C’était une expérience uniquement avec un avant-goût pour mon séjour dans la jungle et la visite des éléphants. C’est vraiment rustique, mais cela fait partie de l’aventure. Le personnel était gentil et adorable.

very nice location on the edge of town facing the jungle. very friendly & helpful staff
The view was insane to say the least. The hosts of the property were so kind, helpful and happy. I would recommend this place if you love waking up to nature! I will be coming back 🫰🏾
The hosts were so nice ! The bungalows were comfortable and the view is just breathtaking!
The most lovely little stay! Exactly as advertised online. Great mosquito net in the room and hot shower. The highlight was the staff for sure - a family run business and each member was so lovely, including the two kids. Great food too which was really reasonably priced. Super close to the elephants and a great service for pick up and collection. Couldn't rate more highly!
Great access and useful place to stay for the elephant project. Lively hosts, felt well looked after and was helped with transport to the mini bus without being asked.
A few too many steps after doing a trek, to get to my room, but not really an issue.
Lovely little bungalow on the edge of town, stayed for a week. Decent mosquito nets, nice hammock out front.
The dogs along the street are tricky, the same is true pretty much everywhere in town though. You definitely notice when the neighbours burn things in the morning. Not really things that can be helped, but be aware if these things are deal breakers for you.
Staff was attentive and helpful. Food service was quick and hot. Very unique to see horses in Cambodia; they have 5, plus 3 dogs and a cat. The pool was clean and enjoyable and reception/restaurant is beautiful. The toilets nearby are also very nice, with planters inside.
Bungalow was more run-down than it appeared in photos, particularly the railing and stairs. The sink in my room leaked all over the floor every time I used it. Resort is on outer edge of town, so it is difficult to get to the market, groceries, etc. and the food prices on site are also higher. There is no laundry service available, which is very inconvenient, given the location away from amenities. The pool area could use some loungers and hammocks so you can lay down and relax, rather than sit in a chair. They also do not offer pickup service as stated on Booking.com, so be prepared to find your own tuktuk and pay more than the stated $1 - $2.
I'll definitely be back
Lovely little lodge close to nature. The bungalows are rustic but very charming and clean. The family is very kind and helpful. I could arrange everything from transportation to tours via them. The food is delicious and reasonable priced and from the restaurant you can see the sun go down. I ended up extending my stay.
I came there because it's convenient to stay when you're visiting the elephant sanctuary/doing their two day jungle hike. The bungalows are basic but it's great value for money. You get a comfortable bed with moskito net, hot shower and a nice little patio with a hammock to relax in. The restaurant was good and prices were quite affordable too.
Placed in a wild and beautiful jungle the view was truly unbelievable and you can hear the sounds of the forest from the patio. The stuff is very nice and kind to everybody and also the food is very good. What we appreciated the most was the peace and the beautiful landscape
Unfortunately our room was not clean, there were a few ants walking up and down the wall close to our pillows. Under the pillow the sheets were damaged by rats and we have found some rats poops in the wooden structure of the beds. The point here is that you have to be aware and conscious that you are in a jungle and that the animals that live there might come to say hi during the night. If you are wild enough to not care about this this place is nice. Not clean or comfortable but very beautiful to see.
Everything! Staff, my bungalow, the view in the morning, the peace!
The Tree Lodge is a very special place. Built with a balcony looking out over the jungle, it offers spectacular views. Down the wooden walkway, the cabins all have bathrooms with hot water, an outside hammock and mosquito nets. The price is very reasonable and the lodge offers treks and visits to the elephant sanctuary. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced.
All great
Tree Lodge is a peaceful haven nestled in the hills facing west, offering a beautiful sunset in the evening. There is a kitchen that serves delicious meals day long and a water refilling station. I could go back and spent a few weeks there!
Rural feeling
The bathroom floor was a bit scary, I like the idea but not very practical, Nylon sheets
The place The restaurant The sunset The staff The cleanliness
Very noisy place, bring your earplugs especially in the morning you can eat everything if you’re neighbours wake up at 6 you will be awake with them. That’s the only point everything else was perfect
Beautiful natural setting and construction. Lovely people and food.
