My best stay in Philippines! Very clean and cozy hotel far from noisy parr of island. Good breakfast with machine coffee, just 1 minute walk to the beach

Staff is amazing & accessibility to Diniwid beach and Mama’s fish house.

The first thing we liked was the room size. They are large and spacious. We stayed in both room types — with a garden and without one — and both options were great. The second thing I’d like to mention is the breakfast. Breakfast was included in our rate, and we also purchased one additional breakfast for another guest. The food was excellent, tasty, and reasonably priced for Boracay. The staff were always helpful, ready to give advice, answer questions, and assist whenever needed. This is not directly related to the hotel, but the beach feels like a secluded paradise with clean water. After White Beach, it feels like a peaceful hidden gem — no vendors and no crowds of tourists. There is also a beach bar where you can order a drink and use the sun loungers. Also not directly related to the hotel, but nearby there are many small shops and 3–4 good cafes with decent food options. And finally, a nice bonus for animal lovers: the hotel is home to the three cutest dogs — Sky, Winston, and Gia.

I would also suggest that the hotel consider adding more hooks in the bathroom. There are currently not enough, and while it’s a small detail, it would make guests’ stay much more convenient. There are also two things worth mentioning that are not directly related to the hotel but may be inconvenient for some guests. First, there was a small construction site nearby. The noise did not bother us, but it could be an issue for other visitors. Second, the path leading down from the hotel to the main road is quite steep and has exposed tree roots. We actually had a few minor falls because of the small roots on the path, so guests should be a bit careful.

It’s quiet and serene.. a ample room space, a vast terrace(veranda) and walking distance to the beach.

The room was very. very big and comfortable. The aircon worked perfectly which was nice given how hot it was during our stay. We’ve really enjoyed the location. It’s a 10mins walk to Station 1 if you go through the beach or you can get a scooter/e-trike ride just outside the hotel for very cheap (150-200 pesos). Diniwid beach is a little gem, much more authentic and less touristy than the other main beaches on the island. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boracay. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

The water takes a little while to get warm but it’s not a big deal depending on the time of the year you’re travelling. One little thing was that I ordered banana pancakes for breakfast (specifically for the banana) and they were brought to me without it. When I asked for it the staff told me they ran out of bananas - that’s totally fine but I would have liked to know that before I ordered them. Other than that, it was a great stay :)

В одной минуте ходьбы пляж, который нам понравился больше чем White beach. Романтическая дорожка в скалах до Белого пляжа прямо звала... пройтись по ней)))) минут 15 занимает... Как альтернатива за 200 песо вы на трицикле на первой станции. В самом отеле выбирать номера исключительно Веранда и с Видом на море, остальные будут с видом в забор. Хорошая уборка и лучшее постельное белье из бамбука🥰 Ресторан на пляже DiniBeach просто изумительный. Особенно ризотто😄

Номера скромные, ванна с туалетом требуют улучшений, хотя горячая вода была в достаточном количестве

We stayed at Sulu Sea Boutique Boracay for a week, honestly, it was one of the most peaceful and rejuvenating getaways we’ve had. Tucked away just 100 metres from the quiet shores of Diniwid Beach (walking distance!), this place was a steal! Secluded enough away from the bustling crowds and easy access to Stations 1, 2, and 3. If you love slow mornings, beach strolls, and the sound of the waves like us (without the party noise), this is the spot 😎 What really made our stay extra special were the lovely hosts, James and Kier. These two were warm, polite, and incredibly attentive, always ready to help us with our travel routes. We had breakfast included in our stay, and James is a wonderful cook, and we enjoyed a few cozy shared meals alongside the true stars of the property: Sky the mischievous husky, Frisky Gia, and Lord Winston, the charming sausage dog. It truly felt like home. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with clean linens and plenty of space to stretch out and unwind. We’re the type of travelers who enjoy walking, and staying here gave us the perfect excuse to slow down and take our daily “mental health” walks along the beach and back. And just a few steps ahead? The Diniwid Beach Bar and of-course Diniwid beach, perfect place to end your day with a cocktail drinks and sunset views. If you’re looking for a laid-back, friendly, and peaceful place to stay in Boracay, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

I had a really lovely stay at Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful — always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with anything I needed. They truly made me feel welcome. One of the best parts of staying here is how close the hotel is to the beautiful private stretch of White Beach in Zone 1, which in my opinion is the nicest part of the area. It felt almost like having my own little secluded paradise. The view from the hotel is also stunning — perfect for taking photos or simply sitting back and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. I spent quite a few afternoons just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. I also appreciated the breakfast each morning, which was a really nice way to start the day.

