Die Unterkunft ist toll. Aber noch besser ist der Kontakt zu den Elefanten. Absolut außergewöhnliche Erfahrung! Nirgends kommt man den Elefante näher als hier! Die Elefantenführer sind alle sehr freundlich und sympathisch.

All the elephant experiences were really special, a really unique experience.

The room didn't have a view to the elephant area and if you don't go to the tours you basically don't see them. I really recommend getting there and having the experience with the elephants but the stay overnight is not giving some added value.

Rooms a were lovely and the experience with the elephants was great particularly at night.

Breakfast could have been better. A problem in the night with a smoke alarm going off and we could not contact the manager for 90 minutes, could do with someone on site for emergencies.

The elephants, the ladies in the restaurant who actually smiled and tried to be hospitable, some of the guides when engaging with the elephants

The fact that we were stared down during every meal by what I am assuming to be the manager of some sort. Tall white guy standing and looking at you whilst you eat felt very very uncomfortable. The breakfast is extremely underwhelming, the staff look unhappy, the rooms are ok, nothing great, the only highlight was time spent with the elephants. Service by the ladies in restaurant was nice. I expected better service, better standard rooms, our room was dirty, they tried moving us to single rooms that looked much cleaner but expected us to separate from our 2 kids who are under 10... The family room and other rooms as well as the viewing deck is so close and kids get so excited so watch the elephants late at night. Other adults are not mindful of the the fact that it's super quite, we right outside the rooms, it becomes so uncomfortable and you actually cannot enjoy the experience with your kids because you are in the middle of 3 other rooms occupied by adults with no kids and you have to either call it a night and miss what you paid for or sit through the uncomfortable noise. I would recommend this place for the experience a day time experience but not a stay over, it's not worth the price.

We had a wonderrful experience. Being up close with the elephants was incredible. As a local, I appreciated that the elephant encounter and a delicious breakfast were included in the stay. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming and the elephant guides were super. It is a wonderful cause!

My experience was incredible from start to finish. I had already discovered this place online before arriving in Knysna, so I booked both my room and the elephant walking experience for the following morning. The park also operates as a hotel and is located about 20 km from central Knysna. The road is paved and in good condition, with only the last kilometer being a dirt road, which is still very easy to access. The rooms are beautiful and are named after the elephants. They are spacious, with comfortable beds, bathrobes, a large coffee table, and a cozy sofa. One of the most special aspects of staying here is that the elephants can spend the night in a dedicated resting area visible from the hotel hallway. There are large sofas and blankets where guests can sit quietly and observe them. It was a truly beautiful and moving experience. The next morning, we joined the elephant walk. Jeffrey took us to the meeting point, and David guided the experience with me and the lovely Sally. I absolutely loved it. The photos turned out so beautifully that I couldn’t resist buying the entire package. For 350 rand, I received all the digital files on a USB drive as well as a printed A5 photo. After the experience, we were invited to the restaurant, where I could freely choose from a delicious breakfast menu. I loved combining the hotel stay with the elephant walk. It was a very special and memorable experience. Throughout the visit, the staff emphasized the elephants’ welfare and explained the care they receive. The activities are accompanied by biologists and trained professionals who clearly demonstrate their commitment to the animals’ well-being. I would highly recommend this experience to couples, families, and children. It was emotional, educational, and unforgettable.

Very clean and comfortable and stylish accommodation. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Restaurant had great food and was very reasonably priced. Room had snacks and wine to choose from and we saw the elephants come in to sleep in the boma overnight from our room. All facilities were very clean at all times. Could not fault anyrhing!

The generator noise until 22h30pm and then again at 5am, but this is not the norm and was necessary after recent storm damage to the region.

Es war ein ganz tolles besondetes Erlebnis. Die Elefanten nachts zu beobachten, wie sie sich verhalten, wenn sie im Stehen schlafen bzw. sich plötzlich richtig hinlegen. Besonders den anwesenden Kindern hat es richtig gut gefallen. Für kleinere Kinder gibt es dort auch eiben Spielplatz.

