We were welcomed and offered a drink. The room was nice and big. The view was spectacular. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Everyone was very friendly. We had a very good time.

Incredible location and view of the crocodile river. We had a riverside room but the other rooms also have access to the excellent patio. Don was amazing; a knowledgeable, attentive host who made us feel relaxed and at home. The food was lovely and just what you want after a long day of wildlife spotting. Marloth itself is also such a unique place with great wildlife and a friendly, chilled out vibe and represents very good value for Kruger access.

Parking maybe only downside. If i have an expensive car i wouldn't want monkeys to damage it. Sleeping in the tree where we parked and recycling al the days foraging on my car. But that is not damage but inconvenient and smells.

The property is truly beautiful: the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the view over the Crocodile River is simply breathtaking. All the staff and the owners, whom we had the pleasure of meeting in person, are exceptionally kind and welcoming. They make you feel truly cared for and go out of their way to look after every guest, paying close attention to each person’s individual needs. We would especially like to thank you for arranging vegan meals for us. Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and, you could tell, made with so much care and love. ❤️ A very special thank you goes to Don for his genuine kindness, generosity and willingness to help. The owners are truly lucky to have found someone so perfectly in tune with them and their values, and who puts so much passion, dedication and care into everything he does. It is genuinely rare to come across someone like him. Don was also incredibly helpful in making our self-drive safaris so special. He gave us so many valuable tips, suggesting routes, places to visit and things to look out for, all of which proved invaluable and made our days in Kruger even more beautiful and exciting. His knowledge of the area and his generosity in sharing his experience really made a difference. If we return to South Africa, we will absolutely make a point of coming back to be pampered by you again! 🥰 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a wonderful welcome and for making our stay so special! ❤️

Bardzo polecam ten obiekt! Przemiły gospodarz, który zawsze jest na miejscu i służy pomocą oraz cennymi radami. Jedzenie - przepyszne! Panie kucharki gotują naprawdę smaczne, domowe posiłki. Na plus możliwość wzięcia śniadania na wynos od wczesnych godzin porannych. Atmosfera i czystość również na wysokim poziomie.

Droga w parku do noclegu nie była najlepsza - warto wziąć samochód 4x4. Nie wpływa to jednak aż tak negatywnie na jakość noclegu, trzeba ten dojazd przeżyć :)

Das Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr groß und bot jeglichen Komfort. Der Blick vom bequemen Bett, vom Zimmer und von der Terrasse in den Kruger Park ist fantastisch. Der Manager Don ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit und steht praktisch rund um die Uhr für die Gäste zur Verfügung. Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Atmosphäre beim Dinner mit Flussblick einmalig. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Die Straßen im Marloth Park sind leider extrem schlecht.

Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend: man sieht direkt in den Kruger NP. Die Gastfreundschaft ist etwas ganz besonderes, man fühlt sich wie Zuhause und zu jeder Zeit bestens aufgehoben. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns von den Augen abgelesen. Don ist ein wunderbarer Mensch, der sich mit unendlicher Herzlichkeit um einen kümmert! Wir werden unseren Aufenthalt nie vergessen…

L’accueil de Don a été exceptionnel : attentionné, prévenant et toujours de bon conseil, il a tout mis en œuvre pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Le lieu est tout simplement magique. Cette petite structure propose de magnifiques chambres avec une vue imprenable sur la rivière et le parc Kruger. Tout est pensé pour le confort des hôtes : gâteaux de bienvenue, boissons chaudes à volonté, jumelles pour observer la faune, billard et livres à disposition. Les dîners savoureux pris sur la terrasse avec à une vue plongeante sur le Kruger, ont parachevé cette expérience enchantée.

Don running the place is an incredible host.

We felt very pampered from the time we arrived until the time of checkout. The view of the river was breathtaking and peaceful, the food was delicious, and the staff were beyond excellent. The rooms are very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. It is a slice of heaven and we came back to our home refreshed and feeling like we can’t wait for our next vacation. You know we will be coming there! Thank you Don for spoiling us!

Der Blick auf den Fluss ist genial. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Er nahm sich viel Zeit für uns und gab Routentipps für den Nationalpark. Das 3-Gang-Menue war spitze und der Preis für das Gebotene absolut in Ordnung. Das Dinner auf dem schönen Balkon wird jeden begeistern.

