The bungalow was very comfortable and well built. We got a beach facing bungalow and it was fantastic! One of the very few resorts that function well in a low season. Food was good too! I highly recommend Tropical resort.

The tropical is an amazing place. It is comfortable, beautiful and has a very nice atmosphere. The family, who owns this place is so friendly and lovely. The breakfast and food in the restaurant are delicious. The nature around is tropical and very interesting. We loved and enjoyed everything there!

Really nice resort, which is bigger than you think if you just walk past the front. There are 19 rooms in total. It's thatched-roof bungalows nested amongst tropical plants and trees. Rooms are all well-maintained (we viewed three options), and they are all a bit unique in layout and style. Food here is good, and the restaurant is open to the public. The free breakfast is also very nice. We will stay here again next time.

Very chilled out

Not much. Only ‘problem’ I had was a worry that there was gaps between the woodwork would let mosquitos in. This didn’t happen in peak mosquito season.

Everything about this stay was incredible. The room and facilities far exceeded my expectations, but what really stood out was the outstanding service from the friendly staff. The food was excellent across the board—don’t miss the breakfast! They have a "secret menu of the day" that is a total game-changer. I loved every minute here.

While it’s close to the pier, the beach shortcut is a bit messy and tricky to walk. Alternatively, catching a bike taxi requires a trek to the hotel’s highest point via a very steep wooden walkway—it’s quite a workout!

Logement très mignon de l’extérieur

Les moustiques peuvent entrés de tous les côtés dans le logement. Un homme de l’hôtel est entrée dans notre logement, sans qu’on l’invite à y pénétrer, pour insister que l’on prenne son scooter en location pour 250bath/jour.

The food was amazing. Breakfast was sensational. Staff were lovely. Rooms clean. Great value for money.

The beach front location is not what we expected and not somewhere you would swim with the rocky terrain and long tail boats which anchor there. Wifi was intermittent which proved problematic for us with working remotely.

It‘s a good location, not that far away from the pier (15 min if you walk). If you want to go to the village it‘s round about 20 min by foot, but if you want you can rent a scooter. The property is very clean and gives you some kinda jungle-feeling - I liked this ☺️ also the staff was really friendly and the breakfast was amazing!

There was a rooster directly next to / under our room that screamed nearly the whole night and it was soo loud, we could not sleep very good the three days. I think if we would have wanted, we could have changed the room but we had a great room in front of the sea so we didn‘t want to. You have to know (i don‘t know if it‘s in every room the same) that there is no AC, just a fan. For me this is ok, but my husband had big problems 🙈

Great location and excellent room! We stayed in one of the big rooms at the top of the resort which had a great sunrise view. Very spacious room, air con, desk space for working, big bathroom with plenty of space to put things. The area around the resort was very quiet which was a big plus. We will definitely stay again next time we come to the Trang Islands. Koh Mook has some of the best food in these islands too!

La chambre est fantastique très bien décorée. Très propre. La salle de bain spacieuse avec de l'eau chaude. Le lit est très confortable, ce qui est exceptionnel apriori. Le jardin est très beau. Le petit déj délicieux, exceptionnel car il est situé dans une carte postale. Le personnel est adorable. L'accès est rapide à pied en sortant du ferry.

L'odeur du plastique qui est brulé la nuit.

Det eneste vi følte der manglede en smule, var en badestrand lige ud til hotellet. Der kunne godt bades, men der var en del sten… ellers var alt rigtig godt

Der Einrichtungsstil der Hütten sowie der tropische Garten.

Steiler Abgang von der Straße runter bis zur Rezeption auf einem Steg aus Holzbrettern. Bei Nässe Rutschgefahr. Ameisen im Zimmer, hellhörige Wände, bellende und heulende Hunde in der Nacht. Bei Ebbe sehr unansehlicher Strandabschnitt, der eh nicht zum baden geeignet ist. Abgesehen davon, daß Koh Mook eh eine absolute Mülldeponie ist. Ich komme schon seit 30 Jahren nach Thailand, habe aber noch niergends eine so vermüllte Insel kennengelernt. Aus diesem Grund sind wir auch nach nur einer Nacht wieder ausgecheckt und ins Paradies auf die Insel Koh Ngai gefahren. Obwohl das Betreiberehepaar uns die nicht genutzten Tage zurückerstatten wollte, haben wir leider nie wieder etwas von ihnen gehört. Leider reagierten sie auch nicht auf die Anfragen von booking.com.

