geleerd!!! Het hotel is mega schoon, wordt meerdere keren per dag schoongemaakt, dus het delen van douche en toilet is helemaal niet vervelend.

The staff were amazing, so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The building is beautiful and very well maintained and located, a short walk from everything in Taghazout. The rooftop is wonderful and the breakfast and massages are great value.

Pas le choix que de rester les établissements alentours complets, quel contrôle de Booking ? Sanitaires sales, établissement très bruyant. Fenêtres fermées ou pas c est pareil.

We stayed at The Horizon for a week with our two adult children and had a wonderful family holiday in Taghazout. The hotel is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and perfectly located in the centre of town close to restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. What really made our stay exceptional were the people. We booked surfing and day trips through the hotel with the amazing Ismail, who organised everything perfectly - wetsuits, boards, transport, packed lunches always timing trips around the best conditions. He was a fantastic instructor and genuinely fun, kind company. Highlights included a trip to Tiznit with a beachside tuna BBQ, and a visit to Paradise Valley in the Atlas Mountains. Jamal and the rest of the hotel staff were equally lovely and made us feel completely at home. We'd highly recommend The Horizon and its wonderful team. Taghazout was the perfect destination for adventure and quality time with our adult children.

On aurait aimé que quelqu’un passe nettoyer la chambre parce que y avait trop sable ou au moins qu’on nous fournissent les matériaux pour nettoyer nous meme. On aurait également aimé avoir un sèche linge pour les vêtements mouillées

What a view...from the room I saw the little square who connects the street in Thagazout. From the rooftop you have an amazing view on the sea and the rooftops of thagazout itself. Sometimes the streets are a little bit noisy, but on the terrace you find rest. Toilets and douches are shared, but constantly cleaned and always dry and proper. The 'basic breakfast' is more than basic and offers a lot of dood and drinks, perfect to start thé day. The employees are very friendly and guestfree. One evening around thé night a got even a thee from the kindly worker there while reading a book. Absolute perfection.

If you are big, don't forget to take a double bed, otherwise it will je a little bit to smalle I guess.

L'emplacement est idéal en plein cœur de Taghazout. Le rooftop est superbe, on voit la mer au loin. La chambre est propre.

Le bruit! Très très bruyant, on entend tout ce qu'il se passe dehors + les voisins le matin (les enfants qui criaient dans les couloirs à 7h du matin : il serait bien que le personnel soit vigilants à ce genre de comportement) Pas de produits fournis (savon) dans la salle de bain.

Great location in centre of village - very very clean, comfy beds ( dressed in the cutest Pom Pom blankets), lovely little rooftop terrace. Hairdryer on request and great communication, helpfulness and smileyness from all staff. Arranged good value airport transfer.

For the price nothing we didn’t like -I thought I’d booked an en-suite room and I hadn’t but it made no difference - the loo and shower ( separate) were v close to the room and spotless and cleaned all the time. Need to bring all own toiletries.

J’ai réservé une chambre pour faisant bien attention de vérifier si c’était pas stipulé qu’il y avait des salles de bains communes après ma réservation, le propriétaire m’a envoyé un message sur WhatsApp pour me parler de l’heure d’arrivée du lit et du hammam. Une fois arrivée sur place à ma grande surprise, on me dit que c’est des salles de bain communes alors que je suis avec Ma Femme et que c’est soi-disant écrit sur Booking alors que ça ne l’est pas. j’appelle le propriétaire pour m’expliquer avec lui, il me dit que je ne suis pas prioritaire car j’ai réservé la chambre mais je n’ai pas payé en ligne. Donc ma chambre a été vendue avant mon arrivée. Ensuite, le propriétaire m’a littéralement raccroché au nez en me laissant sans hôtel à 17h.

Nagyon jo a szallas helyszine, kedves szemelyzet. Csodas a panorama a teraszrol. Ha jo ar - ertek aranyu szallast keresel ez az, nagyon jo panoramaval, a varos kozepen.

Szamomra nem volt egyertelmu, de nincs a szobahoz sajat furdoszoba, csak kozos van. Rettento hangos a ter, ahova a szobank ablaka nyilt, kb. hajnal kettoig, ez van akit zavar. Sajnos a mi agynemunk nem volt kivasalva (vagy lecserelve…), es a furdoben bogarak voltak.

The Horizon ligt zeer centraal. Dat heeft als voordeel dat alles erg dichtbij is, maar het nadeel is dat het zeer rumoerig is. Het is wel netjes en schoon.

De kamers zijn zeer klein, de badkamer functioneel maar bijvoorbeeld wel met een gescheurd douchegordijn, geen shamppo of duchegel, wel voldoende toiletpapier. Het dakterras is niet heel erg gezellig dus voor ontbijt zijn wij uitgeweken naar leukere plekjes in de nabijheid.

Human quality and kindness of the personel, the breakfast with the views and how clean it was.

