A wonderful couple who you can tell are really heart centred in their project and vision for this hostel. I had experienced something stressful in my day and Anna was so kind to me , helped me translate a police report , and gave me some guidance that changed the trajectory of my Camino. Lovely family dinner and great place to connect with pilgrims. Thank you both

When one starts to consider the caminho, one should book to stay at the Alvorada Medievial before crossing into Spain. The pilgrim dinner prepared by Pedro and hosted by Ana should be enough, but the facilities (including pool, laundry and bar) are amazing, clean and well maintained.

It is just a wholesome experience staying at Anna’s place on my Caminho. I can’t recommend it enough, and don’t miss out the joint dinner with Anna and other pilgrims. Just good conversation flowing around with good food and drink cooked by Pedro. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of the Way:)

Hostel na trase do Santiaga. Spali jsme na pokoji pro 4 osoby, na válendách. Nebylo tam moc soukromí. Součástí ubytování je bazén. Mihli jsme si dokoupit společnou večeři, což byla zajímavá zkušenost. Snídaně v ceně. Sociální zařízení celkem dobré

This was the most amazing stay on my Camino. Hanna and Pedro are the most kind, generous and inspirational hosts. I had a crisis and they handled it with grace and understanding, keeping me calm. advertised air conditioning, came from a 33 degree heatwave expecting and had paid for AC. it was boiling hot all night even with curtains open. it would have been fine if it was advertised, i just wouldn’t have paid to stay at this hostel but it was just advertised everywhere there was ac that there so clearly wasn’t. staff was also not very friendly, gave me weird looks. overall it was mainly the heat and cost for what was received

Amazing stay in the Camino! A dip in the pool was very welcomed after walking in the heat. Decisions and heart home cooked meal, lovely and personable hospitality by Ana and her family. Very social. Couldn’t recommend this accomodation enough

Bathroom wasn’t the best but did the job

We were greeted in such a lovely way by the host and hostess, made to feel very welcome. We stayed overnight on the Camino and we had a lovely big room with a comfortable bed and great shower. We didn’t take advantage of the pilgrim meal on offer as we found a nice little bar in town, but the breakfast next morning was wonderful, a great way to start off a days walking.

Recepção calorosa de Anna e Pedro. Anna é profunda conhecedora do Caminho. Ela dá dicas e explica informações importantes para todos os peregrinos. O jantar do peregrino feito pelo Pedro é maravilhoso e eles incentivam que todos se sentem na mesma mesa e compartilhem de um momento fraterno com as diversas nacionalidades e etnias. Um exemplo de civilidade e amor ao próximo.

Natürlich der Pool, aber auch das tolle Pilgermenü das von Anna und Petro sehr liebevoll zubereitet wurde und der leckere Sangria . Dann am Morgen das tolle Frühstück

Wat een ontzettend warme hostel, een verademing. Pedro & Anne verwelkomen je met hart en ziel, het zwembad is geweldig, erg gezellige tuin om tot rust te komen. Het family dinner en ontbijt zijn een absolute aanrader.

De bedden staan erg kort bij elkaar met weinig opbergruimte, dus als er een snurker tussenligt slaap je slecht (ja, ook mét oordopjes...)

Great location right on the Camino with friendly welcoming hosts, nice rooms, great pool, delicious pilgrim community dinner and breakfast. We had a double room and it was both comfortable and spacious.

Eigentlich ganz nette Unterkunft, schöner Pool. Zu bemängeln Schimmel im Badezimmer und komische Herbergen Besitzer. Die Herbergen Mutter ist ganz nett aber der Herbergen Vater komisch. Das Pilgeressen wird vom Herbergen Vater Oberkörperfrei zubereitet. Leider nicht so Hygienisch.

Exceptional albergue! I loved everything about it. The hosts, Ana and Pedro are wonderful. The communal dinner excellent and fun, bringing all the guests together, whether Camino pilgrim or tourist. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. This place checks all the boxes.

Wirklich tolle, herzliche Herberge mit einem Pilgermenü am Abend, um sich untereinander ein bisschen kennen zu lernen. War schon das zweite Mal hier. Bin begeistert! Darüber hinaus Baumwollbettwäsche und Einlagen zum zudecken.

Albergue přímo na camino portugues. Měli jsme dvoulůžkový pokoj s koupelnou. Pokoj byl prostorný a čistý. Na zahradě je malý bazén. Milý hostitelé. Možnost společné komunitní večeře.

Мухи! Навіть в номерах. І знаєте, в цьому хостелі за 30 євро за ніч я згадала Хостел в Матозінтюші , в якому в нас був теж включений Сніданок. І його не треба було чекати до 7.30(бо ми виходимо в хостелів о 6 ранку, і це майже 8 км з 23 за день). Сніданок, якого я не бачила ще ні де-дорогмй гарний хліб, порціонний балик, який зручно нести по одному, яйця, фрукти, сир, сік. Так, це гарний приклад для інших хостелів, які хочуть поспілкуватися про Пілігрімів.

