Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Everything is new and decorated nicely, the breakfast was very fresh and homemade. The staff is very helpful, they washed and dried our clothes for us which saves a lot of time while traveling.
The small fridge in the room was working loudly during the night but it’s not necessary to use it as they provide breakfast. You can feel there’s a lot of humidity in the house even though we were visiting in dry season, however there is no mold or bad smells.

Maria sempre atenta no que era necessário para tornar a nossa estadia mais acolhedora, muito prestável. Pequeno almoço digno de um hotel de 4/5 estrelas, muito variado.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026We loved the guesthouse. The owner went the extra mile by preparing breakfast to go for us on two occasions, which we really appreciated. The breakfast served at the guesthouse was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from.
We expected a quieter experience in a small town like São Mateus, but unfortunately the traffic on the main road passing directly by the guesthouse was quite noticeable. It was sometimes noisy and the exhaust fumes were also unpleasant, which took away somewhat from the otherwise pleasant stay.

The city is close to Angra and there's a supermarket nearby if you need it. There a nice little harbour. Quiet town. The garden was being renovated when we were there.

Maria è un host incredibile, insieme al suo staff sono stati di grande aiuto per il bagaglio smarrito e consigli in zona. Colazione super con prodotti salati locali, torte fatte in casa.

Reviewed May 26, 2026A cozy, family-run hotel with just a few rooms. Great breakfast featuring fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, and local pastries. Something different every day. Small kitchen in the common area for guests to use for cooking. Good, quiet location just under 5 km from Angra with free parking nearby (in front of the church). If you need a car, you can ask the hotel for one of their own vehicles, and for a small fee, you can be picked up at the airport. Supermarket just a few meters down the street. Very satisfied overall.

Maria was a very kind host and provided us with a breakfast basket with a variety of food. The shared kitchen was well equipped. Our room was very comfortable. Parking was easy to find in front of the nearby church. Within walking distance to grocery store and good restaurants. We felt at home. Recommended.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2025Sehr schöne familiär geführte Unterkunft. Sauberes Zimmer, schönes Badezimmer, großes Bett. Gemeinsame Terrasse für alle Zimmer nutzbar nach hinten raus. Eine Küche ist auch für alle Gäste nutzbar (Zeitplan). Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Alles wird nachgelegt und ist reichlich vorhanden. Supermarkt in der Nähe. Kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer und auch in der Küche nutzbar. Hauptstraße vor der Unterkunft, tagsüber schon mal laut. Parkplätze vor dem Haus für kleine Autos, sonst an der Kirche in der Nähe.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2025Wir hatten das Familienzimmer für uns 5 gebucht. Es war auf der rückwärtigen Gebäudeseite und damit etwas leiser als die Zimmer zur Straße hin. Zwei Fenster konnten wir öffnen. Leider bekamen wir die Hitze nicht aus dem Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage war etwas zu klein für den großen Raum. Frühstück sehr lecker und gut. Wie haben und wohl gefühlt für 3 Nächte.

Abbiamo chiesto di fare la lavatrice e la signora si è presa carico di tutto e, con 4€, ci ha riportato i vestiti in camera in un pomeriggio. Ci hanno aiutato a prenotare il ristorante e tenuto le valigie l’ultimo giorno dopo che avevamo lasciato la camera. La cucina era pulita e ben attrezzata

La ubicación. Está a 10 minutos en coche de Angra, que es donde hay más cosas. La zona del alojamiento no tiene nada. Dos o tres restaurantes cerca y poco más, todo cierra a las 10pm. Cuando volvíamos tarde después de todo el día de ruta no podíamos ni salir a tomar algo por allí si no cogíamos el coche. Y era difícil aparcar. Si lo llegamos a saber hubiéramos cogido alojamiento en Angra.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025Tutto perfetto, stanza grande, pulita e accogliente, letti comodi, colazione variegata, posizione vicino a una spiaggia, Wi-Fi ottimo, padrona di casa impeccabile, bellissima terrazza, cucina fornita di tutto. Vorrei un posto come questo in ogni luogo in cui viaggio. Grazie davvero! E anche ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Se andate a terceira cercate di alloggiare qui

Reviewed Aug 5, 2025Maria, the owner, made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. The rooms at the front can be slightly noisy at night, if you leave the windows open, as they overlook the road. (but you can always close the window and turn on the a/c). The rooms at the back are fabulous as they open out onto a lovely terrace, which can also be accessed from the communal kitchen, which is spotless and has designated cupboards and fridge space for each of the rooms. Taxi from the centre of Angra costs 7 euros. If you have a car, there is usually space to park in front of the church (about 50 metres away). We left our luggage at the hotel while we were away sailing for 5 nights and it was there waiting for us when we came back for an overnight stay before our flight home the following day. And the breakfasts are fit for a king.
Having to leave 😒. Wish we could have stayed longer...

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Das Guesthouse liegt zentral im Dorf, gegenüber ist ein kleiner Laden, 300 m weiter ein gut bestückter Supermarkt, mehrere Restaurants in kurzer Entfernung (Tisch reservieren!), 1 km entfernt die Badestelle mit Restaurant. Angra erreicht man mit dem Auto in 15 min. Freundlicher Empfang, früherer Check-In möglich, ebenso das Unterstellen des Gepäcks am Abreisetag, jedoch keine 24 h Rezeption. Das Zimmer war nicht groß, aber mit Klimaanlage und Kühlschrank ausgestattet und hell; das Bad ohne Fenster, aber mit Luftentfeuchter, Fön, Toilettenartikeln. Unser Zimmer ging zur Straße hinaus, die man auch gehört hat. Nachts ist es ruhig. Andere Zimmer zum Meer haben einen Zugang zu einer Gemeinschaftsterrasse. Es gibt für alle Zimmer eine große, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche mit Kühlschrank, Gefrierschrank, Esstisch, Fächern für jedes Zimmer und Zugang zur Terrasse. Die Belegung kann über einen Plan organisiert werden. Zu unserer Zeit waren alle Zimmer belegt, die Küche wurde nur von einzelnen Gästen genutzt. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und liebevoll zubereitet. Es gibt neben mehreren Sorten Brot, Wurst, Käse und Marmelade auch Joghurt, gekochte Eier, Kuchen, frisches Obst, Cerealien und Nüsse.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Personnel très gentil et prêt à rendre service. Petit déjeuner très correct. Possibilité de faire des lessives et d’utiliser la terrasse et la cuisine de l’étage. Facile de se garer ( mais il faut une voiture !)

Located in a small village that is quite busy (traffic) but there is not too much to do in the direct vicinity. No big problem if you have a rental car like we did, but good to know.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2025El alojamiento es de 10, el personal súper amable, la habitación muy espaciosa, limpia y con detalles que la hacen muy bonita. Tiene una cocina compartida con todo lo necesario para cocinar y muy limpia y una terraza para poder comer fuera. Por último, pero desde luego no menos importante, el desayuno es increíble, tipo buffet con fruta, zumo, pan, bizcochos... todo buenísimo. Además, el día que te vas, si te tienes que ir pronto te preparan todo en una cajita, lo que nos pareció un detalle.
Es imposible encontrarle un pero a este alojamiento.

Rien mais bien demander les chambres qui ne donnent pas sur la route mais sur la terrasse.