We loved everything about Kruger Private Lodge - the amazing customer service from all the staff, the spectacular river views, the beautiful animals which come to visit, lovely decor and overall great African ambience. The hippos in the Crocodile River pools just below the hotel added to the atmosphere along with the game viewing from our deck overlooking the river - and the stunning sunrises and sunsets.

The roads around the property were difficult to navigate due to the floods.

First. The communication was on point. Don communicating to find out every detail about our trip. Him welcoming us, The ladies were very friendly and humbled. The way they talk shows so much respect. I want to give a big thank you to all of them for the way they treated us we felt like King and Queen.

The food was cooked into perfection. The surprise of not knowing what for dinner was life its self. They gave us the kind of experience that we would like to live when we retire. I would recommend to everyone who wants to experience good life to visit the place.

Truly an unforgettable experience. We loved every single moment. From our first encounter as Chaney? greeted us to Donovan’s amazing ability to answer any questions we had, we were very sad to leave . In our opinion there is no where better to stay in terms of comfort, view, dining, and overall experience. We cannot rate it highly enough and would recommend this place to anyone, anytime!

Hotel com poucos quartos, um excelente atendimento pelos anfitriões, um maravilhoso jantar bastante saboroso (opção única, pago a parte) e com uma vista magnífica do parque nacional Kruger. A hospedagem no local, aliado aos safaris (não inclusos) são uma experiência de vida inesquecível. O hotel possui todo o conforto necessário, incluindo gerador para lidar com a falta de energia comum no local, mesmo estando numa das regiões mais isoladas do país. A área do Marloth Park possui vida selvagem ativa, como girafas e zebras. Inclusive, com ajuda das informações do gerente, conseguimos encontrar girafas pelo parque com nosso próprio carro. A localização é junta ao rio do crocodilo, de acesso por terra, com ruas bastante esburacadas, mas possível de se fazer com carro comum, ao menos na época seca. Destaque para a vista e o excelente atendimento por todo o staff.

The roads, I was using a small car, so I struggled to move around or coming in and going of the property. When I go there again, I'm going to use my 4x4 Hilux Bakkie.

So hard to explain just how good this place is. But I’ll give it a go, INCREDIBLE and some of the best views in Africa. I found this lodge online and was not expecting what I found. The Location within Marloth Park is stunning. From my balcony I could look across the river into the Kruger Park and watch Elephants playing, Hippos, crocodiles, Impala, Kudu, Bushbuck etc etc. The mornings and evening are spectacular. Looking East downriver we watch the sunrise and that night looking west upriver we watch to sunsets, all from my own balcony. The Lodge is under new ownership and the team are amazing. Their focus on client experience and attention to detail reminds me of the best hotels I’ve stayed in around the world, while the relaxed way they do it and spend time with you is like being at home with the family. The rooms are big and very well laid out, they have everything you need and expect. The breakfast and dinner are served on the lower deck or by the fire (my favourite), the drinks selection is good, and the new owners are working on a plan to expand the choices and add more options to make your stay even better. Don (the manager) lives on site and makes sure everything run smoothly, he is also one of the game drivers and his knowledge of the bush is outstanding. You can book individual or group tours into the Kruger Park (20-minute drive away) or just watch the game come to you from the balcony. Highly recommended. The value for money is excellent, and I will be back for another visit asap

Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und die Unterkunft ist hervorragend traumhaft gelegen am Fluss. Man kann einen Spaziergang zu einem schönen Aussichtspunkt machen, an dem wir Hippos sehen konnten. Kudus, Impalas und Warzenschweine haben uns begrüßt.

Die Anfahrt war aufgrund von vorhergehenden Überschwemmungen etwas holprig.

From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and attentiveness made us feel completely at home. Every interaction was genuine and nothing felt like too much trouble. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Located directly above the river with stunning sun (set and rise!) views aswell as abundant wildlife. Our room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and treated us to that same gorgeous river view every morning. What truly elevated our stay, was the Manager and his kind team. Going far beyond the expected, he answered our questions about the local wildlife, helped us source groceries, and guided us toward activities that made our trip genuinely memorable. It's rare to find hospitality that feels this personal. We will definitely come back in the future!

KPL is located in the most beautiful place, with stunning views of the Crocodile River. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and made my stay remarkable. So much effort was put into making me comfortable. The tranquility at KPL provided such a relaxing time, and the atmosphere is great for anyone, wanting some time to unwind. Wir waren eine Nacht dort bevor wir in den Kruger Nationalpark gefahren sind. Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen wurden, Zimmer war top ausgestattet und wirklich sauber. Am Abend konnten wir uns noch länger mit den Gastgebern unterhalten die uns paar Tipps noch mitgeben konnten. Da wir in der Früh direkt um 6 Uhr am Gate sein wollten gaben uns die zwei noch eine süße Frühstücks Tüte mit. In allem wirklich herzliche gute Gastgeber in wunderschöner Lage mit direktem Blick auf den Fluss. Nur zu empfehlen.