Die Lodge liegt etwas einsam. Abends alles dunkel rundherum. Wir waren dafür nachmittags in der Plettenberg Bay bei Enrico Pizza essen.

We have driven past 4 times on previous visits and finally decided to stop and spend a couple of bad weather days with the elephants. Everything exceeded our expectations - great food, an amazing room above where the elephants sleep, and informative guide/handlers.

Personal war superlieb, wir haben die meet the herd tour gemacht und ein paar Elefanten gefüttert. Im Stall waren über Nacht leider keine Elefanten, aber wenn man Glück hat ist das bestimmt schön!

Wir fanden das Restaurant okay, würden aber künftig eher woanders hingehen.

Het bed sliep erg lekker en het was leuk om de olifanten van zo dichtbij te zien.

Van al het personeel kwam nooit een glimlachje af, zowel niet bij aankomst- als bij vertrek. Ze waren niet zo vriendelijk. Ook raden wij je af om bij Indlovu café te eten dat gelegen is op het terrein. Het is meer een ongezellige snackbar dan een restaurant, daarbij hebben wij allebei daarna een voedselvergifiting opgelopen na het eten daar. Op ons bed lag bij aankomst ook een koekje op ons kussen, erg lief, maar dat koekje was ook al een paar weken overdatum. De locatie is ook erg toeristisch. Je wordt erg gepushed door het personeel om mee te gaan met de tours en dingen daar te kopen. Ze kijken je verbaast aan als je dat niet doet.

This was a highlight. The rooms are big and comfortable. We stayed in the room that looks into the elephant sleeping quarters. Is highly recommend that. It was magical. The staff were all so lovely and caring.

From the moment we arrived till we left the next morning, we enjoyed much elephant time, knowledge, friendliness, good food ( recommend the carrot cake) and revelled in our time with Mac and then our shared living space with the elephants. Couldn’t have been better! Go!!!

A clean and neat room on arrival. Early arrival and we were accommodated - thank you. Our guide on the elephant walk was knowledgeable. Good photograph quality. An excellent and wholesome breakfast. The manager who took us on a special visit with Harry - thank you for going the extra mile.

Loved every minute of our stay. The whole experience staying at Knynsa Elephant Park was just amazing. Our room was large and comfortable with a large balcony, great views watching the Elephants and Zebras. We booked the 'Walking with Elephants' as an extra charge, such a wonderful experience getting up close and walking with the gentle giants. All of the staff throughout the facility were so helpful and friendly and made sure you got the best experience possible. Breakfast and evening meals were served in the main restaurant, good choices, served both inside and out in the gardens. Being able to see the Elephants through the night resting from the guest lounge viewing balcony was very special.

Die Lage der Zimmer mit Blick auf das Elefantenhaus war toll! Die Anlage war auch schön, es gab zwei Spielplätze und die Kinder konnten sich frei bewegen. Man konnte auch die Zebras und Elefanten beobachten.

In unserem Zimmer waren überall Ameisen, die wir später sogar noch im Rucksack und im Mietwagen wiederfanden. Das war nicht schön. Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Das Personal war auch nicht so freundlich. Am Abreisetag ließ sich der Safe nicht mehr öffnen, er musste mit der Kreissäge geöffnet werden.

The most amazing experience of my entire life. Friendliness & professionalism of the staff was second to none, and not just the Elephant Guides (so knowledgeable), but all staff … the curio shop ladies, the restaurant chefs and wwaiters, lodge cleaners and photographers for experiences - just Fantastic! The Elephants - Sally, Nandi, Thandi, Thabot & Keisha & all the Boys are well looked after and loved 🥰 - u can feel the love the carers have when they talk about them. Watching elephants from the room was truly an incredible experience.

One of the apartments didn’t have air conditioning, so the heat was hard to bear. The breakfast was poor, with a limited selection of food, a cracked glass, and dirty utensils.

