Das Valley Hostel ist schon eine besondere Erfahrung, mitten im Dschungel. Die Volunteers sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Die Nähe zum Park ist echt unschlagbar.

Das ganze ist sehr ‚instagrammable‘ aber leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür fand ich es recht teuer für das was es am Ende ist. Da hatte ich bessere Unterlünfte in Kolumbien

Fijne locatie, mooi uitzicht en goede sfeer. Personeel (onder andere Camilo) erg behulpzaam.

Die Nähe zum Tayrona Nationalpark ist perfekt und man hat ein echtes Dschungelerlebnis durch die Lage mitten im Grün.

Muy cerca del Parque Tayrona, accesible, hay muchas actividades para hacer durante la estadía dentro del lugar. La comida es exquisíta y el personal muy amable, todos todos. Angela estuvo el último día de nuestra estadía conversando y enseñandonos cositas del lugar, lo cual valoramos muchísimo!!!

It was a bit further away from the Tayrona park entrance than I thought. I had to take a bus and could not walk.

Horrible experience. All my cash directly stolen in the dorm 15min after arrival. I booked 2 nights, I had to leave due to that problem after 1 night, not reimbursed the 2nd night. No camera, no support from the staff. An absolute nightmare

Amazing view

Came for the view, was definitely worth it! From the road it is a little walk to get there but you get very clear instructions. You can take a moto, but not perse necessary. The food is amazing!! Great kitchen! The vibes are great, lots of places to enjoy the view, there's a wonderful pool and jacuzzi. Good music and activities. Enough showers and very clean as well. A lot of space around the bed to put your stuff. Definitely recommend! From the road you can take the public buss very easy all the way to santa marta or palomino , just raise your hand for the white and green one. The person handling the money will help you, and knows where you have to get off. Definitely recommend instead of expensive options. Even with big backpack is possible, they take care of it.

Todo fue perfecto

La ubicación del hostel es muy buena. Hicimos varios paseos, de manera autónoma, por alrededor del hostel y vimos muchos animales y otros alojamientos que están muy cuidados y en calma. Destacamos el personal femenino de recepción y al hombre que se ocupa de toda la flora del espacio, fueron simpáticos. Habíamos reservado dos habitaciones diferentes por disponibilidad y una de ellas no tenía mosquitera en la cama, aunque en las fotos sí que aparecía. Ibiza nos ofreció quedarnos en la misma habitación todas las noches, la cual sí que tenía mosquitera. Esto es por una razón de salud, no por capricho. Agradecemos muchísimo este cambio. La limpieza de la habitación privada estaba muy bien. A destacar que dan toallas para la ducha y las duchas tienen gel y champú. Hay un espacio para dejar las mochilas por si quieres pasar la noche en el Tayrona. La comida es cara, pero la cantidad es mucha, lo normativo en Colombia.

La música durante todo el día y el volumen. Con todo lo que habíamos visto en Booking, pensábamos que era un hostel tranquilo donde ir a estar en medio de la naturaleza y escucharla. La realidad es que es más un lugar de fiesta. Para nosotros fue bastante decepcionante, puesto que no vimos en ninguna fotografía ni descripción que el alojamiento fuese un espacio de fiesta en la selva. Supuestamente no se puede fumar en la piscina ni consumir drogas, los huéspedes e incluso los trabajadores fumaban dentro de la piscina e incluso marihuana.marihuana. Las fotos son un expectativa vs realidad, parece que la piscina es algo grande y las zonas comunes, pero no. Además las fotos están anticuadas, muchas de las cosas están rotas o dañadas. Lavandería extremadamente cara y además nos entregaron la ropa totalmente arrugada. Prendas que no se arrugan, estaban arrugadas, imagínense. Comida y bebida extremadamente cara. He estado en hostel más adentrados en la selva y para nada tenían esos precios. Los hombres recepcionistas están todo el día ligando, cosa que entiendo pero intenten no hacerlo tan directo delante de otros huéspedes. El trato se nota demasiado diferente :) El único animal que vimos en el hostel fue una iguana mientras estábamos en el baño. El resto de animales que aparecen en las fotos de Booking, que dan a entender que pueden llegar a estar incluso bastante cerca, not found. Entendemos que esto es cuestión de suerte y paciencia, pero con la música tan alta, complicado que los animales quieran acercarse. Les preguntamos por los autobuses para Santa Marta y nos dieron mal la información, le preguntamos precio para ir en moto al Tayrona y también era otro. Por el precio que tiene, nos esperábamos un lugar más cuidado y con una energía muy diferente. Eran nuestros últimos días en el país y fue una pena llevarnos tal decepción, porque no sean claros con el tipo de alojamiento que ofertan.

La posizione, la gentilezza, il clima positivo, la vista

Sovraffollata. Sarebbe un posto meraviglioso ma ci sono davvero troppi ospiti, se vai per divertirti e per la compagnia è ottimo ma rovina quella che dovrebbe essere l’essenza della giungla. Il venerdì la musica è alta fino all’1 di notte, la piscina e l’idromassaggio sono sempre pienissimi. Sembra più un villaggio turistico che un alloggio nel bel mezzo della giungla. We kregen een gratis upgrade en de kamer was fantastisch! Wakker worden met de geluiden van de natuur is zalig. De open kamer beviel ons uitstekend.

