Bellissime le parti comuni. Camera molto nuova e bella. Abbiamo mangiato qui 2 cene e sono state eccellenti, ben oltre le nostre aspettative. Neil è un ottimo cuoco e una persona molto piacevole. Val si occupa dell'organizzazione e tutto funziona à meraviglia. Consigliatissimo

This place is a gem! Great accommodation for going to Krueger and the owners organized everything for us. Neil and Val, the owners, are incredible. And for people who love a comfy and good bed, this is your go-to-place!

Val and Niel are the highlights, they make you feel like home!

Val und Neil sind zwei sehr liebenswerte und zuvorkommende Personen. Neil ist ein ehemaliger Guide, der so allerhand Informationen hat. Zimmer sind sehr groß und sehr sauber.

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Lodge war einfach außergewöhnlich. Das Essen war jeden Tag unglaublich lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, sauber und mit guten Klimaanlagen ausgestattet. Die unglaublichen Geschichten über die Tiere und den Park waren jedes Mal aufs Neue faszinierend. Die organisierten Safaris waren wunderschön und perfekt geplant. Die offene und herzliche Art der Gastgeber lässt einen wie Zuhause fühlen.

What an incredible experience spending time with Neil and Val. Food was delicious, rooms spacious and the overall service, willingness to help and kindness was something you dont experience often now a days. I can only recommend this place. We will be back for sure!

Es ist einfach atemberaubend! Die Tiere kommen bis zu 2 Meter vor die Terrasse. Die Gastgeber Val und Neil sind liebenswerte Menschen, die einem in jeder situation weiterhelfen. Das Essen war großartig! Die Lodge bietet Alles, was man braucht. Alles in Allem ein Erlebnis in einer außergewöhnlich guten Unterkunft!

We have stayed in many places in Marloth Park, but this experience was truly exceptional. The owners made us feel like honoured guests, and it was a privilege to meet them. The place is exquisite—very modern, with fabulous food. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfectly arranged for us.

The rooms were big and very nice, the food made by Val was delicious and we felt right at home. Both Neil & Val made sure at any time we were comfortable and were very accommodating.

Dire che è stato un soggiorno fantastico é riduttivo. Val e Neil, i proprietari del Lodge, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Hanno pensato a tutto senza mai farci mancare niente. Hanno prenotato i Safari consigliandoci una guida molto competente e appassionata che ci ha spiegato le caratteristiche e le curiosità di ogni animale e ha fatto il possibile per farci vedere i big five. Per ogni Safari, Val e Neil, hanno preparato una colazione ricca da portare con noi. Da Italiani amanti del buon cibo, siamo rimasti molto colpiti dai piatti e dalle pietanze offerte durante le cene; si vede che sono fatti con passione e ogni sera c’era sempre qualcosa di nuovo da provare. Possiamo dire che anche la parte culinaria è stata da 10 e lode. Val e Neil grazie per averci fatto sentire a casa e soprattutto per averci fatto sentire in vacanza dal primo istante. Torneremo sicuramente e avremo sempre un bel ricordo di voi.

Val was a great host. We managed to see a variety of animals that came to the property.

There was no privacy when using the toilet, as there is no door/partition between the toilet and the bedroom.

Our stay with Neil and Val was truly unforgettable. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcome and completely at ease. Neil and Val are such a warm, kind and thoughtful couple, and their genuine care for their guests is something truly special. The B&B itself is a wonderful place to stay: peaceful, cozy and beautifully taken care of. But what really made our stay extraordinary was the hospitality. The food was absolutely incredible – freshly prepared every single day, with so much attention, love and care. Every meal was a highlight. As the ultimate cherry on top, Neil and Val helped my partner prepare my marriage proposal. Their involvement was so thoughtful, discreet and loving, and it meant the world to us. It says everything about the kind of people they are. Thank you, Neil and Val, for an experience we will cherish forever. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay in the Kruger Park. We would recommend this accommodation wholeheartedly and would love to return one day.

Die Freundlichkeit von Val und Neil, das leckere Frühstück und Abendessen, was wir wärmstens empfehlen können. Die Tiere so hautnah zu erleben und die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Val und Neil waren stets bemüht uns einen schönen Aufenthalt zu bescheren und dann kann man sich nur wohl fühlen!