Great Location and nice enough bongalows! From the porch of the restaurant you can see a beautiful sunset! The staff is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Tree Lodge! Wake up with all the jungle sounds was a great experience!
Some of the facilities as hooks in the wall or light switches have seen better times.
Great location close to town that make you feel in the jungle
The view in the accomodation is amazing! (Both from restaurant as well as from the bungalows). The bungalows are basic but all you need!! Just the owner is really not a pleasant person.
The owner. He’s not nice at all, and that’s a shame, because it has it all to be amazing, but I wouldn’t go there again because of him. He’s just not sincerely friendly and just want your money.
Nice sun deck and garden
Bedding too small for the bed and not warm enough (late January).
Clean and comfortable guesthouse, I loved the location in the nature and the chill atmosphere. The food is great, cheap and comes in big portions. Staff is helpful, they’re also running the Mondulkiri Project.
Wi-Fi very weak if your bungalow is far from the reception
This is just as I expected when sleeping in the jungle. Very basic but comfortable. Amazing view across the jungle. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Took us to our next accommodation without us needing to ask. The owner also owns the elephant sanctuary and it is good to see that the money is going towards the elephants and not to plush accommodation
Cockerell at 3am and workers with a cement mixer at 7am.
The accommodations are rustic but they provided all of the basics and the hammock on the front porch was perfect in the morning. The.host was very welcoming upon arrival and I enjoyed being around the familial style environment. Views were spectacular all around and they offer free tuk tuk service into town.
A beautiful detached hut on a hillside with a comfortable bed & great veranda with hammock & chair for relaxing after a full day of adventure. The food was excellent, the staff work so hard in the kitchen to produce made to order dishes.
It was all great.
The friendliest staff. Surrounded by nature. Close enough to everything. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Love falling asleep/waking up to the animal noise. 10/10 reccomend. You’re staying in a tree lodge tho so don’t expect it to be a glamorous stay.
A very atmospheric place to stay and really good value for money!
Extremely beautiful place linked to a beautiful elephant rescue project. Well done!
One shelf in the room would make it perfect.
such great value for money, such a peaceful and beautiful property, staff is so kind and welcoming, food is delicious. 10/10
nothing
The room is basic but has everything you need, and the terrace hammock is perfect for evening relaxation. The host is super helpful, and I did a one-day tour with them to the Mondulkiri Project, which I highly recommend to support a great cause. Would definitely stay here again!
wonderful location, very friendly and helpful staff, great food and excellent trips (hiking, elephants)
It was amazing !! The view from my room and from the restaurant was wonderful ! The food was also so good. Also, they help me to book a trekking tour with elephants. Everything was easy, the owner helps me when I wanted to go to the center. Thank a lot !
Staff were very helpful (this is a homestay), the rooms are fit for the purpose and are satisfactorily basic. The view and the breakfast were great.
You cannot walk to the accommodation as there are vicious dogs along the route. The accommodation owners were not particularly responsive to messages. There is no soap in the room bathrooms.
We had to change room 3 times because of equipment malfunction. We found cockroaches in the beds and in our bags (without having any food out) When we decided to move the mattress around after the cockroaches invaded the bed we realized there was an anthill right beside our heads (in two different rooms) and that it wasn’t clean at all) After ALLL that, the staff didn’t even compensate us and tried to make us pay the taxi drop off at the bus station I am all about eco lodging, but it is ecology that should prevail not economy. The shower end was linked right on top of the soil which means that the shampoo and everything else goes right into the soil, polluting the earth, I am only putting 3 out of 10 because of how cheap it was Otherwise it would be a 0
Basic bungalow in the middle of the nature, I’m sure outside of rainy season it would have been lots better. No option to dry wet stuff, not the greatest atmosphere around when we were there. But quite cheap compared to other stuff, but nothing fancy.
Rooms were basic but great, very rustic, quite, comfortable and good mosquito nets. Good food, lovely family.
