Endroit magique, un petit coin de paradis, entouré de verdure à quelques centaines de mètres de la plage. Personnel hyper chaleureux, piscine très propre et logement confortable. Possibilité de louer des scooters ou faire un délicieux massage. Kayak à disposition On recommande chaudement !

L’environnement autour du logement était magnifique. Notre gîte était très confortable et propre; nous avons pu nous y reposer en toute tranquillité. La piscine était superbe, les enfants ont beaucoup aimé y jouer. Le soir, nous avons également pu profiter d’une agréable balade en kayak sur le lac qui borde le logement. De plus, la mer est toute proche. Nos hôtes ont été fantastiques: tout le monde était toujours au petits soins pour nous, et les petits déjeuners ont été les meilleurs que nous avons pu déguster au Sri Lanka. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement.

A little place in paradise. Unfortunately we stayed only 2 nights. We stayed in the off season so had the place almost completely to ourselves. Beautiful well maintained and large rooms with very comfortable beds ( with mosquito nets) and a good shower. There were a few ants around in the bedrooms but I think that’s to be expected considering it is in the middle of an amazing jungle like garden next to the lagoon. Loved to explore the lagoon with the free kayaks and swim in the absolutely amazing pool. Amazing breakfast prepared by the most friendly young ladies. Although it was off season we loved having coffee next to the amazing beach where you could play in the waves and swim at the more sheltered beach further in town. Several restaurants were open and really recommend Mango Shade a few minutes walk from the accommodation. We were all really sad to leave and I hope to return for a longer stay next time. Overall this was our favourite place during our 3 weeks holiday in Sri Lanka.

Shower / hot water set up - no instructions so took me a bit to work out there was one tap & shower head with purely hot water, another tap and shower head for cold water, that I then had to align to get a warm shower!

The breakfast was really good value and across the 4 days they got used to our preferences. A great find in Tangalle away from the road to make the resort very quiet. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Absolutely beautiful property, just steps from the beach. The gardens were so amazing with wildlife and birds abound. Host was lovely, breakfast delicious.

Die wunderschöne Anlage liegt versteckt direkt an der Lagune. Zum strand sind es zu Fuß nur 2 Minuten. Es ist sehr ruhig, das Personal und der Eigentümer sind unfassbar freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen. Wir kamen an und haben uns auf Anhieb so wohl gefühlt, dass wir direkt eine Nacht verlängert haben. Grandioses Frühstück! Die Klimaanlage war leise.

We had wonderful stay at Hidden Garden Tangalle. Our room was on second floor with a balcony where we could sit in the shade and enjoy the view of the beautiful garden full of palm trees and flowers. It was magnificent. The room was very well planned with large bed with mosquito net, a fridge, table chairs, a large bench with water cooker and plenty of room to keep organized. The room also had a ceiling fan and AC. The bathroom was also very nice. Everything was very clean and had a fresh scent of flowers. The garden have several small houses and nice pool. We got a very nice breakfast that was served in the 'admin' house. The breakfast was included in the price. It was a combination of western / Sri Lankan and very good. At your stay you can borrow a canoe to paddle in the lagoon or you can join a class yoga. The location of the hotel is 150 m from the beach. A small path leads you there. Along the beach there is a small street with lots of restaurants of different kind. This is avery nice part of Tangalle. I can highly recommend a stay at Hidden Garden

Came for 2 days, stayed for 6 - which should say it all. Just in case you need more: great hotel + breakfast, great lagoon + free kayaking, great location.

Dadurch unser Flug gecancelt wurde, verbrachten wir hier 10 oder 11 Tage. Wir habe uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das ganze Personal ist super freundlich. Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Der Garten wunderschön. Man kann sich gratis Kajak ausborgen. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben

Hôtel à 2 mn de la plage, niché dans un grand et beau jardin, au calme. Grandes chambres avec chacune sa terrasse. Belle piscine. Personnel très gentil. Possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner sur place, service blanchisserie, prêt de kayak pour se balader sur la mangrove. Nous y étions avec nos 3 enfants et avons bcp aimé l’hôtel et l’ambiance à Tangalle en général, la plage est très belle et sans déchets, et il y a un endroit protégé à l’abri des rochers pour se baigner.