Établissement superbe en bord de plage. Magnifique chambre très spacieuse avec une vue splendide sur la mer. Excellant restaurant en bord de mer. Très bon petit déjeuner

Le personnel du soir n'est pas du tout souriant. Dommage que toutes les chambres ne soient pas équipées de climatisation. Manque de pression dans la douche

Huisjes met een mooie natuurlijke uitstraling. Huisjes met ventilator kunnen wel erg warm zijn en hou rekening met de steile trap naar het slaap gedeelte. Omdat de wanden van palmblad zijn is het gehorig, hanen, vogels en honden. Dus neem oordopjes mee.

En hane som gol hele døgnet,terrassen veldig smal og kun to krakker og sitte på, dette var familieleilighet så at de mindre nærmere stranden hadde bedre terrasse og møbler.

Wir hatten einen absolut unvergesslichen Aufenthalt im The Tropical auf Koh Mook – diese Anlage ist wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes! Die vom Eigentümer mit unglaublich viel Liebe zum Detail gestalteten Bungalows sind ein echtes Highlight: individuell, modern und gleichzeitig perfekt in die tropische Umgebung eingebettet. Jeder Winkel wirkt durchdacht und persönlich – man spürt sofort, dass hier Herzblut drinsteckt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der wunderschöne, üppige Tropengarten, der die gesamte Anlage in eine kleine Oase verwandelt. Der Holzsteg, der sich durch das Gelände schlängelt, macht das Ganze fast schon magisch. Wir hatten einen zweistöckigen, sehr geräumigen Bungalow – ideal für uns als Familie. Unten konnten wir problemlos eine Luftmatratze mit Moskitonetz für unsere Kinder aufbauen, sodass jeder seinen eigenen Bereich hatte. Das war nicht nur praktisch, sondern auch richtig gemütlich. Die Eigentümer und das gesamte Personal sind außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Egal welches Anliegen – es wird immer eine individuelle Lösung gefunden, und das mit einer Herzlichkeit, die man selten erlebt. Das Frühstück ist erstklassig und lässt keine Wünsche offen – ein perfekter Start in den Tag! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch den nachhaltigen Ansatz der Anlage: Kostenloses Wasser-Refill, der bewusste Verzicht auf Plastikverpackungen und der respektvolle Umgang mit der Natur zeigen, dass hier nicht nur an Komfort, sondern auch an die Umwelt gedacht wird. Obwohl es keinen direkten Badestrand an der Anlage gibt, hat uns das überhaupt nicht gestört. Die umliegenden Traumstrände sind schnell erreichbar – entweder zu Fuß oder ganz unkompliziert organisiert per Transport. Die Qualität der Anlage macht das mehr als wett. Ganz ehrlich: Wir haben noch nie eine so perfekte Unterkunft erlebt. Sollte es uns jemals wieder nach Koh Mook verschlagen, kommt für uns nur noch The Tropical in Frage!

Amazing food! Very good breakfast. People working there were very nice. It gave us local and unique feeling, especially private longtail boat ride with elderly man and his grandchild that was booked by resort. We loved atmosphere.

Das Hotel war etwas abseits vom Kern. Das war auch gut so

Eigentlich hatten wir 3 Nächte gebucht, sind jedoch nach 1 Nacht wieder abgereist.Die Insel ist dermaßen vermüllt, zudem verbrennen die Bewohner das Plastik das man ständig Husten musste. Die Unterkunft war leider auch nicht so meins, es hätte definitiv saubere sein können.

The no air-con was difficult since the fan wasn’t strong, the room got stuffy and warm as soon as the sun came up in the morning.

This property is a true gem on Koh Mook. It is very raw while still offering all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax. The staff are incredibly helpful!

If you prefer to have a fresh room and you cannot tolerate heat, make sure you book the room with an AC.

