It had many of the comforts of home. The decor was warm, upscale and inviting. It’s like they thought of everything. Towels laid out, coffee maker, a tray to make coffee, breakfast fixings in the refrigerator… Then some extras - blackout shades, chocolate chip cookies, fluffy pillows, a patio with table and chairs, a beautiful garden with a hammock….Makes you feel like you are in nature. Worth the trip from the airport. Our host was accommodating and friendly - the type of special attention you get from a family owned business.

What we liked: The view is very good. What did didn't like Part 1: The hostess Maria was condescending and rude. We booked the entire villa, which is a four bedroom space, plus pool, living room, kitchen. When we arrived she told us that because there were only two of us (and we were a couple) if we wanted to use all four bedrooms there would be an additional charge... Now, we didn't need the extra three bedrooms and had no intention of using them, but if we wanted to we should have been able to do whatever we liked since we booked the whole place. We booked this location specifically for its proximity to the airport, since we had a very early flight out the next day and were leaving the property at 5 AM. This was less than a one day stay for us. From the start, we get the lecture about the extra cost, which wasn't worth the argument since we were there for such a short period of time anyway. Maria then informed us that there was a wedding planned for the space the next day, which was why there was a large cage (for strobe lights and a dance floor) partially set up in front of the pool. This too was not a big deal since we could still easily swim. However, the pool itself was not clean, there was dirt all over the bottom and we had to skim a lot of dead leaves and bugs off the top. Around the pool there were dirty glasses strewn about and a cardboard box full of empty liquor bottles. Inside, at first the space is dazzling,however, upon closer inspection everything was dirty and cobbled together on the cheap. Missing knobs, light switches, dust on stuff, random clothing in the closets, drawers full of junk, AC units made a lot of noise, etc. The whole space (plus Maria’s constant lurking) gave off the impression that someone was doing us the favor of allowing us to crash in their home for the night vs. a hotel experience which we paid close $400 USD to stay in for a single night.

What did didn't like Part 2: The master bedroom was not comfortable, the bathrobes provided were cheap and scratchy, there was someone else’s clothes in the closet and there was an issue with the plumbing that caused whole room to smell of sewage. We lit a candle, opened every window, turned on the AC fan, etc. nothing could stymie it. Finally we covered a grate in the bathroom floor with a towel and that seemed to do the trick. I suggest sleeping in one of the other rooms, but we didn’t want to be charged additionally for doing that. My boyfriend suggested we sleep upstairs on the couch in the living room, however that was not possible because the wedding set up team arrived with no warning at 6 PM and began setting up lights and sound equipment, which they were doing until 2 AM. This was all happening about 10 feet away from the sliding door in the living room and we could hear them all night clanging away all the way downstairs in the bedroom. This was one of the more frustrating things that happened because at no point did Maria so much as mention to us “Hey, please be advised there will be a team of guys here erecting a large metal structure, blasting music, and testing lights in front of your room for most of the evening and well into the night.” So imagine this, you're waking up at 4 AM to make a flight and the place your staying reeks of sewage and is extremely noisy until 2 AM. Does this sound ideal? Does this sound like hospitality done well? Absolutely not. We could go on, but there is a character limit on this site which is preventing it. In short, don't go here, don't stay here, cross it off the list. They have a lot to learn about hosting and I feel terrible for whoever was getting married there the day we left.

Bel établissement de l’extérieur et un emplacement plutôt pratique pour séjourner avant un vol.

À notre arrivée nous avons eu l’impression de déranger l’équipe, une installation dans notre chambre plus que sommaire et une pression de la part de l’hôtesse d’accueil pour décider si nous devions prendre le taxi de l’hôtel alors que nos affaires n’étaient même pas encore posées au sol. Par ailleurs, la propreté laissait vraiment à désirer, les équipements étaient défaillants, des joints de salle de bain à ne surtout pas regarder…

Loved the pool and outdoor areas, a great spot to relax before a flight, very private setting with rural views. Friendly cats. Great selection of breakfast food and coffee/tea.

Food at the bistro was ok but nothing to write home about.

