My stay at the Little Garden Guest House was amazing. The room was extremely clean, aesthetic and spacious. The location is prime as you are very close to the Palace. Akshay is a great host and very accessible. The staff were very courteous as well. Highly Recommended :)

L’hôtel est idéalement situé au cœur de la ville, dans une petite ruelle à l’écart de la route principale, ce qui permet de profiter du calme tout en étant à proximité immédiate des principaux lieux à découvrir. Tout peut se faire facilement à pied depuis l’établissement. L’hôtel est vraiment une belle adresse. Akshay et son épouse, qui parlent français, nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur et ont été attentifs à nos besoins à chaque instant. Nous étions les seuls clients pendant cette période de l’année, ce qui a rendu l’accueil encore plus personnalisé. La chambre était spacieuse, confortable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit-déjeuner, servi dans un très bel espace, était agréable, même s’il reste assez simple. Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement pour son emplacement, son charme, la qualité de l’accueil et l’attention portée aux visiteurs.

Le seul point à noter concerne l’accès aux chambres, qui se fait par plusieurs escaliers pouvant être un peu contraignants avec des bagages ou pour les personnes ayant des difficultés à se déplacer.

Excellent guest house situé dans le centre d’udaipur mais sans une rue au calme. Les chambres sont propres et bien décorées, contiennent tout le nécessaire. L’hôte akshay parle bien le français ainsi que l’anglais et est d’une sympathie incroyable ainsi que toute sa famille et le personnel. Le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux. C’était top !

Nice family run guesthouse in a great location close to all the main sights. Akshay was a great host, suggesting places to visit and some good restaurants to try. The room was clean spacious and comfortable and all the staff were lovely. They helped us have breakfast in our room when my wife was unwell. The masala omelettes and pancakes were delicious!

Located conveniently in the old town with the Jagdish Temple, ghats, City Palace and Pichola lake just a few minutes walking distance. An old family haveli that has been tastefully converted. The room we were in was good size, clean and comfortable. There are many local antique pieces around the house and the family have a lovely shop selling miniatures, paintings and antiques on the main street, also worth a visit. The staff are very helpful. Free water (cold, if you ask) is always available. Out of town cars don't go to the property but the property sent an auto to get us and our luggage.

Would have loved to have a kettle and tea bags in the room. Theere are steps, so may be an issue for anyone with significant mobility issues.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the staff is attentive and friendly. The owner Akshay goes out of his way to make you feel at home and to provide all services you may need - including transport, meals, visit recommendations. Un petit paradis au coeur de Udaipur... Nous avons adoré cette guesthouse. Tout est joli est bien pensé par le propriétaire et son papa, qui sont très touchants et adorables. C'est beau, très personnalisé, on s'y sent bien, le personnel est très gentil et attentif, le petit déjeuner délicieux. C'est calme alors que c'est en plein centre. Bref, pour nous c'était parfait !

The location of the hotel is very good and close to many attractions, making it easy to get around. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size for one or two people. Although the bathroom was a bit small they were manageable. The breakfast was also quite nice, while the selection wasn’t very large, the quality was good. I also appreciated the helpful staff and the overall warm hospitality.

My room was a bit dark since the windows faced the inner courtyard walls rather than the street. This was acceptable, but the main challenge was the noise. Overall it’s not a very noisy place since it’s at the end of a blind alley but because the building is historical and the windows are built in a traditional way, sound travels easily between the rooms facing the courtyard. At times, I could clearly hear other guests talking or making noise in the evening, and occasionally sounds from nearby buildings or side streets could also be heard.

The whole style of the guest house and the pieces of art throughout and in the room was lovely. The staff were very friendly and keen to help in any way, Akshay had trained them well!

It is in a very central location which is great for sightseeing, but you can hear beeping horns all the time - we got used to it quite quickly but others might not. There are also a couple of temples close by which can be pretty noisy at times too - but we're in India, that is life!

This was the perfect stay in Udaipur! Right in the center of ol town but was a quiet space to relax after a day of exploring. Beautifully decorated and the staff so friendly and helpful. Great place to choose for your stay in Udaipur!