Super liebe Besitzer und ein wirklich gutes Restaurant mit perfekter Lage am Meer. Wir hatten die Hütte ganz vorn über dem Wasser (bei Flut). Das war ein Traum, der Ausblick aus dem Bett. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und auch tagsüber sollte man das Restaurant definitiv probieren, alles war sehr lecker. Wir hatten leider nur zwei Nächte auf der Insel, wären aber gerne noch geblieben denn die Insel war für uns super entschleunigend. Generell waren alle Inselbewohner überaus freundlich.

Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

Grands logements atypiques nichés au milieux de la verdure. Chambres supers confortables. Petit dej magnifique face à la mer.

Tout était top. Peut être qu'il faut bien préciser que le service de laverie n'est pas automatique dans les chambres (mais il est juste à côté)

Magnifique bungalow face à la mer. Attention ce n’est pas une plage où se baigner à marée basse mais c’est plein de charme. Le bungalow est vaste, très propre avec le soucis du détail. Idem pour la salle de bain. Pas de clim dans le nôtre mais nous le savions et la brise marine ainsi que le ventilateur sont suffisants. Petit déjeuner compris extra ! Personnel très sympathique.

The property is thoughtfully designed. My room has space downstairs to hang out also plenty of room in the balcony. It feels like staying at Thai grandma house in the provincial with so many tropical plants and animals living in harmony. It’s really cozy. Though the beach in front of the hotel is not a swimming beach but the advantage is the peace and quiet and giving sea breeze all day make it perfect to just hang around with delicious drinks from the resort’s restaurant. The best part is probably the hospitality of the owner and staff.

It killed me a bit seeing wet wood in the bathing area even though it seemed to dry fast and caused no problem.

Schöne Bungalows. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück und auch ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Alles in Allem macht das Resort seinem Namen alle Ehre!

Der Strand vor Ort ist zum Baden nicht nutzbar. Für 50 Baht pro Person kommt man aber an den Charlie Beach, der ist Top! Wir hatten ein Bungalow ohne Klima, da waren wir aber selbst Schuld, da wir es bei der Buchung einfach übersehen haben. Es war auch Gottseidank kein Problem da am Abend immer eine frische Brise kam. Ein Safe in diesem Bungalow, wäre auch nicht schlecht gewesen.

A family run resort

Es war die herzlichste Erfahrung die ich je in einem Hotel/Resort machen durfte. Bester Service und die Chefin ist die netteste und hilft einem bei jedem Problem weiter

Wir haben das DZ Deluxe 2 (obere Etage) gebucht. Dadurch hatten wir auch freie Sicht aufs Meer. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, zuvorkommend, unaufdringlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und mit viel Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Man hat die Möglichkeit, sich das Frühstück aus mehreren Sachen zusammenstellen. Kaffee kostet extra, aber das scheint normal zu sein. Wir hatten Cappuccino und der war erstklassig. Gerne gleich als große Portion bestellen.

Man muss wissen, dass man an der Seite, an der das Hotel liegt, bedingt durch Ebbe oft nur auf eine Art Wattenmeer schaut. Einen Strand sieht man vom Hotel ebenfalls nicht. Für 50 THB pro Person kann man sich aber zum Charliebeach fahren lassen oder man läuft zum Sivalaibeach. Dies ist aber nichts negatives. Sofern man diese Einschränkungen kennt und sich damit arrangiert, ist man super in dem Hotel aufgehoben.

The room was really comfortable and the location wasn't bad. There were toys our son could play with near the eating area. The breakfast/eating area is right off of the water and breakfast was lovely.

The hotel is placed along the side of a hill but it's not to cumbersome. Some of the places in the area burn rubbish/debris so it can get unpleasantly smokey in the area.

