Lunheim in Geiranger

The view of the fjords was spectacular in the shared dining area ! The room had plenty of space , closet space with hangers . Breakfast at a neighboring hotel that was excellent ( voucher provided by owner)

Although clean , the linens looked worn ( the comforter was a dingy white) , and the room had a musty smell. Apparently the hotel raised the rates for the breakfast since we booked the room ( 4 months prior) and to our surprise the added cost was passed to us when we arrived .

El alojamiento no cumplía la descripción por que no tenia vista al mar, tal como estaba contratado. El alojamiento estaba en una planta baja con muchísima humedad y no correspondía con las fotografías del anuncio. Sospecho que ese alojamiento no estaba ofertado porque no aparece en el anuncio. Además, el señor que nos recibió nos quiso chantajear ofreciéndome el alojamiento que había contratado (con vistas al mar) previo pago de 10 EUR lo cual no acepté. El baño no estaba en el alojamiento sino que había que ir al exterior.

Per l'appartamento, al momento della prenotazione, non è visibile che il bagno è esterno a circa 5-6 metri. Appartamento e bagno sono a livello della strada ed appaiono come un sotto-scala. Il wifi ha un segnale molto basso da far sconnettere il telefono. Il proprietario ha addebitato circa 200 Nok in più per caparra pulizie (150 NOK) e commissioni bancarie sul pagamento con carta di credito (circa 50 NOK). Dopo richiesta di spiegazioni e discussioni, facendo notare che le commissioni bancarie non spettano a chi effettua la prenotazione, ho ricevuto indietro tutto l'importo.

Wunderbare Lage über dem Fjord. Zimmer und Bad waren geräumig und und komfortabel eingerichtet. Außerdem gibt es eine Küche für die Gäste, mit allem was nötig ist. Wer Übernachtung mit Frühstück bucht, bekommt Gutscheine für das sehr gute Frühstücksbüffet im nahe gelegenen Hotel Utsikten.

L'emplacement est très agréable avec une belle vue sur le Fjord. La chambre est spacieuse avec une salle de bain qui semble récemment refaite. Il y a une place de parking.

La cuisine est partagée, ce qui n'aurait pas dû être un problème, mais l'hôte a été odieux. Il ne respecte pas la tranquillité et l'intimité des clients et rentre dans cette cuisine lorsque nous mangeons ou se permet de réarranger nos produits dans le réfrigérateur. Il a fait un scandale et refusé toute discussion après que nous ayons cuisiné un filet de saumon au four à cause de l'odeur résiduelle (même si nous avions fermé les portes, utilisé la hotte aspirante, ouvert les fenêtres et lavé tout de suite).

We zaten in een aanbouw ingericht met keuken, slaapkamer met bureau. Oud maar wel leuk om te verblijven en netjes ingericht. Rustig gelegen langs de weg en parkeren geen probleem. De laatste ochtend hebben we een ontbijt gekocht die te nuttigen was in het hotel op 3 minuten lopen. Voor de WC en douche moesten we naar buiten maar prima en netjes. Het heeft ook wat uit vroeger tijden. De eigenaar was aardig en heeft ont prima geholpen.

Voor de WC en douche moesten we 5 meter naar buiten naar een aparte ruimte. Voor 's nachts waren er badjassen aanwezig. 'Is maar net wat je gewend bent. De Wifi was slecht, de verbinding viel telkens weg en je moest naar buiten om weer verbinding te krijgen.

This ground floor unit has everything you need to be self sufficient. Beds were comfortable, pillows good. The shower was excellent. Spacious bedroom and large combined lounge/dining/kitchen. Kitchen was well equipped to be able to cook your own meals. Spectacular view overlooking Geiranger Fjord. The friendly host lives on site and is available all the time.

There is no microwave. Just be aware that the private bathroom is outside the front door and into the basement - about 3 metres walk.

Localização privilegiada, com um visual fantástico para o "fjorde". Quarto confortável, cozinha bem equipada (compartilhada com outros dois quartos, mas com itens individualizados para cada quarto). Atendimento excelente na recepção, o Sr. IAN foi muito atencioso, agradável e prestativo.

Property was in a lovely position looking down on to the fjord - was also convenient for a hotel just above for dinner.

Think we may have drawn a short straw with the apartment 4 - but we didn’t have any other choice within the same building when we booked. It probably would be classed as basement and the showeroom wasn’t within the unit … albeit private - we were however made aware of the shower room at booking. Sadly we didn’t have any of the wonderful view from any of our apartment windows

Das Frühstück wurde im nahegelegenen Hotel angeboten, reichhaltiges Buffet. Das Haus steht an Top-Lage mit direktem Blick auf Geiranger! Die Gastgeber haben uns freundlich aufgenommen und mit Informationen um Geiranger und Tipps für Wanderungen versorgt.

Gemeinschaftsküche für 3 Zimmer - war ok, da alles gut organisiert und beschriftet war - hätte aber erwähnt werden müssen.