Eigentlich nur wegen der Nähe zum Flughafen gebucht – 10 Minuten entfernt. Und dann: so viel mehr. Erdig, gelassen, herzlich, hausgemachtes Essen – als wäre hier jeden Abend ein großes Fest. Man vergisst den Flug, die Reise, sogar das Zuhause und will einfach nur bleiben, den Moment feiern und unter dem Vollmond weiterleben. Ich würde empfehlen über den Villa Taxi zu buchen, besonders wenn man von Flughafen oder von den Hafen zum Villa fahren wollte. Die Adresse finden die Bewohner dort leichter, und für die Taxifahrer von draußen kompliziert.

Nicht als „nicht gefallen‘, aber wenn man mehr als einen Nacht dort bleiben möchte und mit den Kinder unterwegs ist, braucht man Auto.

We have been at Villa Vravrona only one night but the host was super nice. We arrived really late but the host cooked for us since everything was closed. The Villa is also really nice and the room comfortable

It was very peacful with a beautiful garden. It was also very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed staying there. The staff was very kind helpful.

Surprisingly pleasant stay near Athens airport. Our family of four appreciated all the thoughtful touches - design, pool towels, even the breakfast food being provided the evening before (since we had to leave early for our flight).

Lovely and quiet with easy access to the airport. Breakfast was simple, with great coffee. The garden had an Incredible view of the castle tower. The property was very clean, fresh towels to shower and separate towels for the pool.

The evening meal was slightly over priced for what was offered.

It was very near to the airport, which was needed after a long day travelling. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. There were complimentary items to drink and eat which were appreciated. There was a cosy bar that served food which was tasty. It was lovely and quiet, perfect to rest before heading into Athens.

Arriviamo alla struttura alle 19:00 e veniamo informati che il ristorante chiude alle 22:00. Alle 21:10 ci rechiamo sul posto, ma troviamo già tutto chiuso. Chiamiamo per chiedere spiegazioni e ci comunicano che la cucina è ormai chiusa, ci propongono peroo', con molta insistenza, di ordinare della carne da un ristorante d'asporto esterno. Successivamente controlliamo la camera: le lenzuola, gli asciugamani e il bagno sono sporchi, con macchie di escrementi, capelli e peli dei precedenti ospiti. Dopo circa 10 minuti di tentativi a vuoto per contattare la struttura, riesco a parlare con l'host, che mi dice letteralmente: "Non so cosa fare, siete avete fatto il check-in per le 20:00, siamo solo io e mia mamma anziana". Chiedo con insistenza che la camera venga pulita e che la biancheria sia cambiata, ma mi viene risposto in modo estremamente maleducato e brusco che la pulizia era già stata fatta e che "può succedere che ci sia qualche pelo". Dopo circa 40 minuti arriva una collaboratrice per cambiare lenzuola e asciugamani... inutile dire che erano nuovamente sporchi. Come ciliegina sulla torta, la proprietaria, invece di scusarsi per la pessima figura, ha pensato bene di rinfacciarmi il fatto che la signora delle pulizie fosse già tornata a casa e che fosse dovuta rientrare apposta per me. Esperienza pessima. Aggiungo anche che le proprietarie insistono molto affinché i clienti utilizzino il loro servizio taxi privato, che ha prezzi spropositati. Consiglio vivamente di usare le classiche app di ride-sharing per prenotare un passaggio: il costo è notevolmente inferiore.

Very quirky. We got there very late and left very early but what we saw was amazing. I wish we could have spent more time there. Breakfast was all set up in the room by the time we arrived which made it easy for us to leave early to catch our flight

A lovely countryside location but very close to the airport. A great stop over place. The staff were very helpful and got my room ready early as my flight was brought forward. It is very peaceful and a short cab trip to the beach which is worth the trip as the coast is really nice with cafes and restaurants. The little restaurant at the hotel is very nice too.

The bathroom finishes are basic and there were small areas that could be cleaned better but nothing too bad.

Wir waren nur 1 Nacht auf Zwischenstopp.... Das Zimmer war eigentlich ein kleines Haus mit Terrasse in den Garten. Tolle Anlage. Die Nähe zum Flughafen ist perfekt. Das angebotene Flughafentaxi beidemale pünktlich und der Fahrer sehr nett und freundlich. Wir haben im Restaurant vorort ziemlich gut gegessen, es wurde von einer sehr netten jungen Frau extra für uns gekocht. Gute Idee, denn man kommt ja zumeist vom Flughafen müde und ausgehungert und es gibt sowieso weit und breit kein Lokal....

