It would have been nice to have all bedrooms on suit. But that didn't take away the fun we had.

Cleaning services were not included in the cost, and came at a separate daily cost if required.

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026Beautiful location and so nice to be in fresh air. The unit we were in had everything we needed. The staff were also helpful. The check in and check our process is super easy and efficient.
Unfortunately, we got 2 dirty towels. The first night the hand towel had lipstick on it, and then 2nd day the pool towels looked as though they had been used outside in the mud and not washed again. The bed was exceptionally uncomfortable. I did bring this up and there was no response. The 2nd night I couldn't bare it, so I checked the mattress, only to see we were sleeping on the underside of a single sided mattress (they had flipped it... it was not flippable). So we flipped it over, and while we were no longer sleeping on what felt like planks, the mattress was still super uncomfortable. The kitchen and bathroom basin water gets SUPER hot very quickly which is nice, but the shower temperature is just very much luke warm, and not great in the cooler weather.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026We had a wonderful stay! The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and mountain vistas, and the house itself is so large that our group had plenty of room to spread out. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the pool is absolutely stunning. A major highlight was the spa—the treatments, sauna, steam room and hot tub were highlights of our trip. The peace and quiet here are unmatched; we left feeling rested and refreshed. Thank you to Lebo at the spa and Grace, our housekeeper, for taking such great care of us. We didn't want to leave!
We did have two suggestions for future stays: an additional set of cutlery would be a great addition to save guests from needing to wash up after every meal. Also, adding curtains to the lounge with the fireplace would really enhance the 'cosy' factor and help hold the warmth on those cold nights!

The house and cottage share the same pool, which wasn't a problem but not that clear from the booking information. General maintenance can be better - house needs a little TLC (new curtains, etc.). Gas geysers can be a bit tricky. Beds and pillows and very soft and uncomfortable.

1. We didn’t have electricity on arrival without prior notice. 2. We did not have electricity for most of the stay. 3. Candles and lights were not provided until we complained two days into our stay. 4. The staff is not well trained, communication was appalling and generally rude. 5. The house is too close to the cottage and the spa below. There is little privacy. Guests at the cottage left due to noise on our first night. Very uncomfortable for everyone. You get the sense profit is the ultimate motif of the establishment. 6. Toilet paper was provided minimally. For 8 guests! We provided our own. 7. We asked for additional sugar sachets and were rudely denied because our group had gone over our quota. 8. Guest toilet towels are not changed. 9. Staff, including male staff, walk in and out the house without notice. 10. The owner arrived in the dead of night to deliver candles and lights without alerting us. Just let themselves into the house and left. We didn’t hear from them at all during the stay.

Whether you’re solo, a couple or need a whole house for a family or friends’ trip, this place is a real spoil with a spa located at the bottom of the house. Staff were amazing and hospitable, making you feel right at home and the location was very safe, allowing you to feel completely at ease but still remote.
It would be great to include some form of catering option, maybe a chef on special request but both the house and villa are perfectly kitted to bring all your own, so it didn’t take away from our stay. We just didn’t want to leave at all!

Onder het verblijf is een spa, dat wisten we, maar het is erg gehorig. Het personeel hoor je lachen en praten en vanuit het verblijf zie je de gasten in de stoelen zitten. Er is een mini boiler met warm water dus er kan maar 1 persoon douchen met warm water. Er zijn twee houtkachels en de airco’s kunnen niet verwarmen dus het was erg koud! Alle twee ochtenden stond er personeel zonder kloppen of aankondiging in het verblijf.

The pool looked great, very clean. Even though we didn't use it because it was a bit cold that week. I would love to get into some other time. The spa facility was amazing, the lady that assist us was very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming again.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2025Vetho FarmHouse is magical . The views are beautiful, the night sky was stunning. The house has been built to catch both the sunrise and sunset. The staff were fabulous both at the house and the Spa. We walked in the forest and found the lavendar and rosemary field. We had a wonderful few days and will definitely be back.
