Geweldige locatie en vriendelijk personeel. Goed eten.
Incredible jungle location staying in traditional huts.
The facilities are very basic, no hot water - but it’s part of the charm.
The location was amazing!! The accom was basic but we loved it.
The 277 stairs weren’t great but worth it for the stunning location.
Jungle feel. Very unique. Lovely Loboc river.
275 steps.
This was our version of paradise as we are wildlife photography enthusiasts. Heaven on earth!
It wasn’t a problem for us, but if you were unfit or had mobility issues then the steps are a bit of an adventure!
Staff were excellent, efficient and friendly. Owner was there and clearly treated staff with respect. The restaurant design was terrific
They ran out of beer
Rien
We booked this place for one night because of secluded location near the river.
We decided not to stay there because it was hard to reach. The path to the place is off road terrain. But worse were the amount of steos to be taken before reaching room and restaurant. This was undoable with my knee problems. As we didnt stay I cant really comment on the questions asked.
The accomodation is the middle of the jungle, a few steps from the river, just amazing!
There are very deep steps to get there, which are very uncomfortable 😅 The accomodation is very basic, could use some improvements- especially the bathroom/shower.
Logement en pleine nature ! Petites cabanes authentiques.
This place is really exceptional! The location, the huts, the river, the common area, the lush green in which it all unfolds..it's was truly a dream for me
The owner (I guess the European guy who was talking to me was the owner) is very inflexible and so kind. At least he was not to me. Rather rigid mentality when it come to accomodate the guests needs.
Great jungle experience by the river. Peaceful and quiet. Delicious food at the restaurant. Not too pricey. Jungle sounds 24/7 Great staff. Amazing people. Nice owner. Wooden huts are just beautiful from both inside and outside.
Music boats from 10am till 4pm on the river.
L,entorn, les cabanes i el menjar.
Les escales per accedir -hu
Wooden huts surrounded by nature make for a very special experience. Our hut was clean, we appreciated the individual mosquito nets above each bed. The owner has lots of receommendations regarding activities in the area. Breakfast was delicious, dinner was also good, the jungle view from the terrace is beautiful. We chose the river boat for arrival and departure with our heavy luggage, but were fine using the public bus during the rest of our stay.
The bathroom was functional, but could use some upgrade There are noisy party boats floating along the river throughout the day.
Fabulous setting. Beautifully quiet at night- just the sounds of the jungle around you. Staff were really friendly and so helpful in offering advice for activities and travel. Food was lovely
En-suite shower room was basic but fully functional. Only cold water, but then so hot in Loboc that wasn’t a great hardship
Places like Nuts & Huts are the reason we remember trips to distant corners of the world for a long time. This place perfectly reflects our way of traveling – close to nature, slow, relaxed, and authentic. Falling asleep and waking up with nature literally right next to the bed made the experience truly special. The views are beautiful, the atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the whole setting encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Nuts & Huts in Loboc is not just a place to stay, but part of the journey itself. If you love nature, simplicity, and meaningful travel experiences, this is a place you will appreciate and remember fondly.
Location. Swimming. Kayaking. Kitchen. Help from staff.
Soft mattress.
After reading several reviews of Nuts Huts I felt it aligned with what I like on vacation - a bit of adventure and rustic living. The food and service were good. We took advantage of the massage and wood-fired sauna services also!
The stairs are a bit of a killer on arrival and I had a large suitcase. It's best to enter with a backpack of what you'll need for the time you're there. But I was aware of that ahead of time and wasn't disappointed. On departure, I paid 150 pesos to take a boat from their dock to the town where I was met with our rental car. I didn't expect the insulation between the rooms to be so thin. Although you hear great nature sounds, you'll also hear your neighbour's conversations.
Amazing fireflies by the river in the evening, delicious food in a restaurant amongst the trees, nature and lots of wildlife. The staff were amazing and it is located near lots of activities. Quite tricky to get to by car so get a motorbike or get some decent walking shoes. There are lots and lots and lots of steps but it is worth it!
The river and the views of nature is so beautiful but prepare for when the riverboat engines go along with many very confident and interesting renditions of karaoke classics. The boats are active between 11am-4pm if you wanna join the party or go out and about to do touristy stuff :)
Lovely helpful staff, incredible location. Great food and fun activities on offer, we recommend having taking the hike to Loboc town! Friendly owner.
Easily one of our favorite stays in Bohol mainland, get all the adventure of lobos river without the crowd The huts are beautiful as is the land, the kitchen serves amazing delicious foods and the staff is exceptionally friendly
Amazing huts, great memories from this original place.
The road access is a bit complex. I recommend taking the boat when possible.
The view is amazing. There is food& drinks available (overpriced) and a relaxing space at the Restaurant. Stairs are mentioned in the no like section!!! There is a balcony.
BETTER READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK!! The road to get there 1 km- it's only for experience divers. (Most TukTuk refuse) in rainy conditions even worse. They offer a boat service for 150, but may you pay 200 on the day you require. The slippery uneven stairs - to get to the Reception (125+-) and again 150 stair and around 500 meter in the dark partly very slippery to get to the room, even we got there completely wet and exhausted, no one offered help with lagguage or direction. The room - basic outdated and Plexiglas for the "bathroom", without flash no hot water and bad smell, also to the neighbours, so you can see them in their room. No Kettle no service, no cleaning, no bin anywhere downstairs As well hearing every word and step from neighbours and staff yelling in the morning. That there are insects, any kind is expectible since it's in the middle of nature. But nobody is downstairs for any inquiries, so only solution is to walk the stairs. Restaurant - quite overpriced and low service. 10 pm, they shout down the restaurant and kick you out to go to your rooms No WiFi and almost no signal at all The beds- small, used and mouldy smell.
location is very beautiful and immersed into the nature.
