Huang Mountain Wangfeng Hotel

The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Our host was very kind and helpful, and they helped us organize our trip to Huangshan Mountain, which made everything much easier for us. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and if we ever come back to Huangshan, we would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hospitality was honestly some of the best we have experienced during our travels so far. You can really feel that the owner runs the hotel with genuine passion and puts a lot of heart into what he does. He went far beyond what we expected and helped us organize everything we needed, including tickets, hiking trips, transportation, and many other things. He was always available to help and gave us great tips that made our stay even more enjoyable. We also had a fantastic evening with the owner, who invited us for a beer, some Chinese wine, and delicious snacks. It was such a nice and genuine experience and made us feel very welcome, almost like visiting a friend rather than staying at a hotel. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Everything was comfortable and taken care of with great attention to detail. The owner's mother was also incredibly friendly and lovely, which added even more to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this was much more than just a hotel stay. The hospitality, personal attention, and kindness made our experience truly special. We are very grateful for everything and would definitely stay here again!

Absolute best experience you could ask for end to end. We added an extra night to our stay because we liked it so much. It’s a family run hotel and they are extremely nice. They helped organised our itinerary for each day and let us use their washing machine all free of charge. We don’t speak any Chinese but they still made a massive effort to help. The grandmother Chen Yama is extremely cheerful and giggly and the boss and his wife are also great. The value for money is insane. The rooms are super nice, clean, and modern with a great great bathrooms and an awesome view of the river and lights. Would definitely stay here again and reccomend it to everyone

Really comfortable room. Boss is really nice, picked us up at the bus stop and helped organise all our mountain passes/ shuttle and cable car passes and other attractions. Without a Chinese phone number it would have been difficult or impossible for me to do myself. Also laundry facilities. Wifi was good and also location is walking distance to one of the mountain entry areas.

Nos sentimos bien acogidos desde el primer momento y nos gestionaron absolutamente todo: el traslado en coche desde y hasta la estación de Huangshan solo 5 yuanes más caro que el bus, los billetes del parque teleféricos...todo. Con tanto continuo con WeChat. Sencillo pero muy limpio y bien ubicado para visitar las Yellow Mountains.

The host is incredibly helpful, helped us with everything regarding going up the mountains, helped with route, tickets and timing. Good rooms, great location with bus stop to the mountain only 10 minutes walking. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Huangshan.

Everything was great!

The hospitality was incredible! The host of the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, he explained us exactly how to navigate Huangshan mountain. He also always answered every possible question we had over WeChat. The location was perfect, around us was everything we needed: a convenience store, many dining options, little stores to buy walking gear and even a foot massage parlour. It’s also very close to the bus station for the shuttle bus up the mountain, which was just about a 10min walk away. The room was also really spacious, modern, neat and comfortable!

If I want to be nit-picky - There was no hand soap in our bathroom and there wasn’t much furniture in the room to put our things. But overall nothing to really complain about, overall an amazing stay!

The hosts were incredibly helpful. They helped us plan our itinerary and book anytime access tickets. They made sure we had everything we needed, using translators to help navigate the language barrier. The location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants and an easy walk to the bus stop up for the Mountain.

Excellent stay! Plenty of shops to choose for food, the owner were friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient. I had a pleasant experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

We arrived into town very late and the hotel helped us arrange a ride from the train station. The owner of the hotel welcomed us and gave us a very thorough explanation of how to navigate Huangshan the next morning. He provided us with a map and explained how to catch the bus and cableway up the mountain. There were plenty of restaurants and shop nearby as well. The hotel is located walking distance from the transportation up the mountain and is about an hour away from Tunxi.

Very nice hotel on the river, super friendly staff. The room was very clean, the owners were extremely kind and knowledgeable about Huangshan, they helped us organise the itinerary for our mountain tours and let us leave our luggage in the hotel for several days while we were sleeping on the mountain. The owner pretends very welcoming, but that's only because he tries to make money off you at every step. He recommends food places only because he gets a rebate, not because they're good. ( it was confirmed by many around). He offers to book a taxi but charges much more than the real price. When I questioned him, he lied, saying the price at 7:30 AM is different than in the afternoon. But we booked taxis privately, and multiple drivers told us the rate is the same all day in their city. Would not recommend.

