Everything! It’s a unique concept where rooms are located at the canopy level to see far and wide. The plunge pool in every apartment was special.

La ubicación es excepcional, pero es que la villa es ESPECTACULAR, es super amplia, muy muy limpia, todo ordenador, la atención también es muy buena y la comida está buenísima y abundante!. Además yo elegí un pack que incluía un pequeño safari de tarde por los alrededores y un desayuno flotante y fue de 11 todo! increble el desayuno y el chico que nos hico el safari por los alrededores!. Además contratamos con ellos el safari e hicieron TOODO porque viviéramos una experiencia increíble! no pudimos ver el leopardo de cerca, pero no séra por todo lo que lo intentaron!

Tienen un precio muy elevado en la carta de bebidas y comidas, pero por lo demás todo muy bien!

We had a lovely few day at the O2 Villas Yala, The villa was comfortable and met all our needs. We ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings, and the food was great. Breakfasts were fabulous, including the take away breakfast that we had for our safari day. All the staff were incredibly helpful and warm. The manager, Lahiru, was exceptional at managing our stay , answering any queries we might have promptly and efficiently. I would also like to mention Sanjay who took us down to the beach for sunset. He was very informative. The location is excellent for Yala.

Maybe a parasol in the pool area would be useful. I also feel that the cost of the bonfire set up was excessive.

Wat een paradijs in de jungle. Echt geweldige accommodatie. Een verblijf van max 3 nachten hier is top. Yala national park is interessant en ook de strand Safari. Maar daar buiten kun je niet veel.

Einfach alles! Der eigene Pool, die wahnsinnig komfortablen Betten und wohnen in den Baumkronen mit Meerblick waren ein Traum. Das Essen ganz hervorragend und das Personal steht zugegen und sehr freundlich. In besonders positiver Erinnerung bleibt uns die private Mini-Safari im Golfcar mit Suraj. Wir haben mit ihm Elefanten, Krokodile, Affen, Vögel und vieles mehr gesehen und dabei viel gelernt. Er brachte uns außerdem zu wunderschönen Dünen. Rückblickend hätten wir uns so “echte” Safari in Yala sparen sollen und sofort zur O2 Villa kommen sollen.

Hier gibt es absolut nichts zu beanstanden

Seemed very expensive for what it actually is. Maybe better suited to larger families, struggling to understand why it’s priced at that level. Jacuzzi isn’t actually a Jacuzzi, it’s a jet bath normally installed inside a property

Die Lage des Ressorts am Rande des Nationalparks ist wunderschön und auch praktisch, um zu den Safaris zu fahren. Personal - angefangen vom Manager - ist absolut professionell, aufmerksam und freundlich. Prima fanden wir auch die angebotene Tour rund um das Ressort und zum Strand. Frühstück war sehr gut. Die neu gebauten Villen sahen sehr gut aus, wir waren aber in einer der alten Villen. Diese benötigen an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas Überarbeitung, sind aber noch o.k.

Die Preise für die Minibar sind exorbitant hoch, also unbedingt vorher im Ort einkaufen. Auch die Preise für das eher durchschnittliche Abendessen sind deutlich zu hoch.

My entire family LOVED this hotel and we were sad to leave. The family suite was gorgeous and so well appointed. We loved the attached pool, the indoor/outdoor shower, and so much more. We had dinner in the restaurant and the ultimate highlight of our stay was the golf cart safari and purple sand beach adventure. Staff was fantastic and of course our safari in Yala was incredible. Highly recommend this gorgeous place.

Everything was very good and the staff were so friendly and helpful at all times! However, the AC in the room was terrible and we suffered as we had our baby with us and most of the time it was warm and humid as the AC was not working properly or not enough for the big villa. Otherwise everything was absolutely amazing, Suresh I believe his name is was extremely helpful and sweet and showed us around the hotel and crocodile lake and even went with us to the safari which we truly appreciated!