La chambre était grande et belle. La vue sur la mangrove était superbe et la plage à deux pas. Nous avons même des langurs gris le soir en arrivant qui mangeaient les feuilles des palletuviers et plein d'oiseaux magnifiques dans le jardin très bien entretenu. Nous avons pu emprunter gratuitement les canoës pour se balader dans la mangrove. La piscine est très grande et très propre. Le personnel est très gentil et souriant. Le petit déjeuner en plus de la chambre est très copieux et bon.

Charmant et paisible hôtel où l’on se sent tout de suite bien. L’accueil est très chaleureux et attentionné. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable, parfaite pour se reposer. La piscine est agréable et bien entretenue. L’hôtel est proche de la plage et entouré de nombreux restaurants, ce qui est très pratique. Il est également très facile de trouver des tuk-tuk à proximité pour se déplacer. Des cours de yoga sont proposés sur place, 2 fois par jour, sur le rooftop.

Le petit-déjeuner était parfait, le personnel au petit soin. La piscine et la sortie de kayak très chouette. Possibilité de réserver des massages et cours de yoga.

Pas aimé que les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres, mais des portes/volets en bois uniquement. C'est trop sombre à mon goût.

This place is peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely breakfast will set you up for the day, enjoyed in the lovely dining area looking out over the wildlife area. Fabulous pool and well located to the beach and lots of great restaurants nearby. Tuktuks always ready to take you out on trips to places around and about.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

We loved everything about Hidden Garden. There was a group of 6 of us and every single one of us had the best time ever. The amount of wildlife on offer is truly amazing and this just adds further to the relaxing vibe. Our room was big and airy with a balcony, fridge and nice shower. The owner Nilan and his staff were a fantastic hosts who always had time for the guests and Nilan was also very knowledgeable about many subjects. Hidden Garden is situated just a few metres from the beach and the local bars and cafés. Breakfast is available each morning (Eggs/toast/fruits/pancakes and Tea or Coffee ) at Hidden Garden at a very reasonable price and was great value for money. There are also free Kayaks available to the guest to explore the lagoon further as well as a lovely clean relaxing pool. So, in conclusion I would like to thank Nilan and all his staff for making our stay such a special experience. Hopefully see you all again next year.

Un lieu magnifique qui porte très bien son nom. On a l'impression d'être loin de tout et en 2 min à pied par un petit chemin, on est sur la plage de Tangalle avec ses petits bars. Très belle chambre, une piscine et des canoës gratuits pour faire un tour du lagoon. Personnel très sympa, bref tout est parfait !!

Sehr netter Hotelbesitzer, zurückhaltend und dennoch immer da. Hat zuverlässig alles organisiert wenn wir eine Unternehmung in die nähere Umgebung machen wollen, hat gute Restaurants empfohlen. Frühstück war bestens bei traumhafter Lage direkt an den Mangroven und dann noch die Möglichkeit 2x täglich Yoga zu machen auf Rooftop.

Tout ! L’environnement incroyable juste à côté d’une mangrove, le personnel adorable, l’emplacement qui permet d’être au calme tout en pouvant aller dans le centre à pied. Et vous prenez votre petit déjeuner en admirant les singes, les écureuils géants et les paons sauvages, c’est magique ! Un seul regret, ne pas être restés plus longtemps.

Set away from the beach and the strip in a quiet location with a lovely pool and of course garden. Some rooms look better than others, we were lucky to have a top floor room above the trees with nice views of the many birds and always a breeze. Very good breakfasts and excellent coffee.

Shower was hit and miss. As many showers are in Sri Lanka.

Lovely little resort in Tangalle. I loved the pool area and that we could use the canoe to explore the mangroves. The staff and particularly the owner is extremely friendly.

