La maison est conforme aux photos. La maison et sa décoration participent au dépaysement.
It was clean , everything there we needed , the people were very friendly ,
its was a bit hard to find at first as we got used to it it was fine
We agree with all the positive reviews that others have written. The only thing left to say is that we were a little bit sad when we were leaving.
Die Einzigartigkeit...von außen und innen... liebevoll zusammen getragen...
Great location on the fringe of Wexford. This was great for us, researching local family history, and ideally located for an early morning return home via Rosslare. The house was adorable; we felt that we were in a loved home styled with flair.
Authenticity
Beautiful unique house, amazing decor. Very clean. Lovely host.
Difficult to park (entrance very narrow.) Thankfully, Betty allowed me to park outside her gate, so problem solved.
The character of the home
The Dolls house was so unique. It was so homely and quaint . We loved it and would definitely recommend
Had difficulty opening key box but help came almost immediately
Beautiful and cozy
Loved the building, its history and design. Completely unique. Particularly lovely sitting room and bathroom.
We had a lovely comfortable stay. It was so clean and had everything we needed. Thank you.
The location was brilliant . The house was very nicely decorated . Very comfortable beds. Very peaceful.
It was perfect
Outstanding accommodations real treat we definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something special
Nothing negative to say
Great location for exploring Wexford area, spacious, well appointed kitchen. A little bit of a funky place, inside and out but a good stay, the pictures are pretty accurate.
The bed was not particularly comfortable. Entrance gate was a bit narrow for maneuvering a car in and out.
We loved our stay here. The house is incredible. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. There is so much to look at, so much history, and all inside the quirky exterior. Fully equipped with everything you could need. Highly recommend.
Exceptional place to stay.Every corner of the interior had a little surprise for an eye.We couldn’t recommend more.
Absolutely loved The Dolls House. Highly recommend it.
Nothing
This little house is an absolute gem, much bigger than you’d expect on the inside and the decor is just fabulous, little curiosities everywhere you look! Just a five minute drive outside Wexford town and 2 minutes from Johnstown Castle (recommend the tour) it was a perfect location to explore the area and go to Waterford also. The beds were super comfortable, all amenities you need and we breakfasted in a nearby village called Killinick in a gorgeous farmshop cafe Karrow which we’d also recommend. We had the loveliest stay, definitely one for the memory book!
Nothing loved it all
The decor
It’s a lovely property but I would recommend you buy a new Triton T90 - impossible to regulate the temperature on the current one. It’s a small investment but essential for guests.
Location is good for visiting Johnstown castle and Rosslaire Beach
The property felt like our own for the 4 days. The most beautifully odd house you will ever encounter with hidden rooms steeped in history. Incredibly warm and inviting and Betty had left a very generous birthday gift and message for my partner. We were lucky to meet the host on our arrival as she was making sure the lights and heating were on for us. Beautiful touch.
There was very little not to like. A tad awkward getting in and out of the driveway but this was already called out on the description so no complaints. And limited television channels but again, no complaints, as this is a property to read a book, play board games etc. It was magical!
It’s a gorgeous cottage! Like the old curiosity shop. Love the internal decoration and the location was great for exploring Wexford.
Furniture wasn’t very comfortable and you can’t really sit 4 of you to watch the tv.
Experience of such a unique property
Nothing!
Everything it’s so unusual from outside and so surreal. It also has everything you need inside.
Nothing
A super property, modernised but without losing any of its character, equipped with everything you could need and really well located to explore the Southeast. Excellent and helpful hosts with a seamless check-in and checkout experience.
Nothing!
Cutest place we've stayed in Ireland. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need.
Quirky comfortable stay
We loved the style and decor done to a fab standard and clean and tidy
The house is even nicer than the photos, with plenty of space and very cozy and comfortable. I slept in the cute "attic" room and had really peaceful nights. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, etc. if you want to cook, and there's some really nice restaurants in Wexford Town. There's loads of sights within reach of the house (walking from the Quay to the Wildfowl Reserve is really lovely), but the house is also really nice for just lazing around relaxing. I had to work quite a bit during the week, and the wifi worked really well, even for an online meeting. The hosts are really lovely. I'll definitely return :)
It's not a dislike, but just for non-drivers to be aware that the nearest shop (Piercetown Londis) is 25 minutes walk away on roads that aren't terribly pedestrian-friendly (although it has a good selection of groceries), so plan ahead if you don't fancy that. Also, the Kilmore Quay bus does not reliably come into the Johnstown Castle grounds, so catch it in Piercetown if needed.
This house has been on my wishlist for a very long time. I contrived a visit to Wexford just to have the opportunity to stay here. Beautiful and quirky. Feeing like an Alice in a Wexford Wonderland. A surreal experience A treat for the senses and imagination. I'll definitely return. Thank you.
There are not enough words to describe this fascinating, incredible house. Very comfortable, with curiosities in every nook and cranny. You are able to sleep in a turret like a fairy princess with all the comforts of modern living. House is spotlessly clean. Garden lovely and location Beautiful. It would be very hard to find a more memorable place to stay.