Our 5-night stay at O2 Villas Yala honestly felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being welcomed into a private home by people who genuinely care about your experience. From the moment we arrived, Michael, the manager, made everything feel personal, warm, and effortless. You can really feel that the team takes pride in creating something special here. Every detail was handled with care, and throughout the entire stay we felt looked after in the most natural and thoughtful way. A huge thank you as well to Thilina, Deshan, Suresh, Suraj, Madushanka, Shehan, and Milind — every single one of them was incredibly attentive, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. What stood out most was how genuine everyone was. Nothing felt forced or “hotel scripted.” They remembered our preferences, checked in on us constantly, and made us feel completely relaxed. The villa itself was beautiful — stylish, peaceful, and perfectly designed to blend luxury with nature. The pool overlooking the greenery quickly became one of our favorite spots, especially during sunset after safari days. Everything felt calm, private, and immersive, exactly what you hope for when visiting Yala. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was the romantic dinner under the stars. The setup was beautiful, intimate, and incredibly special. We also absolutely loved the cooking class. It was fun, interactive, and gave us a chance to experience Sri Lankan culture in a more personal way. And the food throughout the stay was exceptional — easily some of the best food we had during our Sri Lanka trip. Every meal felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. O2 Yala gave us something very rare in travel today: luxury that still feels deeply human and personal. If you are looking for a peaceful, stylish stay near Yala with truly caring hospitality, this place is very special. We already miss the team and hope to come back again someday.

La villa contaba con dos habitaciones, era muy amplia, tenía piscina propia, vista al mar, y absolutamente todas las cosas básicas que podrías necesitar. La playa queda a 10 minutos caminando. Destaco al personal que son muy amables, y la comida del restaurante también bastante buenas.

The villas are beautifully situated and reached by a treetop walkway. They are clean and comfortable and the indoor/outdoor pool was a lovely surprise for our children and very refreshing after a spot of sunbathing. Nature is all around and we had monkeys and chipmunks as regular balcony visitors as well as a resident frog. The best part undoubtedly was the friendliness of the staff. Purdeep, Mike and their teams are a credit to the company and made it one of our favourite stays.

A little more traditional furniture would be nice in the villas - the wardrobe for example. Our air con was a little less powerful than I would have liked but the other bedroom was fine.

We loved everything about our stay. It was honestly exceptional in every area. Our villa was stunning with every attention to detail. It was really light and spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed felt like floating on a cloud - I slept the best sleep while here - and we stayed in five different hotels while touring around Sri Lanka. Our private pool was also perfect. There are not enough superlatives to fully justify how amazing this place is. We will return one day. Special thanks to the wonderful team of staff who took care of everything for us. Lovely villas truly immersed in nature. Rooms were very comfortable and the private pool was stunning. Food was very good and staff were extremely attentive.

Michael and his team were extremely helpful in getting us settled in and enjoying a relaxing holiday, including a safari to Yala National Park. The villas were beautiful, and they included a private pool. The rooms were new, and their attention to decor and comfort is evident at every turn. The staff is amazing, and every member was ready and professional to support our relaxing stay. This is a wonderful property that is supported by an outstanding team!

Die Lage ist sehr schön und auf die Zimmer sind sehr schön dekoriert. Der Pool war auch sehr toll!

Leider hat uns dieses Hotel mit sehr vielen kleinen Punkten nicht überzeugt:( Wir finden das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier einfach nicht. Wir konnten noch ein Angebot ergattern und sogar das fanden wir vom Preis her nicht stimmig. Die Villa fanden wir auf den ersten Blick wunderschön doch mit der Zeit merkte man viele Dinge "Made in China". Was uns auch ein Mitarbeiter dann bestätigt hat 🤭. Die vielen Lichtschalter waren verwirrend. Der Strom fiel mind. 20 Mal am Tag aus, so das ein erholsamer Schlaf nicht möglich war, die Klimaanlage ging nicht von alleine wieder an, man musste aufstehen und einen eigenen Schalter dafür betätigen.. Nachts nicht so lustig. Ebenso gab es einen eigenen Schalter für das Warmwasser was uns niemand mitteilte so das wir 2 Tage kein Warmwasser zum duschen hatten. Auch das Restaurant war immer leer und hatte eher eine Kantinen Atmosphäre als gemütliches Essen. Im Zimmer gab es eine wunderbare 5 Seitige Frühstücks Karte jedoch gab es nur 6 klassische (wie überall) Gerichte zur Auswahl. Als Ausrede meinte man weil keine Saison ist? März ist Saison dort! Vieles hat einfach nicht gepasst zu diesem unglaublich hohen Preis!

