Reviewed Sep 2, 2026The receptionist in the night was really kind and supportive. The check in process with the receptionist was so easy, that was a nice start in the vacation. We used the hotel for one night stay to connect to the ferry, we only had the expecting for an clean stay and no extras. The expectation was met. The hotel room is used, but tidy and clean. There was no safe, but for just on night sleeping also not needed. Nice was the transfer from the hotel to the ferry, it was organised and provided by the hotel

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026We stayed here for one night only, as we arrived at 10 pm and left at 10 am the next day. We appreciated the shuttle to the pier. However, the hotel is very modest, the room tiny and we would probably never have stayed there if we didn’t need the accommodation before leaving to Tioman island.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Handy for bus station, and we were given a free lift to the ferry for Tioman. Overall a good budget hotel, clean, beds comfy, etc.
Only downside was the AC in our room was very poor, barely functioned. But cheap hotel and this was only drawback.

Deluxe Doppelzimmer – leider absolut enttäuschend Die Zustände im Zimmer waren katastrophal: Schimmel an den Wänden, stark abgenutzte Einrichtung und ein wirklich ekelhaftes Bad. Für 30 € pro Nacht haben wir in Malaysia bereits deutlich besser gewohnt. Auch der Service war leider eher bescheiden bis unfreundlich. Ich kann das eigentlich gar nicht in Worte fassen – schaut euch einfach die Bilder vom Zimmer an. Für uns definitiv keine Empfehlung.

Es ist alles feucht und riecht stark nach Reiniger. Keiner von uns wollte hier duschen oder sich länger als nötig im Zimmer und /oder Bad aufhalten.

Very run down, bit smelly, really needs painting. I guess we should have known as the price was low. If you are going to an island from here I suggest you adk someone where you are going for a hotel recommendation, I wish we had.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026MG Hotel is very near to the Mersing Bus Terminal. It's perfect to those who reach Mersing in the evening or late at night. It is just walking distance from the bus terminal. It's a perfect spot to rest for a night before taking the ferry to Tioman Island on the next day. Plus, MG Hotel provides shuttle trasportation from the hotel to the jetty

We had quite a handful of heavy luggages to carry all the way by foot to the mersing jetty.although the hotel provides free transport to jetty, we were just dont want to risk missing our 7.30am departure.when were ready for check out at 6am, the front desk guy is still sleeping on the couch and we dont want to wake him up

Reviewed May 13, 2026Close to town. We stayed twice on our way to and from Tioman Island. We left our suitcases there. The first night we stayed the room was small and uncomfortable on our way back the room was superb. Large, comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and, as there are so few hotels in Mersing, as close to just about the only pub that served beer (something 48) and good food to boot.
It was a simple stopover so suited us and the price was low.

Автобусный терминал очень близко (нас автобус высадил почему-то у паромного терминала, но дошли очень быстро тоже).

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Great location of you're getting the ferry to Tioman Island. It's only a 10 minute walk away from the Jetty. I believe they also offer a shuttle. The room was well sized and clean. Lots of restaurants around and a launderette across the street.