Rengeteget utazom, de nagyon régen volt utoljára olyan pozitív élményem mint ebben a hotelben. A szállás adó olyan kedves, figyelmes és segítőkész ami manapság már nagyon ritka. Igazi családi vendég szeretet. A szoba tiszta és tágas. Úti tervét adtak ami a legjobb útvonalat tartalmazta. Transzfer szolgáltatást is lehetett kérni tőlük valamint ajánlottak egy éttermet ahol remek helyi ételeket tudtunk ki próbálni. Csak ajánlani tudom őket minden téren. Az egész ott dolgozó család tagnak szeretnék újra köszönetet mondani.

Ez nem negatívum. A szobában található egyszer használatos törölköző annyi időre amennyi napot a vendég ott tartózkodik. Számunkra teljesen megfelelő volt. Ellenben ha valaki inkább törülközőt preferálja, akkor vigyen magával. Minden tökéletes volt és csak ajánlani tudom.

The staff were so helpful, especially with visiting the mountains. Despite a language barrier we used apps to communicate and they were great. The location is easy for visiting the mountains and the beds were very comfortable. They even let us keep our stuff in the room for the night we were in the mountains which was great to not have to pack up.

The bathroom could have done with a stronger vent but it wasn’t a big problem, the bathroom just didn’t smell too fresh because its a small enclosed room.

Sehr sympathische und freundliche Mitarbeiter und ein hilfsbereiter Besitzer! Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt! Das Zimmer war schön, groß genug und durch die großen Fenster nicht zu dunkel. Der Besitzer hat uns ein Taxi für die Fahrt zum Hotel und auch zurück zum Bahnhof zu organisiert und er hat uns ausführlich die möglichen Wanderrouten erklärt. Wir konnten kostenlos Wäsche waschen. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Sehr hilfsbereite, zuvorkommende Eigentümer, die alles von Shuttle bis hin zu Ausflügen in die Berge und an Wasserfälle organisiert haben. Die Lage ist sehr gut, der Shuttle in die Berge ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Im hauseigenen Laden gibt es alles was man brauchen könnte. Das Zimmer war sauber und sah aus wie auf den Fotos.

Our first room was very dirty. In the second room, we found crashed glass on the floor, while our little baby was walking all around, so wasbt very safe.

Die Panoramafenster sind phantastisch. Die Gastgeberfamilie ist sehr hilfsbereit. Sie hat sehr gute Transferangebote und unterstützt liebevoll die Tagesplanung, wenn man das möchte. Die Kommunikation erfolgt problemlos über die ÜbersetzerApp. Im Hauseigenen Laden bekommt man alles für zwischendurch. Warme Essensangebote oder Obst gibt es direkt auf der angrenzenden Straße.

The accommodation is exceptionally well-maintained, with spacious rooms and bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. He has extensive knowledge of the mountains and provides great advice on the best hiking routes based on the weather.

The service provided by the boss and his wife was excellent. He will arrange the shared transport from and to train station. He also helped us to call DiDi.(e-Hailing service). The hotel is 5 level high without lift. The boss helped us to carry up our big luggage. I choose to stay at 5th floor is because I need the biggest room which is located at 5th. floor. Ground floor is a mini mart which was operated by the boss. His wife also a Licensed Tour Guide which I've booked her to bring us to climb Huangshan. We don't need to climb and walk unnecessary path while she will led us to the scenic spots directly. The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain and just a 10 minutes walk to the entrance.

Close enough to walk to ticket office and bus to gondola. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Owner helped me plan my walking options on the mountain - great help.

We loved our modern room in a central location. The beds were nicely soft, the shower was great after a day of hiking, and the room was clean. The staff made sure our stay was comfortable and were always there to support us; whether it was planning a hike, deciding where to eat, or arranging transportation. We felt very welcome and would 100% recommend this place!