Leider ist das Frühstück nicht besonders, wenn man vor 9:30 das Hotel verlässt, und davon wussten wir leider nichts. Es gibt dann nur das Nötigste im Kühlschrank, zur Selbstverssorung, aber das ist halt dann weit entfernt von einem guten Frühstückbuffet, das in den Bewertungen gelobt wurde. Eigentlich war dies auch der Grund der Wahl dieses Hotel, weil wir auf eine kleine Insel weitergeflogen sind und gerne ordentlich gefrühstückt hätten.....

+ great location when you have to fly early + beautiful garden and view, the fig tree looked amazing + garden restaurant with lovely food + spacious and good beds + because we had to leave early (2 AM) they provided us with everything we needed for breakfast. That was very thoughtful!

- the bathroom had a bit of a odd smell. - quite a bumpy country road getting to the B&B. Also when we left in the middle of the night be careful with the dogs protecting their places. They all come running to the street as a pack barking. We almost hit a dog if we hadn’t been so careful. So drive slow!

The host was truly wonderful. She arranged our taxis and met us at the gate upon arrival. There’s a restaurant with amazing food onsite and a nice breakfast was provided in the room. The villa is located in the beautiful countryside and close to the airport. Perfect location for our last eve before flying out the next morning!

De ligging en het comfort. De ligging vlakbij het vliegveld (ca 20 minuten, hemelsbreed ligt het veel dichterbij maar je moet om het vliegveld heenrijden) was voor ons perfect. Wij kwamen rond 7 uur aan avonds en hadden geen zin om nog 2,5 uur naar Nafplio te rijden. De volgende ochtend troffen we een heerlijk ontbijt aan in de koelkast en ook nog lekker gezwommen in het prachtige zwembad. Voordeel ook is dat je nog wat kan eten avonds als je aankomt. Je hebt dan geen zin meer om een restaurantje te zoeken. Volgende dag uitgerust naar Nafplio gereden. Perfecte comfortabele kamer.

Lovely grounds with 2 pools and countryside all around. Our room came with kitchen and food in the fridge. Restaurant on site was good since we had no car. Staff was helpful!

Although the airport was close, getting to the property took about 20 minutes by cab, and was expensive for just one night.

La scarsa pulizia: Cacca (probabilmente del gatto)a bordo della piscina, le ragnatele nel divano del Bistrò/Bar. La doccia che si allaga e l’acqua del water che fatica a scendere. La cena riscaldata, gyros e pizza surgelata, un’acqua e una bottiglia di vino a costo totale 77 euro… per una cena riscaldata e surgelata anche no! In un 4 stelle ci si aspetta qualcosa di più. Piscina trascurata e non pulita!

Sijainti keskellä maaseutua oli ihana! Tarvitsimme vain yhden yön majoituksen ja siihen ns. traileri sopi erinomaisesti. Se oli valtavan söpö! Ilmastointi toimi hyvin ja kaksi aikuista sekä lapsi mahtui nukkumaan hyvin. Lapsen huone oli sisustettu viidakkoteemaisesti ja se oli valloittava! Aamiainen oli valmiina jääkaapissa ja mikä parasta, samassa pihapiirissä oli ravintola, josta saimme erinomaisen illallisen. Saimme uida ja ottaa aurinkoa ja seuraavana aamuna taksi odotti täsmällisesti ja vei meidät lentokentälle

Apartment sehr klein, konnten Koffer nicht richtig ausbreiten Im 2. Schlafzimmer überhaupt keine Ablagemöglichkeit für das Gepäck 2. Schlafzimmer war oben und man musste Nachts über eine steile Treppe ins Bad Das Licht im Bad hat über die Bodendielen ins obere Schlafzimmer durchgeleuchtet Liegt sehr abseits, ohne Auto keine Einkaufs- oder Essensmöglichkeit Preisbeispiel in der Anlage: Aperol 12 Euro!!!

Perfect place to stay our last night in Greece! It was clean, peaceful and lovely. I wish we had more time to enjoy the pools and back yard areas in nature. Lovely staff and a picturesque place to stay.

Loved the cottage at the bottom of the property. View of the ancient tower and a shady deck to enjoy it on. Very peaceful location but good access to Athens International Airport. A much much better value than the big chain airport hotels.

Not a problem for us but the bed would be too small for a tall person. The jungle room looks cool for kids but again, very small beds.

