I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms had aircon, but the beds were oddly positioned. They were very close together (my bed was touching another man's bed and sometimes our feet would touch at night. Just weird). Make sure to bring your own toilet paper. The hostel is run by a lovely man and his beautiful family.

Sturdy beds, dark room for sleep and good Aircon. Very close to beach and local village. Friendly and helpful staff, quiet location, nice social area and multiple showers and toilets for use.

Lots of mosquitos here due to the location so use repellent. No soap in hand basin.

owner is such a nice dude. also they had a DJ one night who was playing some great techno which was fun. aircon was also nice to have.

Everything amazing huge rooms with huge comfortable bed aircon fully working, amazing common area with relaxed home hippies vibe amazing showers and very appreciated the wellcome pack with shampoo and essentials. Owner very helpful relaxed efficient and friendly with 6 beautiful little dogs going around playing with the kids make everything even more beautiful 😍

I disliked that it was loud for hours at night time and the owner didn't care that 5 to 30 people were singing, laughing, screaming until 3 am most night's. Because of that i wouldn't recommend the place to anyone

Overall, the location and accommodation are good. Most of the time the place is very relaxing and typically suits mpai bay.

The location is nice and peaceful and quiet, until, at about 10.30 each night of my 3 night stay, a load of people, about 12, only one or two of whom where staying there, turned up and gathered in the communal area, got a guitar out and started singing. They grew louder and louder, banging on the tables and clapping along to the badly sung Spanish songs. They were also making and taking phone calls, walking around and standing in front of accommodations, talking very loudly, The majority of guests are already, or about to go to bed. Through the night, some would go, but would be soon replaced by the same amount or more. This continued until about 1.30-2 am. The owner did nothing. A couple of times I had to tell them to lower the volume but they just continued. The owner sat in the back out of the way and just let them disturb the guests.

The room is dark, not very well maintained. Not good value for what you pay. Very noisy, roosters outside next to the window. Impossible to keep sleeping after 4.30

Kind and helping people!

MPai bay is a village so you get to know local life which was so nice. Also, prices were lower than the rest of the island.There is jungle path near:) The accomodation is near to the beach and close zo the port so you can take a taxi boat(5 usd one way) to the other beaches on island. Nice mango and pam trees as well as chill zones.

There are several bungalows whisch are open at the roof side so you can expect to find insects and small and big lizards( gekos ) inside your room - have that in mind.Also, frogs are constantly jumping inside the bungalow. We were having trouble to fall asleep becuase roosters were making noise the whole night. There are a.lot of chiken running around. No hot water. Think twice before booking - there are better options.

The hostel itself very nice. Nice staff. Good and quiet location. There is a pretty nice garden and we liked staying there.

During the night we could hear rats that running all over the walls. There wasn’t any rat inside the room but because of the fact they stayed between the walls we heard it loudly. It was a bit disturbing. The hostel owner tried to help us.

Amazing place to stay and the owner and his wife are very friendly. I would def recommend this place to stay on the island!

Loved the very relaxed vibe here. So much that we are still here 3 days later! Got a room with A/C and private bathroom for a very fair price. Lovely family who own it. Really close to everything in M’pai Bay.

Owner was really rude when I asked if there was any drinkable water available and didn’t provide any drinkable water available anywhere in the hotel for over 48 hours.

It was a very relaxing stay. We really loved Mpai bay and Mr.İhsan and his family really helped us with our trip in the island. The hotel has a garden which is very enjoyable after a day in the beach.

It was a very good stay. The owner is super friendly and helps you with anything. You feel comfortable right away. Shared room with air conditioning whenever you want (which is very appreciated). Comfortable and spacious bed. Spacious bathroom. Thank you so much!

nice dorm with good aircon (& not limited to certain hours), close to the pier, restaurants and bars. you could even see a bit of the ocean!

no toilet paper or hand soap… had some cockroaches in my room but it wasn’t a big deL, that’s just how it is being close to the jungle!

I had a lovely stay here- the location was perfect- close to lots of restaurants and bars yet quiet at night, right next to a great sunset view. I stayed in the single hut- the bed was comfortable and there was a fan that worked well.

Only issue was there was rarely toilet paper, and refillable drinking water

The property is really lovely and spacious, with lots of seating areas and a beautiful garden. The bungalow was basic but it had a generous mozzie net and the bathrooms were always clean, and had a rain-shower head.