Прекрасне місце. Смачна вечеря та сніданок. Чудові власники. Басейн, чисто та спокійно

O facto de o pequeno almoço apenas ser servido após as 7h30. Para quem quer começar a fazer o camiño mais cedo, só o consegue se abdicar do pequeno almoço incluído.

Diese Herberge hat mir sehr gut gefallen, die Betreiber unglaublich nett. Das gemeinsame Abendessen war gemütlich und lecker 😋

Ont a surtout apprécié la gentillesse et l’accueil des personnes qui tiennent l’auberge. La rencontre avec les personnes autour du repas était vraiment chouette.

Fomos super bem recebidos, embora não fôssemos peregrinos e o espaço esteja mais vocacionado para os mesmos a estadia foi super tranquila, os anfitriões realmente gostam de receber bem as pessoas.

Absolutely the BEST Albergue experience ever. I was walking with a friend who had a booking in another place a bit further down the road, whom the kindest hosts not only invited in for a break, but even to spend a good while chilling in the amazing pool in the backyard. You can really tell you're with a host who cares, about the pilgrims, about the Camino, and about the community. Facilities were top notch too, absolutely nothing to put a finger on. They also have a bar where you can buy drinks at a good price, and they serve amazing and fulfilling dinner at a super fair price. I'd rarely recommend going out of your way to try and spend a night on a Camino in any specific place, but if anywhere, this'd be the one.

This was one of the nicest hostels on my whole Camino. It is a really nice and familar atmosphere there. The family who runs the hostel is really lovely and you can just see they love what they do. Anna is a really heartwarming person and had nice and encouraging words for everyone. We all had a great pilgrims menue together with a heartwarming speech. The accomodation was also really clean and has a nice pool. I would come back any time. Thanks a lot again to Anna for lovely her words.

Sem dúvida a simpatia e hospitalidade dos anfitriões, limpeza e localização.

Se trata de una habitación tipo bungalow pero prefabricado, la verdad que bastante grande, con dos armarios, un pequeño sofá y el baño. Todo muy limpio y los huéspedes muy muy amables. Pudimos estar con nuestra perra muy tranquilos,, la lástima que no llegamos a probar la piscina, nos faltó tiempo. Pero es un sitio de 10.

Estábamos haciendo el camino portugués central y paea llegar hasta el albergue no había servicio de autobuses. Hicimos varios intentos de ir andando por carretera pero era muy peligroso. Llamamos al albergue y Pedro ( el dueño) enseguida nos vino a buscar. Son personas muy amables y el espacio es muy acogedor

Estaba lleno y no pudimos alquilar un apartamento privado por eso tuvimos que dormir en literas. Pero no fue un problema, solo que necesitábamos descansar bien y a veces en los cuartos comunes hay ruidos.

The owners Anna and Pablo are great hosts and make you feel welcomed. I took a rest day here from my Camino on my birthday and they treated me like family and showered me with love

Breakfast was nice. Simple, but nice. Pool was lovely.

Dinner was a bit on the pricey side for a pilgrim that doesn't eat much. I wish they would have my travel partner and I share a meal. Bunks could use a privacy curtain. There's also a beautiful library, but you're not allowed to touch the books lol.

Ana and Pedro were exceptional hosts. The community dinner shared with all pilgrims was incredibly touching and was an important part of our camino journey. The pool was a bonus and great for socialising with other pilgrims!

There were some flies in the dorm that were annoying whilst trying to sleep - nothing major!!!!

Breakfast starts at 0.730. I left at 0700 without breakfast as wanted to avoid walking as much as possible in the heat of day. Be nice for option of a grab bag with piece of fruit /croissant

A szállás fantasztikus helyen, a Camino útvonalán helyezkedik el. Nagyon tiszta és rendezett szálláshely, a házigazdák melegszívű, kedves emberek. Nekem itt volt az első közösségi Camino élményem, egy nagyon finom közös vacsora mellett! Kellemes élmény volt.

Struttura molto carina e accogliente, fatta apposta per accogliere i pellegrini. Ana e il marito mi hanno accolta come una figlia, consiglio vivamente di cenare con loro e farsi raccontare le esperienze del cammino, oltre a gustare una cena buonissima.

Os anfitriões são um casal muito simpático, com muitas histórias para contar! Chegámos numa sexta à noite e tiveram a amabilidade de nos permitir fazer o checkin mais tarde e ainda nos prepararam um jantar que estava maravilhoso!!!! O quarto era muito simpático, com wc privada.

Não tem nada a ver com o alojamento e sim com o nosso planeamento. Só reparei que o alojamento não era no centro de valença (que era onde supostamente começaríamos o nosso caminho. No entanto, fica mesmo no caminho. Para quem já vem de trás não tem de fazer desvios. Para nós foram mais cerca de 5km, mas que no final do caminho não contam nada e a experiência dessa noite foi muito boa! OBrigada!!!

Bardzo przyjemna obsługa. Właścicielka zadbała o domową atmosferę. Przepyszna wspólna kolacja, przy jednym stole ludzie z całego świata 😀. Po bardzo upalnym dniu i wielu kilometrach basen okazał się zbawienny.

