Mansi was amazing, she showed me around, made my short stay in wayanad memorable.
I liked the Hosts, very simple, friendly, and guided properly. Everything is nearby. I always recommend choosing to stay here.
Off season crowd didn't go well, will try to again.
Location and staff
I loved everything
Stay and atmosphere, friendly staff
Great place to stay. The atmosphere was so calming. Felt right at home. The host was very accommodating and friendly. My only regret is that I couldn't spent more time here.
Great place, quite remote and very peaceful. If you wanna have some rest and explore Wayanad district this a nice hostel to stay. Nice host and tasty food. I definitely recommend it
Property has its own vibe very isolated in a village.
Hot water is not available. At least not sure whom to ask.
One of the best stays I’ve ever had! Stayed for 3 nights at Crossroads Backpackers Hostel in Wayanad, and it was an extraordinary experience. Mansi, the manager, was amazing – super welcoming and took care of every little detail with warmth and professionalism. Chef Ram cooked us delicious, homely food that truly felt like comfort on a plate. The ambience, cleanliness, and overall vibe of the place were top-notch. As a solo traveler from Mysore, I felt completely at home. And special mention to Trance, the hostel dog – so friendly and adorable! Easily the best hostel in Wayanad in my opinion. Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect 💯
Great for nature lovers, staffs were very helpful

Stay is so comfortable guys, I usually not write reviews, but this stay was one of the fav and comfortable stay I had. Hospitality was top notch, staff behavior was so good. They are so helpful and friendly. And +100 for trance (a dog) so friendly and perfect for therapy.
I liked everything, just one suggestion to increase washrooms or make separate washroom and bathroom.
- The staff, the food, the place and The vibe. Everything was right on point. They have all the basic necessities like fans, TV, WiFi, Games, books, etc. The common area was very spacious and outstanding. The property is surrounded by gardens and huge trees. Perfect Kerala atmosphere I could say.
Nothing as such
The location was nice, the staff was also really helpful!
Noisy music after 12 p.m., also the beds were quite hard and in the 4 person room light would get in from outside when the sun came up. There were also almost no other travelers at the moment I was there
Mansi was very helpful. It was nice interacting with her.

Sundar chettan is very friendly and helpful. The place is very peaceful, surrounded by lush green and peacocks. I recommend for the solo bike travellers.
Very good place! The landscape around the village is nice and can be explored walking and the hosts are very friendly. You should also try the dinner they offer.
Crossroads 1957 Hostel in Wayanad is a cozy, beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery and easy to reach. The beds here are incredibly comfortable, after two nights of bad sleep at The Hosteller due to uncomfortable beds.I finally had a great night's sleep. Sundar’s delicious food is a must-try, and Gayatri, a friendly volunteer, and helped me to spot some wild life near to Sultan Batheri. The views are stunning, perfect for a peaceful getaway or exploring the area...
Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike.
In the middle of nature, very relaxing. The chef there is doing a great job, really good food for not much money. They uprgraded me to a room for myself.
When I was there there were absolutely no guests. No hostel vibe at all, nobody seemed to care about the place as well managers would come and go. Honestly I could have just left and nobody would have noticed. Thin mattresses and the rooms are zero comfortable. There are buses going to the main town but the hostel itself is in an extremely remote location if you’re not having your own transport you’re stuck.
Amazing location, very nice staff. Perfect place for nature lover and gateways
I went to Crossroads wayanad two times and I really want to visit again for a week or more. When I first came to this property with my friends during the road trip across Kerala, I wasn't able to spend quality time with myself. So I decided that I'll visit again and this time solo and I did. I came to this property within one year and also SOLO. Unfortunately, this time as well I wasn't able to even spend more than 2 days since I had to return. But it was worth it. The one thing I love about this hostel is its location and the vibe this place has. The hosts Aflah and Mansi were so helpful during my stay and they took care of all the necessary things. How can I forget our chef MR. Sundar. He's so friendly and I had a good time having some meaningful conversations with him. Trance(cute Dog) was my companion during my stay since I was all alone during the stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who's visiting Wayanad💯💯.
Nothing, Everything was just perfect
Nice kitchen.
Overall, it's good.
The property was serene
The atmosphere is amazing, beauty of the location. I love the staff manu
The water is so mud. Incharge staff is not good. No peace at night
The property, the peace, the location, and the people.
There's nothing I didn't like.
It was nice stay with good food, good people and good nature around.
Nothing much.
The property was very clean and the hosts were friendly making the stay more fun... Not to mention the meal that we had was fulfilling enough to gave a sound sleep in the woods
Such a peaceful part of India. Nice big dorm room. Couple of fans. Location is nice and quiet. The meals prepared but the chef were amazing for the price! Highly recommend
More fans could have been good in the dorm.