The fan in my room fell off the wall in the middle of the night. It was full of grime and dirt, and was already loose when I checked in. Hopefully it has been replaced completely.

Really nice place to stay, I stayed in a big dorm room but it had AC, one of the only places that did!

Good location and a very chilled vibes location. Very simple accomodation but you know that before you get there. Overall would recommend it as a place to stay and explore for a few days.

Very basic room and bathroom with comfortable bed and cold water shower separated from the toilet/sink. The mosquito net and fan worked well and we weren’t hot at night.

Lots of mosquitoes and it was very loud very early in the morning from the chickens. Our room/bathroom was not the cleanest and it was a small bed for two people compared to other places we have stayed. No toilet paper provided. We were in a room on the ground floor and we could clearly hear the person in the room above and I’m sure they could hear us! There were usually people hanging round the communal area on their phones who seemed to work there but we weren’t sure who they were or what they were doing! We specifically booked this place because it said it had free Wi-Fi but we received a message shortly after booking to say there wasn’t Wi-Fi but they have a hotspot you can use. We asked to clarify if there would be Wi-Fi because we knew we would need it and received the message ‘yes we do have WiFi and you can use it anytime you need’ so we kept our booking. When we arrived it turned out they didn’t have Wi-Fi, just a hotspot from a phone and staff had to be present to use it. The signal was weak so we couldn’t always connect to it and there were times we wanted to use the hotspot and we could not find any staff to use it which was disappointing! We also booked here because it said check in was 7am-4pm and we knew we would be arriving on an early boat which we told the hosts about in advance. However, when we arrived we were told we couldn’t check in until the afternoon and that the check in time on Booking was incorrect. After a bit of back and forth, they said they would check to see if the room was ready which it turned out it was and we were able to check in. If we hadn’t have shown them the check in time or pushed them to check the room, we wouldn’t have been able to check in until the afternoon even though the room was ready which we found a bit odd. We found it to be overpriced for what it is and we have stayed in similar but much nicer accommodation on the islands.

Everything was fine. :-) you got all you need. The room was spacious enough, the bed was comfy and the mosquito net kept the mosquitos out :-) The common area is really chilled with nice chairs to sit in and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast was also good 🌞

Issam is the soul of the place. Smiling, kind, welcoming, he's just amazing. All the staff is . The guesthouse is in the middle of a tropical garden. My room was very nice and the shared bathroom always clean.

Unfortunately my room was very close to the cambodian neighbors and they were very noisy early in the morning. Also, the mattress was a bit old and not so comfortable.

Owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a great time there and really liked the setup with the bungalows around the garden area. A big plus for us is that you could also enjoy some good music when you wanted to chill and hang out there. You can buy food and drinks from the menu and they offer water refill. Overall, a great place with a good vibe that we recommend.

Quiet and serene atmosphere. Friendly, warm staff! Good food and waking up by the sounds of birds! The owners is also a top bloke. The beds and the little houses we were sleeping in were also really comfortable.

Sometimes we had no water for a moment, but this never took too long. This didn't really bother us too much.

The hostel was beautifully curated with a nice garden where u can stay in the hammock reading or have some drinks in the restaurant. Owner was a french who.is.very kind and helpful, great value.

Wifi was non existent in the rooms but available in the common area. Drinking Water refills are charged, when other places on the island give it to you for free.

Lots of rooster around which was nice to feel you’re in a rural area but they cluck all the time, day and night Also, I got bitten by too many mosquitoes, flies and not sure if other kind of bugs. I wanted to stay longer but that was way too much (usually I handle these things pretty well, I literally had over 100 bites from shoulders to toes)

Awesome host with all the information you need for staying on the island. Really well situated and still relaxed and quiet. Really big garden to chill and relax. Quick access to the snorkeling area.

A lot of roosters in the area, in case they want to do a rooster Showdoww, bring some earplugs. The beds are quite soft so it depends on your preference, also your weight how far you sink in.

The hospitality was excellent. Very relaxing.

It had an awesome vibe and I loved the honor system. Izzo and his family were great hosts and the food was delicious. And his kids were great entertainment when just chillin in the main house! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It was an amazing experience to be in lazy bones. You could feel the nature at the hostel. So calm and quiet. So beautiful place. The owner was just like brother to me. He was explaining a lot of sites nearby. We had an amazing conversation. I got to know his personal experience and it was awesome. Would like to visit again.

Very simple acommodation, but all you need really, with a lovely host. Great location and chill place to relax.

