Pretty noisy, we had noisy neighbours on the right side playing music into the early hours of the morning which was frustrating but ultimately not something the accommodation can control

Too many stairs, calves died, but this is just a fair warning, it's worth it if you can do it. Main issue: the lighting sucks, it was so dim and dull and for some reason they had no handwash?

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026La ubicación, las vistas, nos dejaban agua todos los días, café y té, la habitación era muy linda y las camas eran muy cómodas. El personal era muy amable y tienen servicio de lavandería.
El baño no era muy lindo, el inodoro nunca estaba 100% limpio y la ducha era muy pequeña. Durante toda la estancia hubo hormigas en la habitación, en las paredes y en la cama también.

We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony — a really nice place to relax and take in the surroundings. A great choice for a stay in Koh Phi Phi. We would happily recommend it!

We choose to stay on the top of the hill to have better views but at night is more noisy. If you want a quiet place at night is better you stay at the rooms from half to down the hill.

They unfortunately have a residual water treatment building not so far, so on the way to the hotel the smell is quite wild, but from the hotel you dont get that odor.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026The location is fantastic, and the views from the upper bungalows are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset from the balcony was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel also offers activities such as island boat trips and a laundry service, which is very convenient. Another great touch is the complimentary luggage transfer from the pier to the hotel, and the staff even help you to carry your bags up to the bungalows
I wasn’t a big fan of the number of stairs needed to reach the bungalow, but that’s the trade-off for such stunning views. In the end, the scenery makes the climb worth it, so I can’t really complain.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Schöne Aussicht auf die Insel, Pool war okay. Wir wurden mit unserem Gepäck am Pier abgeholt aber beim Auschecken nicht mehr mit dem Hintern angeschaut.
Bettlaken, Wände und Badezimmer leider sehr schmutzig. Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Hört sogar Nachbaren des Hotels nebenan nachhause laufen weil Fenster nicht geschlossen werden können. Obwohl Check-Out erst um 10am war, wurden wir bereist um 9am von der Putzfrau rausgeworfen.

Ужасно твердая кровать , кругом щели , везде комары , муравьи . Все очень старое , при этом владелец еще пишет что будет штраф 10000 бат за журнальный старый столик если случайно сломаешь его . Да там все ржавое . Не рекомендую это место . Добраться до номера, сущее мучение , надо идти в гору . С пляжа до утра, играет музыка - если сверху заселился сосед - считай сна вообще нет , кругом живут европейские студенты которые курят канабис. Даже не думайте бронировать это место. И плюс еще обезьяны с пальмы скачут на крышу… психиатрическая больница а не отель 😒

Le choix du haut à été judicieux, de plus ils vous mobtent les bagages, c'est calme et on domine le cœur de l'île et c'est tres propre. Les plages sont à 10 mn comme le centre de la ville. L'accueil a été excellent pour tout type de service, resa Excursion en bateau, ticket pour quitter l'ile, tjrs avec le sourire

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026The hotel is in a prime location but is also quiet and relaxing. The room was a good size and we had our own balcony with a great view. They met us at the pier when we arrived to carry our bags to the hotel. We booked a tour with the hotel which was was really good and we also booked our ferry to Koh lanta with them.
There are lots of steps to the room which wasn’t an issue for us but it would be if you had mobility issues. The rooms could do with a bit of tlc as there were quite a few marks on the walls and curtains. The shower pressure wasn’t very good

The room is warm despite air conditioning, especially during the day and the toilet was not very clean. Insufficient plugs and no chairs to sit in the room. Was supposed to get our luggage picked up from the pier but they never showed up so we had to walk all the way to the accommodation with our large suitcases.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Hotel staff were fantastic, met us on our arrival at the pier. During our stay also the staff were excellent. Location was around 10 minutes from pier, and in the midst of the shops, bars and restaurants.
Our stay was really let down by a nearby hotel that held a pool party every night from 6pm until 3.30am and the levels of music were just crazy. God knows how they are allowed to get away with it but I guess the majority of visitors to Phi Phi are youngsters who stay up most of the night anyway, but for us the constant bass beating was something that really ruined our stay, but Uphill Cottage and its staff were fantastic.