WOW WOW WOW!!! Wahrlich ein Traum! Neil und Val haben hier ein kleines Paradies geschaffen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren einfach nur köstlich und war sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Traumhafte Kulisse. Es ist mitten im Marloth Park, wo auch mal Tiere vorbei kommen. Das Guesthouse ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Beim Frühstück wurden wir sogar von einer Herde Kudus begrüßt. Bei der Einfahrt standen dann auch einfach mal Warzenschweine, Zebras und 6-7 Giraffen. Die Betten waren unglaublich bequem. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Zum Krüger Crocodil Gate fährt man 30min, alles sicher zum fahren. Die 9h Shared Jeep Safari mit Christelle waren wunderbar, nur ein Hammer. Best Ranger Ever!!! Die Sunset Safari mit 21er Sitzer im Bus war vom Gefährt nicht so toll, aber die Tiersichtungen dennoch super. Mit einem Jeep wäre es besser gewesen.

Mussten nach 3 Nächten abreisen

We had an unforgettable stay with Val and Neil! It felt like coming home and we were looked after so lovingly! Dinner and breakfast were delicious! The accommodation with its view of the garden, where the animals roam, and the whole property are simply paradise! We highly recommend spending time here! If we are in the area again, we will definitely book this accommodation again! It's wonderful to see how much dedication Val and Niel have put into building, preparing, maintaining, and enjoying everything! 10/10 ❤️

In een woord geweldig! Valerie en Neil waren fantastisch, het gezamenlijk eten in de prachtige tuin was zo leuk. Het eten was ook erg lekker. Daarna hebben we om een kampvuur gezeten met een wijntje en geluisterd naar de verhalen van Neil, geweldig. Wij hebben last minute een safari via hen geboekt. Valerie staat om 4.15 uur klaar voor je met een heerlijk ontbijt pakket, wat een service. Wij zouden hier graag nog eens terugkomen!

This property is amazing! Neil and Val are the most lovely people. They welcomed us into their lodge, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed half board and the food was top notch- cooked fresh and super tasty! The accommodation is fantastic, Game walking around the grounds and Charlie the crocodile laid basking in the lake in the sun was a pleasure to see. The rooms are well equipped and clean and the bed is so comfortable. Amazing place 10/10

Nothing at all- can’t fault it one bit

Es war wirklich ein besonderes Erlebnis bei Val und Neil. Abgesehen davon, dass die Unterkunft einfach wunderschön ist und man tolle Tiere direkt vor der Tür hat, sind die beiden einfach tolle Gastgeber und Menschen. Sie sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, servieren perfektes Essen und Frühstück, buchen den Transfer und die Safaris für einen und tun alles, um den Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen. Zusätzlich sind sie sehr interessante Menschen und können tolle Geschichten erzählen. Wir sind wirklich dankbar, dass wir so unseren Urlaub starten und uns einen großen Lebenstraum erfüllen konnten. Wir sind den beiden und ihrem Team wirklich sehr dankbar. Wir kommen wieder, irgendwann :)

Een fijne plek in het Marloth Park met een lieve gastvrouw en gastheer. Zij (Val) doet echt alles om het je naar de zin te maken. Ze heeft een day game drive voor ons geregeld met een goede gids. Wat een ervaring. En dan krijg je ontbijt mee. Je hoeft echt niet te verhongeren. Heerlijke broodjes! We werden uitgenodigd voor het avondeten en later voor een drankje op het terras. En laat Val de game drive voor je regelen. Goede prijs, goede gids. De kamer is groot met een heerlijk groot bed. We hebben het hier echt heerlijk gehad. En gezellig gekletst. Aanrader!!

De weg naar de accomodatie is echt een puinweg, dus dat is langzaam en voorzichtig rijden met een gewone auto. Met een 4x4 geen centje pijn.

Val & Neil zorgen enorm goed voor je. Wij hadden half pension, het eten was van hoge kwaliteit en lieten je echt geniet. Ook ‘s avonds bij het kampvuur was het zeer gezellig met elkaar. De kamer is ruim en zeer comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. WiFi werkt goed, bed ligt heerlijk. Via hen een safari in het Kruger Park, was zeer goed geregeld en veel uitleg gekregen. Bedankt voor de fantastische dagen.

Es war eine super schöne Zeit, die wir in Erinnerung behalten. Val und Nel und das ganze Team machen einen tollen Job den sie mitgenommen viel Liebe und Begeisterung machen. Besonders die Gespräche am Lagerfeuer über die Dung beetles werden wir nicht vergessen. Wir würden sofort wieder buchen. Danke für alles!

