Kekai Surf House

The best place to stay while in Taghazout. From the moment I came here I truly felt at home. The volunteers running the place are so nice and friendly and I met a bunch of really cool people while staying here. The rooftop terrace makes for a very natural meeting point where you can socialize, chill and just admire the view. This is the place to stay when in Taghazout.

That I had to leave.

Everyone was super friendly and easy to talk to and the atmosphere was so warm and comforting. It really felt like a welcoming place where you could easily feel at home. A special thank you to the volunteers for always being there to help us with anything we needed.

A perfect hostel for solo travellers.

an absolute gem in taghazout the staff is too welcoming that's what i liked the most along with the terrace view which is fantastic

the only downside is that the shared rooms are not air-conditioned which can get a bit warm but overall a great stay and wonderful atmosphere

Our experience was completely ruined by the haughty and aggressive behavior of three German receptionists. During the Morocco World Cup match, with all the local cafes fully booked, they flatly refused a short, exceptional extension on the rooftop with total contempt. One of them raised her voice and aggressively gave us an ultimatum: "Either you clear out, or you leave the hostel". Their looks of superiority were unbearable. It is utterly unacceptable to be looked down upon and made to feel like a stranger in your own country, by foreigners who disrespect locals while we are paying customers. Fortunately, the Moroccan manager stepped in with true professionalism and empathy to resolve the situation. The current foreign staff is a disgrace to Taghazout’s hospitality.

It was truly a great experience the location was perfect the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly this is a place that once you visit it you will absolutely want to come back again it's so special that after one visit you can't help but return.

Hostel is on the hill, and has therefore a very nice view, but it makes it less easy to go to the center, because you need to climb there stairs again

The best place ever! You cannot come here and not comeback. Vibe is excellent, it’s clean, social and more than a place to sleep. It’s your family for your time in Taghazout.

The private room had an open window to the hallway which could be noisy sometimes, but totally worth it if you bring earplugs :)

Les repas partagés le soir sont une excellente idée et sont succulents. Le lieu est très bien aménagé et décoré, on s'y sent bien, la vue est magnifique et la terrasse est super agréable.

Le bruit dans les couloirs s'entend dans les chambres, et les rideaux individuels ne permettent pas de réduire la lumière extérieure et d'avoir de l'intimité, mais cela reste correct et supportable.

Can be noisy

I had the best time in Taghazout! The people working and the volunteers were very kind. I stayed in the 8th bedroom and I liked that we had curtains, the room was very big so it didn't feel like being in a cave like many other hostels in Morocco. My bed was very comfortable and the dinners at the hostel were very tasty. The terrace of the hostel is a very big plus point.

J’ai séjourné deux fois dans cet hostel, dont une première fois en solo, et j’ai adoré les deux expériences. L’ambiance est conviviale, on s’y sent rapidement à l’aise, même lorsqu’on voyage seule. L’équipe est accueillante et l’endroit favorise les rencontres. C’est un lieu parfait pour profiter de son voyage et partager de beaux moments. Je recommande vivement!

La manager Shu y su novio cocinaban cena todas las noches. Un gran detalle y recetas muy ricas y elaboradas. Las camas eran muy cómodas y el rooftop tenía muy buenas vistas.

The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. They really made a difference. Overall there's a super nice vibe at the hostel and everyone is very open. Really enjoyed the chill and game-nights at the hostel! Would definitely go back. :)

Common dinners on the rooftop

There are no cristals in the inside windows so it's noisy. I could hear people in the staircase, in the shower and the toilet. Didn't sleep well

The facilities are clean and well maintained. The dorms are separated from the toilet, which is ideal (at night, flushing and the opening of the toilet door do not cause disturbance). The staff are super friendly.

I had an amazing stay at Kekai Surf house. The atmosphere is super friendly, the volunteers are welcoming, and the whole place feels like home. The location is perfect, the surf vibes are great, and everything is clean and well-managed. I met really nice people there and would definitely come back. Thanks for the hospitality .

Terrace was the best in town, insane views and good vibes with a social atmosphere shared by good quality people.

Rent och organiserat. Sköna sängar. Mysig terrass med bästa utsikten i stan. Unik möjlighet att se hur vågorna är på flera av surfspoten. Trevlig, inkluderande och bemötande personal.

Vissa dagar kan va rätt intensiva, andra mer chill, beroende på antalet gäster osv. Få platser att slappna av för sig själv (med undantag takterrassen när det är tomt på folk). För enskildhet är det bättre att dra ner på stan 😀.

Very social, easy to meet people and make friends

The standards of this accommodation are really low. Dirty showers with only one curtain to share, Rarely warm water, stinky drains. No ACs and no real windows in the dorms. Upstairs lounge area needs clean sheets as well, as they also had a bad smell. Kitchen sponge older than my grandmom. Dorm beds with no plugs or light, not comfortable. Overall, a low standard, pretty dirty, uncomfy hostel with staff that was not service oriented. But full of great travelers to meet.

The place is great, the atmosphere feels like a family and the staff are very nice.

J'ai trouvé la tarasse parfois bruyante (musique trop forte, guitare) quand on rentre d'une séance de surf intensive ou d'un voyage, on a pas forcement envie de subir le bruit...