Everything about this place was incredible. The villas and rooms are beautifully designed and set in a stunning natural environment that makes the whole stay feel peaceful and luxurious. The location is perfect for visiting Yala and the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. What truly made the experience special, however, was the staff. Every member of the team was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay, and their hospitality really stood out.

There was honestly nothing to dislike. The property exceeded our expectations in every way.

The staff were impeccable - Pradeep took us on both of our safaris to both Yala and Bundala and couldn't do more to ensure our day was enjoyable, he spotted animals, packed us snacks and drinks and was really fun to spend the day with. Abijaya took us (and the resident dogs and puppies) for a sandune walk and Hiruka looked after us through meals and fed and watered us. And jointly they arranged the most beautiful bonfire bbq seafood and meat dinner for us on our last night. We also loved the new clean 2-bedroom villa with pool with sea views. The hotel is in close proximity to the main parks and has monkeys, squirrels, birds, monitor lizards on site.

There wasn't anything to dislike necessary, just important disclosures. For some reason there were no other guests when we stayed. The hotel has frequent power cuts and with the heat this impacts air conditioning and the fridge and the hot water.but the power is restored promptly. The hotel is also not entirely complete. There are spaces downstairs at each villa which was supposed to be a fish pond but it is to be done in the future so for now it is just an empty concrete space. The wine list is very limited (literally only 1 bottle of rose). Food is so so but this a combination of produce supply and refridgeration.

Excellent pour le safari

The staff and the service we received were fantastic. Special thanks to Telina and Mike for their patience, support, and kindness throughout our stay. We enjoyed a lovely beach safari tour with Telina, who professionally guided us and showed us an incredible sunset view as well as many interesting animals. We celebrated a birthday during our stay, and the staff and the hotel manager arranged an unforgettable bonfire dinner. The memory of this celebration will remain with us for a long time. The room had everything one needs to feel at home, including a stunning view of the lush green nature and the beach. It is a very peaceful place. We enjoyed all the meals, which were well prepared and very tasty. This hotel is a paradise for those who love to wake up to a beautiful sunrise and for those who enjoy sitting on the terrace with a morning coffee while listening to the wonderful sounds of nature waking up.

The pool was not in good condition. The restaurant did not have the whole menu and what was available was limited.

We spent three nights here, and it was an absolute dream. Every single member of the staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful. They contributed enormously to our positive experience. We were looked after with great care, and every wish was fulfilled with genuine attentiveness and kindness. The food was spectacular—truly at an outstanding level. We have not eaten better anywhere else. Chef Danushka is a true master of his craft, and every dish reflected his talent and passion. The hotel also provided us with an excellent guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us so many beautiful places. The evening beach tour is highly recommended—it was by far the most beautiful beach I have seen in Sri Lanka. Nestled in the middle of the jungle, the hotel offers the unique opportunity to observe wildlife directly from your room. One morning, the hotel organized a safari for us in Yala National Park, which was absolutely breathtaking. We saw an incredible number of animals, and the driver did a fantastic job, ensuring we had the best possible experience and could see as much as possible. Since we did not want to take our eight-month-old daughter on the safari, Dinithi from the Operations Team lovingly took care of her. We were so grateful. She did a wonderful job—our daughter adored her and always lit up with a big smile whenever she saw her. This stay was truly unforgettable, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Everything was fantastic, nothing negative to say!

It’s very close to Yala national park and therefore to the nature. You can find an elephant just few minutes walk from the property and the nearby beach is also stunning! Our guides in the resort are very helpful and friendly, food is great!

They are undergoing renovations whene we were there, it could’ve been easier if the water heater and pressure was fixed before our stay.

Executive villa was beautiful, comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. Outdoor- indoor shower and internal trees a beautiful touch. Staff were super helpful and attentive. Special mention to chef Danushka.

The canopy with the houses on a higher level gives a nice view of the ocean and the jungle. Staff served a copious breakfast and tried their best to mitigate the numerous problems the property has due to poor execution and finishing.