Ich kann die Unterkunft wirklich nur jedem ans Herz legen, der ein paar Tage in Udaipur verbringen möchte. Das Guesthouse ist in der 7. Generation in Familienbesitz und man spürt die Hingabe für die Sache in jedem Detail. Von der geschmackvollen Einrichtung, dem Mix aus Vintage und Modern, dem absolut zuvorkommendem Personal, dem tollen Essen, bis hin zum Besitzer und seiner Familie selbst, stimmte einfach alles. Darüber hinaus hatten wir hier die saubersten Badezimmer während unserer gesamten Indienreise. Man spürt hier einfach, dass das Guesthouse ein Herzensprojekt der Besitzer ist, was zu einer grundpositiven Gesamtatmosphäre beiträgt. Auch mit der Organisation unserer Weiterreise bekamen wir hilfreiche Tipps sowie Unterstützung. Ebenso ist das Guesthouse sehr gut gelegen, wir haben alle Strecken zu Fuß zurückgelegt. Da sich das Haus in einer kleinen Seitenstraße befindet ist es trotz der Nähe zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten nachts schön ruhig.

Tout. La chambre décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le calme. Le personnel à l'écoute. Et. cerise sur le gâteau, le patron est francophone. Situé dans la vieille ville l'accès est compliqué en journée, mais le patron vous envoie un tuk-tuk à l'endroit où vous êtes bloqué et c'est lui qui paie.

Clean and hygiene rooms, good breakfast

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was beyond our expectation. Once we get into the hustle bustle of Udaipur's Old City, it was a bit overwhelming. But once we got into the gates of this hostel, we felt instantly at home. Every corner was designed beautifully, especially our very beautiful orange room with the turquoise door. We took a lot of photo at the picturesque window nook :D. Not to mention the place was squeaky clean, the breakfast was nice, and the service is detailed and warm. We also got good recommendations for tour guide and craft shops. Akshay (the owner) surely had a great taste and a vision with his business. Will recommend this place to everyone visiting Udaipur who wants to have a memorable stay, not only a room to sleep.

Das Little Garden Guesthouse war mit Abstand die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Indienreise. Wir hatten ein gemütliches, sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer. Das gesamte Guesthouse ist sehr sauber und das gesamte Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden fast täglich gefragt, ob wir Room service benötigen. Auch Wäsche waschen ist gegen einen schmalen Taler möglich. Frühstücken kann man indisch oder kontinental. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage direkt hinter dem Stadtpalast. Von hier ist nahezu jede Sehenswürdigkeit fußläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten uns leider (außerhalb) sehr starken Reisedurchfall eingefangen, weshalb wir einen Arzt benötigten. Der Besitzer des Guesthouses organisierte innerhalb von 10min einen Hausbesuch und fuhr uns auch auf seinem Motorrad zur nahegelegenen Arztpraxis, wartete vor Ort und brachte uns wieder zurück. Service und Bemühungen wirklich 10/10.

Dass es in indischen Städten gerne etwas lauter ist, merkt man auch hier. Die Wasserpumpe oder bellende Hunde können da durchaus den Schlaf etwas stören. Ich empfehle Ohropax, unabhängig von der Unterkunft in Indien. In unserem Zimmer gab es keinen Fernseher. Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber es sei darauf hingewiesen.

The haveli is more than 200 years old yet very well maintained and decorated. The room was so cute and the view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was not a big one but they offer god Indian breakfast or continental one, which was also good. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very accessible to anywhere within walking distance so I did not take any rickshaw or taxi. Although located in the very center of the city, it was so quiet and calm in the haveli.

Almost nothing but the first time I arrived the airport the pickup car did not come. But they arranged alternative taxi and rickshaw smoothly. For Japanese tourists, it might be better to bring slippers or sandals as there are no such room shoes as usual in India.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem alten, wunderschönen Gebäude, wobei die Räume geschmackvoll eingerichtet sind. Das Personal ist ausnahmslos herzlich und hilfsbereit - sie tun wirklich alles, um sicherzustellen, dass die Gäste zufrieden sind und sich wie Zuhause fühlen. Alles war zudem sauber, das inbegriffene Frühstück ist superlecker.

Es kann abends recht kalt werden, v.a. der Fussboden in den Zimmern. genügend Socken einpacken :)

Notre séjour au Little Garden Guesthouse a été exceptionnel. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le personnel de l’hôtel, en particulier le propriétaire de l’établissement dont la famille habite cette haveli depuis 200 ans. Personne très sympathique, parlant français, avec qui nous avons bien discuté. La décoration de l’hôtel est magnifique, très soignée, avec beaux tableaux, statues,… Si je reviens à Udaipur, je reviendrai certainement à cet endroit.