There are just a few areas that could be improved to make the experience even better. The Wi-Fi signal was quite weak in my room — although, to be honest, that ended up being a bit of a blessing because it helped me disconnect and truly relax. Still, a stronger connection would be helpful, especially for those who might need to catch up on work. It would also be great if the hotel offered laundry facilities, since that’s something many travelers find useful. Some small maintenance updates would make a big difference too, like improving the water pressure in the shower and addressing a bit of mold in certain spots. Because the hotel is slightly away from the busier parts of the island, it’s very peaceful — but it also means relying on moto taxis to get around. Unfortunately, the drivers on the road nearby tend to overcharge. It might be helpful if the hotel could work with some trusted local drivers to offer fair rates for guests.

The hotel is located at the north part of the island, so far enough from the white beach to enjoy a more private, calm beach with less people but still close enough to the center to be able to get there fast. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast is really good, so I recommend getting it, and they offer laundry services, so you can have your clothes cleaned and ironed in one day for a very low price. The rooms are comfortable, with AC so the heat is not a problem. Overall services, location, staff and room were very good, and I feel very pleased with the stay. I definitely recommend it!

We loved Sulu Sea! Diniwid beach is beautiful and a little spot of paradise tucked away from the busy centre, but only a 15 minute walk down the beach for lots of restaurants and bars. The beach bar on Diniwad Beach was by far our favourite place to eat and drink, and the staff at Sulu Sea are lovely. The room was spacious and cleaned regularly. Breakfasts were basic but delicious and they have three very cute dog who will join you every morning.

The only small issue we had was out of the hotels control - but there were winged termites that descended from nowhere every evening when we turned out the lights! Nothing the hotel could possibly do (other than kindly lend us bug spray!) but if you’re visiting in May, pick up your own spray for convenience.

There are many things about this property I could say, we really didn’t enjoy this accommodation. We were offered a paid upgrade to a bigger room the so called “penthouse” the roof leaked, the toilet blocked and the fan over the bed didn’t work, there is only aircon in the bedroom section and the kitchen living area is like an oven, it was really uncomfortable. We ended up moving rooms but decided in the end that we were over sold on n the accommodation, we didn’t feel it was value for money. And the wifi was not great, We ended up checking out 4 nights early and leaving Boracay island. We will not be returning

The hotel is in a super quiet location, the rooms are very spacious, clean and quiet. 1 min away from Diniwid Beach. The guys from the staff are kind, friendly, respectful and good. They helped us with directions and information.

This is a value for money place to stay. The staff were really nice too. The location though far from the center (around 30 mins walk or so) has its pros such as being in front of your own little white beach where you can also snorkel to see marine life, away from the crowd. Room size was quite spacious for 2 people.

Either you walk to the center and save transport money or pay around 200 pesos one-way to grab some nice dinner in front of station 1 or 2. The shower area doesn't have a border that can isolate the water from spreading to the entire floor. Bed was quite soft/soggy but still depends on one's preference I think.

Great hotel in a natural and leafy area. Very nice and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast with many choices. Comfortable room and bed. Not easy to find, but worth the hassle of getting there. Beach bars and restaurants close by to enjoy the magnificent sunsets. For a very quiet and relaxing stay Sulusea is recommended.

We arrived at 11 PM, and the room we had reserved was not ready, so they gave us another room, supposedly the main one. It was bigger, but the furniture was very old, and there wasn’t much difference from the other rooms. We were supposed to stay there for two nights until the room we had originally booked was cleaned. On the day we wanted to move to the other room, it was still not ready—they hadn’t cleaned it yet—and they wanted us to wait until they finished. In the end, the owner kicked us out of the hotel and told us he didn’t want this kind of guest, asking us to leave immediately. They canceled the rest of our reservation and forced us to leave. The owner was very aggressive, and we didn’t like the way we were treated. In the end, we found another hotel that was much nicer and better located!

Excellent location, next to Diniwid Beach (best for sunsets and general chill). Only 15 mins walk from main road where you can get hopper buses (there are tuktuks that would happily run you up and down however) Host was excellent throughout. Gave towels for the beach. Breakfast was simple but nice. Good value for money. Good A/C. Clean facilities.

Super friendly staff and amazing dogs in the reception area! The room was spacious, really clean and the air conditioning was lovely! Great big balcony and massive bed with comfortable sheets! Bathroom small but all you need. The location was incredible, perfect little beach away from the bigger crowds and the bar around the corner was amazing, highly recommend the fruit crushes!

The coffees in the room were a bit sad but great coffees just around the corner. Fridge had a bit of a smell but managed to mostly air it out. The wifi was unfortunately really bad, but you manage.

We had a lovely big balcony with sun loungers which was great. Staff provided unlimited free water and they were friendly. Close to Diniwid beach and only a 10 min walk along coastal path to start of station 1 where the beach is quiet. Nice big bed.

