Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Came to visit my daughter at the university. 5 minute bus ride to her halls of residence. Fantastic location in a lovely street. 5 min walk to the train station and next to centre of town. Room was lovely and staff very friendly. Would stay again.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026The room was *very very* spacious. I wasn't expecting anything near this. The working space was comfortable, the bedding was appropriate, and the amenities were tip top. The shower, bath, and toilet were separated in a way that a larger traveling cohort would find useful. I was on a solo business trip so this didn't apply to me. Nonetheless, I will keep this in mind for future.
The noise. Walls are thin, and sometimes conversations from neighboring rooms are annoyingly comprehensible. I recommend soundproofing.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The location is awesome, it's very clean and helpfull people on the reception both on the first and second day. The young gentleman gave us a lot of tips for places to walk and eat and the lady the second day helped us with our keycards which had an issue.
It was perfect, I would give them more stars if possible.

Het gebrek aan gordijnen waardoor er vanaf 5uur licht in de kamer kwam, de rolgordijnen werken niet goed genoeg.

Dat er na 22:00 uur geen personeel aanwezig is. Hier zijn we achter gekomen, nadat het brandalarm is afgegaan. Gasten hebben werkelijk alles zelf geregeld/ondernomen. Geen instructies vanuit het hotel, dag later hebben we hier niks van gehoord. Dus hier ligt nog een verbeterpuntje qua communicatie. Pluspunt brandalarm werkt wel goed ;-)

Balkon zu einem geschlossenen Innenhof eines Hauses, das durch Studenten/ junge Leute bewohnt war. Hof vermüllt, es wurde viel gefeiert...unsere Begrüßung war, dass sich ein junger Mann mehrmals lautstark schwallartig im Hof übergeben hat. Zimmer mit Balkon zum Hof nicht empfehlenswert. Zimmer wird durch ein Oberlicht nicht richtig dunkel. Dusche und Toilette haben milchige Glastüren..auch das verstärkt die Helligkeit. Fenster in Dusche und Toilette lassen sich nicht öffnen. Weg zum Parkhaus ca 15 Gehminuten. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Upon arrival, my partner and I were upgraded for free. The receptionist was very kind and explained all the features of the hotel thoroughly, including the fact that on our departure date, the route back to the train may be changed due to a local marathon. I appreciated this above and beyond information. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the price was very reasonable for what was received.
While the stay was exceptional, I decided to opt-in for the breakfast addition. I found that the variety was lacking for a typical hotel breakfast, although the items present at breakfast were homemade (Banana Bread, Bread Loaf, etc), and I believe that is where the value stems from. The homemade items were delicious, though. There is a natural light skylight in our 3rd-floor room, which made going to bed difficult due to the lack of a way to control the light in the room.

Having sockets in the wall that allow you to plug in your phone without using a plug. This is standard in Ireland but it does not yet seem to have reached the Neatherlands.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Excellent location, 5 min walk from train station, 10 min to anywhere in the inner city, yet still in a quiet side street. Very clean and friendly staff, good WiFi. Breakfast selection was rather basic, but quality was excellent and the fresh fruit was nice.
In the first night, my room was freezing. It was maybe unusually cold for the time of year, but for that price, this shouldn't mean I have to be cold in my room. Heating wasn't working and AC settings didn't change anything. Upon mentioning this to the staff the next morning, the heating was switched on. Also, it's nice that they kept the historic windows of the building, but as a result they seem not very well insulated. The shower head is of the fixed wall-mounted type. I realize this may be personal preference, but for me a reason to stay elsewhere next time.

Sorry it's a small item but pillow was way too big - BUT to be fair they did have an alternative in the wardrobe but I didn't find it until day 2 ....... so my bad but first night was not great nights sleep for me.

For the size of the room and how standard the amenities were, it is quite expensive. Perhaps Groningen is just expensive to stay the night in general but I don’t think it is worth what it costs.

Bathroom smelled of mold. Bathroom Floor tiles had almost no grout. Towel hanger broke on us by just putting a small hand towel on. The water cocker leaked at the spout which burned my hand. Beds were very very soft no support.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2026Het hotel is heel praktisch gelegen. Binnen tien minuten sta je op de Grote Markt of het Groninger Museum. Het personeel is aardig en behulpzaam. De binnenkomst in de lobby met watertap en vers fruit voelt prettig. Omdat Groningen vol met leuke cafeetjes en restaurantjes zit hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt. Uitchecken tot 12u op zondag viel in de smaak!
De kamer in het hotel was heel prettig. Wel waren er her en der dingen niet meer helemaal op orde. Lampje dat los zit, deur die niet vanzelf dichtvalt en een hoek waar het stuc wat van af is.

We zijn niet zo van de open badkamer faciliteiten zoals bad in kamer en doorzichtige deuren naar wc en douche, liever alles bij elkaar in een gewone badkamer. Maar dat is ons eigen schuld, niet goed opgelet.

Bij binnenkomst hing er een behoorlijk penetrante vochtige geur. In beiden kamers kon je ruiken dat er een lekkage was geweest in het gebouw. Daarnaast was de TV verbinding erg slecht. Bij het checken of de kabel werkte schoot de hele verbinding naar binnen waardoor je kon merken dat daar al vaker mee gerommeld was. Bij een van de kamers liep de wasbak niet door en hing het handdoekrek in een hoek van 45 graden. Daarnaast barsten in de ruiten naar buiten toe. Bij de andere kamer zat er een badkamer tegel flink los. Na alle goede reviews hadden we er meer van verwacht.