Things to know before booking: • you can only get there by paid boat arranged in advance through the hotel, or via a very bumpy, steep and muddy 1 km road that is hard for scooters and that most taxis won’t take unless negotiated beforehand • no phone signal/wifi, no hairdryer and no hot water, which can be considered part of the experience • more than 200 slippery steps from the bedrooms to the hotel entrance, and nothing within walking distance • rooms are very (very) basic, cleaning is not attentive and many insects from the jungle (including big spiders) come in through the holes in the wooden walls, though this too can be seen as part of the experience
Nuts Huts was in an unreal location right on the Loboc river, with many activities available at or near the accommodation (kayaking, zip lining, springs and ping pong table). The food was reasonably priced and really delicious. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Highly recommend getting a massage! Beware of the 277 stairs down to the accommodation which really challenges your fitness! Recommend bringing enough cash to the accommodation as it's quite out of town but catching the bus into town was really easy to navigate if needed. Or hire a scooter for the day to explore!
Na
Nice isolated location - really nice to swim in the river. Restaurant food is really good value.
Difficult to access and this isn’t advertised before you book. Underestimated the stairs - makes more sense to have check in at the bottom where the rooms are. The easiest option is to pay for a slightly expensive boat. Also not advertised that there’s no wifi or 4g. Rooms were fine but bugs could easily access.
The location and general vibe of the hotel is very special: by the Lomoc river, you stay on a raised bungalow with the basic facilities to get you through your stay. There's electricity and running water, but it does feel a bit wilder than your usual hotel room. There isn't much around, but the price of drinks and food in the restaurant is very reasonable.
The hotel is built on a hill that goes from the main village to the river. There are more than 100 steps from the entrance to the lobby and then another 100 steps to the rooms, which can be a bit tiresome and difficult with luggage. Fine for the experience and a couple of days, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
Staff members were really nice and helpful. Location is unique, just at the heart of the jungle, which gives the place an special atmosphere.
The quality of the mattress is not great for a good sleep. Staff could implement a better mechanism to avoid insects coming into the rooms.
I loved that it was a tranquil place. Really deep in nature. The sounds of the birds etc was so peaceful. I loved it.
Be ready for about 275 steps every morning and every evening to get to the hat. Be ready for a bumpy ride on your scooter get there the place is cash only. But gives you unforgettable experience living in the middle of the jungle by the river with very very friendly cat and gecko.
A breathtaking location in a jungle on a river. Adorable huts with perfectly manicured trails leading to each one. The staff are all so incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly. Delicious, affordable drinks and food with vegetarian options! I couldn’t imagine having stayed anywhere else in Loboc! Like other travelers I met and chatted with there, this won’t be our last visit to the Nut Huts. Thank you to the staff Lisa, Sarah, Edna, Ann, and several others that I unfortunately can’t remember the names of! You all truly made our visit extra spectacular!
Food was very bland. Floating restaurants constantly passing by were noisy.
The staff is very friendly and incredible. The location is undoubtedly a magical place. The restaurant and herbal sauna are highly recommended.
the distance between the rooms and the restaurant
The people were super nice, view was incredible, really managed to deconnect from it all over there.
If you don't like the spartiate way of living then this accomodation is not for you but I knew what we were getting into and fully embrassed it. Really nice.
Beautiful location at the river! Nice huts and the Staff is so friendly. They serve good food, you can rent a scooter. We really liked the relaxing area.
The accommodation is perfect. The only thing which is a pitty, it that the floating restaurants with music passing by the whole day. But that will be at every accommodation at the river! Also kind of funny. We just stayed one day at the location and the other day we rented a scooter.
It is a gem in the middle of the forest, close to the river. The reception/ restaurant is open from early morning until 10pm and their food is delicious..there are hammocks and ping pong table to play. The views to the mountain from the restaurant is beautiful. You immerse yourself in nature.
Consider that from the main road to the access it is about 3km unpaved road, when it rains it gets muddy. Once you get there there are 277 steps to go down (and up if you need to leave) I didn't mind but good to know for other travellers. They offer a boat service to the "center" for 150 pesos p/p which I strongly recommend.
It’s a super cool place, location is amazing, right on the river. Very secluded and simple jungle feel. The hosts are super friendly and very helpful with anything you need. It is remote, so bare that in mind (but in a really good way)
Great facilities Gorgeous location. Immediate response to any queries. Excellent
nice place if u like exercise due to long climbing steep steps, although nature is what this place is,
Dreamy location, very unique, right in the middle of the jungle! Hard to access, which for us, just added to the charm. You can fall asleep listening to the jungle. I would absolutely recommend this place for the adventurous people, great price for a unique experience ☺️ Thank you!
Only downside for us was the food - since the place is very hard to access, you are stuck with the one restaurant, which has amazing views, but the food is very expensive and quite underwhelming. Since the owner is belgian, we tried the fries, it cost a fortune and it was saggy, oily and a very small portion for the price. Other foods were also pricey and quite avarage, but the vibes of the restaurant were great.