This place is a little gem in Boracay. In the horror and chaos of what is overdeveloped beyond imagination White beach, Diniwid beach and this hotel are a little oasis away from that. This hotel sits amongst trees and is so quiet and peaceful, just a short walk to the lovely beach and awesome beach bar / restaurant. The staff are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.

Really close to a lovely little beach at the north end of the long white beach. Just know that it is very busy during the weekends especially in high season with both local groups using it and many tourists too. Big bathroom area in the room. The room we got was on the top floor and it had a huge veranda which looked out to the beach/sea and was great for sunsets (if the clouds break...). Breakfast is simple but cost effective with free coffee, if not included in the room rate. Beach towels are available at reception if you ask. There's a great beach restaurant on the beach but it's pricey.

Some water in the room each day would be nice. Need to take a tricycle to get to the end of the road for the local mall or hop on hop off bus. If you do many trips during your stay the cost can quickly add up, negotiating isn't always pleasant. The workers will come to the veranda to sweep away the water if (when) it rains over night, the roof into the kitchen/dining area leeks. The shower door was quite stuck/not easy to open/close.

Quaint hotel located in the hill above a private beach and a short walk from Station One and the shopping mall, it is probably the most perfect location for privacy and accessibility. The are great restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity and only a 15 minute walk to D Mall where most of the bars and restaurants are in Boracay. I would definitely choose this hotel again, it is one of the most quiet, picturesque, comfortable rooms I have experienced in all of Asia.

The service was superb. The bed was comfy. The shower was hot and strong. The bidet was strong.

Lighting is a bit dim; the one in the bathroom definitely needs better lighting. We booked the suite hoping for a good view of the beach. We should have booked a lower floor coz the additional cost was pointless. To be honest, i would have scored this lower than 8 except that the staff was really nice. We stayed in a different hotel for business and the latter did cost less with better comfort.

The hotel and location couldn't have been any better. What caught my attention to booking the hotel were the reviews saying it was a quiet and peaceful area. Short walk to the beach. Was exactly that and what I wanted. Could even watch Netflix in the room when stormy weather and unable to do activities outdoors.

Nothing is perfect. Found the boss lady extremely rude, ignorant, unprofessional, and arrogant. The complete opposite of modest and humble to be precise. She kept talking at me without giving me a chance to respond to her or speak at all. Had no idea what she was saying half the time, but I was just trying to be polite. Telling me her husband was Austrian and being told by other people her husband was Korean. I have no idea why she would lie completely unnecessarily. Apparently, her dog was barking at me while I was eating my breakfast because it was sick, not at all, because it was begging me for food numerous times. And another dog jumping up on my lap on the other side while I'm trying to eat, while she was completely oblivious to it and obviously quite incapable of training or disciplining her dogs. Reminded me of my old boss working at a country estate and mansion in the UK. Thought she was royalty and better than everyone else. Treated the staff and guests like peasants.

This was my second time at Sulu Sea, love the relaxed vibe, perfect quiet location right next to the beach, comfortable and clean rooms. The major plus is you’re away from the chaos of the white beach and right next to the beautiful Diniwid. Staff were great, always an available and polite. Recommend this hotel for a quiet getaway.

I like the homey and dog friendly atmosphere of this hotel.The room is tidy, smells good and surprisingly comfortable. Just perfect to keep you relaxed after a tiring travel. I didnt avail breakfast though. The beach is just a few minutes walk. What a joy to wake up in the morning and experience the privacy of Diniwid beach.

The street leading to the hotel is rough, narrow & uphill and the hotel signage is not so visible at night, good thing there is a waiting area for e-trike nearby wherein some helpful residents or probably barangay enforcers keep watch.

We LOVED our stay here! The room was surprisingly big, super clean, there was a fridge, water cooker, table with chairs, the bed was also really big and comfy, nice clean shower, they clean the room whenever you want with fresh new towels. The staff is really kind and helpful, they have three wonderful sweet dogs which made the stay even more fun. Breakfast is really good (we recommend the vegetable omelette!) and flexibel, many options, adjustments are possible. The stay is 70 meters away from one of our favorite beaches on the island; Diniwid beach which is ideal. Because it's like 10-15 minutes away from the 'centre' we rented a motorbike so we could explore the whole island by ourselves. We loved that the place was in a more quiet, less crowded area, everything was simply perfect, we really enjoyed our 9 nights stay here and we will definitely come back.

