Kitchen closed before 10.00. Carvery did not look appetizing. Steers in the end was kak. Spur across the street was rude like only untrained stupid black patrons. The worst Steers food ever, Suggestion, keep kitchen open when town has a big event

The bar fridge was not working

It was quite comfortable and efficient. I used the laundry service which worked well.

There is limited reception waiting area but slightly odd lounges dotted around the accom areas.

The location of the hotel was very good and the general area in close proximity to the hotel felt safe. The checking-in process was very efficient.

The Room needed some maintenance work, we didn't get sufficient towels on one occasion. And the breakfast is expensive for what you get.

A pleasant hotel with clean functional rooms. The breakfast was exceptional with a wide range to cater for most tastes. The omelette Chef made a masterpiece, not just an omelette.

No bedside table on my side of the bed. No plugs for phone charging next to bed. We were limited to charging one phone at a time. The duvet seemed to be a bit small for the bed. Sorting of waste outside the bedroom window early in the morning. Not nice waking up to the sound of bottles breaking.

I could rest there was this banging noise by my door.Left to go report, the noise was not taken seriously, and if it was scary cause i was alone.Came back to be locked outside my room had to go back and report it and it was a struggle opening it again.

Room 518 - not sure if other rooms affected. Aircon remote was faulty, aircon had a high pitched whistling sound (old and fins all broken or jammed open). The window from the room did not close fully so the noise from the club adjacent to the hotel was very loud. Fould smell emanating from the shower drain, so had to run the bathroom extractor constantly - even room service/housekeeping left it on deliberately. Poor upkeep & too much money for that kind of accommodation. At that price one can do far better in Hatfield. Very disappointed.

I didn’t like the fact that a breakfast package you need to book a night before. When you wake up. You might feel not feel well, women have morning sick and might not be be able to eat right away. Tell the restaurant supervisor that I’m grateful 😘

We have requested a baby cot. They promised to bring it, but never did until the following day. For the price we pay; naaah it is a small rooms; we were really disappointed.

Missing furniture in room, aircon was not working optimally and set in Fahrenheit, club next door was pumping music till 02:00 with an upcoming event the next day wasnt ideal, broken items in room. Gym hotel uses closes at 15:00 which we werent told about when picking up access cards.

Unfortunately very disappointing that being a marriot brand it was dirty The window was broken in my room it should not close properly and the aircorn was so filthy and old The stay was a very eerie feeling Totally not worth the money i paid for my stay Definitely not going back to stay there

Booking without visacard is not possible. It is better if the hotel creates a system or option for online booking without visacard for visitors from developing countries

They need to change their furniture

the meals were great, breakfast, and dinner. the staff also are friendly especially those in the restaurant. however, the staff during breakfast times were cold and looked unhappy for whatever reason

poor attitude by the staff who served during breakfast times, they looked too serious and no smiles the internet also was erratic and unstable most of the time

The room was comfortable. A variety of food was provided during breakfast, and I was afforded an opportunity to choose fish, since I do not eat any meat or pork. I really appreciate it. Thank you to the chef, and keep it up.

They were supposed to prepare a sleeping sofa for us but nobody bothered to do it.

The overall location was good . The security guard was the friendliest of them all

Rooms were very outdated, parking bays were so small. There was a cockroach in the espresso machine during breakfast time. I couldn’t even finish eating. I notified the staff members who simply removed the expresso machine

i ordered a family room and when i arrived i was told the family is fully booked.

The Housekeeping service. They came at first, I then asked them to come back later...later on I tried calling but couldn't reach them Until I left the room since I was in a hurry. The aircon was not working. So imagine my room not being clean..plus I just took a shower..it was all stuffy when you'd come in.

The staff was really welcoming ,friendly and helpful ...the room was very clean, it was on the 6th floor so it was quite... was able to work at night without any noise enteruptions

My room was quite cold I asked assistance with aircon and we both had to figure it out without any luck cos their maitainance guy had already knocked off.The breakfast buffet could do with more options its not nice at all and in the evenings I mostly ordered from the menu instead of the buffet as it did not have appetizing options otherwise their regular menu is ok I enjoyed the mutton stew they need to do better in this department though

The shower was hot and wifi was strong. Customer service was decent

Security is a concern as anyone has access to the floors with the rooms. The elevator is by the main door and doesn't require card access, so anyone from outside can go into it and without passing reception.. Also the room wasn't as clean and as 'fresh' as shown in the pictures. It was dusty and some items are faulty and broken. Moreover the dishes I used were outside my door for two days. Housekeeping came and tidied my room but left the dishes.

Massive gaps in the flooring in the room , really not acceptable from a health and safety stand point.

Excelente localização, ótimo custo-benefício e excelente serviço de todos os funcionários, desde a recepção até a equipe de limpeza. O quarto conta com frigobar, secador de cabelo potente, chaleira elétrica, chá, café e água cortesia. Há um convênio com a academia no shopping em frente ao hotel que facilitou muito a vida! Vale muito a pena ficar no Protea Hatfield. Está bem localizado, próximos a restaurantes, shoppings, à estação Hatfield do Gautrain, embaixadas e à Universidade de Pretoria. O bairro é seguro durante o dia, durante a noite a falta de postes nas ruas gera receio. Vale a pena jantar no hotel pelo menos um dia, são cerca de R280 para comer à vontade.

O wifi falha bastante nos quartos.

I loved the hotel room and the staff kindness at any times I've reached them.

Restaurant prices were a bit high.

It is the same venue where the training takes place.

The price, the view and the noise at night. I paid R300 more for my room compared to what I paid a month ago, i.e. R1300 vs R1000. Where I had a room with a view previously, I got a room with a solid brick wall outside my window this time. I shared my dissatisfaction with the staff at reception and was given another room when it was acknowledged that I was not in a great room.

The breakfast meal option is an essential inclusion in the stay. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is prepared wonderfully. And the staff at the restaurant are very friendly and kind. The room is clean and lit well. The tv channel options are up to standard. The bathroom has above-standard soaps, gels, lotions. The in-room food delivery service works very well: meals are delivered in a reasonable amount of time & these meals are sufficiently heated. There is enough cupboard space for your clothes. Conveniently, there is a shopping centre across the road. And there are several fast-food restaurants near the location. There is a good selection of teas & coffees in the room, with milk & sugars. Aircon works well.

The room telephone line is a problem, at times: I had to repeat myself several times to be understood. While in the shower the cleaning staff making their rounds just opened the door. The fire alarm was set off late one night: but that was because a guest showered without closing the bathroom door. This disturbed sleep. Staff need to remind guests about closing the door when showering. Certain guests upon arrival late made a noise. Guests need to be reminded to be considerate of others. I requested to print a document one morning and this request was accommodated but the printers (there are two) were not operational.

Buffet dinner replenishment was slow. Usually, I take my dinner between 7.30 and 8.00 pm. During all the four days of my stay, I used to find most items on the buffet almost finished and replenishment could take long.

I did not eat breakfast because I was disappointed by the buffet that was not a buffet dinner so I thought even breakfast was going to be the same

It was a terrible experience. Booked a room for 3 adults - a small room with a bed and a sofa bed, with no linen. After some effort, they brought linen, but the sofa bed was falling apart and so uncomfortable. Why offer a room for 3 adults if the bed is so old and broken? Dinner downstairs - we ordered - an hour later... no, they were still busy dishing. Please don't visit this hotel. Everything is either broken or outdated. Breakfast the next morning - I had to pay extra for the 3rd person - Hello! I've booked and paid for 3 adults! The City Lodge around the corner = excellent.