Amazing place to stay after a long days walking

Это место я не забуду никогда, когда я уходила оттуда у меня текли слезы. Хозяева - семейная пара, мне кажется, я никогда до не встречала таких добрых людей. Эти люди служат пилигримам, другого я не могу сказать. Это самое душевное пилигримское место на пути. Каждый вечер - ужин для всех пилигримов в саду, это было невероятно, как в фильме. И те, слова ,которые сказала хозяйка - навсегда останутся в моем сердце. Если вы читате мой отзыв - моя огромная благодарность Вам и долгих счастливых лет жизни Вам! Вы невероятные люди!

Los anfitriones son una pareja muy amable; organizan una cena comunitaria muy rica para los peregrinos y realmente te ayudan a sentir la experiencia del Camino de Santiago. Además, las instalaciones están muy limpias y la piscina es perfecta para refrescarte después de caminar todo el día. Muchas gracias!

The double rooms were spacious, great showers and outside had a pool to cool down in if necessary.

Given we advised well ahead and also the day prior that we would like to partake in the pilgrim meal it was a bit disappointing to receive a meal that had very little thought put into it. The salad was nice but the chicken and potatoes were quite greasy. The most disappointing moment was the dessert served as it was a shop bought veinetta ice-cream slice... It would not have been difficult to serve a Portuguese tart (pastel de nata). We didn't feel it was value for money and wasnt anywhere near as special as the Spanish pilgrim meals we experienced en route. The hostess is very passionate about the Camino and liked to express her feelings on how the Camino should be embraced.

Diese Herberge war etwas ganz besonderes. Die Zimmer waren gut, von der Größe her optimal. Das Pilgermenü am Abend war toll, das Essen lecker und reichlich. Die Rede der Herbergsmutter Anna sehr emotional. Pilgerfeeling pur.

This hostel was a great experience for me. After ca. 33 Km walking, Ana welcomed me late but with a hug and a lot of tranquility and nice words. I will never forget her <3 She made the difference! All the people had dinner laughing, that she and her partner prepared. It was the only hostel on my route with low beds, bright bathroom and and swimming pool. It was like beeing at home with friends!

The pool was great, and the couple who run the place were so incredibly nice. Family dinner was awesome and great value. They let me borrow their tablet since I needed to do an important interview, so their generosity is boundless! I am so so thankful for them. They really embody the spirit of the Camino <3

Lovely stay on the Camino. We enjoyed the social aspect of the evening meal. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The location was great - the area around the Rio Minho is beautiful. Nice pool.

Voy a menudo porque me gusta el sitio, puedes ir a caminar y pedro y Ana son muy amables. Ahora han puesto una habitación con camas bajas muy cómodas.

No dia 25 de Maio iniciei pela primeira vez, e sozinha, o meu Caminho de Santiago desde Vila Nova de Cerveira. Fui com o coração num misto de sentimentos de receio e incerteza do que iria acontecer. Com a preocupação de ter onde ficar, mesmo tendo planeado e visto alguns lugares antes, contudo, não tinha feito nenhuma reserva, porque não sabia se iria até Valença nesse dia ou se ficava um pouco antes. Decidi às tantas da noite não ir para Valença e reservar o Alvorada Medieval, e acreditem, foi sem dúvida a melhor escolha que fiz para ser a minha primeira pernoita! :) Quando cheguei, fui amavelmente bem recebida pelos anfitriões Ana e Pedro, pessoas com um coração enorme e que recebem cada peregrina/o na sua casa como se fossem família, pois eles próprios também já foram peregrinos durante muitos anos e agora dedicam a sua vida a ajudar outros a seguir o seu Caminho. O sentimento de união, de partilha e convívio nesta casa é, sem dúvida, excecional!! Ninguém fica de fora! Todos podem juntar-se e conhecer-se melhor num maravilhoso jantar comunitário que eles próprios preparam. A comida e as bebidas estavam deliciosas e não sobrou nada, tamanha era a fome, eheh!! Foi uma noite incrível! :D Foi nesta casa que conheci algumas pessoas maravilhosas e que tive a sorte de ir encontrando pelo Caminho, que me foram acompanhando inesperadamente e que marcaram a minha vida. E, por isso, e tudo o resto, só tenho a agradecer! Um especial agradecimento à D.Ana pela sua ternura e simpatia ao conversar comigo depois do jantar. Pela sua preocupação em ajudar-me dando a sua opinião sobre os planos que eu tinha feito para os próximos dias. E um agradecimento ao Sr. Pedro, por, na hora da despedida, me ajudar a ajustar a minha mochila, porque eu não a sabia ajustar e já me estava a magoar. Havia algum equipamento no outro lado da parede do quarto e junto à cama que incomodava e que não cheguei a perceber o que era... mas isso foi apenas um pequeno pormenor que podia ou não interferir com o adormecer. Como tinha tampões, acabei por os usar. De resto, nada a apontar. :)

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Abend in der Unterkunft und mit den besonders herzlichen und inspirierenden Gastgebern. Am Abend haben wir alle zusammen gegessen, das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war auch super. Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!
