The complimentary toiletries were fantastic quality and they packed the two fireplaces for you, ready for you to just strike a match and light the firestarter. The Nespresso machine was brilliant and the ease of ordering more firewood via QR code was great. I loved that they have a paymeny link for housekeeping tips if you dont have cash.

The cleanliness. The aesthetics. The proximity to other activities. Everything.

I feel like more items could be added to the order list. For example, if no additional toilet paper is allocated add it to the order webpage as it is something that typically would run low.

Huge house, beautifully furnished and Well located. Loved staying here. And thanks for the complementary desert wine. Went out and bought some straightaway.

TOP locatie. Direct om de hoek is een ontbijt zaakje en een fantastisch restaurant. Beide ook van SOHO waar Tarry Stone Cottages ook onder leen van zijn.

Verwarming is niet afdoende in de Afrikaanse winter.

Firstly, I like the Friendly Host who guided us to the key collection. The Estate is well maintained and safe. The Unit was well equipped end me being a keen Chef , everything I needed was available.

What I was a bit disappointed about but didn't influence my stay in any way, was that there wasn't any trout fishing Equipment or guidance available.. The lighting in the Unit is not very bright and my suggestion would be to use at least one bright Globe in each room

From the time we arrived to the time we left, it felt like home. Exceptional fully equipped property that left you wanting to come back again and again

There was absolutely nothing I could fault.

The cottage feels like a home and has every comfort. Loved the electric blanket, the bath tub, the fireplaces, the giant TV and reliable wifi. Very stylish and cosy decoration. I especially appreciated the high quality carpets and bedding.

I didn't like that I wasn't allowed to choose "Do not disturb." A room cleaning was apparently a must, which seemed mistrusting. Also it was disappointing that the bakery and restaurant (Baker Boys and Vine) were closed the whole time I was staying at Soho House. But the cottage made up for it.

Comfortable and well-designed space. A great place to relax that is also central to town.

Établissement hors de commun : une grande bâtisse au charme anglais type cottage familial . Très bien équipé et très confortable. Au programme : feux de cheminées et lecture au coin du feu

Emplacement du village très isolé. Dullstroom est un village très mignon mais un peu loin de tout . Région peu attractive . Néanmoins Nous avions réservé cette étape pour couper la route entre le Kruger et Johannesburg et nous avons profité d’une belle soirée et matinée de détente . Le self Catering un peu impersonnel lors de l’arrivée . Pour autant la conciergerie a été très disponible lorsque il s’est agit de répondre à nos demandes ou de régler un pb à distance .

Gorgeous cottage in the heart of Dullstroom, beautifully decorated. The fireplaces were a win on a very cold weekend. Perfectly located to walk to restaurants and shops. The kitchen is very well equipped. This was our 2nd visit to Tarry Stone, we love the ducks, beautiful gardens, fairy lights and the peaceful surroundings.

The parking bays are too small for two cars.

We never got any breakfast at all , only the complementary rusks

Super central to the town, right next door to breakfast/coffee/restaurant. Love staying here and wont stay anywhere else in Dullstroom.

The one circuit where all the plugs run would trip if we used both the heaters + microwave/kettle. Not a deal breaker just required a bit of micromanagement.

The accommodation was spacious and beautifully decorated. The gardens were very well maintained and there were sweet ducks roaming the gardens. Staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the fireplaces and small heater in the bathroom. There are top quality shampoos and soaps in the bathrooms for quests to use. We enjoyed the heated blankets and warm blankets which were needed as it is cold in Dullstroom during winter. Very nice stove in the kitchen. The rusks and coffee pods were an added bonus.

The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, we found this quite inconvenient. The A frame window in the bedroom allows cold air in and made the bedroom very cold. This could be sealed better.

The Loft is very neat and Clean and all the appliances were good quality and in working order. Nice Warm Bedding and Fire place is a Bonus.

Only thing in the Loft might be the only toilet is down stairs.

Im very prone to dust allergy. It was a bit dusty for me, i was sneezing my nose off. My wife does not have the allergy so she was all right. Nothing against the property, just my observation.

Bats in the unit which is unacceptable and when we notified the property nothing was done.