我们在这住了三晚房间干净卫生间好用最好自带洗漱用品。位置好虽然有时段汽车不能通行但是走路也还好可以去皇宫和码头。 早餐很好吃可以要印度烙饼晚餐可以现做所以有点慢就是没有肉。旅管还可以包车我觉得不必在网站订直接跟旅馆订钱都给了本地人比较好。老板和员工都特别热情，真心要为每一位客人服务好的那种推荐大家来住。我个人觉得印度没有网上说的那么可怕，大多数都很友好当然你也别傻白甜，有点common senses 就行。嘟嘟车要先讲好价钱。我们住了安格拉，斋普尔，乌戴普三个本地人guest house 整体都不错干净无异味早餐好吃提供瓶装水帮忙叫车给我的感觉是他们真的想让游客有好的体验

Notre meilleure guesthouse lors de notre tour au Rajasthan ! Accueil incroyable, le patron qui en plus parle français est très prévenant et attentionné. Les repas très bons, le personnel aux petits soins, et les chambres à la deco telle qu’on la rêve. Comme toute la maison. Il faudrait que les autres guesthouse soient toutes de cette qualité.

A wonderful family run guest house in a sympathetically restored house owned by the same family for generations. The room was perfect - colourful, designed beautifully, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. Breakfast was good. We also ordered dinner one night which was very fresh and tasty. The guest house is really clean and the whole team takes a lot of pride in ensuring staff are cared for. Akshay is a great host - super informative and helpful - and his team is lovely.

We spent a wonderful 3 nights here. A gem nestled in the chaos and beauty of Udaipur and perfectly situated just off the bustling streets of the city. The Haveli has been lovingly updated. It was clean and decorated throughout, with modern bathrooms a good shower and plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the eclectic mix of furniture, use of traditional doors in the property and the antiques artistically displayed throughout. Akshay and his team are extremely welcoming making sure all our needs were met throughout our stay. And a special thank you to Shanti who organised our cabs and breakfast requests. Always with attention to detail and a smile. All sight seeing, restaurants , lake views and shopping experiences in Udaipur a traveller could wish for are within walking distance, or a short Tuk Tuk ride away. We enjoyed a fantastic city tour with Akshay who is super generous with his time and knowledgeable. He is clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge of history, architecture and antiques and his tour makes for a great experience . Thank you to everyone at the Little Garden Guest house

If you are a light sleeper you may be a little disturbed by the nighttime’s city noise however it was not a problem for me!

This guest house was a truly special and unique stay for us that we shall never forget. Right from the moment we arrived, the manager Akshay and his staff made us feel right at home and would always be happy to go above and beyond with whatever we needed from advice on the places to visit in the beautiful city of Udaipur to suggesting and organising a taxi drive that took us to our next accommodation afterwards whilst making a stop at a stunning temple we would not have known to visit otherwise, all at a very reasonable price. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them! The guest house itself is simply amazing; an old heritage property just like the photos show, spotlessly clean and located perfectly central to reach all the best parts of Udaipur! We cannot recommend this guest house highly enough to future travellers. Thank you for the wonderful and unforgettable stay!

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr geschmackvoll renoviert.Die Lage ist sehr zentral und sehr ruhig. Die Betten sind gross sehr bequem mit grossen Decken mit Bettbezug. Personal sehr bemüht. Frühstück und Abendessen sehr gut. Das beste Hotel unserer Radjastanrundreise.

Jolie maison familiale idéalement située pour visiter Udaïpur proche du City Palace. Grandes chambres bien décorées, lits confortables et grandes SDB. Personnel très accueillant. Petit déjeuner très complet et varié (yaourt, corn-flakes, crêpe au Nutella, œufs, toast...)

L'hôtel est situé dans une zone non accessible aux voitures (sauf rare cas ... assez flou) et cela n'est pas mentionné sur Booking, ni dans le message d'arrivée. Cela a créé une incompréhension avec notre chauffeur. Il aurait été appréciable que l'établissement le précise dans sa description ou a minima qu'ils envoient un message après le réservation. Après un appel à l'hôtel, ils ont organisé un transport en tuk-tuk de 5 min (à leur frais)

L’ensemble est totalement harmonieux, toute la décoration choisie avec goût et avec cœur. Et le patron , personnellement présent, aide avec compétence et amabilité ses clients s’ils ont des questions à propos de leur séjour.

This is a gem of pace to stay: you won’t regret it. The decoration, design and style is exquisite, authentic and wonderful. The staff all have a smile on their face and so helpful. It’s a great location too, being so close to all the local main sites. Really, don’t think twice, just book it!