Crossroads is one of the best places I've stayed in. I came and it felt like home and I extended my stay for 10 days. The property is beautiful, converted from an old house, beautiful furniture & art with fruits trees and fields all around. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings and easy to reach by public transport too. The best part about it is the wonderful people running it, Aflu, Manu, Gayatri, Sundar, which made crossroads feel like home. Sundar makes a variety of amazing and food ( eat his bread omlette)and Trance is the loveliest dog you'll meet! I had my 'summer vacation' chilling on the hammock, walking around in the village, playing games and eating, soaking in the serenity and I loved it! Manu also took me for a run and it was fun to run through the open fields with the sun setting. But if you'd like to go around, there are plenty of spots around and the hosts will help you with it. WiFi is great. Budget friendly stay and food too and serves both long and short term travellers. Varadoor is not commercialized so it was good to see an authentic glimpse of Kerala's village life.If you are a nature lover, crossroads is hard to beat!
Nothing at all
Amazing vibe! They have the most gracious hosts and an amazing cook! Trance is a beautiful dog who will protect you as long as you stay there. Lovely place to have a quiet and peaceful trip. Made my journey extremely comfortable and fun! They also have another branch in Mysore which I'm sure is as amazing. Would rate it 10/10 and will definitely go again. Highly recommended!
It's a nice peacefull place.
Washrooms could be more clean.
Has an old time charm, the hosts were very friendly, Manu even dropped me off to the bus station. The dinner was also very delicious.
The location is slightly difficult to reach
1. Sundar's cooking 2. Manu and Mansi's hospitality 3. The ambience 4. Trance 5. The room and facilities 6. The carrom board 7. Swing 8. The tree house 9. Wi-Fi
If u prompt me to say something negative about thos property, I would say,:"The library could have bit more collection of books" 💁♀️
Best hospitality. Best people.
Clean, comfortable, great get- away- from- everything location. The best staff! Meals on-site were delicious, too, and there's a hammock and a dog. It's not a vibing backpacker hostel, but I really enjoyed my stay here
1. Great Hosts. Abhishek really helped me a lot in terms of where and how to go to various places. Also, thanks for those conversations where we talked, fought, learnt and bonded. 2. Awesome food. Kerala is famous for its food, and I didn't have to go anywhere to search for local flavours. Everyday, Sundar used to prepare those delectable meals for everyone. Honestly I was skeptical about the taste initially, but just one bite changed my mind. Also, the pricing is very very reasonable. 3. Center of I think it is quite equidistant from all waynaad attractions, so yeah perfect for your waynaad sightseeing trip. 4. Peaceful environment. Most of the waynaad is peaceful, and Crossroads did complete justice to it. Surrounded by greenery (trees, shrubs and farms). Very few houses nearby, so not much external noise. You can just sit and enjoy the solitude, especially mornings are so calming. 5. Lot of open spaces. Unlike most hostel, where they try to fit a lot of rooms to accommodate more people, here there are more open spaces. You can bask in the sunlight, even enjoy the rains. Common area is shaded though. So, whatever your poison, you are bound to enjoy here. 6. They have hot water and a washing machine available too, so that problem is sorted too.
1. The location was a bit tricky to reach initially. The host will guide you, just follow their instructions. Also better to have your own vehicle. 2. Walls are thin I guess, I could overhear music and talk from the adjacent room. 3. The room was somewhat small, but it was shown similar in pic I guess, I realised this later. 4. The storage/cupboard was not there in the room.
I had the perfect stay at crossroads, amazing vibe and the setting was perfect. Can easily hire a bike if u want to explore Wayanad or sit back a relax, really felt like i was home. I could of easily stayed for weeks even after extending my stay. Hospitality was so nice and the food served by the chef was amazing with huge portions and with little cost. Oh and theres a dog that will follow u around if u feed him biscuits 😃 see u soon guys!
The owner was super accommodative and even made dinner for our group (4 people). The location was unbelievably beautiful, had parking and was comfortable.
The bathroom facilities can be improved especially during rains
We were doing a road trip around the south with 10 people. We were fortunate enough to find the best stay in Wayanad through Booking. We liked the hospitality of the host Afla. Who took care of us like their own people. The stay was so peaceful as we were craving for. It was clean, fresh and so mesmerizing. We happened to meet a few bagpackers as well. It was such a heartful experience to meet new people and discuss each other's experiences. Overall, I would suggest anyone who is planning to wayanad should give it a try to Crossroads Hostel.
Crossroads Hostel 1957 was such a welcoming place to arrive at. Aflah really took care of me on arrival as I was exhausted from a long journey from Kochi and Kozhikode. My room was upgraded and Sundar promptly made me a delicious lunch. In fact Sundar was a master in the kitchen, and all meals are prepared for guests. It is a very chill place to visit, grab a bike or pick a book to read enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Oh and Trance the dog will adopt you immediately, he is so gorgeous.
Loved the place
Excellent Management, food is great. Property is great
Hot water in all washrooms
Room service, food provides, room location are super night atmosphere is very super we r really enjoyed it
Nothing to say
Great hostel! The balance between a social hostel and relaxing stay happens right here. The owner is a legend and super helpful. The hostel also cooks breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a very fair price. Enjoyed my stay very much and would highly recommend!!
Staff were friendly, good food. Decent and affordable
Good for those who loves to party
The vibe of the hostel was very homely and they made us feel pretty comfortable. The property is an an old house turned into a hostel, so it has all the charm to it! The hosts were also friendly and helpful!
The place is good and not much disturbance from the surrondings even though your surrounded with lot of trees and lake opposite to the Hostel. You'll feel the hotel vibe there, good place for a few nights.
They should add heater in all bathrooms and should provide locker facility.
Location is serene and beautiful, away from all noises. Manu is super friendly and helpful host. Place is well maintained with big open common space, clean toilets and kitchen. Thank you for all !
The atmosphere is so good very peaceful place must visit loved it !...