Quirky house, fab decor, endlessly entertaining artefacts.
Limited kitchen equipment, poor shower, not enough seating in lounge area.
beautiful place
Great location, situated no more than ten minutes from Wexford Town. Five minutes away from Johnstone castle and gardens if you fancy a nice walk. Great quirky property that has been excellently styled and is well worth the trip.
Radiator in bedroom was a little bit noisy but only a minor issue.
The Dolls House is a gem, so comfortable, warm, peaceful, clean, etc. Need I go on!!! It way exceeded any thoughts we had a photo do not do it justice. A perfect place for a night away or ideally more, very much home from home with everything you could want.
Everything was fantastic. Perhaps a DVD with a selection of DVD's as there are not that many channels but that is only my wish however it did certainly not take from the experience.
The house was gorgeous. The decor is so tastefully done. Its small but very comfortable. The location is great as its not far from some many great places in Wexford. It's got everything you need and very clean.
We loved our weekend stay in October this year. The house was quirky, warm, cosy, and very interesting.
The second bedroom is very small (with, however, a very comfortable bed), and you needed to use the space downstairs as your dressing room. But we managed it well.
This a magnificent house with a fabulous decoration. The owners are very nice. The house is well equipped for a family of 3. very quiet and the view of Wexford is very beautiful.
Lovely house. Great value. Everything you need is in it. Beautifully clean
The house is so unique every room has something special.
Location, uniqueness of property & amenities
Just very very charming although we we’re lucky weather made it even better the four days we stayed except the last day.
The quirkiness and bathroom nice kitchen nice beds very comfortable and very good facilities even bbq facilities..
A unique experience. The dolls house is very quirky and eclectic, has a lovely garden and everything you need to hand. A beautiful home to stay in for a few days.
This house has great character and is definitely unique. Lots of lovely antique pieces, photos, books etc. Great facilities - washing machine, dishwasher. If we were to stay longer, we definitely would have gotten use out of those. So, if you want to stay for a week or more, it has all you need! The beds were also really comfortable. The sun was shining and we were able to sit outside and lounge and enjoy the property. Great location - you definitely need a car but Wexford town isn't far.
quirky, interesting & comfortable. lots of fascinating things to look at with all possible home comforts. beautifully decorated.
having to go downstairs to the toilet from second bedroom
Everything but mostly the decor and cosiness
Nothing
There is only one thing you can say about The Doll's House, 'It's 'EXCEPTIONAL'. A beautiful stay in a beautiful house.
Literally everything. It was like the host stepped into our imaginations and created our dream home ❤️
nothing, it was as close to perfect as could be
Absolutely gorgeous property and such a unique stay. The house is filled with so much character and charm. You could spend hours just looking at all of the decor. Very cosy and a fantastic location. We will definitely be back.
The Dolls House is quirky and olde world and I really enjoyed exploring it and finding more little rooms with lots of trinkets.I have a Victorian dolls house and I felt like I was living in it for 3 days but with modern touches like central heating and a nice big kitchen. The bed linen was lovely and the house was spotless. It was lovely to listen to the birds singing in the morning. It is just a short drive into Wexford and there are plenty of supermarkets within driving distance.I really enjoyed the experience.
As mentioned by others , the gates into the dolls house are a bit tight and not lit at night but we just parked outside near the entrance gates to the Manor and there is a side gate into the house.
Absolutely stunning house and location. All rooms so cosy and we had everything we could need in terms of facilities
Tight parking but that's the only slight negative
Quirky and delightful! The property was beautifully done up, very stylish in a quirky eclectic and elegant way.
We had some issues with the toilet but the owners were on it straight away! these things happen, especially over Christmas!
It is a beautiful structure, very comfortable and with an interior design totally appropriate to it's age. There are lots of nice touches throughout, warm, a fine bathroom, a well stocked kitchen and extras like an electric blanket. The room in the upper floor would thrill a young person with three porthole windows! Lovely gardens. Park using the gate to the right of the main entrance for more room. Owner attended to a small plumbing issue so fast and well, a really excellent service. It was a real treat to stay.
Nothing. Perhaps put the instruction leaflet on the main kitchen table, as I missed it on the corner table?
unique and interesting
The whole house is delightful.
The accommodation was so clean, quirky and homely.
Nothing
The property is unique and full of character, the location is great for exploring that part of Wexford.
Nothing that I can think of.
Everything was fantastic! From outside, to inside, it’s such a fun and lovely house. The house is very comfortable, looks wonderful and is close to everywhere we needed to go. We would definitely stay here again
Nothing. There were a couple of things that would have been handy in the kitchen (baking trays/dishes and a potato masher) but such small things, they made no impact on the stay.
fascinating building. a lot of little trinkets that made the house very interesting and unique. love the style and credit to Betty for making it a very special house not seen anywhere else! kitchen was fully equipped. beds were comfortable.
the shower needs to be modernised.