Sehr freundliches Personal sehr hilfsbereit.. Sehr sauber.. Wir hatten eine Dusche und separat ein WC mit zwei Zimmern geteilt… Dieses wurde jeden Tag mehrere Male geputzt. Die Lage war super zentral, um die Ecke am Meer und am Markt mit den vielen Restaurants am Strand.. Auch der Taxi Platz und Busplatz direkt gegenüber vom Hotel. Das Zimmer war klein, aber wir konnten zu zweit alles gut und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Localisation

Nous avions demandé un grand lit double, nous avons eu 2 lit simples mis côte à côte, EXTRÊMEMENT BRUYANT (impossible de dormir avant très tard, le vitrage n’occulte en rien, c’est comme si nous étions dehors) la chambre était extrêmement petite (pas possible de se croiser), seulement 1 table de nuit… pas confortable

Idéalement situé entre les commerces et la plage. L’établissement est propre, accueillant. L’équipe est top. Gros plus: vue incroyable sur le roof top pour vos fin de journée Nous avons passé un super séjour nous recommandons

It’s a beautiful Riad in the city centre. Huge breakfast! Also staffmember Aziz was super nice helping us with everything. Very friendly staff and nice Hammam!

Some roooms can be small (the bed. right next to a wall, as shown on pictures). If you are handicapped they might be hard to access. But otherwise totally fine

I wasn’t put in a room with ocean view or balcony like the photos suggested, it can be quite noisy next to the mosque 4 am call and dogs outside, but other than that it’s not something you can control, so lovely stay

Just stayed one night. Hotel is in centre of town. Functional, clean, modern, beds were good. But felt it lacked the charm of other places in town. Was Ok for our stay on last night before flaying out, ( we moved as our previous place was booked up). Close to main square, food market etc;

We were on lower floor, and on side of building next to town so restaurants outside are noisy until late, but as it's a booze free town wasn't as noisy as it could have been.

Fantastisk bra läge, precis allt runt knuten. Underbar terass med enastående utsikt, sköna sängar och kuddar, trevlig personal. Hörde böneutropare ibland, lite mer under ramadan, men inte störande - trots extremt ljudkänslig. Sov som ett barn med öronproppar! Skulle gärna bo här igen.

Stod inte tydligt att vi skulle få delat badrum, hade inte bokat om vi vetat det. Men..det var bara ett rum vi delade med och det blev aldrig något problem :)

Läget var mycket bra och även takterrassen. Men det absolut bästa med horizon var alla som jobbade. Otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma!

Lovely hotel very nice and clean. Loved the rooftop!! Everything is on your doorstep, mini markets, food places, pharmacy. Defo recommend and will surely return again. Thanks to the staff. Only issue is there are no money exchange places so best to exchange at the airport.

Iedereen was ontzettend aardig, massage top, receptie personeel staan continue klaar. Surf instructeur erg goed. Ontbijt was goed en de ontbijt juffrouw was ook super vriendelijk.

Great location just off the main street and taxi hub. Lovely little hotel/spa, very friendly staff who were a great help with excursions, taxis and general information about Taghazout and the area, they were awesome. My wife enjoyed an hour Berber massage and said it was nice and strong, just what she needed. Breakfast was great, the terrace is a perfect place to chill out with a book.

Nothing, but if you want to be picky and just to warn others it can be a little noisy as you are in the centre but you will hear the call to prayer anywhere you stay so that wasn’t a problem for us

Son emplacement au centre de Taghazout et la possibilité de commander un massage sur place. Le personnel et l’accueil est agréable.

Ma chambre située au rée de chaussée ( chambre 1) est très bruyante de par sa proximité avec l’accueil et la porte d’entrée. On entend tout, un conseil : ne prenez pas cette chambre. De plus la salle de bain est à l’extérieur de la chambre. Certes, cela est mentionné lors de la réservation mais on ne s’attend pas à se qu’elle soit si près de l’accueil de la clientèle.il y a un rideau mais à certaines heures pour sortir prendre une douche ce n’est pas merveilleux.

The people were very friendly and helpful. The location is very central, so you have the beach and all the restaurants within walking distance. The rooms and shower were clean. There is a nice roof terrace.

The room had no AC, and closing all windows at night felt claustrophobic and hot. There is a mosque right across the street, so we heard their singing at 5 am and then at 7 am, very loud. On top of that, you can hear all the motorcycles driving through the adjacent little street, people talking, and the cars until 1 am or so. So we didn't sleep at all for two nights. The rooms were very basic; they had no character like the other places we stayed in Morocco. So the price was too expensive in our opinion. I'd suggest that the owner change the bathroom curtain as well.

I like the location. Very close to the ocean ! Rooftop is very beautiful with a great view. There was a problem with hot water. But the stuff directly join to fix the problem. Good vibes.

Het was schoon.

Het was er verstikkend heet geen airco of ventilator aanwezig. De douche had geen warm water en de waterdruk van de douche viel regelmatig weg.