The door to my room had swollen so wasn't able to close it, but it's the type of place that you still feel comfortable and safe despite this.

Great place to stay for a rustic experience ☺️ The location is great, it's close to everything (beach, pier, restaurants). That was super convenient, as no matter where I was, it was never far from the Lazy Bones. The hosts are very nice people, they gave me tips on how to save money with the ferry trip :)

Not really anything to mention, still short after Covid so things are planned to get renovated/updated.

We spent 8 nights here. This part of the island is quite secluded but we absolutely loved it. The town is quite small but lots of different options for food and good choice of bars. Isan and his family have a lovely set up, very relaxed area to read or do some work. No wifi at the property but if your data runs out theres a small shop in the centre of town where you can get top ups for Metfone and other providers. No cash points or card machines on the island so make sure you bring enough for your stay. The rooms were really cosy and had good mosquito nets set up. We were really sad when we had to leave. Thank you.

Places at M"Pai Bay are just getting back on their feet after COVID closed it all. There are some empty places but it was fantastic here and I suggest you go see for yourself 😎

Really amaizing owner and family. They will help you with anything that you need. The room is comfortable and fair price. I really recommend this place.

Super chill environment and really nice communal area :) The showers are cold, there are fans in the room... Its very simple but if you dont mind simple living it's great. I stayed 5 nights and could have stayed longer. They don't currently do food but are planning to open up the kitchen again soon. You can get beer, water and coffee then they're happy for you to bring in snacks! Love Lazy Bones <3

Issan and his family are really great people and we had the best time in Lazy Bones. They supported us in everything we wanted to do . Really fair price, cozy bungalows , nice garden area to chill during the day and 2 min walk to the pier- best place to stay on mpay bay !!!!

Facilities are basic but that was all expected before booking. Other than that, it was a good stay!

I enjoyed my stay at Lazy Bones. They have a really nice garden and it is so nice to just chill there. The dorm was okay. The owner is really nice and helpfull!

I had an unwanted visit of some animals in the dorm. But to be fair it‘s on an island so close to the jungle.

Very nice and cool people, lovely nature, sea, all restaurants and stuff are literally 1 min walk.

Location of this hostel - M PAI Bay is perfect for couples or someone who looking for peace. But for me it was just boring. To closer party place - 15$ and 20-40min on the boat to other island. If you're lucky, because if weather is bad - you're stuck. I expected room, but got something between doghouse and ten - 4m² under triangle roof, mattress on the floor, fan, lovely lights. Still not that bad for 15$/night during end of December. It's ain't bad, but you're definitely will not bring someone here, if you planning to. In total - I think owner should just add proper photos of this "room" to his booking, because me, and I think not only me expected other room

Nice Place to stay :) nice owner and stuff. it’s closed to beach but you have your own private green Paradies. I like to wake up and see so much green and do yoga. I want to come back

Very friendly place with family atmosphere and chilled space. A bit hidden from the night rush but still in a centrum of the village. The owner and his wife are very kind and both speak English. Their home food was extraordinary and fresh coconut from their tree served with metal straw was our daily dessert. They have also cozy outdoor bar in a wooden style. I would definitely come here again. Every time we met them they had some honest and warm smiles for us and were happy to help us with everything needed for some paradise days.

the guest house is about a 5/8 minute walk from pier where boat drops you off..I stayed in a wooden bungalow with bathroom & fan,room was basic but clean and comfortable and good value for money.all the bungalows are set in a nice garden area with hammocks mmm and there is restaurant where you can relax,nice and quiet at nighttime..Isaan and his family were lovely people and great hosts,and when I’m back in M’Pai bay will definitely stay there again..

Very warm welcome by the owner! Told us where to find everything in village, from laundry to where to by either local (2usd breakfast) or western (5-8usd) breakfast. Nice and well maintained garden to hang around in, clean rooms. Can definitely recommend this place for a calm and nice stay in M'Pai Bay! Loved it here.

loved the chilled and laid back atmosphere! perfect vibe to really give you a taste of island life! nice communal area to hang out too if you need to escape the sun for a while! feels so welcoming! big shout out to the owner too! he’s always about and good guy!

we didn’t mind it cause it was so hot - but just be aware the showers are cold! we actually grew to love the cold showers! they were deffo needed!

lazy bones is a very nice place to stay, chill, enjoy the beach and the village. Isan is very welcoming and available. it was for me a very nice stay with very nice people