All good but not for those seeking luxury
The views of the forest was wonderful Bathroom facilities worked well
- Mattress not supportive - I was getting bitten in bed - little nips throughout the night - window in room doesn’t close properly, no matter as floor boards n bed boards you can see through to the ground outside, boards are not sealed I mean. Mice, rats n other creatures can get through gaps n large holes between floor n ceiling in my bathrooms. - time to fix Rickety wooden staircase n in the wet can b slippery too if not wearing gripped shoes. - on arrival quick to sell me tours n bus tickets - change of behaviour towards me after they discovered I was booked on another elephant tour - I was actually booked for two nights, one night only with booking.com though, I left after the first night. For 50 cents more I am in a another hostel in the same area, lovely comfortable room catered by warm, friendly people.
The location is incredible. The view from the bungalow is beautiful and the surroundings are really quiet.
I didn’t feel confortable with the owner. We had an issue about the price charged which was different from what Booking announced. The vibe was a bit off. As we asked to leave our backpack at the reception during our trek, the owner refused because we didn’t book it with him. It’s quite an unusual thing to do since we had booked rooms before and after the trek. Last but not least, he gave me a dollar note from before 2017 which was impossible to use in Cambodia.
Very friendly staff, good acomodation, plenty of choice in the restaurant, they manage visits to mondulkiri project (that I strongly recommend).
Maybe toilets in bedrooms could be improved
The bungalows are great, clean and have everything you need. There were a few animals at night but hey you're in the jungle! The food at their restaurant was also amazing, so yummy.
The toilet in my room didn't have the lid to sit on, but it wasn't that big if a deal for me.
The location was nice, it's about 5-10min walking from the main road (where the beaches are busy). You basically had this beach all for yourself :)
There were a lot of ants and it was very hot, but nothing that can be helped, so we had a good stay
Great view and great value for money
One or two of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others not so much
Cool place, nice bungalows and great view. Restaurant and food on spot. Nice staff. You can arrange everything you need there.
A lovely lodge in the middle of the most beautiful scenery with a scenic sunset view point! The view and surrounding jungle was definitely a highlight. The family were so lovely and the food was 10/10. The lodge was perfect and had everything we needed.
Excellent value. It feels a bit like a homestay with children being cared for,, vegetables being prepared on the doorstep.. for me the convivial atmosphere and friendly family environment made Tree Lodge feel very special. The location is great with views over the treetops and a breezy restaurant/ hang out area. It is about 1.5 km to the main town however but a tuktuk is available. Nice food at a reasonable price. Despite exceptionally hot weather , somehow it was cool at night so air con wasn't needed and a blanket was supplied. Clean and comfortable beds. Good mosquito nets. Bottled water refill available. Only 200m from The Elephant Valley Project office - a different NGO that we decided to visit rather than the one run by Tree Lodge ( highly recommended).
This isn't luxury as the price would indicate! The rooms, particularly the bathrooms are VERY dark and rustic. We had a shutter that didn't shut/lock, lots of gaps in walls, missing handrails and quite steep, rickety access ( those with mobility issues or young children might need to go elsewhere) so safety could be a concern. Almost an outside bathroom. Sink tap didn't work although shower did including hot water.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. A great place to stay if you are doing the Mondulkiri project. The room is comfortable and basic, but it has everything you need. Also, the curries are very delicious!
Our bed was not level, and I kept sliding down into the middle.
Amazing homestay ! Had a whole bungalow for myself, with 2 big beds and a nice bathroom. Mosquito nets is a plus ! The view from the terrace was stunning !
The cabin has nice views.
Staff no very friendly, we wanted to book a tour with another company that the one they have and they didn't even help us with some information we ask. To take you to the town, they charge $1 for each person, very expensive. Gaps on the floor in the cabin, very poor light, dangerous toilet, the floor was made with rocks uneven, full of gaps and insects
Very wonderful buildings in a great location
- nice staff - beautiful view from the restaurant - food is delicious - the bungalows are rustic but comfortable - elephant tour is professionally done and the elephants seemed well treated
- The path to the bungalows at night is tricky (a guy fell down) - if you are terrified of spiders, maybe it's not the place (we only saw one but the bungalows are fairly opened) (there is a bed mosquito net though)
The family were very accommodating and it had an exceptional view! We also found it very easy to book our bus and the Mobdulkiri project through them which was amazing!