La struttura ha una vista spettacolare sul fiume ed è curata nei minimi particolari con ottima cucina. Il personale è cordiale e Mr Don vi accoglierà con gentilezza e molta professionalità e potrete rivolgervi a lui per organizzare i vostri Safari e i vostri spostamenti con l’ausilio di altri suoi contatti.

Hôtel exceptionnel à conseiller. Nourriture très bonne, on a pris le souper et le le déjeuner (si des français me lisent le dîner et le petit-déjeuner) et tout était exceptionnel. On a été très bien accueilli par Donovan qui nous a aidé à réservé un safari dans le kruger ! La vue était exceptionnel et les animaux le matin qui viennent au pied de la maison ont rendu le séjour magique.

Seul bémol, il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude pendant une partie du séjour, ce qui est dommage sachant qu'on avait des bains à bulles dans certaines chambres.

Roads to the property can be challenging so you need a vehicle with high clearance.

Kurz gesagt: Perfekt. Die Lodge war die beste Unterkunft unserer 3-wöchigen Südafrika-Reise. Ich weiß gar nicht, womit ich anfangen soll.. Das Zimmer war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Groß, sauber, Blick auf den Park und die Nilpferde. Ein Moskitonetz über dem Bett hält unerwünschte Mücken fern. Wir hatten Dinner und Frühstück in der Lodge und waren vom Essen einfach nur hellauf begeistert. Am außergewöhnlichsten war allerdings das "Personal". Don, der Host, ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. In der Lodge ist an alles gedacht: Ein Billardtisch, ein Schachspiel, Bücher und Infokarten zum Kruger und ein Fernglas auf der Terasse. Don, der gleichzeitig auch Safari-Guide ist (leider hatten wir keine Zeit, eine Safari mit ihm zu machen), kann einem jede Frage zu den Tieren beantworten und man spürt seine Leidenschaft zu seinen Beruf förmlich. Auch die Köchin, Trish, war super herzlich. Man hat sich wirklich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Mit etwas Glück tauchen auch Tiere auf dem Gelände auf. Wir hatten Affen vor der Einfahrt sowie Pumbas und ein Gnu direkt vor der Tür - wirklich außergewöhnlich. Wir kommen sicher irgendwann wieder!!

Stellt euch auf eine holprige Straße ein. Aber unser Hyundai i10 hat es auch geschafft. :)

This is an exceptional lodge where service goes way beyond anything we have ever experienced before. The staff were genuinely caring and engaged. The location is a dream-come-true, with views (even from bed) out over the river and Kruger Park. We will definitely be returning.

Die Unterkunft liegt traumhaft am Fluss direkt angrenzend an den Kruger NP. Von Balkon aus konnte man Tiere beobachten, einmalig! Dazu ist das Essen in der Unterkunft sehr lecker. Auch die Hosts sind sehr zuvorkommend und sehr angenehme Gesprächspartner, die gerne such Tipps für den Aufenthalt geben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben für drei Nächte hier übernachtet was für ein Glück und können wirklich sagen: Diese Unterkunft war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise. Hier wird etwas ganz besonderes geboten Die Atmosphäre Luxus pur. diese Lodge hat unsere Erwartung übertroffen Das gesamte Team ist durchweg freundlich und die Kochkünste sind hervorragend Don ist so aufmerksam und sorgt dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Er ist hilfsbereit und hat uns immer per WhatsApp auf dem laufenden gehalten wo welches Tier sich gerade aufhält Vor dem Haus oder am Fluss ☺️ ein umfangreiches Wissen über Natur und Tierwelt Vielen Dank Die vom Haus gebuchte Safari war super viele Tiersichtungen und ein sehr aufmerksamer Guide Die Lodge liegt etwa 25 Minuten vom Kruger Nationalpark entfernt. Der Weg dorthin ist teilweise etwas holprig, was aber absolut zur Erfahrung dazugehört und letztendlich auch den besonderen Charme der Unterkunft unterstreicht. Man befindet sich wirklich mitten in der Natur, mit einem super Blick das macht den Aufenthalt so einzigartig. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer mit Blick zum Fluss wie im Paradies 🤩 Die hervorragende Einrichtung macht es komplett und ist absolut sein Geld wert Ein echtes Highlight sind die Tiere direkt an der Lodge und gegenüber am Fluss Insgesamt ist diese Lodge eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, die vor allem durch ihr Ambiente die freundlichen Mitarbeiter/Chef und die Nähe zur Natur besticht. Absolut empfehlenswert