Alles war einfach Traumhaft! Die Gastgeber sind super lieb und es fühlte sich an wie bei den Großeltern! So liebevoll wurde ich noch nie in einem Urlaub behandelt! Unterkunft ist stehts sauber, die Tiere kommen bis zur Terasse und das Essen von Val ist fabelhaft! Neil und Val sind die BESTEN!🩷

Wir wurden unfassbar lieb aufgenommen und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt! Das frisch gekochte Abendessen haben wir abends zusammen mit den anderen Gästen sehr genossen. Val hat sich super lieb um alles gekümmert und uns eine Safari organisiert. Wir wären gerne was länger geblieben ❤️

Die Gastgeber und die Lage

10 Sterne und gerne noch mehr - Val und Neil sind wundervolle Gastgeber. Von ersten Moment an haben wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und wurden mit leckerem Essen während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes verwöhnt. Bei einem Glas Wein am Abend hatten wir tolle Gespräche und konnten den Tag entspannt ausklingen lassen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch die Orga für unsere Safari lief über die Unterkunft und war absolut unkompliziert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können einen Aufenthalt bei den beiden und der Dream of Africa Bush Lodge mit empfehlen!

De prachtige locatie. We zagen de dieren vanuit onze lodge. Het vriendelijke en lieve echtpaar Valerie en Niel. Het heerlijke eten en niet te vergeten de prachtige verhalen van Niel.

The host, neil and val are very warm and welcoming. They did everything to make us feel at home. Their attention to tiny details, and the instructions that they gave for our safari were impeccable and extremely helpful. Room was as mentioned on site. Food was delectable and exactly the way we liked it. Impalas and warthogs were regular visitors during our stay and you could see them right through the room and the dining area. Tip: Please do consider booking the full day safari through these guys. It is way better than the SAN park safari. Do go for a walk from the property to the crocodile river. It's barely 1.5 kms away. We found a group of giraffes on the way.

Bathrooms do not have a door. AC is of ~1 ton and felt small for the room. During our stay, the weather was quite pleasant and hence it barely sufficed. However, it may get difficult during summers.

Everything

What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Val and Neil treat you like family. Before the booking, Val's communications were first class, and this continued right through to the moment we checked out (even after, as Val wanted to know when we got to the airport and then back to Johannesburg)! The food was excellent throughout the say. Portions are extremely generous, as were Neil's wine pouring measures. Please don't think twice about booking Dream of Africa for your trip to Kruger. We hope that one day we'll be back.

Der Service und die Gastfreundlichkeit der Besitzer Val und Neil ist einfach herausragend und sucht seines Gleichen. Ganz zu schweigen von fantastischen Essen. Wir hätten uns keinen besseren Aufenthalt erträumen können. Die extrem guten Bewertungen sind absolut gerechtfertigt und wir können die Unterkunft nur jedem weiterempfehlen! Eine glatte 10/10.

We had a wonder full time when we visited this lodge. Neil and Val is so helpfull. The breakfasts and the dinners are superb! We where so happy to see so many wild animals passing their garden.

Wonderful place with lovely hosts

Location was very peaceful and convenient , about 20 mins drive to Crocodile bridge gate that offers excellent sightings. The property is very aesthetically designed. Room was typical bush house, very pleasant and self contained, with a porch from where to watch the numerous kudus, deer, warthogs that visit the premises. The hosts cooked and served some great dishes and were very nice to talk to.

The room would get stuffy at night, maybe because of safety issues there was no cross ventilation. We turned on the fan, to help solve the problem to some extent.

Fabulous Lodge close to Krueger Park for a true safari experience. Wonderful staff and excellent attention to every detail made for us a very comfortable stay. The owners Neil and Val always concerned with every detail to make us feel at home. Our host and knowledgeable guide Neil showed us some amazing African animals on our safari tour - an experience not to be missed!

We instantly felt at home thanks to their warmth and hospitality. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests. Our time here was amazing, and we left with memories we’ll cherish forever.

Dream of Africa Bush Lodge is a lovely place to stay to use as a base camp to explore the Kruger National Park. The hosts, Val and Neil, were welcoming, friendly, and informative. The food was amazing. Every night, they served a meat dish and a few incredible vegetable dishes. Val was also kind enough to pack us a breakfast on the morning that we left early to go to the park. The lodge is beautiful and is frequented by kudu, impala, wildebeest, and bush buck. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, with ceiling fans and a strong AC to help against the heat and humidity. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend the lodge.

