SMAK's Hotel

Alles wat zeer aangenaam. Je voelde je thuis maar ver van thuis. Lawaai in omstreken maar service, beschikbaarheid en vriendelijkheid ter plaatste was geweldig. Echt super plek dat ik zeker aanraad. We zijn 9 nachten gebleven en missen het al een beetje. :-)

Eine Oase in einer Seitenstraße, mit einem top gepflegten Garten und liebevoller Einrichtung. Die Zimmer sind funktional, sauber und haben AC und Smart TV. Das Beste sind die Mitarbeiter, die supernett und hilfsbereit sind und sich ganz persönlich um einen kümmern. Im Restaurant kann man leckere Filipino-europäische Gerichte essen. Mein Favorit: Chicken Adobo.

I really like how the staffs are very welcoming and kind. The rooms are ok, just water pressure needs some improvements, and the toilet flush as well. The room it self is nice and clean and has neflix you can enjoy. We also ate dinner there and it was delicious. Location is also accessible.

Just the bathroom, the water pressure is really bad and the toilet have difficulties of getting flush.

Clean room.. Strong water pressure with hot shower heater..floor is tiled not carpet which to me looks cleaner..free wifi.. Free parking.. Free breakfast.. Staff are friendly and very helpful.. Hotel provides guided tours which make it easier to visit the nearby sites.. Good value... highly recommended!

The staff were very helpful and the hotel was in an excellent location. Very close to a fabulous beach and near to bars and restaurants. We stayed for 2 weeks but wished it was longer.

We had an issue with the AC temperature, probably because it was extremely hot outside, so we requested a fan for the room, and they immediately provided us with one. The breakfast was great!! U can also ask them to cook for you for a minimal fee, and the food is really tasty. This was my 4th time in Santa Fe, and this place truly felt like home. Everyone was so nice!!!! Ate Joy and Whitney were absolutely amazing!!! Definitely such lovely people. There’s also a water dispenser, so u dont have to buy bottled water every day. I loved our stay so much!!!! We stayed for 11 days, and it still felt too short!!! Everything was awesome!!!! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME!!!!!! The people were AMAZING!!! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

Biggest thing is that they are connected to a travel group, so transpo was extremely easy to arrange. Location was also very good: 10 minute walk to the beach, another 10 minutes to restaurants and cafes.

WiFi didn't work. Bigger thing: we saw lobster and pasta on the menu for 700 pesos, so of course we decided to have a lobster dinner plus ceviche and calamari. It took 2 hours to serve. How does it take more than 1 hour to serve ceviche when literally nothing in it is cooked?

Its location is near town center but a bit quieter. Easy to find. Nice breakfast in a nice courtyard. The staff is friendly and attentive. Really good vibes.

Location was good, a little balcony with table & chairs & a long clothes horse was handy. Staff were lovely, breakfast was yummy- unreal value, being included. Shower pressure was good, was a huge shower. Tv was good.

Lots loud noises nearby which woke us 5.45am, People smoking at the bar. Bed was a double with foam mattress so the sheets kept pulling out.

Location: less than 5 min walk to the nearby market and seafood restaurants. Room: the room is really clean, the bed comfortable, food during breakfast was great! Ordered Danggit silog during my whole stay! Amenities are complete with shower heater, water is strong, sunny place, aircondition is good and cool, TV is small but it's fine since you're not expected to be in the room always. The room I stayed in is good for two. Beach: it is not beach front but it is just 5min walk to the Kota beach. If you can drive a motorbike, you can rent it nearby and just go around the island. Bantayan island is truly a lovely, lovely place. So peaceful, far from the city and yet within reach of basic needs I didnt have any expectations staying at SMAK but the staff there are very attentive and kind. They always greet you with a smile. Check-in and check-out was smooth. There's wifi in the property. It's fast enough for Viber and Zoom calls. Goof enough for some net surfing. Highly recommended for locals and internation travelers!

Very nice , big apartment, bar and restaurant on site. The staff and the food in the restaurant is just superb.

One minus was Wifi signal in the apartment, signal was just in dining room. No Wifi in the bedrooms. Second minus was the Window in the master bedroom,the view is to the hotel laundry room. In the laundry room was a light on all the night, so in the bedroom was not dark at all, it was a bit disturbing in the night time.

Très bien placé. Notre chambre était nickel, climatisation et petit frigo. Vous avez la plage de Kota beach à 10 mn à pied grand maximum. Vous pouvez sortir le soir à pied, le quartier animé et tous les restaurants sont à 5mn de l hôtel. En leur demandant, vous pouvez faire le transfert Cebu city jusqu a leur hôtel avec eux. Nous avons louez le scooter en passant par eux aussi. Ah j'oubliais, vous avez aussi le restaurant de l hôtel qui est très bon et bien servi. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Nous y avons mangé 2 ou 3 fois sans compter le petit déjeuner (et c'est copieux). Je recommande cet hôtel sans problème. Le personnel est très accueillant. D'ailleurs, un grand merci à Joy pour sa gentillesse 👍😉

Super clean, well organized little guesthouse a 5-7 min walk from downtown, on a quiet side street (no street noise or roosters). Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent especially the schnitzel and fish and chips. Nice welcoming atmosphere in the dining area. Our room was a good size with several really nice touches (bed side lights, 2 good pillows each, safe, super quiet aircon). Hot shower too.

No hammocks or common area to sit, relax and read (when it’s raining).

Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und gut. Es gibt nicht nur Toast sondern auch Brot! und Cappuccino. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Inhaber ist ein Schweizer, daher gibt es hier immer etwas leckeres zum Frühstück. Die Schnitzel mit Rösti im Restaurant sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per qualche giorno e nel complesso l’esperienza è stata positiva, soprattutto per alcune cose. Si mangia davvero bene e il ristorante è molto carino, curato e piacevole, un bel posto dove fermarsi sia a colazione che a cena. Lo staff è mediamente gentile: non super caloroso come in altre strutture delle Filippine, ma comunque disponibile e corretto. Punto a favore importante: i tour organizzati dalla struttura sono belli e ben organizzati, ideali se non avete voglia di pensare a nulla e volete girare la zona in modo comodo.

La nota un po’ dolente è la camera: piuttosto piccola e un po’ datata, e sinceramente dava una sensazione un po’ soffocante. Il balcone c’è, ma senza vista, affacciato solo sui tetti e sulle lamiere, quindi non aspettatevi nulla di scenografico. Detto questo, è una cosa che in parte si intuisce già al momento della prenotazione, quindi non è stata una sorpresa totale. Se siete in zona e non ci sono molte alternative, resta comunque meglio che niente: la struttura è semplice, senza pretese, ma funzionale.

We stayed at Smak’s Hotel for six nights and found it to be excellent value for money. The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from Kota Beach, as well as the market, shops, and many restaurants in Santa Fe, making it a very convenient base for exploring the island. The hotel is by no means luxurious, but that is exactly reflected in the price. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with warm water, a quiet and well-functioning air conditioner, generally reliable (if occasionally slow) WiFi, and even access to a Netflix account. Everything we needed for a relaxed stay was there. And the bed was super comfy, too! Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was consistently enjoyable. There was a choice of Filipino and Western set menus, most of which came with fresh local fruit – on most days, delicious mango. We also had dinner at the hotel several times and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The menu offers both Filipino and Western dishes, all of which we tried were very good. The standout was the schnitzel (the owner is Swiss), but the palabok deserves a special mention as well. The hotel also provided free beach towels, helped arrange a scooter for us, and was happy to assist with any other requests we had. While all staff members were kind and accommodating, Joy truly stood out – always smiling and genuinely attentive, she played a big part in making our stay so enjoyable. All in all, Smak’s Hotel is a bit of a hidden gem. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and well-located place to stay while exploring Santa Fe and the rest of Bantayan Island.

The WiFi connection could be a bit stronger, as Netflix buffered occasionally, but this was almost a non-issue for us since we did not come to Bantayan to watch TV.

The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful with everything. Breakfast was always good. Even when one of our group got seriously sick, they helped organise a nurse and the journey back to Cebu city.

Tuvimos que irnos una noche antes de lo previsto por un cambio de vuelo, y a cambio nos invitaron a una cena espectacular de Schnitzel ( el Bantayan está espectacular) y varios upgrades de desayuno para compensar. Estuvimos como en casa. Instalaciones perfectas, baño con mampara, camas cómodas, caja de seguridad, mucha limpieza… La amabilidad de la anfitriona. Además, nos dejaron hacer late check out para poder disfrutar de la mañana de playa. Sugar Beach a 5 min caminando.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und in der Nähe des Strandes. Extrem freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal:-). Das Appartement ist sehr gross und es hatte ebenfalls einen grossen Ständer zum Kleider aufhängen da. Ein Zimmer wurde mit Wasser von oberem Zimmer überflutet. Es wurde sehr schnell gehandelt und wir konnten in zwei separate Zimmer für zwei Nächte ziehen. Super war das jedes Zimmer sein eigenes Bad hatte. Das Essen am Hotel war sehr gut. Wir würden sicher wieder kommen :-) .

Die Küchenausstattung war ziemlich spärlich, sodass wir die Küche nie benutzten. Das Frühstück war gut und viel, jedoch war es sehr fettig. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, aber es hat uns nie wirklich gestört.

The location is good, accessible to the market and some shops. The room is big enough for the 5 of us. The kitchen is wide enough for us to cook.

We seem to have a problem with the TV and the Internet. People these days enjoy either watching TV or doing something on their cellphones.

Sauber, Personal top, Bar im Außenbereich, Restaurant mit sehr gutem Frühstück und Speisekarte. Sehr saubere Küche !. Ist mir als ex Koch auch sehr wichtig. Hilfsbereit und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und Chefin. ... und.. ! Ruhig, man kann gut schlafen da es keinen Hühner Terror von den Nachbarn Häusern gibt.

La disponibilité professionnalisme sympathique

Lo Smak’s hotel gode di una buona posizione. Si trova in centro, a Santa Fe, a pochi minuti a piedi da MJ Square. Staff molto gentile e accogliente, ristorante di discreta qualità e agenzia (situata all’interno dello stesso hotel) eccellente. Hanno organizzato il nostro viaggio dall’aeroporto di Cebu a Bantayan in maniera ineccepibile. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

La struttura va bene per chi non ha particolari velleità o esigenze in termini di estetica delle stanze. Purtroppo, dagli scarichi, proveniva un cattivo odore di fognatura (soprattutto all’inizio, nel momento in cui l’acqua inizia a uscire dal rubinetto o dalla doccia). Insonorizzazione inesistente (tutta la notte abbiamo sentito un forte rumore di tamburi, chiaramente non imputabile alla struttura).

Un havre de paix dans une ile tranquille, la perle des Visayas, une île de Buntayan encore protégée du tourisme de masse. Aller se coucher après une belle journée ou se lever de bonne heure pour le petit déjeuner était toujours un plaisir. La gentillesse et l’amabilité du personnel y est pour beaucoup. Un hôtel à recommander pour les voyageurs des mers du sud.