Ho prenotato l'appartamento con 1 camera per non avere la cucina condivisa con altri ospiti, non pensavo che invece avrei avuto il bagno in una cantina a "soli" 5 metri dalla porta di ingresso, uscendo fuori anche la notte per utilizzarlo. In generale l'appartamento non è come presento nelle foto: non c'è il legno sui muri (come da foto) ma solo mattoni verniciati alla meglio; non c'è un vero e proprio divano (come da foto) ma solo 2 poltrone di dubbia comodità; dire che la cucina è essenziale è un complimento, visto che mancano o non si chiudono gli sportelli; né un tappeto né un quadro, la porta cigola e si chiude male, riscaldamento solo in una stanza. Infine purtroppo, per quanto sia all'apparenza amichevole il proprietario, ho avuto problemi relativi al pagamento, dato che non mi ha in nessun modo rilasciato la ricevuta dei 3 pagamenti (triplicando le spese e le commissioni) che ho dovuto fare direttamente sul posto e insinuando che non mi fidassi dei suoi conti. Pessima esperienza, meglio prenotare le camere ai piani alti.

Great location with a breathtaking view on the Geiranger. Very quiet place.

This B&B was located up the hill from town and far from the cruise ships. There was a beautiful view from the porch and kitchen. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Ian was a friendly and accommodating host. We loved it.

We likes that it was located above the busy town. It was quiet and uncrowded. Ian was a gracious host and we had access to the shared kitchen for the three rooms.

Beliggenheten og utsikten. God service også med ekstra transport uten kostnad tur/retur sentrum. God frokost på nabohotellet inkludert.

Verten var hyggelig men i overkant pratsom, litt vanskelig å komme fra innimellom men på en noe sjarmerende måte.

The Host is king and the view is stunning, perfect location for hiking.

The view from the communal kitchen window in the second floor was priceless. And the plot of land on which this accomodation was located was absolutely superb. The air was very clean, thus we had a good nights sleep. The roar of the waterfalls in the area had a sleep-inducing effect. Although we rarely used the communal kitchen facilities during our stay, we got a positive impression of the kitchen. The breakfast voucher scheme with the neighboring hotel was a good solution, and we were satisfied with the breakfast.

This was not a hotel, but an accommodation in a bedroom with a private bathroom, in the house of a private couple. The house was old and crooked, the garden was only partially maintained, and the parking on site was a bit disorganized. There was no reception, so you had to ring the doorbell of the owners to check in and out. For this type of accommodation, the price was high, compared to what I have paid for similar places in the past.

El alojamiento es muy lindo, amplio, cómodo y confortable. Se encontraba limpio, bien equipado, correctamente calefaccionado y con todas las comodidades necesarias para una estadía agradable. La decoración es cuidada, los ambientes son acogedores y el anfitrión fue muy amable, cordial y predispuesto. No obstante, ello no modifica el hecho de que el baño privado se encontrara fuera de la habitación, circunstancia que no fue informada de manera clara al momento de efectuar la reserva.

Al momento de efectuar la reserva, para nosotros era un requisito indispensable que el baño fuera privado y estuviera ubicado dentro de la habitación, ya que esa característica fue determinante para elegir el alojamiento. Sin embargo, al llegar constatamos que, si bien el baño era de uso privado, se encontraba fuera de la habitación, siendo necesario salir de ella y recorrer un pasillo para acceder al mismo. Esta circunstancia no se correspondía con nuestras legítimas expectativas al momento de contratar. Por ello, consideramos que la publicación en Booking debería indicar de manera clara, expresa e inequívoca que el baño privado se encuentra fuera de la habitación, a fin de evitar inducir a error a los consumidores y permitirles tomar una decisión de contratación debidamente informada.

Toller Blick. Gutes Frühstück im Hotel Ustiken, gegenüber. Küchennutzung gut für alle, die teure Restaurants in Norwegen umgehen wollen.

Zu weiche Betten. Für den Preis etwas altmodische Zimmerausstattung.

Non era specificato che il bagno dell'appartamento al piano terra fosse esterno e non dentro l'appartamento e quindi abbiamo dovuto pagare un supplemento per avere la stanza al piano superiore con bagno in camera ma cucina in comune con altre 2 camere

Mycket välstädat. Bra utrustat kök där det fanns spis, kyl och frys, glas, porslin och de vanligaste matlagningsredskapen. En mikrovågsugn eller ugn hade dock varit bra Tyst och lugnt. Fin utsikt. Värden var trevlig och pratsam.

Vi fick ett rum/liten lägenhet i källaren. Det privata badrummet var man tvungen att gå ut för att nå via en annan källardörr. Det borde ha framgått vid bokning. Inte så trevligt att behöva ta på skor och kläder om man behöver gå på toaletten under natten. Värden tar en deposition för eventuell städning utöver det normala. Det finns inte med i villkoren så att plocka de pengarna från kundens konto är inte lagligt. Vi fick i alla fall tillbaka pengarna innan utcheckning och utan att behöva säga till.

It was very comfortable, super clean, had the use of a small kitchen, fantastic views of the Fjord, good breakfast at the hotel next door and Ian, the owner, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me a lift down into the town which was very helpful and much appreciated.

