Reviewed May 25, 2026La meilleure des auberges. Merci à Andres, Mauricio et sa maman, qui ont été merveilleux avec nous. Ce sont les meilleurs hôtes que j’ai eus au Chili : gentils, serviables et bienveillants. Ils nous ont aidés à préparer notre itinéraire pour La Serena et ses alentours. Le dernier jour, nous avons même pu laisser nos sacs à l’auberge jusqu’à tard le soir afin de profiter tranquillement et paisiblement de notre dernière journée. Nous avons eu l’impression de faire partie de leur famille le temps de quelques jours. Merci infiniment, c’était parfait ! Au plaisir de se revoir peut-être un jour…

Reviewed May 24, 2026Staying here was just lovely. Mauricio, Andrew and Maria were wonderful hosts who provided so much information. The room was great, the courtyard lovely and the location great too!
I can only give 9 stars because they currently require cash payment. Which cost us foreigners significant fees at the nearest ATM. They said they are getting a machine soon, so that would make this place a 10.

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026Maria ist einfach großartig und sorgt sich wie eine Großmutter um einen. Bei allen Problemen und Fragen wurde uns sofort geholfen.
Die Klospülung war bei uns etwas problematisch und es gab für kurze Zeit kein warmes Wasser.

Reviewed Aug 1, 2025The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house and the place was very cosy and comfortable. We got lots of advice from the staff about the area and good places to see / eat / things to do. It felt like there was a nice community. The bedroom had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The location is also fantastic. Only about 5 minutes away from the bus terminal and a large supermarket. It's also very easy to walk to the beach (~25min walk) where the sunsets are stunning.
There's not much i didn't like about this place. The only improvement would be if the bin in our bathroom could be emptied at least once during our stay since we were there for 3 nights.

Reviewed May 2, 2024The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave us so much information about the area. The hostel had a very homely feel which we really enjoyed. The location was also perfect- next to the bus stop and a short walk into town. Bed was also very comfortable and cosy. 100% would recommend.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2024The staff was great! Helping with any needs, had suggestions where to rent a bike cheap and the hostel is close to the city centre. And they had great stuff in their kitchen for free use (cofee, oats, cuttlery, etc). Gracias a uds por su buenissima atención 🤗
Maybe one more shelf to store some clothes in the double bedded rooms would be great