Lovely place, comfortable well equipped rooms with the special bonus of watching the elephants sleep. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the meet the Elephants experience is wonderful.

zimmer ganz ok, aber keinesfalls 4 sterne..

eigentlich fast alles... die haltung der elefanten ist unter zoo niveau, die informationen die man beim elefantenfüttern bekommt sind quasi 0, allgemein absolute touristenmasche, da haben selbst elefanten im zoo mehr abwechslung. empfehlenswert?! nein, vorallem nicht, wenn man weiss, wie elefanten in der wildnis leben.. Abgesehen davon: betten total durchgelegen, zu kurz (als fast 2 meter mann kein platz, füsse gucken bis zum unterschenkel raus), frühstück erinnert an kantine und das zimmer ist ganz ok, aber badezimmer teilweise renovierungsbedürftig.

Leuke ervaring. Mooie opvang voor olifanten die kort na geboorte alleen komen te staan. Mooi om te zien dat andere olifant ze adopteerden Eten is lekker.

Es war ein Abenteuer direkt bei den Elefanten zu sein. Auch der Blick in den Stall war super, auch wenn die Elefanten in der Nacht entschieden hatten, draußen zu bleiben.

Man muss sich bewusst sein, das es im Grunde ein Tierpark mit übernachtungsmöglichkeit ist. Daher war das Abendessen ebenfalls eher Burger und Pommes. Für uns okay, aber eben nicht vergleichbar mit einem klassischen Restaurant

Die unmittelbare Nähe zu den Elefanten war beeindruckend. In der Nacht können die Elefanten in einen Stall gehen, der unmittelbar an die Zimmer anschliesst und man kann die Elefanten auf einer gemütlichen Galerie beobachten. Die Fütterung und der kurze Spaziergang sind bei der Übernachtung inklusive und können beliebig oft gemacht werden. Nur der Futterkübel ist zu bezahlen.

If you look for peaceful magic, it is definitely one the places to go. We spent a night there. We had an amazing lodge where we had a window with a view on the elephants' bedroom, and the balcony on the parc. The day we arrived, we observed the elephants, we were like kids checking on them through our window from time to time, in the middle of the night, early morning! We also had dinner in the restaurant. Deon welcomed us very warmly. Very nice to chat with him. He is amazing-thank you! He also guided us and recommended the best to have at the restaurant. The ribs I had, were the best I ever had! Please, order this if you are going there! And, the carrot cake!!!!! Made from scratch in the restaurant by a magic lady! Well done! The next morning, we went to meet the herd. We had a wonderful guide, we fed the elephants and had a walk with them. Magic moments. During my life i try to compile a 'life album' as I call it- making memories, And this one, is one of the tops! Magic- emotional-beautiful- deep!

O quarto que tinha vista pros elefantes dormindo, é um container dentro de um grande galpão. Não tem uma experiência tão incrível o contato com os elefantes. Parece mais um zoológico privado. Para nós não valeu o custo benefício.

Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir hatten ein Zimmer direkt neben dem nächtlichen Unterschlupf der Elefanten und konnten sie in der Nacht beobachten.

The stars of the show are the resident elephants, along with the staff , including the handlers. We fed the elephants and spent some time with one of them in a group of four, along with our guise, Samson, who was kind enough to carry our cases up the one flight of stairs (outside). Breakfast was excellent. Our room opened onto the elephant dormitory.

We would have liked a bigger fridge in the room.

Wir hatten unser Zimmer direkt am Elefantenhaus und konnten nachts die Elefanten durch eine Scheibe beobachten. Eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung! Die Guides gehen sehr gut mit den Tieren um und man merkt, dass die Elefanten ihnen am Herzen liegen.

Wir finden, dass es täglich zu viele Touren mit den Elefanten gibt (jede halbe Stunde eine Tour -zwischen 9 und 16 Uhr- einen Morgenspaziergang und einen Abendspaziergang. Wir würden es besser finden wenn die Fütterungstouren auf mind. Einmal pro Stunde reduziert werden.

Incredible experience!! We stayed at the reserve and it was the best we could have asked for!! I recommend it for all ages. The care and affection shown to the animals is beautiful, as is the entire project of preservation, research, and education. The animals live freely in the park; they are not trained or forced to do anything. This made the experience even better! The research team was always nearby. As for the accommodations, they are all new and very beautiful, quiet, and cozy. Full and very good breakfast. Free parking.
