Resort Hof Weissbad

Really beautiful rooms and lovely spa facility, great location, very relaxing. Rooms have clean spacious bathrooms, the balcony and view was great, the hotel garden and restaurants were nice. Library area and bistro are great, especially for introverts traveling alone.

Flies? In the rooms? With a fly swatter provided. 🤔 Not my idea of a luxury experience even though I understand it's 'nature'. 🪰 The spa snacks and floor snacks E.g. 1 carafe of popcorn and 1 carafe of seeds? was not sufficient for all guests. Cute idea, but needs to be more practical (better snacks, popcorn for everyone not just the first two people who get it every hour). I personally think the hotel was a bit overpriced for the overall experience. Beautiful but expensive for what the experience is 😬 And loud kids with pool noodles in a spa pool- not what I expected.

Bellissima struttura, pulizia ottima, servizio in generale ottimo. Posizione buona, a due passi dalla stazione, molto comodo per girare. Colazione eccelente, molto assortita. Qualità del cibo in generale buona.

Il servizio al ristorante la sera a volte lasciava un po' a desiderare. Abbiamo aspettatto veramente tanto, anche solo per ordinare l'acqua. Ma forse era un caso.

Sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Das Personal war aufgestellt, motiviert und sehr freundlich. Die Aussenanlage ist sehr grosszügig. Die drei Aussenbäder sind gut verteilt.

Der Eingangsbereich, Bar und Sitzgelegenheiten könnten eine Auffrischung vertragen

Das Hotel ist sehr gut erreichbar (vom Bahnhof). Die Crew ist immer freundlich, hilfsbereit, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Angebot an sportlichen Möglichen ist riesig und das Essen war mega👍👍👍.

Excellent location, amazing property and amenities. The food was outstanding as were the extras like free water, tea, coffee, fruit, etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times.

Die Lage ist super. Wir hatten Zimmer mit Süd Lage und von der Seite Sicht auf d Säntis. Die Service ist ausserordentlich gut, professionell und freundlich, Frühstück ist kurz gesagt fantastich mit von Allem genug was das Herz und Magen begehrt. Alles perfekt Sauber und auf dem neuesten Stand.

Alles hat gefallen... höchstens das Doppelbett an Stelle von 2 einzel Bettdecken eine Doppelbettdecke.

Das Hotel ist gut zu erreichen. Es hat genügend Parkplötze zur Verfügung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig und geräumig. Das Essen im Bistro war sehr gut und es herrschte eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Der Frühstücksraum war sehr schön und es hatte alles was es braucht. Es war super, dass wir den Kaffee selber holen konnten. Auch die Möglichkeit mit der Getränkestation auf der Etage war toll. Der Wellness Bereich war super schön. Es hat genügend Liegemöglichkeiten und ganz toll war, dass es Getränke und kleine Knabbereien und Früchte gab. Völlig neu waren für uns die dünnen Saunatücher, wo man sich einwickeln konnte. Wir finden das genial. Wir hoffen, solche Tücher irgendwo zu finden, für weiter Saunabesuche. SUPER! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es war alles tip top. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.

Ausserordentlich freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam in allen Bereichen. Schöner Wellnessbereich, gutes Essen, idyllische Lage direkt am Waldrand.

Eher schmales Doppelbett und sehr unbequeme Liegen im Wellnessbereich (Holzliegen mit dünner Auflage, die sich schon nach wenigen Minuten hart anfühlten).

Tive um problema no pagamento e já estou há mais de 1 semana tentando resolver.

Der Empfang, das Zimmer, das Essen und das Spa waren einfach genial!!! Mein Partner und ich konnten so sehr in allen Belangen entspannen. Vielen herzlichen Dank.

Standort, Freundlichkeit

Very good breakfast buffet with freshly prepared eggs and lots of choice for bread, croissants and more. Very nice wellness area (new part, the old part is okay but a bit lacking. Very nice winter hiking way next to the hotel with candles illuminated.

A bit crowded the first evening at dinner. It was better the second evening. Th dinner (half board) was good, just sometimes a bit too fancy. Thanks good they proposed some down to earth alternatives (local Appenzeller food)

Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit! Die Badelandschaft wunderschön und das Essen ein Genuss! Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet und wir bedanken uns beim ganzen Team für die wirklich hervorragende Arbeit die sie leisten! Für uns wäre das Hotel 5 Sterne wert!!

Frühstück, das Prrsonal mit einer aussergewöhnlichen Gastfreundschaft.

Sowohl das Abendessen wie auch das Frühstück waren absolut hervorragend !! Auch das Wellness Infrastruktur war überdurchschnittlich.

Gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Brauchtum der Gegend wird im Konzept mit einbezogen und super umgesetzt. Eine wunderbare Deko- und Floristik erfreuten die Augen. Neue Sauna-Landschaft sehr ansprechend (die Liegen sind für meinen Rücken zu hart). Die Nähe zum Bahnhof und die einfache Erreichbarkeit von Appenzell-Stadt (Weihnachtsmarkt) war super. Der medizinische Masseur hat mir eine andere Theorie zu meinen Gebrechen aufgezeigt. Vielleicht wird es ein Game-changer?

Unser Zimmer befand sich gerade unter der Küche. Somit war es am Abend sowie schon früh am Morgen etwas laut. Die Ausssicht war auf ein anderes Dach oder Parkplatz.

Very welcoming and friendly staff!

Der SPA mit dem klug designeten Sauna-Turm. Es war eine Wohltat, sich im hellen Holz und den grossen Saunaräumen aufzuhalten und nachher mit Aussicht auf Fluss und Herbstwald in einem Hängesessel zu schaukeln. Das ganze Hotel drückt eine unauffällige Aufmerksamkeit aus, dichte Erfahrung im Unterstützen von Entspannung und Gesundheit und ich fühle mich jetzt nach dem Aufenthalt dort ausgeruht und zuversichtlich.

….ich verstehe, dass keine Köchin/Koch dazu gezwungen werden sollte, sich für vegetarisches oder gar veganes Essen zu interessieren und es auf interessante,frische Art umzusetzen aber das vegane/vegetarische Menu hat -besonders beim Nachtessen- nur wenig Aufmerksamkeit/ Kreativität erhalten und nun ja: es schmeckte mir nicht.

Viele Leute extern - im Bad (kaum Platz) und Frühstückbuffet überlaufen (ganz viele externe Gruppen).

Facilities and location are nice. Staff was friendly.

This felt like a nice nursing home. So many people (seriously 75%)here were elderly and/or in need of mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches etc). This really impacted the vibe of the hotel and made this feel like a convalescence facility, not a hotel.

Pool and sauna great

I was given the impression we would have a Mountain View balcony. The checking clerk referred me to a manager who wants $200 more to move to an “upgraded” room. I was really unhappily with the bait and switch …

Die Einrichtung ist etwas bieder, es ist ein Hotel für Altersheimreisende ,wir 65 und 66 Jahre waren die Jüngsten 😂

All hotel signages and printouts are exclusively in German, giving the impression that the hotel is mainly welcoming German- speaking guests. I strongly suggest including English as a second language. Coffee machine is not in the room but on each floor working only 5 AM to 9 AM which quite restrictive. No minibar in the room.

Friday night dinner was perfect but saturday night was so so! Would be better to have some more options, menu is a bit limited. Sevice is very good at all levels:)

Breakfast was very good. Staff were efficient and very attentive.

Wish they could have ordered better weather conditions 😊

Pool, location

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like! The location was beautiful, parking easy, the spa amazing, my room and the view off the balcony was beautiful! Everything was very well thought out. I liked the refreshment stands on each floor, I thought it that was a really good touch! It wasn’t a massive hotel so getting around was super easy, the restaurants were lovely and the food, well, yum!! All the staff seemed very pleasant and friendly. Nothing was too much :) the spa area is phenomenal, so so relaxing! The outdoor pools and area are fabulous, if you enjoy nature then this is the place! I had a manicure whilst I was there and my therapist was lovely! Very friendly too. I don’t think I’ve felt that relaxed in a long time, thank you.

I have stayed here several times. It is very expensive so it makes a lovely treat. Personally I like that it is all „auf Deutsch“. I like to experience a place from that country‘s perspective, plus I can work on my German!

I like everything there, comfortable room, free water at any time, free tee, fresh mint with tee, herbal guarden, food, kindness of staff, everything. Will be back again. :)

Food in the restaurant and service was not good and for this kind of category disappointing. Entrecote looked like a sausage and was very hard - could not eat it but they did not offer a replacement. The german waiter was not very friendly but some members of the service were ok.

A beautifully located hotel. The staff was all very helpful and extremely nice. Breakfast, as well as dinner, were delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Very comfortable parking lot beneath the hotel with an elevator from there to all floors. Not a cheap hotel but relative to prices in Switzerland very high value for money.

If I have to pick one thing so the interior design was a bit too modern with colors that do not fit the ambiance of the hotel and its surroundings. Nothing significant and surely I'll be very glad to stay there again.

This property is amazing, I didn't expect such a big hotel and the one of this quality. Everything is great and really thought out. Great breakfast, great sauna, great restaurant (if the chef works up mains a bit, I really see Michelin star for them in the future, the starters are already there, btw). Great bar with live music. Tea and water and fruits are available 24 h on every floor. Honestly, everything was perfect.

20 h closure time for the pool and the sauna is too short when you are hiking, even in winter. 22 h would be much, much better :) But that's only criticism I can find :)