My only critique is that our unit didn't have a bathroom door. The toilet is basically right next to the bedroom, behind a little wall. A sliding door to offer more privacy would make the room perfect.

Very warm welcome and atmosphere

We had such an amazing stay at Dream of Africa Bush Lodge! Val and Neil are just the best—so friendly, super helpful, and really fun to chat with. We honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without all their tips and help organising tours. And the food? Oh my gosh, it was incredible! The breakfast was massive—I couldn’t believe they packed such a big one for our self-drive safari day. It was such a thoughtful touch and kept us going all day. Dinner was hands down the best meal I had in South Africa—so delicious and exactly what we needed after a long day out. The pool was a lifesaver on those hot days, and having animals wandering around made it all even more special. Huge thanks to Val and Neil for making our stay so wonderful! We’ll never forget it.

The Dream of Africa Bush Lodge is an amazing cozy lodge with 4 rooms. It is very well located in Marloth park within short driving distance to Kruger National Park (Crocodile Gate is only 25 min away). What sets this lodge apart from other lodges is that it is run with great care and love by its owners Val and Neil. They take great care of their guests, are very friendly, super responsive to any kind of questions, very knowledgable about the area with great tips, and the best of all is their home made food - absolutely delicious. If you plan your safari/game drive, contact them first. They have excellent contacts for the best safari tours in Kruger. Overall, we had an amazing time and would always come back!

Excellent breakfast value for money

This was by far the most personalized stay of our trip through SA. Val & Neil are going the extra mile in making their guests feel at home. Their personalized approach sets them apart from all the rest. Diner and breakfast is being served in the central area of the lodge so you can meet and enjoy the company of other guests. The lodge is not huge though, which makes the overall atmosphere cozy and homely. It is situated at the Marloth park which is right next to Kruger (20 min drive). We booked 3 activities, a morning walk and night drive organized by Kruger and a full day safari led by the owners. The experience of Val & Neil was shown through the animals we were able to spot. Thank you for this wonderful stay, it really made our Kruger experience something to never forget.

We struggled a bit with the ideal temperature of our shower - I guess that's more related to the heating system.

Beautiful location. We loved the wildlife, kudu, bushbuck and warthogs visited all day. Val was an incredible hostess. So welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with a wonderful view of the garden.

Neil and Val were amazing hosts! The Lodge was fantastic and the fact that we had wild game shared the backyard with us around the boma was just special! We selected Dream of Africa because of the aesthetics and ambience we saw which made us feel like we were home again, in the bush, and could share a unique experience with our kids of what we remember the African Bush to be like. Val's attention to assigning us to Neil's safari and then other in-park tours/excursions was just great and took the load off us trying to do that ourselves, and they were all fantastic! And then the evening meals by our hosts were just so traditional with Neil's sharing all his safari and game stories! We felt so at home!

Val and her husband Neil were very welcoming, we enjoyed a peaceful weekend at their place. The place is lovely and very close to the Kruger. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities that we needed, we were able to braai. Val also assisted us with booking activities for quad biking and a game drive. The breakfast was amazing. We loved every minute that we spent there, we look forward to returning there.

The facilitiy Is Amazing, inside marloth park in the middle of wild nature. The hosts are Simply Great and helpful. The dinners and breakfasts were delicious. Safari experience recommended.

Book this accomodation, you will not regret it! We started our South Africa trip with visiting the Kruger Nationalpark and it was the best decision. We were warmly welcomed by Val and Neil. Their lodge is located in Marloth Park, which is 20min from the entrance (Crocodile Bridge) to Kruger Nationalpark. It is a beautiful lodge (hand-build by Neil) in a great area. You will already see lots of animals in their garden (like Kudus, Impalas, groundhogs, Zebras, Bush Baby etc.) and around Marloth Park. The lodges are spacious and very Cozy for relaxing after a long safari day. Val helped us with everything: detailed descriptions on the best roads to take, booking of all safari tours, filling out national park forms and more. We booked breakfast and dinner and it's heaven. There is a good chance that you will overeat as there is so much to choose from. On safari days Val packed us a big lunch box. We had amazing 5 nights at Neils and Vals place and would highly recommend staying with them.