Overpriced The private pool could not be used due to technical issues that were not resolved. So, the water was green and dirty. No sound insulation due to bad quality doors and windows. It smelled like sewage outside the whole time, so we had to stay inside. The wifi in our room was not connected. Before going to bed we had had to kill bugs everywhere (on our beds, pillows, floor, cabinets etc.). They invaded the bathroom and bedrooms due to the open bathroom concept and because the staff left the lights on in the evening.

We spent two absolutely fantastic days and nights at O2 Villa Resort in one of their magnificent tree-top villas. The villas are incredibly beautiful and tastefully decorated, offering a stunning view and a profoundly tranquil, magical atmosphere. A huge thank you to the amazing Amantha, who helped us celebrate a 50th birthday. Everything was perfectly arranged: beautiful room decorations, a cake and an outdoor barbecue. Thanks also to Feddie for the wonderful guidance and stories. Our sunset excursion to the deserted beach was unforgettable—we saw crocodiles and monkeys! The entire team provided the best care. From the chef who prepared incredible food to the staff who arranged a safari tour (including packed meals), we felt genuinely looked after. We highly recommend O2 Villa Resort to anyone seeking something special, delivered with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. This is a fantastic place with an even more fantastic team.

alles verliep perfect van het inchecken tot het uitchecken. Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam, uitleg op de kamer van functies van verlichting, airco en mini bar. Toegang tot restaurant , strand , alles inclusief. Idem voor uitleg restaurant, jeep safari, ontbijt. Alles perfect geregeld! HET MATRAS EN BED HEERLIJK van top kwaliteit ? de badkamer en inloopdouche met verbinding naar het zwembad.

The concept of the property is nice - more villas on two levels - the lower part guests the restaurant and the bar, built in a planted forest, and the upper part, above the canopy, is the actual villas, overlooking the ocean. Our accommodation was part of the old part of the resort, a two villas niche isolated by a mud-traditional wall, so it had a garden view, overlooking the pool and the other villa.

Services! While the stuff is nice & friendly, most of them don’t know the basics of hotel services: we had to wait for about an hour for breakfast and dinner, which is a shame since we have ordered them a day before & the food was tasty. The cleaning services are disastrous, they are only doing the beds, the bathroom and floors are dirty, all appliances look very dated and old, although they are no more than 5-6 y.o.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful cabins in Yala. Amazing food onsite and they also organized our Safari drives. Highly recommended especially because of their service. Particularly appreciated Hiruka, who made the restaurant feel like our home dining room, and Dinithi for her thoughtful touches and constant service. They also had sweet puppies at every villa as their guardians, loved everything.

Very very minor but their delicious Sri Lankan rice and curry menu for dinner was the same on both nights, the food was so good that I wish we could've tried more things from the chef.

Wow. We stayed at o2 villas for 2 nights on an all inclusive basis and were blown away by the rooms, service, food and safari. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The villa with outside pool was stunning. We went on an afternoon safari and managed to see all of the major animals in the park. We also enjoyed 2 walking safaris from the villas, where we saw crocodiles, monitor lizards and beach wildlife. This was the real highlight of our 2 week trip in Sri Lanka. We would highly recommend staying here. It’s perhaps a bit more expensive than some alternatives but in our opinion worth every penny. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect oasis with a wonderful space designed to integrate nature with a spacious interior made even better by the bathroom with an outdoor shower. The food was terrific and the staff was exceptional. Wish we had more time but our stay was terrific.

Yala NP. Not at all a reflection on the property because we booked a safari on our own but the safari was a jeep ride in traffic with so few animals that we wished we had slept in and stayed at the property.

Fantastische villa. Er zijn er 2, maar wij waren de enige tijdens het verblijf. We zijn ons hele verblijf super geholpen door Suraj en Maduranga zij hebben ons verblijf geweldig gemaakt. Ze namen ons mee op een wandeling door de natuur en door een vissersdorpje. De jongens zijn zelfs als gidsen met ons mee geweest op safari. Was echt geweldig!! Ook het eten bij de Villa was heerlijk! Echt een aanrader!