The hotel sits at the end of Diniwid Rd, where there always tricycles and scooters available should you need a ride somewhere. Breakfast was great. Amazing stay! Our flight got canceled so we had to skip the first two nights of our stay, but the hosts were really kind and let us keep the booking. Initially we booked a double room but thanks to understanding of the hosts we ended up living in the penthouse and the room with veranda. Penthouse: AMAZING! The night sky view you get from the rooftop and the garden is insanely beautiful. The garden is huge and is perfect for evening gatherings, couple of drinks and sunset viewing. The penthouse has a separate dining room with kitchenette and all cooking supplies - even blenders, pans, glasses etc. The bathroom is very comfortable and spacious with all necessary amendments like bidet, toothbrush, shampoos. Double room with veranda: veranda is really cozy and the room is lovely too. But if you are considering between getting a penthouse or not, go for penthouse all the way! Breakfasts. You can select among 10 breakfasts choices and they will cook it for you right there. Breakfasts were always fresh and delicious, I highly recommend getting them with your stay. Location. It’s only 2 mins walk to Diniwid beach which is sort of secluded with not many tourists. If you want to go to white beach, it’s about 10-15 mins walk through the beach (not good for kids and old people) or can take an e-trike. around 10 mins ride to d-mall, and costs about 200php. Rooms are throughly cleaned, the beds are soft and huge, staff is polite and welcoming. They have three dogs on the property who will be sharing breakfast with you :) You can also ask for beach towels when you go to swim. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

Property is steps away from the beach (Less than 2-3 min walk). Staff were amazing. The rooms were excellent and as shown online. I was extremely comfortable and really enjoyed my time in Boracay and most of all at Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel. Hosta were very kind and eager to share any / all information about Boracay. This is definitely a gem in Boracay.

Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel is a wonderful property with wonderful management and staff. Property was just steps away from a beautiful beach and also a couple great bars and restaurants. Breakfast was good and filling. Rooms were just as shown online and everything worked well. Air condition was an added plus to the room. Great stay, nice property and an opportunity to catch up on some rest. Extra kudos to the wonderful staff at Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel.

Everything was perfect!

Choosing this hotel was a brilliant idea! I even extended my stay there. First off, the beach is just a few minutes walk away, a nice beach and not as noisy as White Beach. If it's your first time in the Philippines, like it was for mine, definitely go for it. Taxis are readily available at the corner, ready to take you wherever you need. You can also walk to White Beach. VERY CLEAN! Believe me, with my OCD, I'm telling you, it's very clean. Daily cleaning is provided, just remember to remind them. The bed is comfortable. Laundry service available as well. The staff is extremely friendly. After Thailand, I was quite surprised that it could be like this. I can say that this is one of the best places I've stayed during my entire time in the Philippines. I didn't eat at the restaurant, so I can't comment on the food.

There were, of course, some less pleasant moments: First, and perhaps most importantly, a design flaw meant water did not drain properly into the sewer, creating a pond after every shower. With my condition, this was deadly. I spent the first night just thinking about that puddle. The hotel is home to 3 dogs on a permanent basis. Dogs smell. I think you can guess the rest. My room was downstairs. It had no window, only a door to the garden. So, if I wanted sunlight, I had to open the curtains, and everyone walking through the garden could see inside my room. Lack of privacy and light. Every day, the room above me moved furniture and woke me up. Also unpleasant. I asked guys to refill the shower gel in the bathroom couple of times from day 2, but they never did until the end of my stay. I didn't want to remind them again.

Everything. The room is big and clean and it's very close to two very beautiful beaches (by walking distance). There are tricycles as well just at 1 minute (or less) from the hotel, so you can easily explore the island. The hotel is well maintained and very calm so ideal to rest and recharge. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We loved our conversations with the owner and she was very keen to help us. My son loved the cute dogs. Overall, a very nice stay and we'll gladly come back!

I stayed at the penthouse on the top floor and had a huge terrace in front of my room plus only one stairs up to the rooftop. The view is amazing, you are having a 360° view around that area. The hotel is on a hill so you can look very far. You also have a great view of the sunset from the terrace. It is also in a quite area so its best for a relaxing time. The bedroom has an ac and has the size of a normal hotel room. Bed is comfortable and you have many different lights in there. The penthouse has an additional room with a bar/kitchen, fridge and a huge dining table. Its great to stay indoors in case it is raining heavyily outside. The bathroom is super nice and big. It is very convenient, that the hotel is that close to the Diniwid beach. It is easy to walk there in two minutes. Any time i asked the staff for cleaning up or any other assistance, it was done immediately. Next time i go to Boracay i will definitely take that room again.

I only have two things to complain of: I was asking to book me a transfer from the airport to the hotel around 4 weeks before my trip. But when i arrived, the southwest company who is doing the transfer had no booking at all for me. It was embarrassing and annoying for me. In the end it was super simple to do my own booking at the airport, but please do not offer to book a transfer if you do not do it in the end. Second complain: In the description they say they have a restaurant/bar there, so i expected a bar/restaurant inside or at least as a part of the hotel. But that was wrong, the hotel only offers breakfast. The bar/restaurant is at the beach and does not belong to the hotel. So, please, do not mention a bar/restaurant if you do not have one at your hotel. Feels like cheating...

I recently stayed at Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel and it was a fantastic experience. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and helpfull making my stay enjoyable.
