The dorms have double beds and not bunk beds. Nice and big bathroom. Big lounge and nice terrace. Very good value for money

L'emplacement près du lac où circulent les bus locaux pour aller en ville, la possibilité d'aller à pied au centre, le très bon accueil du propriétaire et de son manager, une bouilloire avec thé et café, un frigidaire, un micro-ondes. Douche chaude. Au premier étage, un salon salle à manger ainsi que 3 chambres, le tout très spacieux, bien décoré et élégant.

Nous avons choisi le dortoir avec deux lits et nous partagions la washroom avec le manager. Installations sommaires mais bon rapport qualité-prix. Pas de possibilité de laver son linge ni de cuisiner.

Clean and basic accommodation. The location was good. The owners were lovely people. Wifi worked well.

Wir hatten keine Klimaanlage und im Bad war es sehr warm, da es nur ein kleines Fenster gab.

It was pretty warm, I could take a shower every 1-2hours. Comfy bed, clean shower room, common place. Close to the beach.

Tangalle was just so warm that the ceiling fan seemed to be not enough to cool me down. Wifi is weak.

Comfortable, clean and nice place.

Very warm family, welcoming and helpful, good location near the bus station and with plenty shops, restaurants and beaches around. Clean dorm with huge beds, it gets hot but there's a strong fan and also it's Sri Lanka so obviously hot. The family also run an on site restaurant, food is very nice and reasonable prices.

The owner is very nice and helpful. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, and the main bus station is around 10 minutes. You can order food in the restaurant downstairs (also owned by the hotel) which is very fairly priced and delicious.

The dorm doesn’t have AC, and got extremely warm at night. There is only a ceiling fan to keep you cool and it just isn’t enough. I sweat through both of nights there which was not so nice. There is only one bathroom (toilet + shower) for 6 people, so you may need to wait to shower/get ready.

Nice and clean with a big bed and towel provided. Close to places to eat and buy food. Nice place to sit outside

Bit out of the way of beaches

The location is perfect, and the family is nice. Close to the bus station and beach.

Great stay! Hosts were very welcoming and it was a nice restaurant for meals throughout the day! The rooms were decent with large single beds and good sized and clean bathroom. There were 3 rooms on 1 floor of all girls so it was a nice space and plenty of areas for socialising! The WiFi was also excellent which isn’t often in Sri Lanka!! Also plug sockets next to the bed!

There is no ac just a ceiling fan which was okay but no fresh air so the room was warm. Could benefit from a couple of ground fans maybe? Perhaps a little bedside table instead of a chair would be more useful?

The owners are lovely. She's got a restaurant as well and the food tastes really good! Everything is clean and comfortable.

The lady of the house is wonderful, so sweet and careful. You can also count on her husband for Tuktuk drive or so. The food which you can as well eat in the restaurant Lankan Delight has the best flavors at an affordable price!

Located just off main road, a 10minute walk to the bus station and a 5 minute walk to the beach this hotel/hostel is perfect for a relaxed stay in Tangalle. The dorm room is 3 big beds with mosquito nets and ceiling fan. The family that run this place are so friendly and make the most incredible and well priced food!

I was staying as a hostel guest but the room was fully available just for me, it was a really welcoming and amazing stay in Tangalle since, the hospitality of the family is really great. They are also preparing very tasty Sri Lankan food for lunch , dinner and breakfast. I fell in love with Tangalle thanks to this place :)

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. The family are so lovely and kind, made us breakfast and dinner each day, gave me a scooter to rent and helped us with transport recommendations etc. I will definitely be back!

The food offered was very good! Owner was super nice and helpful if there was any issue or enquiry, very responsive. The place was clean. The balcony overlooking palm trees was so nice!

The room got quite hot at night. At times I felt a second bathroom would have been nice. I would have enjoyed access to filtered water to avoid the plastic but water was conveniently available to purchase on site.

The host was just lovely. Clean, quiet, 5 minutes walk away from the beach.

The beds were large and comfortable, the property was clean and easy to get to, and it was very affordable. Tangalle is a deeply underrated destination on the south coast for relaxing beach time and great food.