It's pretty wild here and you are right in amongst nature and all that brings. So it just might not be for some people!

Prachtige accommodatie, de mensen waren onwijs behulpzaam en vriendelijk. We voelden ons echt welkom. Leuk wandeltochtje gemaakt naar het strand en de duinen onder begeleiding van de mensen daar, aanrader! Vlak naast de villa zaten twee olifanten. Eten was heerlijk.

Hele mooie villa voor het echte Safari gevoel. Lekker privé zwembad en meerdere zitjes. Fantastisch personeel dat er alles aan doet om het verblijf een bijzondere ervaring te maken met een bush walk en een wandeling naar een krokodillen meer. Erg goede restaurant faciliteiten voor ontbijt, lunch en diner die hele dag door beschikbaar is.

10 mins rijden van de hoofdingang van Yala National Park liggen 2 schitterende villa's in een afgesloten tuin-omgeving. Beide geweldig verzorgd. Lekkere buitenruimte op alle etages met view over het park en richting de oceaan. Medewerkers super behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ze nemen je mee op een bush walk naar zee. Schitterende duinen, rood strand. Prachtig en leuk. Je kunt ter plekke eten met keuze uit ruime menukaart. Intieme plek. Wij gaven dit de voorkeur boven een tent maar voelde de ervaring in de natuur voelde soortgelijk aan, maar dan met airco en wat meer luxe.

Villa kan hier en daar wat klein onderhoud gebruiken om het nog meer spik en span te krijgen. Jacuzzi op het dak zag er niet uit alsof hij veel werd gebruikt. Hebben wij ook niet om gevraagd. Weet zeker dat medewerkers dit graag geregeld hadden als nodig was.

The property is beautifully presented with well attentive staff who are willing to help in any way possible. On a property in the Yala national park where you can hear the bird churping and the ocean roaring, it is a beautiful stay. You'll read the reviews complaining about animals in rooms. The downstairs bathroom is an open concept where the fresh air swarms around as much as the leaves fall in. Expect a visitor. We had some small frogs and a non venomous little snake. Yes, it scared the living hell to have it stare me in the face as I went to turn on the shower but it's all part of the experience and something our young daughter will laugh about how I screamed for years to come. But we signed up for the experience, and we got it and loved every moment we didn't want to leave.

What an amazing place! Location is way way cooler and nicer than on pics. But what it truly make it stand out is the staff. From Pradeep to Asintha and all the other lovely staff they all make you feel at home and having a family abroad. Truly truly unique. Would love to come back!

Very comfortable villa with everything we needed. Staff were absolutely fantastic and really went out their way to make our trip extra special.

Hands down our favourite hotel of the trip. The villa is gorgeous, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The whoops of joy as our kids explored the place said it all! Private pool, incredible food, attentive staff, wildlife all around. On our first evening, the guides took us to the red sand beach, about a 20 minute walk away. Very beautiful. You walk past a lake with baby crocs, can spot iguanas and other wildlife. Magical. We booked a safari through the hotel, the jeep was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They packed us a breakfast to take with. The service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave.

Long walk to beach

The perfect getaway in this wonderful villa. Ideal when seeking a change from the mainstream hotels. We were met on arrival by our host who showed us around the villa. There is ample space and lots of different tastefully themed areas to relax including own pool (this is unheated and in the shade but in the Sri Lankan sun was really welcome!) We loved the trees rooted in the lounge and the outdoor shower (there's another upstairs as well as two sun terraces). The property really is unique. Thanks to the guys for the walking tour down to the beach with the friendly dogs for company (the beach is deserted and beautiful but not suitable for swimming due to the waves and undertow). Also thanks crew for the mini safari and trip to the fisherman's village which is a totally non touristy genuine and friendly place. On the impromptu mini safari we spotted star tortoises, crocodiles, water buffalo, peacocks, mongoose, foxes, monkeys and lots more. The food was delicious and plentiful with a good menu choice. You do need to eat in, as you are away from the main hotels and the shops are only basic in this area. That is the charm however, you are safely within nature with a team who know and respect it. We used O2 as a base to visit Yala National Park (we saw leopards on our morning visit!) and can thoroughly recommend the whole experience and hope to be back sometime.