Nothing really, if I had one comment, it was the lack of having a TV to watch England play in the World Cup. To be fair, again, Ian was super helpful and did try to resolve this for me.

Le manque d espace en intérieur. Le propriétaire a dédié le premier étage de sa maison à la location de 3 chambres, il occupe le RDC. En dehors de la petite cuisine commune, il n'y a aucun espace pour se mouvoir. Par ailleurs la chambre est petite. Les 2 fauteuils sont moelleux mais, du fait de l inclinaison du dossier, peu confortables. L équipement de la chambre est minimaliste. Les housses de couette du lit étaient toute chiffonnées. Aucune option de petit déjeuner, sauf à aller dans un hôtel voisin. Ensemble décevant.

Dans l agitation touristique de Geiranger, petit établissement paisible. Du jardin, belle vue sur le fjord, les écureuils et les oiseaux qui eux aussi apprécient l adresse Grande cuisine partagée ( avec vue ) très bien organisee

Our host was very friendly and helpful, but gave the wrong advise about what currency to chose as a foreigner. The traveller must NEVER chose euro, but the local currency, NOK, instead.

On one hand the host was very friendly to do some small laundry for us, but on the other hand it was annoying he refused to tell us the amount he would charge us. He did not tell us how much to pay until the laundry was done. About the payment of that laundry, I invite the host to send us his IBAN and BIC/SWIFT so we can pay him. Panorama care se vede de la locatie este minunata. Baia a fost curata dar camera a fost micuta.

Motivul pentru care am ales locatia este ca are o bucatarie care arata bine in poze. Arata la fel si in realitate, este complet utilata, dar poti sa o folosesti doar sa mananci (daca ai la tine) sau sa iti faci cafea sau ceai. Am ajuns spre seara la locatie, dupa un drum lung si obositor. Am vrut sa prepar ceva rapid, dar nu am putut folosi plita electrica, proprietarul spunandu-ne ca doar sotia lui gateste acolo!!! De ce mai pune poze cu bucataria daca nu te lasa sa gatesti?! Cei care vor sa ajunga acolo trebuie sa stie ca distanta de la locatie pana la cel mai apropiat restaurant este 1,5 km si pana in statiune, unde gasesti magazin, 3 km, drumul fiind foarte abrupt si sinuos. Localurile se inchid la ora 21 si se deschid doar catre amiaza, la ora 12,00.

Everything about this place is exceptional. As a hotelier person myself, I can with full honesty say that The owners, the location, the views, and the B&B itself is wonderful. But what really sells this place over the rest is the clear love, passion, dedication and care the owners have put into to make this special for any occasion. Whether it is a one night stay in the off season or several nights in peak season, it clearly has a unique charm and their attentiveness towards you. The attention to details and the knowledged owners really gave the added bonus to our stay. I loved bird watching outside the kitchen window and seeing the view of the fjord. If I ever find my way back to Geiranger, there is without a doubt, I will be staying here again. For travelers who dont like shared kitchen concepts or b&bs, this may not be for you. But honestly, the views, the pricing, and the accommodation is so worth it. Thank you lovely hosts for your hospitality.

Very good bedroom and kitchen. Beautiful view of Geiranger. The owner was also formidable in helping solve a problem with the car (making many phone calls to get assistance), which got stuck in the snow.

Stunning view down into Geirangerfjord from front porch. The host, Ian, is a don't of information on the area and birds. Short walk to nearby hotel for dinner or breakfast, although the kitchen is handy too. Parking is good.

Wi-Fi in the basement apartment is weak. Walk to bathroom a bit inconvenient.

Cute little hotel with an excellent view. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is far up the mountain, but the hosts offer a quick shuttle service for a small fee. They even came down to get us on a day when the road was completely closed off by a broken down tour bus! We decided to walk down the mountain on our return to catch the many viewpoints of the fjord+ waterfall walk and Ian brought our luggage down directly to us. The kitchenette has everything you need, do a grocery shop at the Joker in town before heading up. Lovely view and birdwatching from the kitchen table was great at breakfast!

Ian, the host is just like parent to us. So care and informative in everything. He keeps us updated about the aurora chances in geiranger, road update etc. the house location is perched on the hill looking at geirangerfjord. Every room has private bath room. Ian offered us using his washing machine. He brought us blueberry home made jam which was very fresh & delicious.

Very nice location! From the kitchen window you could see beautiful Geiranger fjord, amazing! A clean, quite and cozy room. The owner, Ian was very kind who told us a lot of stories about how to make local food, very interesting! There are many utensils, coffee and tea in the kitchen for people.

Property was very nice but a little far from town. Owner picked us up and redelivered us which was great. He was also very helpful in recommending hikes nearby. Great location for hiking and there is a hotel next door which had dinner and breakfast if desired. Kitchen was well stocked which was great as well.

Traumhafte Lage.

Die Lage war sehr schön, aus der Küche hatte man einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Fjord. Das Zimmer hatte alles was man braucht. Und die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, jedes Zimmer hatte seine eigenen Utensilien. Einen Parkplatz hatte man ebenfalls direkt auf dem Grundstück.