We had the loft, lovely place with great facilities. Can’t recommend it enough

We spent the Easter weekend at Tarry-Stone Cottages and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how centrally located the cottage is—everything in Dullstroom is within easy reach, yet the setting still feels peaceful and private. It really offers the best of both worlds. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated with a stylish, cosy feel and a clear attention to detail. Everything is thoughtfully put together, creating a warm “home away from home” atmosphere. The facilities were excellent—fully equipped, modern, and incredibly comfortable, making our stay completely effortless. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy the weekend. Highly recommended for people looking for a stylish, secure, and conveniently located stay in Dullstroom.

Super location, ultra neat and comfy!

The location was gorgeous. Its right in the middle of the very safe and walkable town. You could walk from your room right into the restaurants and shops. The cottages are beautiful. They are private and cozy. We had a lovely braai area and were given all the supplies needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, we didnt need to buy a single thing. It was so lovely to enjoy a cup of tea outside. Likewise, the bathroom, bedroom and sitting room exceeded our expectations. Each room was furnished and decorated beautifully and thoughtfully filled with anything we may ever need. There were multiple features of the cottage that were a lovely surprise and just made the value of the experience much higher than what we paid. It was a private cottage, but we were visited by gorgeous white ducks once or twice, making it feel magical to stay there. I felt like I was in a different world. So grateful that I found and booked this hidden gem! And thank you so much to the owners for creating such a wonderful, thoughtful experience for guests.

There are no improvements that I would make. Everything exceeded my expectations.

We got electrocuted by the shower handles in the main shower (not outdoor shower) when we tried to turn it off!! That’s the only negative we had to say about the apartment

Das Cottage ist extrem geräumig. Es stehen 2 abschließbare und 1 "Kinder" Schlafzimmer zur Verfügung. Die Küche ist groß, hervorragend ausgestattet. Es gibt eine Terrasse mit Grill und Sitzgarnitur.

Das Cottage ist Teil einer Siedlung mit mehreren Wohneinheiten. Die Parkplätze liegen auf der Straße und sind zwar überdacht allerdings nicht hoch genug für ein Dachzelt.

Everything about the place is amazing, well equipped, lovely and friendly staff. The place is close to restaurants, pubs and art galleries. It is elegant, really a home away from home. Loved the TV screen, big bath tub and the comfortable bed. Please put more rails in the shower to have bath towels and some small storage to put cosmetics, especially for people who would be staying for a couple of days.

There is no balcony or small veranda to sit outside for coffee and get fresh air. The privacy is not that great because if you open the door people working at the restaurants using the back door can see inside, because there is a lot of movement.

The decor was beautiful

It had been unclear when we booked that the living area and tv were upstairs. I had my elderly parents with me and the stairs were difficult to navigate.

The bed was advertised as a King size bed, however the bed looked more like a double bed. This made for an uncomfortable experience. We will certainly ask for clarity when we book again.

The unit was lovely, beautifully decorated and clean. The property is well kept and our stay was relaxing and quiet. We will definitely return. Dinner at The Vine was delicious and I had the best French toast ever at the Baker boys.

Very beautiful place, you can tell the owners have really taken time to curate the look and make it homely but still have that exclusive look.

Beautiful place and setting. Perfect for us travelling with family. It had everything we needed. Only thing is we wish we stayed longer!! The staff were amazing the contact you have prior to arrival is amazing they can not do enough to help.

It was just an amazing place. Everything was comfortable and clean.

Because it was close to the main road, the trucks passing was a bit noisy at times.

We loved the location as well as the cottage itself. It was well decorated and covered all our needs for food prep and drinks.

The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable to sleep on. However the other two beds , upstairs as well as the bedroom between the rooms were very hard. It was like sleeping on wood/ the floor.

I stayed in the Autumn Leaf unit, and I honestly can’t fault a single thing. The attention to detail is outstanding — they have thought of everything. The unit is peaceful and incredibly comfortable, with a genuine “home away from home” feeling. The fireplaces in each room are a massive highlight, especially for cozy evenings, and the braai area is absolutely amazing — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the property is easy to access, very safe, and beautifully maintained. If you’re looking for a tranquil, well-designed getaway where comfort and thoughtfulness are clearly a priority, this place is an absolute gem.