Beautiful flowers and trees surround you. Location so close to all Athens has to offer. Secluded privacy in the countryside Maria was the absolute best host

The host Maria went above and beyond the usual expectations. The breakfast that was supplied in our room, even though we had to make it ourselves, was amazing. The on-site restaurant was lovely and the meals were delicious. The garden caravan was quaint, well decorated and very comfortable. Will highly recommend Villa Vravrona Towers to anybody travelling to Greece.

We arrive late at night. Nobody thought of putting thevheater on so it was very very cold and humid in the room. The sheets were wet. I wanted to ask for more food for the breakfast but couldn t find zny staff. Neither to check out.

Attached diner options poor, wasn’t aware it would be frozen food, expensive for what it was, left disappointed.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt bei Maria. Wir hatten den Wohnwagen und kamen in der Nacht an. Alles war beleuchtet mit Lichterketten und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war schon im Kühlschrank und wir konnten am nächsten Morgen ausschlafen und dann ganz gemütlich auf unserer Terrasse frühstücken. Maria und ihr Team ist sehr herzlich und immer erreichbar. Das Gelände ist sehr gepflegt, die beiden Pools ein absoluter Traum. Wir waren eine ganze Woche dort und können das absolut empfehlen. Man ist schnell mit dem Mietwagen oder dem Taxi, das man bequem bestellen kann in Athen oder an den nahe gelegenen Stränden und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Am letzten Abend waren wir im hauseigenen Restaurant und auch davon waren wir begeistert, es war super lecker ich habe sogar einen Campari Spritz bekommen, obwohl er nicht auf der Karte stand. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

An die bellenden Hunde in der Umgebung musste ich mich erst zwei Nächte gewöhnen, dafür kann die Unterkunft aber nichts. Und ja, man hört die Flugzeuge starten, aber nachts ist absolute Ruhe. Beide Sachen möchte nur erwähnen, aber es war für uns nicht schlimm. Meine Tochter hat das gar nicht mitbekommen, hat geschlafen wie ein Murmeltier.

This place was amazing. We only arrived late in the evening and had to leave early to take an early flight. Maria met us and helped with our luggage. Also arranged taxi to airport the next morning. There was a lovely selection of foods for breakfast available in our room. Also and this was amazing they have a tiny restaurant and we were able to get some nice food and drinks after arriving at 9pm. Would be ice to stay a bit longer here if you want to chill out and recover from jet leg. Lovely pool area

Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen (nur wenige Kilometer vom Flughafen entfernt), wenn man, wie wir, in Athen mit dem Flugzeug ankommt und an darauffolgenden Tag weiterfiegen muss. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder!

Everything was wonderful. We had a slight hiccup for pickup due to flooding but our host found a way and retrieved us personally--thank you, thank you, from the airport. She was kind, thoughtful and fun-just delightful. Breakfast and "goodie" items in the room were more than expected. She even made sure we had "dinner" to eat as the chef was unable to get to the property because of aforementioned floods/flooding. Again, thank you.

Fantastic customer service and very generous breakfast. Comfortable, close to airport, very quiet. Excellent dedicated taxi service - always on time, a great fixed fee, and picked us up at odd hours and from the city. Be sure to eat at the glasshouse on site too - fabulous home made Greek food. We stayed in the Garden Room, which would be more suited to a couple with two small children rather than three adults and a teenager, but host Maria was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. Thanks Maria!

The location is miles from anywhere. Great if you have a car. Otherwise €25 each way in a taxi.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The garden and pool are beutifull. Maria was very helpfull with food ordering and taxi arrangement. I arrive a little early, but they completed cleaning the room fast and were very flexible.

It is a little far from the airport. Booking said 1.5 mile, but it was about 20 minutes drive.

We zijn hier 1 nacht geweest voor onze terugvlucht. Het ligt een kwartiertje met de taxi vanaf de luchthaven (geboekt via de eigenaar van de villa.). Heel rustig gelegen, prachtig klein complex met 2 kleine zwembaden (nu in februari uiteraard nog te koud). leuke kleine kamer met een klein keukenblokje. Voor het ontbijt lag alles klaar. Brood kaas, ham, jam, eieren om zelf te koken/bakken. Er is ook een klein restaurantje waar je ook gewoon een wijntje kunt drinken. Prima.
