Deco Villa

Simply gorgeous. One of the best places in NZ I've stayed! Immaculate gardens and home.

Charming villa ideally located to access some of the best vineyards in the region; also handy to Te Mata Peak. Havelock centre with many great restaurants and shops is five minutes away by car or an easy walk. The villa is nicely decorated as pictured but is even nicer in reality. The crisp fresh linen and comfy big beds, large living and dining areas make it ideal for a larger group. The property also benefits from a lovely garden and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy, including bbq and dining areas. The host was really lovely, communicated very well and went out of her way to ensure our needs were exceeded!

Could have done with another bathroom for size of the property. While there is aircon in the hallway some of the rooms were very hot in summer temperatures

The outdoor furniture needs cushions or sealing. We all got a reaction to it wearing shorts. Scratchy/pins and needles. Like fibre glass itch. Just worth noting as everything else was great.

Property was very clean and had great amenity. Would 100% recommend if your are planning a trip to Hawke’s Bay. Karin was an amazing host super helpful with recommendations and made us feel very welcome.

Very comfortable with nice furnishings & lovely crisp linen. Lovely gardens & nice & private & quiet. Short drive to Havelock Village. Great choice of herbal teas.

Being an older home, requires quite a lot of time to heat especially on a frosty night. Good heat pump in the hall with a burner in the lounge but no wood. Oil heaters in the bedrooms would help on cold nights or electric blankets for the beds.

Everything was lovely and very comfortable. The home has been very well maintained over the years with the period touches!

The interior was excellent, well kept neat and tidy . Self contained so was no hassle to look for things

The place was an exceptional location and well maintained. With numerous outdoor seating areas available to sit in various locations of the property to enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Highly recommend as it provides a "home away from home" feel. Will definitely go back if in Hawkes Bay.

Lovely property, great value and excellent service from the friendly owner.

Location was great for our requirements and the home and garden were a beautiful space to relax in. Host was warm, accommodating and quick to respond to messages. Really appreciated one price for use of house rather than per person. House felt like a home...lovely furnishings, bedding and linens. Everything was very well thought out for the needs of guests and we loved the thoughtful touches like the bag of ice, coffee pods etc.

The house is super comfortable, large enough to accommodate three couples for a long weekend, has everything you need and is an easy walk to town.

Beautiful garden. Great communication. Very clean and comfortable and catered to all our needs. We came to HB for a funeral and it was amazing to have a little sanctuary amongst the sadness. Thank you 🙏

Fantastic house, done up very nice, extremely roomy and warm. Beds were great, nice big lounge for everybody to hang out in.

A bit cold on arrival but soon warmed up with a heater in the lounge. Heat pump had been turned on in advance and there is a heater in the bathroom so good heating options.

We thought the property was lovely and clean and the kitchen was superbly equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the large king was great. Plenty of parking and heaps of room to turn around.

Host was lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very accommodating when organizing check in time. I had a slight issue with my booking (my own fault) and the host helped me to sort it out very quickly. Over all the property was exactly as it looked in pictures and very comfortable and convenient.

This place was extremely Clean, and had everything we needed for cooking. Plenty of plates bowls etc. Tea and coffee pods provided. It is a well maintained property.

We were greeted warmly. We adored the art deco touches around the property. It was full of character but renovated well with modern bathroom and everything you could need was provided.

The house was just beautiful. Well appointed. The gardens are well kept safe and provided a magical place for our children to play in.

Really nice 3 bedroom cottage. Well decorated throughout. Comfy and with everything you need for a stay with family and/or friends. 5mins from a great little town centre. Full bathroom plus extra toilet so good for multiple guests and no queuing ;-)

Towels, beds, furniture, sofas, and curtains are full of cockroaches. I sent a photo to the landlord and asked for a refund but was accused of lying. This is an unscrupulous businessman! If you want to spot more cockroaches, please enjoy after 11:00 pm, you will not be disappointed！！！ The cockroaches in the photo are only a small part, there are many, many, many killed by me

As we drove down the street, we all said "wow, what a gorgeous street'. When we got to the home, the space and the gardens, we said "we're moving in!" Absolutely, loved this home and there was so much space for the kids to run around outside. Our only regret was that our stay was so short. After dinner in town, it was only $8 in an uber home.

Everything was good - no complaints

The property was wonderful. We met Karin when we arrived, which was wonderful. The place was lovely, clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. There was a lovely garden and plenty of parking. We loved the character of the property.

The house was fully stocked with tea and coffee and breakfast necessities. Immaculately clean and tidy, exceptionally comfortable and a great location. Beautiful grounds and plenty of parking for our two vehicles. Very easy access for our 90 year old mother with flat drive and entrance area. Big spacious bedrooms, great bathroom and copious different wine and beverage glasses.

A few minor problems sorting out the heat pump but nothing else. The house perfectly suited our needs.