Hostel ligt op een prachtige locatie.

Maar de hostel was heel onhygiënisch wat jammer is op zo een mooie locatie. Ook vond ik het eten en drank veel te duur en het verblijf in een privé kamer was ook veel te duur voor wat je maar kreeg.. Ik zou hier geen 2de keer een kamer boeken.

Teniamos una studio con vistas a la montaña y por tanto estaba abierto al exterior. Esto hace que el suelo este permanentemente sucio. Tuvimos la mala suerte de que varios murciélagos se instalaran en la lampara de la habitación haciendo mucho ruido y haciendo sus necesidades básicas sobre nuestra cama. En recepción lo dijimos pero no hicieron nada ni se preocuparon. Adicionalmente la mosquitera tenia un agujero tapado con una tirita sanitaria. Deberian cuidar esos detalles.

Too many very young people just waiting to party, the young staff always trying to flirt, and the difference vs social media in which it is a bit overselled. It's a beautiful place but as many others in Tayrona (not clean, many dogs, much noise, dirty pool water, a bit expensive inside)

Personnel sympathique et cadre idyllique. Pratique pour rencontrer du monde et la nourriture était très bonne

Impossible de dormir avant 1h du matin car les chambres n’étant pas fermées nous entendions la musique très fort. Pas idéal lorsqu’on veut se lever tôt pour aller au parc. Cela fait partie du cadre mais assez compliqué d’accéder aux douches et toilettes surtout en plein milieu de la nuit. Impossible de connaître les prix des conso et nourriture avant d’être sur place, donc à éviter si petit budget car assez cher et pas possible d’aller autre part surtout le soir

L’endroit est beau, l’ambiance est sympa, il y a des restaurants sur place, on a bien aimé le fait qu’il y ai des taxi moto pour nous amener

La musique est juste trop forte jusqu’à 1-2h du matin, ça empêche de profiter de la nature, de s’entendre parler et de dormir même en chambre privé quand on a envie de partir en rando le lendemain ça a gâché notre expérience d’immersion dans la jungle

Great outlook and location close to Tayrona

Facilities often broken, including the pool deck. Pool was a bit dirty. It was a shame you weren’t allowed to bring your own food in, especially as they were poor with allergens. I am gluten free (celiac) and they had very little English or understanding for the importance of gluten-free assurance. I was ill multiple times, it’s a shame when I was only able to eat from the hostel restaurant as there’s not many other options close by. It was also way overpriced.

De algehele sfeer is super, erg gezellig. Het beeld wat wordt geschetst (sociaal, jungle, hangnetten) klopt met de realiteit.

incredible unreal "out of a movie/documentary" location thats absolutely unforgettable. amazing staff, food, pool, cabins, friendly people, staff, and immaculate vibes. 100/10 if I could rate it that high! Camila, Laura, Angela, Jose (staff) were just amazing!

Cet hostel, c'est comme un match Tinder : en photo, il est magnifique… puis tu arrives et tu te demandes si c'est vraiment la même personne. Les photos donnent l'impression d'un petit paradis tropical, mais la réalité est bien différente. Dès qu'on s'éloigne des endroits mis en avant sur les photos, on découvre une tout autre réalité : des espaces mal entretenus, des déchets et une impression générale que les problèmes sont simplement déplacés hors de vue plutôt que réellement réglés. Les photos ont été prises il y a des années. Elles ne sont plus du tout représentatives de l'état actuel de l'hostel et donnent une image complètement trompeuse de l'établissement. En lisant les réponses aux avis négatifs, on retrouve toujours le même discours : "ce n'est pas vrai" ou "cela ne s'est pas passé comme ça". Au lieu d'assumer les problèmes et de les corriger, l'établissement préfère nier l'évidence. Malgré tout, le personnel est vraiment sympathique et la nourriture est excellente, même si elle est un peu plus chère que dans les autres établissements de la région.

Le site est magnifique, calme on se sent en pleine nature. L’aménagement des espaces communs est très agréable. Les bâtiments sont bien intégrés dans le paysage. Simple et efficace. Le personnel est très accueillant.

Dans cette zone isolée les tarifs pratiqués sont très élevés. Le système de bracelet pour régler ses consommations seulement à la fin est assez « dangereux » pour le portefeuille. Les dortoirs de 4 dans lequel on était ne donne pas beaucoup d’intimité puisqu’il est grand ouvert sur les escaliers.

Wunderschöner Ausblick

Auch wenn es offiziell ein 4 Bett Zimmer war, hört man auch die Geräusche der zwei Dorms nebenan. Die Dusche war leider nicht zu gebrauchen. Ich hatte mir den Fokus etwas mehr auf Dschungel vorgestellt und nicht einen DJ am Pool, aber vielleicht waren meine Erwartungen einfach anders.