The hotel is perfectly located for climbing Huangshan. You can walk to the entrance. And the best time to do that is in the morning before the crowds arrive. The hostess was very accommodating, but unfortunately she doesn't speak English. But I've gotten used to that by now. She organized a pick-up for me and a shuttle service that also took me back to the train station. And all for an unbeatable price. You can definitely use the service. The hotel is above a small shop, so you won't go hungry. There is also a delicious bakery nearby. The internet was really good and stable, it was a pleasure. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a good hotel.

It was a new or refurbished building. Large modern room, no mould yet in the shower. 10 minutes walk to the Huang Mountain entrance and bus to cable car.

No lift, 4 floors of stairs but the owner kindly carried my bag.

The location of the hotel is great if you want to go on a hike to the Huangshan mountain. The staff is very helpful, they arranged a shuttle for us to get to the hotel for a very reasonable price and also helped us hire a car to see different venues. They were also very friendly, kind and did everything they could to help us have a great stay. On the first day, they showed us a map with different trails on the mountain and what can we do up there.

Not much really. Plenty of eating options but no western breakfast or bread anywhere. Fortunately I found some 油条 （churros-like).

As a family-run hotel, the service was personal and attentive. The location was absolutely perfect - the bigger and more expensive hotels are further away from the mountain and offer no view of it, and while they offer shuttle services up, the short walk to the mountain is a great experience in and of itself. The owner helped us book a shuttle from the train station to the hotel as well. The rooms were recently renovated when we stayed, with a nice shower stall (which was necessary after the mountain climbing!) and comfortable beds. All amenities one would generally need are included. While there is no elevator, there are only a few floors and the owner carries the luggage up. For the price, an excellent choice.

The accommodation is beautiful and clean. The host is nice and helpful. Downstairs under the accommodation, the host has a shop where you can shop basic things as rainy coat, hygiene staff, food and drinks, as well alcohol. Tickets for nearby attractions can also be purchased from the host.

Bed was good and good location

Its just a room in a large building, no reception, bar or anything. Stayed here for 3 nights, room was never cleaned, not even the bins, no change of towels and the floor was already dusty and there were dead insects on the floor. Staff doesn't speak English, communication is through translation apps.

Owner was super helpful, he even arranged us a really cheap private transfer from train station to their hotel. He organized us a trip and gave us a map so we didn't get lost on the mountain. His mother cooked us great breakfast and dinner.

Hotel itself was fairly standard but the staff were fantastic. The night before my first day in huangshan the owner gave me a map and talked me through how to get into the national park, and what are the highlights to do there in the time you have - and in a decent amount of detail too. There's not a huge amount of English language content online so I found this incredibly helpful and really not something I have always experienced at other hotels in similar situations, so I was really happy with that. It's also a great location, only a 5-10 min walk to the main bus stop that takes you up the hill to the cable car / hike start point. Overalls good value for money too so I was happy.

Provably to note this isnt a hotel, its a shop downstairs and they have rooms upstairs.. it is a 5 storey building which isnt an issue if you travel with just a backpack. If you large baggage then you gonna have to carry it up 5 floors. Mattress is pretty thin not very comfortable suitable for those with no back issue

The location is superb for anyone wanting to go up the mountain (very close to the admission centre). The rooms were clean, tidy, and equipped with air conditioning, a kettle, towels and toothbrushes wtc.

The breakfast (meat dumpling soup) was perhaps a little too salty for my taste, but was otherwise enjoyable, and a good portion. As we were climbing up the mountain at a rapid pace on a hot and sunny day, the extra salt likely wasn’t an issue. (Nothing the hotel can do about it), but I would like to say that the river directly next to the hotel is exceptionally loud, so light sleepers may want to take precautions such as earplugs.

The host was extremely helpful. He arranged affordable transport from Huangshan North train station to the hotel (and back), made a plan for hiking the mountain with me, and helped with the many more questions I had. The hotel is only a short walk to the park entrance, so no need to take a cab in the morning. I booked 3 nights, but slept one day in a hotel on the mountain. That way, I could keep my luggage safe and worry-free, whilst climbing the mountain. I highly recommend staying here!

For the price, I can't complain. However, there are two things to consider: the mattresses are very hard, and the rooms are quite noisy. There's a lot of noise from the street, and the window might as well not have been there. But again, for this price, I can't complain about that. Plus, I was tired enough to sleep straight through.