Es sind wunderschöne, moderne und gepflegte Bungalows in einer ruhigen Bucht. Wir hatten sogar Meerblick, es wird jeden Tag gereinigt, gibt frische Strand- und Handtücher, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück sehr vielseitig und lecker. Würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Tolle Lage, direkt am Meer und sehr authentisch neben den Einheimischen. Das Personal und das Restaurant - super. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein schönes kleines Resort direkt am Strand von Koh Mook gelegen, klein inhabergeführt von einer jungen wahnsinnig gastfreundlichen Familie. Frühstücksauswahl zur Auswahl sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt und immer ganz frisch mit einer kleinen Überraschung dazu. Über Tag und am Abend wird traditionelles thailändisches Essen angeboten, alles frisch und in einer tollen Qualität… das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut… gerne immer wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind

Die Betten sind etwas hart, der Strand vor der Anlage leider nicht zum baden geeignet, da sehr steinig… nach 10 min Fußweg steht man dafür aber wieder an einem Traumstrand…

Peut être le fait d’être du côté très pauvre de l’île, l’accessibilité n’est pas des plus simples. Également l’île est très sale… mais cela n’a pas de rapport direct avec l’établissement.

Bei Ebbe ist es nicht möglich im Meer zu schwimmen. Viele Longboat durch die Nähe zum Pier. Wir hatten einen Roller gemietet, daher für uns vollkommen in Ordnung.

Einfach alles, super Lage, Service, Frühstück, alles fantastisch. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Dschungel wenn man auf seinem Balkon sitzt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen, wollten am liebsten nie wieder weg. Eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft.

Das einzige was uns gefehlt hat, war ein Kühlschrank. Aber das ist schon meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Had a wonderful two-night stay here in February. Lovely staff and the food was great as well. Fantastic location, a short ride from the pier, and easy to get around the rest of the island from there. Would highly recommend!

Coup de cœur pour cette cabane à a peine 50m de la plage. Le restaurant de l’hôtel vue mer est simplement incroyable. Nous nous sommes régalé avec les petits déjeuner ! L’endroit est calme et les chambres bien équipées. Le personnel est très accueillant et aidant pour les visites et les transferts (l’hôtesse à gérer l’entièreté de notre retour).

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Unterkunft und unserem Aufenthalt. Besonders die Inhaber und das Personal waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie waren immer vor Ort, konnten bei allen Fragen helfen und zudem auch sehr sympathisch. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Auch das Frühstück war super lecker. Wir haben eine Bootstour über die Unterkunft gebucht, die auch total schön war. Das Zimmer wurde täglich sauber gemacht und wir bekamen täglich Strandtücher zur Verfügung. Wirklich top!! ❤️

A wonderful little oasis within a working fishing community. Excellent restaurant and a warm family run business either excellent service. The huts have been very beautifully designed and crafted.

Our room was at the top of the hill next to the road so moped noise can be an issue. Also most of the huts had deckchairs or hammocks to relax but ours had only very uncomfortable chairs. Suggest adding a hammock, the balcony is large enough. Also no hooks to hang towels in rhe bathroom. It is a shame there is so much plastic lying around on koh mook, it is a beautiful island but the rubbish is an issue (not in the hotel though)

Krásne ubytovanie obkolesené stromami, vsšde čisto, vynikajúce raňajky, veľmi mý a ochotný personál, po 2 rokoch sme sa vrátili na to iste miesto a nič sa nezmenilo, všetko je skvelé, určite sa sem ešte vrátime

Hyggelig hytte og meget fint indrettet. Ligger mellem palmer, mango træer og andet grønt. Personale var super søde og venlige. Vi boede i en 2 etagers hytte med hængekøjer under som vi nød at benytte til afslapning.

Det er øv man ikke kan bade på stedet men går du 5 min kommer du til den flotteste strand. Selvom der er gratis opfyldning af alt den vand du kan drikke manglede vi dog et lille køleskab.

J’ai été déçue par l’emplacement, je pensais avoir un hôtel en bord de mer où je pourrais me baigner mais en fait il s’agit d’un port et on ne peut pas se baigner

Bungalow spazioso e molto curato nell’estetica. Buona pulizia. Il nostro non aveva veranda come altri, bensì un balcone non abitabile ma comunque molto utile. Ottima colazione inclusa. Ambientazione suggestiva tra alberi e palme e affacciato sul mare. Posizione tranquilla fuori dal centro un po’ caotico. Personale cortese e collaborativo in grado di organizzare trasferimenti ed escursioni a prezzi competitivi rispetto alle agenzie presenti sull’isola. Ristorante nel resort e alcuni altri ristoranti a pochi minuti di cammino.