Nice view .
A bit far from the centre. We had a lot of ants in the bed on the first day which was not pleasant at all
I really enjoyed that the lodge was sorrounded by the jungle and you had that as a view, beautiful sunset. Reasonably priced food
The lights were too dimm in the room and no wifi in the lodges just at the restaurant. On the day of the monduliri project there was very loud chantings at 5am coming from the far. Woke up most people staying there
The position.
The bathroom.
The surrounding is the best in town with trees and a nice view from the restaurant. Lovely staff.
Wooden walkway and walls can be noisy but no surprise here. Just know what to expect.
The view from the restaurant is amazing and the place is very nice n quiet. Very fair price and they can organise trekking in the forest or with the elefants for you.
No wifi in the room, only at the reception. I didn't have lunch or dinner there but breakfast wasn't great.
The view is amazing. I was there after rainy season. So the front view was greenery like. It’s relaxing and calming, suitable place for chilling alone or with friends. Moreover, I love the decoration of the room. Anyway, it’s more suitable for backpackers and ppl who like calming place. The food is great. The pizza is amazing and good price. Soup is a bit expensive since it’s a small bowl but delicious. Served u with pineapple and watermelon for free at the end. Love it!
The staffs are not very helpful and not so friendly (Seems to be inexperienced). So It created a feeling of unwelcome. Check the walk way before booking. Not recommend for ppl who has luggages. U walk far if ur room number is like 10+. The walk way is not cool for ppl who has many things to hold (But good looking). Additionally, light at walkway should be more. Well there are enough lamps there already but most of them are broken. Should be fixed tho! Not recommend for old Asian ppl even the decorations is liked by old Asian ppl. This place is more for young ppl. The room is not very clean. There are dirt at window. Bed sheets are kinda smelly. The mosquitoes net has holes. But luckily I was there during cold and windy weather. No mosquitos there. One fan out of three made sound. (Owner should check the fan regularly) The chair in the front of the room is too old, can’t sit comfortably but good for photo/style. Gecko is in the room but It’s harmless tho. The sign of the stay seems to be small. If u arrive at night, it would be difficult to recognize. If u have own car, it could be difficult too (Not enough light at parking spot). Plus, the staffs are not very helpful, it made u difficult more. (Could bc of less staffs)
Wonderful place and location
The lodges are in the middle of the nature, it's very quiet, and you can see the beautiful sunset at the terrace of the restaurant. The owners are also running the mondulkiri project, it's very good to combine to see the Elephants.
It's a little bit far away from town, during the evening you need to watch out for the roaming dogs when you walk to town.
Lovely place surrounded by nature. Basic bungalows but really pretty. They overbooked the single rooms so I got lucky and got un upgrade to a family room with private bathroom. Nice food, cool atmosphere.
I asked the owner if I could leave my bag and take it back the next day but he refused because I had booked my tour with EVP and not with him. Pretty weird and rude, as any guesthouse/hostel/hotel would usually let you store if for free.
Place.
Staff and the scooter rent. 7$ for a broken scooter (we were two and both scooter were broken : no back brake, no counter, no petrol gauge etc). The staff doesn’t care and just want his money. That’s a shame. If you can avoid this hostel, do it.
For $8 per night you defin can’t complain. It had comfy bed and flushable toilet.
It is a very rural accomodation. Cottages are super cute with very nature wild views
Mosquito net had a hole
Surrounded by nature, very peaceful and with a restaurant on the premises (not included). The staff helped with purchasing our bus ticket for our next destination.
Clean the rooms, guys. I understand that the occasionale creepy crawler is tò be expected, but the mouse dropping on the mosquito net and on the bed? Also, the staff was not always so clear when web asked something, though they tried to be helpful.