Wir haben es hier genossen. Eine wahrhafte Wohlfühloase die zum Relaxen und Geniessen einlädt. Der Eigentümer Ruan und Donovan unser Host sind einfach klasse. Ein tolles, nur zu kurzes Erlebnis.

Das Personal ist so unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und liest einem alle Wünsche von den Augen ab. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein, mit freier Sicht auf den direkt davorliegenden Crocodile River mit all seinen Tieren. Die Architektur ist wunderschön und ausgesprochen speziell und sehr angenehm mit den riesigen privaten Terrassen vor den komfortablen und grossen Zimmern. Sehr bequeme Betten und riesige Dusche

Super Lodge mit sehr sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Aussicht von der Terrasse im Erdgeschoss und Obergeschoss sind der Wahnsinn. In nur wenigen Stunden viele Tiere beobachtet. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auf Wunsch gibt es Abendessen - war hervorragend. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine absolut fantastische und sehr gut geführte Lodge! Wir hatten eines der vier Räume, die den Crocodile River überblicken. Wenn Zimmer mit Blick über den Fluss nicht frei sind, dann macht es nichts aus, denn das mittlere und sehr großzügige Gebäude ist für alle Gäste gedacht. Man sieht von dort alles, was sich am Fluss abspielt (wir sahen Krokodile, Herden von Wasserbüffeln und verschiedenen Antilopenarten, Giraffen usw.). Einen Tag zuvor gabs Elefanten und einen Leopard. Im Garten selbst hatten wir Kudos und Impalas).

The views are spectacular and being in the middle of a natural park with wild animals roaming is a lovely experience. The dinner/breakfast views are unbeatable. I also loved the bathtub placement !

Beste Lage gegenüber vom Kruger Park. Auf der anderen Seite der Crocodile River. Du kannst von der Terrasse die wilden Tiere beobachten. Da der Unterkunft in einem Game Park befindet sind Antilope und Warzenschweine überall . Wir haben sogar vor der Tür ein Kudu aus der Hand gefüttert. Sehr gutes Essen, und Dinner zu reservieren für kleines Geld mit viel Geschmack top Qualität. Super freundliches Personal , vielen Dank für alles.

Second visit to this lodge with the best views over the Cricodile river , we had an amazing stay , lovely to see Bertus , Trish , Siphiwe and Charlotte again and meeting the new owners Ruan & Tanya. Everything excellent, fantastic place to stay. The breakfast is excellent and the (optional) dinner is very good, the chef is a true pro. And the view is priceless: from the terrace directly towards the Crocodile River with its abundant wildlife. The owners and the host (Bertus) are very helpful and friendly.

Die Lage der Lodge direkt am Crocodile River war perfekt. Das Team um Ruan und Bertus mit dem sehr exzellenten Küchenteam war sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Das Abendessen als 3-Gangmenu war jeden Abend ausgezeichnet. Sehr toll war ebenfalls die morgendliche Fütterung der Kudus. Die Empfehlung für die Safari war auch wirklich klasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Aber die Straßen zu den Lodges sollten dann besser sein.😏

Die Zufahrt zur Lodge war ein bisschen sehr holprig.

De service was buitengewoon goed. We werden enorm gastvrij ontvangen door Ruan en later ook zijn vrouw. Het personeel was ontzettend lief en zorgde ervoor dat we niks tekort kwamen. Het eten was erg lekker en helemaal niet duur. Daarnaast werd onze kamer elke dag opgeruimd, was het ruim, een prachtig uitzicht en over de rivier en Krugerpark (zelfs Nijlpaarden, Kudu’s etc te zien) en waren ze bedden enorm comfortabel. Daarnaast was de safari die we vanuit hier hebben geboekt een dikke aanrader. Glenn weet heel veel en wij hebben bijna alle dieren in het park gezien, zelfs de leeuwen. Al met al een top verblijf gehad!

We hadden een geweldig verblijf op deze prachtige plek. De rit erheen was een beetje bumpy maar het is het meer dan waard.