Der Ausblick ist wirklich einzigartig!! Wir haben in einem eigenen Bungalow geschlafen! Der Vibe war uuuunvergesslich- sooo schöne Momente. Wir nahmen an dem Salsa Class teil- das war total nice. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und lustig. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis!

Leider war das Bungalow echt dreckig!! Am Boden waren viele Flecken und so war es auch nicht sauber (mir ist bewusst dass man im Freien schläft). Das Bett war ein bisschen unbequem und der Überzug löste sich immer. Für eine Nacht ok :)

El area de la piscina y la vista al valle es muy bonita, la comida es muy buena. Los baños con vista a la vegetación me parece divertido. La ubicación no es cerca a la carretera, pero no esta mal, se puede hacer bien caminando. Las habitaciones estan bien, aunque son bien rústicas.

La entrada del hostal esta muy sucia a primera impresión es feo, chapas tiradas y muchos objetos tirados. Que no se puede cocinar, me parece mal y no esta escrito, llevamos mucha comida pensando que si se podía, te hacen si o si comprar la comida porque no hay nada cerca, aunque es rica. NO HAY MONOS, el hostal pone música y dj todo el tiempo es imposible que hayan animales, deberían respetar mas el ecosistema. Lo mas feo es que dejan fumar en el área donde uno come, compramos desayuno y tuvimos que corrernos de ese espacio porque todo el mundo nos fumaba al lado, es un horror para la gente que no fuma. El hostal esta pensado para europeos jovenes que les gusta la fiesta y el alcohol.

Great quality food at good prices available on site. The hostel area is beautiful and there are many spaces for people to spread out and relax.

The music going through the entire day was annoying because I would have liked to hear wildlife (kind of the point of coming out into the jungle!). More information about how to get to the hostel would be very helpful (I.e. the bus, which bus stop to get off at, describing that you need to cross the river to walk (15 mins) or there will be moto taxi available.

Todo en Este Lugar fue increible, El personal, El ambiente, la comida, El precio Esta muy Bien ubicado, ideal para hospedarte después de u visit al Tayrona y disfrutar al dia siguiente de sus instalaciones

La ubicación, aunque es retirada, te permite estar en plena naturaleza y tiene unas vistas muy bonitas desde el comedor y una zona de hamacas. La comida está rica y es abundante aunque nos pareció algo cara. Tanto la cocinera como el chico del bar eran muy majos. La habitación limpia y en muy bien estado la mosquitera y bien colocada. Los baños tienen vistas a la naturaleza y jabones ecológicos. La piscina está bien también. Tienen filtro de agua para rellenar botellas. Tienen juegos de mesa en el comedor y zona de billar y pingpong en otra zona. Nos permitieron dejar las mochilas un día antes para poder pasar una noche en Tayrona.

El colchón de la habitación es de muelles y se notan muchísimo y estaba algo desgastado e inclinado. El comedor tiene buenas vistas pero igual podrían mantener mejor los cojines ya que se nota mucha suciedad. El wifi solo llega a las zonas comunes (comedor y piscina), no llega a las habitaciones.

The staff were rude. Facilities are very run down. Pool and communal areas are dirty. Smells of sewage in the restaurant area. Very difficult to access. Food poor and overpriced. Rooms are very overpriced and not to a good standard. We were forced to leave the property early and they refused to refund us despite us having no electricity in our room. We didn’t even a have a working fan or wifi. The offer free products to travellers for good reviews hence the high rating. Avoid.

Super leuk hostel met leuke gezamenlijke ruimtes en goed eten.

Bij de sommige kamers staat dat er een hot tub inbegrepen zit bij de kamer. Dit is echter niet het geval. Ik zie dat dit inmiddels niet meer op de foto’s staat, maar nog steeds wel in de beschrijving.

Die Lage ist wirklich toll! Das Personal an der Rezeption und bar sehr freundlich.

Das Essen und Trinken ist für Kolumbien sehr teuer. Hinzu kommt, dass 6% Gebühr bei Kartenzahlung hinzu kommen - bei Hostels in der Umgebung sind es nur 3%. Außerdem war es leider Recht dreckig. Uns wurde gesagt dass auf Grund der aktuellen Schließung vom Tayrona Park nur wenig Mitarbeiter da sind. Aber saubere Toiletten und Tische fürs Essen wären trotzdem ganz nett..

Schöne Lage ruhig in der Natur

Essens Portionen sei es Frühstück oder normale Mahlzeiten für kolumbianische Verhältnisse viel zu teuer und wenige Portionen, das selbstgemachte Brot ist sehr hart und zum Abendessen kriegt man gefühlt 3 Löffel Reis als Beilage also ich finde bei Reis oder Brot sollte man nicht sparen , Ausserdem geschmacklich verbesserungsdürftig wie gesagt frühstück sehr mager in anderen hostels ist frühstück inclusive hier wird viel abkassiert für bischen eier mit steinhartem brot ohne kaffee oder saft dabei
