The food needs work across the board. The hotel is nice and there is not a lot of food options in walking distance, so providing a good meal would really mean a lot to the guests.

I'm worried because I booked a non smoking room but I was placed in a smoking one.I alerted the staff but they told me that it was a non smoking room even though you smelled cigarette when you open the door

Helpfulness of the staff. I had mobility issues due to a personal injury. The staff assisted from parking, tp wheelchair to relocation to the groundfloor. That was really considerate of them.

Carpets need to be deep cleaned. But this is generally the issue with high occupancy hotels with carpeted rooms. Also, Southern Sun needs to consider disability friendly access.

The buffet dinner looked like a disappointment and room 221 where I had booked my aunt was noisy. Kids roaming/playing around making noise.

The place was clean, quieter than most places near main roads. Staff was great and quick with our requests.

They really need to change the bases of the beds. They make noise at every turn. The carpet needs to be pulled at the corners to smooth it out again.

The Hotel is located in the city center convenient to access, the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast very good, convenient parking as well, closer to filling stations when you are driving, it is easier to fill up. Room spacious and furniture good as well

I reported a toilet leak in my room without any assistance until i checked out, the hotel can at the least provide 500ml bottled water and for the price one pays you will expect 24 hours room service especially when you arrive later than 22h00, and why do you not have iron and ironing board and when you call room service the phone is not going through? and the no fridge in the rooms is a turn off.

A normal modern aircon would have worked better I wished there was a fridge in the room 2 chairs, especially if the booking is for two people The headboard was peeling I asked for a smoking room, and we didn't get an ashtray; we had to ask for it

The rooms are clean and spacious, I liked that when asked for two beds it was double beds and not 3/4 beds.

The staff member that checked us in was not friendly. She was mean and condescending Palesa won’t forget her, didn’t even give us a detailed breakdown of what to expect from the hotel.

I was able to redeem my points for Supper, something I never did before, this was awesome. Now I am going to track my loyalty points going forward

That I was only booked for one night, next time it will atleast be two nights
