Both Thursday and Friday, they were not ready to serve us and was only ready by 06h45. Cant they serve breakfaset at 06h00?

Unfortunately, our experience with the staff during dinner was disappointing. While we were eating, some of the kitchen staff repeatedly gave us uncomfortable looks that made us feel as though they wanted us to leave. It was particularly noticeable because the restaurant was quiet and we were among the few guests remaining. We eventually felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. At check-in, the receptionist kept taking calls without attending to us.

Their computer systems are very slow, on arrival around 10pm l waited for almost 45 minutes outside their hotel with kids and laggage to be checked in. I then paid for breakfast and dinners for 3 days, l didn't like being asked to pay and made to sign each time l had my meals. It was so frustrating to the point that l would feel out of place among other guests until l made a complaint, of which l dont think it helped because l could tell l was a supect in their eyes each time l went in and out of their dinning area.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Very friendly staff helped to move my room to most convenient room however there was n vending ice machine right infront of my room that made more noise than the rooms facing the busy road.
The ice vending machine was right across the bedroom making allot of noise. If that could be moved to reception or dinning area will be convenient for all people. We travel and want to sleep in peace not be disturbed by noise.

We booked in at 17:00 and our room still wasn't ready. We waited 30 minutes before we could check in. The towels were filthy and full of hair, it was disgusting to say the least and so unhygienic.The taps in the bathroon are a mess, water sprays everywhere. The noise level is terribly disturbing. Never going back and would not recommend for guests who want service and cleanliness.

The bathroom was filled with water after taking a shower, it seems water was seeping through the shower doors. The bedroom carpet had a pink stain, it seemed to have been there for a while now. Some parts of the bedroom carpet were wet from the water seepage, which is pretty much disgusting. For all I know the pink stain could have been a mould build up. I would suggest you do a room inspection before choosing to accept room 373.

The buffet on Saturday evening could have been better. The cow heels & roasted beef were not well cooked. Wanted to order dinner from the a la carte menu but we were told that the food would take up to 45min preparation time. The coffee station in the room was not replenished on Monday, the towels were short of one hand towel.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026I was received exceptionally well by an extremely professional gentleman who goes by the name of Albert who was so kind, friendly and treated my Mom and I with so much empathy. Through Albert's service, whenever I visit Pretoria, there is no place Id rather be then Garden Court Hatfield. Also August Shuttle Service was an absolute breath of fresh air. Never in wildest dreams did I imagine my stay to be so memorable. Ohhh Albert deserves shares in your establishment, I dealt with them all but Albert is truly good a service delivery and he deserves a Managerial Job, And bonus from you, because I have not closed my mouth about Hatfield. The Buffet for breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Albert made sure I had everything that I needed. It was truly a memorable time for me. Buffet Dinner and Buffet Breakfast was excellent. We superbly well looked after.Thank you Garden Court Hatfield, because of Albert and August Shuttle Service, I will forever be a Garden Cour Gal.

At the time of booking, breakfast appeared to be included in the reservation details, which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. However, upon arrival, I was informed that breakfast was not included in the rate paid and that I would need to pay an additional R340 for breakfast. This was quite inconvenient and disappointing, as the booking information was not clear. As a frequent traveler, I generally prefer hotels that include breakfast in the room rate, and I make my booking decisions based on that information. I kindly request that you review my reservation and clarify why the breakfast inclusion shown during booking was not reflected at check-in.