Ein tolles Hotel mit grossem Garten nur 20 Meter vom Strand entfernt. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und die Moskittonetze mit den 4 Bettpfosten super gelöst. Der Pool hat eine angenehme Grösse und ist sehr sauber. Der Gaerten wird täglich gehegt und gepflegt und das kleine Restaurant am Rande der Lagune ein echter Kraftort. Das absolute Highlight sind die gratis Kajak um die angrenzende Mangroven Lagune zu erkunden. Ob es wirklcih keine Krokodile hat, bezweifle ich jedoch trotz entsprechender Aussage des Hotelpersonal. Trotz 2 Meter hohen Wellen, sind wir täglich im Meer geschwommen. Für Nichtschwimmer und Kinder jedoch sicher weniger geeignet. Es hat aber mehrere Wellenbrecher, welche für etwas mehr SIcherheit sorgen.

Wir haben nichts vermisst und waren mit dem Hotel mehr als zufrieden.

In dieser Unterkunft haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist super, der Zimmer angenehm groß, der Pool ein Traum, das Frühstück sehr lecker und die Gastgeber sehr freundlich. Eine wunderbare Oase. Toll, dass man die Kanus benutzen darf.

Wat een pareltje! Heerlijke kamers, prachtige tuin en heerlijk zwembad. Ook kun je bij het hotel een heerlijke massage doen. We hebben onwijs genoten hier!

Der Service war super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir durften noch bis 16 Uhr nach Check-out unser Zimmer nutzen und wurden auf Nachfrage zum Flughafen gefahren. Die Unterkunft ist eine Oase im Grünen mit super Lage und Strandnähe, Pool, freien Kajaks, Yogaterrasse und schönem Gemeinschaftsbereich ☺️👍🏼

Il s’agit absolument du meilleur hôtel de notre séjour au Sri Lanka. C’est un havre de paix, tout est parfait; la proximité avec la plage, la gentillesse des gérants et personnels, et surtout l’hôtel en lui même qui est niché dans un joli jardin magnifique piscine possibilité de faire du canoë gratuitement dans une superbe mangrove etc etc. Sans hésitation notre coup de cœur du séjour!!

Sehr schöner gepflegter Garten, mit herrlichem Pool, toller Frühstücksterrasse mit Blick auf die Mangroven. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber mit Familie und Personal. Unterkunft sehr sauber, Moskitonetze über den Betten. Mit den hauseigenen Kajaks konnte man nach Belieben die Mangroven erkunden. Massage konnte kurzfristig organisiert werden. Kurzer Weg zum fast menschenleeren Strand. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Einfach nur schön. Es war für uns die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise. Wären gern länger geblieben.

Weitläufiges, sehr gepflegtes Gartengrundstück ohne Straßenlärm mit Pool und wenigen Gebäuden, die sich darauf verteilen. Trotzdem kann man das Meer rauschen hören, weil es nicht weit entfernt ist. Gutes Frühstück in schönem Frühstücksraum mit Blick auf einen Bach und viel Natur. Kostenloser Kajakverleih, um auf der Lagune und in den Mangroven paddeln zu gehen. Wenn man möchte kann man dort sehr weitläufig paddeln gehen, auch wenn es bei Google Maps anders aussieht. Freundliche Eigentümer, die für uns eine Safari im Bundala Park und einen tollen Transfer nach Ella organisiert haben. Zudem gute Restaurantempfehlung in der Nähe: Mango Shade! Unser Zimmer war sauber und geräumig - wir hatten den Queen Room im obersten Stock. Ein toller Aufenthalt 😊

Super logement dans un magnifique jardin au calme à 2 pas de la plage. Ce sont 4 petits complexes de 2 logements (1 en rez de jardin et 1 a l etage) assez loin les 1 des autres pour se sentir seuls. La piscine est très grande et propre et bien agréable car l ocean était déchaîné. Il y a plusieurs hamacs dans ce beau jardin, le petit-déjeuner est très copieux. Restos juste à coté et tuks tuks partout pour se déplacer. Magnifique lagon qu il est possible d explorer gratuitement grâce aux canoës mis à disposition.

Ici c'est Luxe, calme et volupté L'hôtel propose des chambres disséminées dans un jardin exotique d'une beauté hors du commun. Ici tout est beau, les paons passent devant la chambre, la piscine avec ses carreaux bleus marine est très belle. De warme welkom van de familie. De locatie, het mooie domein sluit naadloos aan bij de jungle. 100 meter wandelen van mooie stranden, kwartiertje wandelen naar het centrum via weg parallel met zee met veel gezellige bars en restaurants. Zeer verzorgde grote kamers met groot terras en alle faciliteiten. Heel lekker ontbijt.

Geen opmerkingen. We hebben er 3 nachten verbleven en volop genoten.

Right in the middle of nature (plenty of wildlife such as monkeys and peacocks), a beautiful garden and pool and really close to the beach as well! The room was spacious with great A/C. The staff were amazing and the breakfast delicious! All in all wonderful stay!

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön ein wenig versteck direkt an der Lagune. Die Anlage (ein kleines Paradies) inklusive Pool ist hervorragend gepflegt. Es gibt mehrere Kajake, die kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen um durch die Lagune zu paddeln. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und super. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Hidden away just from the main beach road, Hidden garden is a beautiful and tranquil haven to relax surrounded by nature. Our room was spacious, clean with air conditioning and fridge. Although the balcony is shared this wasn’t a problem for us. We loved sitting watching the birds, monkeys and even a giant squirrel pass by. Location is ideal close to the beach, restaurants and a small convenience shop. It was super easy to hop in a Tuktuk to venture further along the coast. The hosts sachini and her family were so lovely, breakfast was generous and delicious. The pool area is beautiful we spent lots of time relaxing here at the end of our long adventure through Sri Lanka Last but not least we wanted to mention the added benefit of having the kayak. This is such a wonderful way to explore the mangroves.

Das Zimmer war geräumig, klimatisiert und es gab einen großen Kúhlschrank. Das Bett war bequem. Die Anlage war ruhig. Das Frühstück morgens war sehr umfangreich und gut. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Der Nachbar verbrannte am Nachmittag seinen Múll. Und die Klimaanlage sog den Gestank in das Zimmer ein. Aber dafür kann der Betreiber des Secret Garden ja nichts. Man musste nachmittags einfach die Klimaanlage für ein paar Stunden ausmachen und den Deckenventilator nutzen.

Peaceful place close to the beach. There is a very beautiful garden and the staff is most welcoming and helpful. Also, if you like yoga, there’s a yoga school operating in the hotel area.

All the reviews are very consistent about the high quality of this place including the garden and pool and location and large size of rooms. It is a very private place. There are lots of good restaurants close by. Pick me app works in this area.

Bel hôtel, situé sur la plus belle partie de Tangalle. La piscine est superbe et très propre. Le jardin est magnifique. Mention spéciale pour la possibilité de faire du canoë gratuitement dans la mangrove.

We absolutely loved the pool and serene surroundings. Very relaxing with the hammocks. We had a 7 month old baby and the 2 female staff couldn’t be lovelier to her. The breakfast was amazing and varied. Free kayaks if you want to go out onto the river. Such a great location too with the best part of Tangalle beach close by and the beach restaurants.

Staying on the top floor, with a baby and buggy was a bit annoying. But we should have requested not to, didn’t realize.

Keine trockenen Ablagemöglichkeiten im Bad. Nur 1 Stuhl zum Tisch. Service (Müllbesitigung, Moskitocoils, Teller für Obst etc.) nur auf Nachfrage. Achtung, google.maps führt zum Hintereingang,. 200 m Koffer schleppen.

Great location, quiet yet just behind the beach with its bars and restaurants. Lovely tranquil garden with clean pool and loungers. Run by very friendly and helpful family. Clean, spacious bedroom with comfortable bad and pillows. Good breakfast looking out over peaceful nature. Recommend an early start at dawn for kayaking around the lagoon

It was a haven of tranquility. Breakfast overlooking lagoon and watching birds, giant monitor lizards, monkeys etc was exceptional. The rooms are beautiful. The location, set back slightly from the beachfront restaurants yet within 1mins walk is just perfect. The pool and gardens are great. I loved yoga tangalle which was on site. With dawn and sunrise yoga sessions and more.
